My Minecraft MOON turned RED... (what happened?)

one of Minecrafts most rarest appearances in game is the legendary Blood Moon no one knows when it first showed up or wide cane but needless to say it's become a staple in Minecraft lore I first happened to cross my red blood moon recently in this very world but did you guys know that there's also a very special moon a blue moon no wait huh let's turn the lights on much better yeah well at least see a little bit now all the same what's going on guys log that zip here and welcome to a very special video where we uncover you could say shed some light on the red and blue moons of Minecraft Blood Moon sounds kind of scary so which knee you've got already both the red and the blue moon drastically affect your minecraft worlds when they happen to be played with them and I've pinpointed the exact world where both of them exist it's in the description of today's videos of you want to check out these moons for yourself only my world has them at least of the ones I've found there's been reports of other people seeing these crazy moves today we're gonna be figuring out exactly what they do to our worlds and so don't mind me while we jump into today's video yeah alrighty so let's show you these moons oh it's daytime well we got a little time to explain we've set up a little area that demonstrates how the moons work we've got some commands that we figured out allow us to summon in the moons that much sooner so needless to say we've got plenty of time to study we burnin daylight though so let's begin red moon or blue moon or blood moon it means red blood same thing you know although I thought the moons were made of cheese yeah let's start with the Blood Moon I mean it's honestly only once in a blue moon that the Blood Moon recommended we get ourselves some gear iron leather bread let's get this bread let's make this bread you're the new textures and the snapshot are awesome yes that's right this is a rare occurrence and the new snapshots for 1.14 might add so the Blood Moon in order for the Blood Moon to appear and start messing everything up you're going to need a spider jockey to spawn into this world this is extremely rare mob spawn that only happens one in a billion approximately I made up that number by the way spawn rage for spiders every once in a while a skeleton will spawn right on top and so we've got a command here that saves us some time and as far as that puppy I behold I said on my sword ready because this thing's gonna start tagging us right away y'all ready hooah perfect the red moon is rising and we got to take out this guy because look how strong my goodness and I spawned pretty much right where the spider is is he gonna kill me where is he oh is it visible make up your mind are you invisible or are you not invisible gosh I don't have to worry about it either way but look there it is the red moon blood moon I'm gonna keep messing up the name of it you just guys got to deal with it remnants of the evil that once was will permeate the area around you until you get close and absorb the delicious and particle effects where's my chest plate though it's my inventory well anyway I know it's all spooky this and that but it's kind of hard to see so I'm gonna go ahead and give myself good night be who I'll be on the same page you see much better it's still red or blood it's the blood red whatever when a blood moon is active we're gonna call blood moon it sounds cooler when a Blood Moon is active some interesting things begin to happen in your world you cannot mine or heal while the Blood Moon is active and if you couldn't tell a second ago the mobster way flip it's stronger you wouldn't believe but look at this we have full hunger right now and yet no healing what gives this is the worst update ever you can't even mind things look it's unreal uh I can't punch I can't mind I can't do anything you're basically stuck until the moon phase ends you could be a cheap little mud and accidentally or I'm purposely set the time forward so that you skip out of this face but we're gonna play it nice and easy okay we're gonna stay in the phase because there's more to show off they can be craft mr. Seth forgot to mention a new special mob shows up during these blood moons I mean looking it up they keep hitting my bell my mistake trying to be creepy right now a new mob spawns in when the Blood Moon is active it's known as gosh I keep going back signs it's right here the rare moon got in drops moon shots from this Blood Moon we've got a demonstration area right over here oh boy hi hi little cow hi there what's the matter with you look at them they're all like possessed by the weird particles anyways here's a moon guardian watch out because naturally gosh you are hideous ugly get away you can't heal up any damage during this moon phase so if you let him do too much damage to you I mean honestly that's essentially the end of it but if you manage to kill this Blood Moon guardian not only will you get zombie flesh for some reason don't ask questions it's okay but you'll also get a blood look at this thing it's magnificent kind of reminds me of a wig from some anime character toupee or not toupee that is the question well we got this one for free is that we should be good to go you'll get a moon char so what can you use these for huh and so you can use these blood moons charge to make some real special the Blood Moon blade yes I know it's ridiculous looks awesome you're gonna need to Blood Moon shards and a stick as you may have guessed in order to make this thing be Howard the blue team lead fantastic so what can you do with this special Blood Moon made what could I just say ultimate tongue twister ridiculous well you can use the Blood Moon blade to attack creature eye jeez but more importantly the Blood Moon blade does in fact have a passive effect it's happening to me right now every few seconds it will SAP blood from you and you will take instant damage so if you're not holding the sword you're safe but the moment you start wearing this thing well you are prone to the blood blades effects and naturally since there's a Blood Moon active you can't heal it all during this Porsche of the moon face that sounded weird and yet at the same time you need this blade to stay alive during the moon phase because when you kill creatures with your Blood Moon blade they will drop moon hearts ooh romantic I mean that against the hearts broken so maybe not but either way if you put these in your offhand slot while using the Blood Moon blade instead of it damaging you you'll see here that it in fact heals you instead we just healed up a whole bunch of damage that was really nice yes and you can get them from killing mobs during the Blood Moon phase you won't always get a heart but every once in a while you will and so if you didn't notice here you will constantly consume these hearts as long as you have the sword in your hand finally it's important to note that the Blood Moon blade makes you real strong you get strength too that's amazing this is a really good sword as long as you've got the heart to handle it literally you'll be good to go but now the question is banked what about the blue moon well truth be told were just in time for it because the Blood Moon just went over the horizon and I lovely Sun is here and then we could start basking in the yeah what I don't know what I'm saying anymore the moon's obviously got some other effects the blade and so eventually you'll have your healing ability and still Ord once again I don't think that's a word look I can't speak today guys just leave me alone it's fine but look i hunger finally went down and our hearts finally went up okay are you all ready for the blue moon or what this one's way nicer the blood moons kind of scary spooky ultimate spoopy yeah blue moon well you know it's a little bit sweeter allow me to elaborate find a charged creeper to activate again another rare creature to find just out in the open truth be told you can only get a charged creeper by having a lightning bolt strike it which you can also cause to happen now with the new trident abilities interesting you could install the Blood Moon at any time you want mmm stall is an interesting word choice but thankfully we don't have to worry about that because again we set up some command blocks to let it happen for us yeah it was good with it uh it was the baby the blue moon is rising scary pls hey don't blow up huh yeah don't blow up my showcase air you creep okay good we've got some more supplies to grab for the blue moon showcase so we're gonna go ahead and grab those right here I got some third I got a pickaxe let's get this bread and of course a diamond sword with sweeping edge now your inventory is safe during the amazing blue moon and just look at it it is really blue like bobbidi to have a dye level blue like it's very impressive but yes your inventory is entirely safe not only that but mobs don't spawn in and loot is doubled interesting if mobs don't spawn in and loot is doubled well then I don't think you'll be getting the double loot maybe there's some mobs that are already spotted that's probably what it is no new mobs spawn in anyways check it out I'm burning alive life is pain goodbye just kidding during the blue moon you keep all your items it's what did you send the sign with your pay attention and so right here we've got a button to spawn in some mobs just show off that loot tations and don't mind me while we use our new blade to take out these creatures not what I had in mind can we just no do not blow up oh my gosh too much and so look we got two bones and look two gunpowder and look what okay well it doubles it sometimes it's not a 100% loot double but you know be happy sometimes it gets doubled period what do you mean sometimes creepers dropped you gunpowder anyways what do you mean sometimes Skilton giant ask you anything every once in a while you'll see lightning strike the earth and what that is is a signal for the blue moon has sent us a moon shock sometimes chunks of moon fall from the sky these can be mined and we'll go ahead and check how bad explosion right over there now oh wow they're closer than I thought you're the whole set of trees just going up in smoke look at it huh but more importantly look at this we have ourselves a lovely miner but what the heck is not letting me mine it what gives let's try with a diamond pickaxe there we go much better upon mining yourself a chunk of blue moon you'll get yourself a very special couple different items blue moon dust as well as occasionally it was really nice luck by the way a blue moon shard I literally had no way of controlling that drop happening it was great and so once you have three of these blue moon shards you can make yourself a blue moon pickaxe that's right a blood moon blade and a blue moon pickup you'll naturally also need you two sticks cuz that's a pickaxes work like a - fantastic and all of its glory I keep turning off night or no nitrogen okay so let's compare mining speeds we've got ourselves a fun little area to set this puppy up in just kidding I forgot a section let's do this first here's a replication of that see look ah ah ah where that one go this is seeming like it isn't random yeah just see that's the equivalent of those moon orange falling from the sky it's like a new command that's like in game it's wild anyways yes mining showcase the difference check this out when you have the pickaxe on you you get a passive haste effect so that you can mine a lot fat look at that look at it is nice you look at this you're like this this is good hey but it's not enough it's never enough here is the blue moon pickaxe just a smidge faster but you'll notice something special we somehow just got a diamond from this emerald what is going on exactly well allow me to explain the blue moon pickaxe has a chance at converting whatever or you're mining into the next level up item that a coal just became iron this iron okay well it didn't work that time I did say it's only a chance the gold becomes lapis it's kind of a ripoff the diamond becomes a diamond that makes sense gold gold iron turned into gold another iron we get a diamond for that yes we did what do we get but is nothing lapis oh and emerald yeah yeah we got animals at a lapis best deal ever don't mind if I do but then look at this you're probably wondering what the dust is for you know this blue moon dust well if you put it in your offhand while you're mining with the pickaxe your chance of conversions of these objects goes greatly up as you can see here it's working magnificently namely that all of our dust is now gone oh boy it's okay there's more in this chest over here give it to me yeah it's perfect my no way honey boo I don't know what that is whoo that is why that is and just look at it emeralds and diamonds galore now if you do happen to run out of blue moon dust that's just fine you can actually take your blue moon shards that you use to make the pickaxe and crush them into dust so that you always have the ability to get some new goodies and so overall my friends a pretty impressive new change the Blue Moon in all of its benevolence and of course the red moon in all of its reverence hey that kind of
