in micah micah 7 verse 18. i'm gonna read it from the niv first and it says who is a god like you who forgives iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage he retains not his anger forever because he delights in mercy and loving kindness now i'm gonna go to the message bible because i feel like it unveils this scripture in such an extraordinary way i want you to catch it it says where is the god who can compare with you wiping the slate clean of guilt turning a blind eye a deaf ear to the past sins of your purge and precious people who don't nourish your anger and you don't stay angry long when your mercy kisses your mercy is your special [Music] you hear what i piece it says your mercy is his specialty he specializes in showing mercy my god nobody needs to touch that it says that's what you love most i i don't know about you but i don't know any person on this earth that loves showing mercy i don't know anybody who at one point or another doesn't want to return the favor that you show them you catch what i'm saying i don't know any person that at one point or another doesn't want to go to the top but our god says it's as he specializes [Music] he specializes [Music] [Applause] that's why that scripture for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son he would specialize in it [Music] he was telling you what he loves to do love which is the show somebody better go somebody better go home with this you think about that all week while you're doing what you're doing and see how god is showing you mercy and compassion day after day that scripture tears me up we have a god that specializes in mercy that's what he loves most micah 7 and 18 go home and read it it's going to bless you when you catch it that your god specializes much going on in the world that our world is ever changing but our god somebody can testify that our god remains the same and i'm so glad that the lord tells us that this will be a house of what of prayer so at this moment when you begin to center your hearts open up your hearts unto god and begin to pour out your very prayer needs on the lord will you pray with me god we thank you for this moment lord we feel your spirit moving in this place even now lord many of us have come into the house with what for one thing or another god but lord we feel your presence in this place today so god we know that you inhabit the praises of your people so god we pray now that your spirit will begin to move like never before in this place god we stand in anticipation for what you will do in this place on today lord but your word says when two or three are gathered in the mist lord that there you will be so god as we stand as a family we begin to pray for some of our members who are in need of your of a move of god so god we ask right now that you would touch corrida brown oh god in the death of her son lord right now in the name of jesus would you go and be with her even now in this time lord let your angels dispatch your loving angels around her in this time even now but then god we pray for the family of andrea hicks oh god in the loss of her fight with cancer lord we know that we don't have all the answers we may not understand why but god we put our trust and our hope in you lord for where there is no answer god we find hope and soul is in the word of god so lord right now we pray for latricia roger james and god and their son trevin oh god who is fighting for his life lord right now we declare and decree that we're going to believe the report of the lord we're declaring in decree right now that you're going into the hospital rooms and you're moving on his behalf even now but then god we pray for the family of monica cody and the passing in her passing o god we pray right now that you would be her comfort that you would be their comfort in the name of jesus so god right now we stand as a collective body yeah and we begin to give your name all the glory and the honor and the praise because we may not see what you're doing right now god we may not understand what you're doing now but god we still stand ready to receive all that you have for us and then god even on this welcome back sunday for the college students we stand in proxy for them right now and we declare that this will be one of their greatest years yet we stand in anticipation for what you're going to do in their lives as they stand as a beacon of god on their college campuses so god right now in the name of jesus we pray right now for this service we won't wait until the manifestation lord we won't wait until we see it but we begin praising your name even now well lord for you've been good to us for you've been kind to us you've been better to us than we've been to ourselves god we praise your holy and righteous name for you are a good dog in fact you've been better than good lord you kept our minds up and for that we say thank you you kept our families and for that we say thank you that you kept our health and for that we say thank you lord we don't ask for anything but god we thank you for everything it is in the name of jesus we pray and we say amen and amen and amen can you give your god a good praise this morning can you give your god some worship this morning but he's due i worship and i praise you may be seated in the presence of our gods [Music] [Applause] come continue to pray for seven months old gavin we're praying for you uh marquita and tevin we know that you are watching probably in the nicu area and uh at vanderbilt we're believing god for uh god will touch that precious baby seven months old we know the power of prayer and thank you mount zion for continuing to pray for all who stand in need of prayer know that we absolutely are doing that i'm excited no christians excited about college pastor our college students been doing so much work any college students in the house today i mean any college students yeah yeah [Applause] so excited about what god is going to be doing and of course we rep we thank god whether you know your graduate student undergrad mount zion has always been a ministry that's committed to college students we've invested in you and plan to continue to do that even in terms of the programs we have gearing up for some great things and no pastor christian has been on those campuses and we're so excited to have you so make certain that you are ready to receive what god has for your life at the conclusion of the message you'll have an opportunity to make a decision for jesus christ because we believe that it doesn't mean anything if you don't act on the word that you receive but i believe god has given you an opportunity to not only be here to be watching but to connect and we are giving god glory for the hundreds of souls even since we've been back into this physical location and the virtual space together the hundreds of souls over uh the last two and a half weeks that have connected to this ministry who people who want to grow in the things of god we're going to prepare our hearts and we here at mount zion we believe that the generous soul those who are generous of people who god can trust with blessings we are stewards of what god gives to us and today i want you to prepare your hearts as we prepare to worship god in giving my question today has god been good to anybody out there today has he been good [Applause] let me tell you something what we do is so many programs and things that we're doing we're touching the lives of people uh we're ministering to people all around the world and when you're given this ministry you're giving to ministry you're giving to causes you're helping us to reach the world this ministry is a debt-free ministry and to god be the glory for that because of the stewardship of the people who serve who give who sow and who believe even around the world and to that degree any farmer knows that when you seek good soil that's why you want to put your seed because you know you got to look at the soul and say no well some come out of that every good farmer knows that's the soil but i want to sow amen that's how you do it and you know that's just what god has done in nature and i believe it happens in the spirit people who are spiritual understand that i want to thank god let me tell you how god is using this ministry to be a blessing one of our friends in columbia south carolina at the right direction church bishop herbert bailey his ministry i heard about what mount zion had done becoming a debt-free ministry in a pandemic and this man of god is spiritual he understood that he reached out to me and said hey i want to sow into that because i want to believe god for debt-free to happen in my church in columbia south carolina we thank god for the right direction church bishop herbert bailey they've sown a ten thousand dollar seed into mount zion come on so we declare we declare debt free will hit columbia south carolina at the right us to do we got to trust god it's more than just talking about how much your love you got to give to show god how much you love for god so loved the world that he gave and that's what we do we're other immediate areas that are going unmet for instance some of our members in louisiana have expressed an immense need for financial support as they are and have spent their expendable funds on [Music] my i am [Applause] [Music] oh my gosh thank you choir today as we prepare to receive this word today we're going into part two of a series that we call the measurement of maturity it's about how we look at our lives and where we are spiritually we ask ourselves are we where we need to be are we growing and place where god would have us to grow and today as you hear this word i pray that you will be challenged god will open up your heart and your spirit to hear completely because today's words gonna be different but it's gonna help somebody make sense out of some of the struggles you've had so father we're thankful that we're grateful for this word today send your word to our lives you're blessed that our faith be strengthened and we give your name to glory and praise for what's going to happen now move as only you know how in jesus name we pray amen first corinthians chapter 10 and verse 13 no temptation has overtaken you except such is common to man but god is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able but with the temptation will also make a way of escape that you may be able to bury it you may be seated today and today we're talking about how to handle temptation one of the most fascinating things about being a believer is that the very things we enjoy the most we're uncomfortable talking about in church but let's get right to it right out of the gate i am talking about temptation today now before you default in your spirit thinking about temptation it's only about promiscuity and those kinds of sins temptation can manifest itself in a variety of ways it could be the credit card in your pocket or purse and you convince yourself that the sale in the mall was ordained by god for you temptation can be that chocolate cake at 10 30 at night or that honey barn at 10 pm at night temptation manifests itself in a variety of ways it is the intentional enticement of a person or something to bait you to bait you usually pride self-gratification or caught up in the mix of it and it ultimately is about disobeying god's word the predicate may be demonic or fleshly but the object is the defiance of god's mission in the world temptation is not new to you it's not new to god it goes way back from the very beginning of time in the garden of eden when adam and eve were tempted by that serpent the devil in the garden they believed the lie and ultimately were laid into the trap of death and loss you see god is not in the business of tempting us it is not god the devil does this it makes no sense for god to want to tempt us because it is sin that is antithetical to god's nature so god would never tempt you so if you come to receive a word today you're in the right place at the right time you are watching on the right stream because the truth is all of us need some help in this area sometimes it's that silent thing we're struggling with that nobody knows about we have to deal with these silent temptations and issues because they can become public problems as i preach this word some of you are reflecting over your life right now you've already identified your temptation right now you're like well i know why i'm here today i know why i'm watching today yeah and that's okay because maybe somebody else is watching and you're sitting there in self-righteousness ready to turn the stream off ready to tip out because you feel like well this doesn't affect you because you're perfect but let me be clear with your perfect self you must remember what f b meyer says that when you see a brother or sister struggling with temptation several things you should do and know remember you don't really know how hard they tried not to succumb to the sin you also don't know the powerful forces that were at work to seduce them in that space and you really don't know what you would have done had you been in the same situation if it were not for the grace of god some of us would know we would be caught up in stuff we would still be trying to get over right now what paul gives us is not just the word today but paul gives us a strategy strategy to help us overcome the systematic attack of the enemy to use temptation to lure us away from the very plans of god for our lives and there are many who often want to excuse our temptation it's very unique or it's something that you know just just happening to me but god reminds us the temptation is not unique it happens to all of us it is common to man everybody up in here mask everybody watching around the world has something that you are being tempted by every single day the temptation to stay in the temptation to not work out but to just lay in the bed a little longer the temptation not to study the temptation it just comes in so many different forms the temptation to pay attention to me right now while somebody's trying to send you a message focus all those things are tempting you but there is victory in this house today because what you need to understand by watching the day is that there's victory because whatever temptation whatever issue and struggle you brought in this place today and you're watching the day you're not going to leave today with it today is the last day you're going to struggle with this stuff that god is going to break some chains in this place today [Applause] the torment is going to end today the generational curses are going gonna end today you're gonna wave some stuff goodbye today you're gonna delete some stuff out your phone today and so you're gonna change some places you're going to eat today first corinthians 10 is a very interesting scripture because it deals with the generation of the israelites who escape from egypt and paul refers back to them and uses this as an analogy to help us understand how god brought them out but yet they were constantly tempted to go back into idolatry to serve idols it was the lord god who brought them out but yet they kept reverting back to idols idols or anything that puts itself ahead of god and so paul says really you must understand that you have to stand in christ and don't get cocky and confident and thinking this are you standing in christ you don't have this proclivity to always want to go back to the idol before christ brought you out and made you free we have to be careful in this time when the world is quote unquote opening back up because when you were at home in the pandemic and you couldn't get out like you thought you could have gotten out it was jesus jesus jesus god god god jesus jesus god god god and now the world is opening back up now it's turn up turn up turn up i ain't got time for jesus no more i'd admit somebody named this and that's you putting idols ahead of god it was god who got you out but the idol lures you back into it through temptation and you don't realize just like that you could be called up but as we move forward i want you to understand today how to really understand temptation so let's let's just go real let's just get very practical today right let's let's look at temptation explain in order to overcome it you've got to understand it now james is a good place to start the book of james the epistle james chapter 1 verse 13 through 15 says these words let no man or woman say what they are tempted they are tempted by god for god could not be tempted with evil neither tempt that he any man but every man is tempted watch this when he is drawn away in his own lust and then enticed then when lust has conceived it brings forth sin and sin when it is finished it brings forth death in essence what james is saying sin is an inside job whatever is in you is what draws you to what is tempting you i can put some i can put some uh crack up here and some of y'all it wouldn't even faze you that ain't your issue crack but if i put some weed up here see whatever is in you is what draws you to it so it's easy for the person who the thing isn't affecting to say see that's what's wrong with you right now see because you you always tempt it because see that don't bother them but everybody got something that pulls you away well i'm gonna get real today i promise you i am going to get as real as i can get today see you understand something the strength of temptation is your flesh it's important to understand this because we are drawn away in our own lust the flesh has insatiable desires and if it is not undisciplined those desires will grow if you don't understand how to discipline your flesh your flesh will continue to grow and grow temptation appeals to the flesh in several areas what looks good well if it didn't look so good i wouldn't want it and they saw that the fruit looked good the devil ain't going to ever send you no second strain nothing then what sounds good whoo it's just the way it appeals to my just sounds so good it sounds so good everything sound good in sound then what tastes so good like all the stuff i like that's what makes it so hard to live healthy cause it seems like all the stuff that's unhealthy taste the best and then it feels so good it's the way you make me feel see this is how the enemy got out of a need nothing wrong with desires can i be real for a second i want to be re i want to be as real as i can be this may not be what you grew up hearing but i want to tell you the truth you think something's wrong with your nature it's not wrong with your nature it's just your discipline you're not that strong like i just don't understand you know one young man came to me some years ago said bishop can you just help me i just can't stop looking at women i just said i just i just can't stop this is women can you pray the lord take it away man if i pray that the lord takes that away from you when you get married you're going to ask me to ask the lord to put it back your human nature so don't think nothing's wrong with your natural desire it's when your looks turn to lust it's where discipline begins to show up how disciplined are you you can go look all day at the cupcakes and the wonder oh those are so beautiful and nicely made and oh god and i've been working out and all these it's just when you like uh give me the one with the strawberries on top at least i got fruit too see let me break it down to you you see people are god listen very carefully please hear this your flesh is a mess and paul says in first corinthians 15 31 i die daily because paul woke up every day saying i gotta kill my flesh i ain't gonna lie because my flesh man get out of control i got to die i have to constantly tell my flesh you will not run my life i must be spirit-led because if i let my flesh leave me i'm gonna end up in some crazy places you know why because it's always fun at the front but fatal at the finish notice what james says that the wages of sin brings forth death that it brings forth death when it is fulfilled god told adam and eve the very day you eat of this is the day you will surely die you will surely die they didn't die right away it is death on the installment plan the enemy has a way of softening the consequences to make it so fun that you feel like well nothing happened so let's do it again nothing happened but you don't realize it is a systematic death it is a slow death only installment plan just one smoke here one smoke just one smoking hurt one one hit angle hurt no an angle just one hit one smoke one puff one date one abusive relationship one and everything every addiction starts with the one every abusive relationship started out fun it didn't start out person just didn't start out hitting you over here you had more sense than that it started out fun it started out everything starts out fun but it ends up in depth in your marriage death in your relationship with your kids death in your career death in your morale death in your financial future death in your reputation and paul says there is no temptation that comes our way that is not common to man because temptation affects everybody you can look down your pew right now and all the people that were just saying glory hallelujah and i promise you everybody up in here struggling with something temptation is not a respecter of persons if jesus was tempted in matthew 4 and he was then what makes you think you're going not got to be tempted as well but there are some things you need to understand let me break it down the more god does for you the more the enemy wants to take it from you the devil is not going to sit back and let god do all these amazing things in your life open up these amazing doors and not try to tempt you with something make no mistake about it the blessing on your life is so amazing the magnitude of the assignment in your life is so great it got the enemy's attention the enemy knows apart from christ you are nothing more than enslaved to sin so the enemy has a threefold objective he wants to discredit god's assignment on your life he literally wants to get you caught up with temptation to say see ain't nothing to you your assignment don't mean nothing you might as well go drop out of school go on quick stop playing with god cause it ain't real then he wants to bring disgrace to the kingdom and your family he wants to bring half you fall from grace so you can live in disgrace shame and then he wants to disconnect others from their relationship with god by using your failure ain't nothing with them christians they all hypocrites look at that see you somebody you love god you trust god look at your life you see understand something the bible says we gotta be careful we have to watch in first peter five and eight be sober and villager because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour you got to stay woke lions stalk lions don't just attack they don't just walk up on something lions will sit there a long time and study looking for the weakest one and you have no idea you think you think you know all your stalkers you really don't the devil got some stuff that's just waiting to catch you slipping because i need to understand something you got to stay woke so you don't become intoxicated with your flesh and don't live in the spirit every day because more highs more eyes more levels more experienced devils you want god lord do something big in my life do something great god like okay cool but i understand something you won't be dealing with no rookie devils these are veteran demons that's why you have to guard your access points access points are areas in your life where you're weak these are the areas that have become portals where the enemy can use to entice us they can be places we go things we read internet sites we serve social media we crave and the enemy knows our access points and he will look for the weakness to attack us samson's access point was he like strange women for somebody else it's your need for attention you got to guard yourself because in many instances you got to close these access points because you can give the enemy a foothold into your life i've said it often you got to be careful you got to watch this this word heart heart is an acronym halt h-a-l-t whenever you're hungry whenever you are angry whenever you are lonely and whenever you are tired it's often the access point of the enemy y'all know and some of y'all could put these together whenever i'm hungry and angry i'm hangry ephesians 4 26-27 be angry but do not sin do not let the sun go down in your wrath nor give what place to the devil so here is the here is the real practical application watch this this is going to bless you trust god in every encounter trust god in every encounter you got to understand this the next thing you got to do when you deal with temptation is you got to trust god we have to remember the holy spirit is the gatekeeper of the affairs of our lives so we often minimize the holy spirit to shouting and dancing oh the spirit was there oh the holy ghost was there you think that's how the holy ghost is the holy ghost is a teacher a guy he governs your life that's why you see people it's not so much how high you shout or jump when you shout that's how straight you walk when you come down proverbs 3 5 and 6 says trust in the lord with all of your heart lean not to your own understanding here it is in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path please understand this if you're going to trust god you got to get to a place where you not only just deny your ungodly desires but you have to desire your godly desires greater than you desire your ungodly desires got to want god more than you wanted it because if one god becomes boring to you and oh it's just ain't enough and then that becomes greater than you back at idolatry see understand i'm getting ready to tell you something i promise you if you listen to this it's going to change your life forever trust god on what he tells you the first time god is always speaking to us but it's our flesh that attempts to rationalize dysfunction we often miss what god is saying because we are blinded by our own desires and our own ambition you know folks that are so ambitious in their mind no matter what god is saying but but but but but i hear this and i hear this let me tell you something you'll end up in a bad situation you can't live your life on what should have could have would have happened god is faithful and god will sound the alarm in your spirit but you have to heed it god will always sound the alarm you may be asking well how does god do that let me tell you watch this watch how many witnesses we have in here here are ways in which god will warn you one a sermon that reads your mail you just be in church but like man how did man know what's going on in my life like i ain't talking to this person what's going on that's the holy spirit that's god using this word to read your mail because god knew exactly what you were struggling with exactly have you ever been in that place somebody can be a witness that you heard of someone like wow what like nobody else was in here but me here's another one he will trouble your spirit so you can't find peace i don't understand why i just don't feel right about taking this job or i don't feel right about this relationship or i don't feel right my spirit ain't trouble i can't sleep i got bubble guts i don't know what's going on because god is troubling your spirit about it because the blessing of the lord has no sorrow it makes rich but adds no sorrow here's a third one he will complicate the situation to make it more difficult to get to it you got it all planned out you got the time you're supposed to hook up then the car won't start some emergency came up i'm sorry i can't get to it cause god keeps complicating the situation because god loves you so much he know he's trying to save you from yourself you want to be giving god glory for the time the car didn't start you ought to be giving god glory for the time he complicated the situation or the time your credit card was denied and he will put an uneasiness in your spirit when you are around it how many times have you walked into a room i've been around somebody and said just something don't feel right and then in your mind you try to logically process it like well maybe i'm tripping maybe i'm not no no you ain't tripping believe what god telling you the first time that uneasiness you feel sometimes you can just look at your parents when they meet people you bring to them they be like because see you so caught up you just your parents are like some man right hey you don't like nobody i bring you better listen something mean right and somebody knows when you look back over your life you gotta testify there were times that god was trying to tell you but you just kept on doing what you're doing and you know you wish you had heard god the first time because you wouldn't have the wounds and the scars you wouldn't be bitter and broken god ain't maybe trying to tell you something god is screaming at you you know why because he knows you better than you know yourself listen to me he knows you better than you know yourself he'll never let you be tempted above what you are able to bear he knows your strengths he knows your weaknesses he knows your proclivities and so therefore you got to trust god you can't go through like cavalier like i got this how is that working for you how how many times have you quit the thing and then got it back up after all the bumps and bruises and scars and the trauma you realize man i need to start being more accountable to god because i clearly don't have this see you got to understand something think about from a parental perspective god is father we as his children think about your parents or if you are a parent that's something parents know about their children they know this some things my child can't help me with you can be working on somebody project around the house and your child come and say can i help you're going to hurt yourself this elder stuff your child who want to help the parent knows a child can't help with this there's some things god's doing in your life you're trying to help god you want to be on the god squad god like stay out of this you pray for me to bring you a husband or wife to get off all them sites go somewhere and sit down just like i won't it's like walking around so thirsty go somewhere and sit down number two parent knows some things my child can't have because it might hurt them some things you just can't can i have some oh i want one that ain't for you oh i want one you're a child you ask for something you don't know how this could eventually hurt you and there's some things my child can't handle they're not mature enough you can sit in my lap and you can pretend like you're driving but i'm the elder and i'm not gonna let the wheel go cause you're a child you want god to give you more control god like you can't handle what you're asking for right now i wanna i don't wanna talk to somebody watching me right now and i want those of you who in this space to hear something this may not be for you and you're going to act like i'm not talking to you so just go on and give it to your cousin because i know when i bring this up you go act like i'm not talking to you so let's just get this message to your cousin and to your friend to your roommate okay i want to help you understand how the enemy gets you with soul ties and how to break them soul ties see here's how it looks when you're dealing with soul ties all these dots represent all the people that were interacting in your life there's all the different relationships and people came and went you know some of y'all you got a few more dots some of you have a few lists but i just tried to get an average but then there's always that one that stands out that was the thing that got me intellectually attracted to it and it became physical now here's the issue with this one it was supposed to be just a friend but i was so drawn intellectually to the person it became physical and now it's a soul tie but i can easily walk away from this because i'm remorseful i look at this like man i hate that happen lord we should have never done that it was just supposed to be a great intellectual banter and exchange but but i can walk away from that because that soul tie isn't this hard to break then there's this one over here come here come over here come over here come on this one over here here this one is the emotional spiritual and physical now this one is this person was emotionally connected to me and spiritually connected we read scriptures and they this thing was powerful because we had chemistry the only problem with our chemistry ended up as biology and it became physical the problem with this one this old time is that now i hate this situation i despise this because you were supposed to know better and i was supposed to know better we could have been emotionally and physically attracted but we were too spiritual how did we end up like this how do we end up having bible study and praying together and still ending up caught up together so every time i see you it's easy to break this soul tie because i resent that season but then here's my real problem i'm going to mess somebody who's emotionally connected to me intellectually connected to me spiritually connect to me and physically this right here is hard to breathe because i can't figure out if they check all the boxes while we ain't together so i'm measuring every relationship i got on this one i'm upset with god i almost became a stalker because i can't figure out if all these things i pray for are lined up why are we not together it's a soul time and then god showed me something on how to break that i know i'm not talking about you don't like i'm talking about dream how much your cousin you know um my wife has a amazon addiction y'all pray for it i'm just kidding we both do we got amazon you know some of y'all got amazon addiction too boxes be coming to the house and boxes be coming to the house and where these boxes coming from and it'd be so many boxes you don't be knowing like what's that so one day i'm the box opener that's how we do this one day i'm opening up a box i'm opening up i'm like oh my gosh all that stuff oh there's some good stuff oh my god i'm like and she comes and says what's that like some stuff you ordered i didn't order that i started thinking well did i order it and i opened this box up now i had to close it back up and i realized with all this good stuff in it it was dropped off at the wrong address you can get something that can check all the boxes [Applause] and try to convince yourself it belonged to you but i'm gonna need you to check the address because just because it was good don't mean it was delivered i'm not talking to anybody up in here today i don't even try to ask god to make it yours it ain't addressed to you so as i close listen to me thank god for your exits whatever temptation god gives you a way out the bible says no weapon formed against you shall prosper doesn't mean the weapon won't be formed it just means it won't prosper you gotta wanna come out you gotta wanna come out you gotta get to a place the reason why god told me to minister this word because there are some people that are fed up who are sick and tired of being sick and tired of the struggle whatever your struggle is i don't care if it's overeating i don't care if it's being lazy and trifling bad relationships whatever the temptation is whatever it is you're tired of it you're fed up you're trying to make a life change and the issue is you've got to want to come out when jesus shows about the grave of lazarus he does not go into the tomb because he doesn't do tomb work he just stands inside the tomb and says lazarus come forth lazarus gotta want to come out god gave you a word to get you out your situation but you got to want to come out we can give you all the word we can but you got to want yourself to come out how bad do you want to come out and when you come out i'ma need you to tell your real testimony your real testimony about how you got caught up let me tell you a story in australia in the bush country there's a little plant called the sundew it has a slender stem and tiny round leaves fringe with hairs and glistening with bright drops of liquid as delicate as fine do whoa to the insect that dares to dance on it because although it's attractive cluster of red white and pink blossoms are harmless the leaves are deadly the shiny moisture on each leaf is sticky and will imprison any bud that touches it and as an insect struggles to free itself the vibration causes the leaves to close tightly around it and the innocent looking plant that feeds then begins to feed on its victim some of you were lured too by some fine do fine dude fine woman fine situation what you thought was the right job what you thought was the right circumstance and you dare dance on it and it was about to close in on you but you're watching me today because you got out and you ought to give god glory that you got out or what it could have taken you out statistics says you shouldn't have been here people look over your life and think you never should have made it but you ought to give god glory that god gave you an exit and you taking your exit today the bible says we overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony tell us your real testimony don't just tell us he's the bridge of a troubled water and a shelter in the time of storm tell us your real testimony tell us what you were in so they could appreciate what you got out of your end is your truth your out is your testimony if you were in fornication if you were in drug addiction if you were in bad habits if you were in this but look at how god brought you out if god brought you out you should give god glory [Music] and so one day one day dr turner one day i was uh i'm getting ready to drink some water and the water day out there hopeless and thinking that i had nothing else to give because i'd been used up and i was dingy and dirty somebody came along and picked me up clean me up filled me up set me up so i could pour into you today i said well water bottle how'd that happen and the water bottle said cause i'm a recyclable product that when everybody else gave up on me god saw something in me you ought to give god glory that god recycle you whatever statistic and everybody and everything wrote you off because of what you were caught up in god gave you another chance so today it doesn't matter what temptation the sin is not being tempted the sin is having enough sense to realize what it is when you see it and say i'm going to do what god wants me to do please be seated for just a moment on every head about every eye clothes while you're watching around the world the power of god is here to minister to you i want you to think about what that word spoke to you but i want you to think about that area of struggle how you attempted sometimes to stay in the bed a little longer how you tempted to not take care of yourself physically how you tempted sometimes to eat stuff you know you shouldn't go places you know you shouldn't do stuff recklessly today we come to break that because if nobody else sees the best in you god does and everybody else writes you off whoo he sees the best in you and so listen to me if you're here today the spirit of the lord is speaking i want you to hear this hear god the first time he speaks to you you need a relationship with jesus christ you need to reconnect
