it cocked 45 here you're looking at a shield 1.0 and a 2.0 let's just shoot the 2.0 how's that smoke some pot oh look at that bad hit see if it'll see if it's truly ambidextrous I hadn't tried that it just sort of hit me to do that oh yeah the 2.0 shield we've requested this from Bud's gun shop comm we appreciate them sending it along and helping us check them out somebody's ringing back there at me it was a it was a delayed echo maybe yeah the 2.0 shield we're gonna look at it and talk about how it's different from but you know what first I miss you nose magazine it just hit me that's not enough shooting yeah that's the only problem with these uh I think it's a mag go bein with the single stack nine millimeters you'll get quite as much fun at a time err if now I feel better that was a little bit better I don't you know six or seven shots it's not much of it and don't forget now go to the description join the NRA at a discount okay if you're not a member join them first then others that's your leisure as much as you can afford needed now more than ever okay so let's talk about the difference and we'll shoot them a little bit there's not a dramatic difference but is new this is one of the most popular pistols I guess in the country if not the planet but definitely in this country and we probably buy more pistols in this country than any other country so just we have the Second Amendment at least for now right we plan to keep it but it is extremely popular I don't know what the numbers are on these things they've sold but even though there's not a lot of difference I thought we need to get one and try it out and show it and see what we think so see what I think John thinks and see what you all think I have one I mean this is a pistol I own you know I'm really partial to Glocks but I actually own one of these I bought it and it was a used one you know I just really like it every time I shoot the thing I think wow I need to figure out a way to carry that and you know it because as I've discussed before like the lc9s I like that one too fact is in my pocket I have a little harder time getting this one in my pocket holster but it will work it's just kind of a border line if I get it to my belt in a belt holster then I'm more inclined to get something a little bigger you know Glock 19 26 or something but I just really like it and and this one has Talent Group slide it feels better it has better just a better Lois for me it just needs a little more meat I think for a lot of people probably but then again for a lot of people with average hands and small hands the thinness of the grip on these shields probably is just a godsend because so many grips these days on pistols are just kind of fat right for the average hand or small hands and this one you cannot complain about that it feels really thin if you word leaf and to me and I'm used to handling small pistols and things but it's just as so so thin but that is one of the differences to you so let's just point out the main differences right here very quickly all right now I've got the talent grips you can't see if you all know what the shield grip looks like what they did with the 2.0 is they gave it more of the the textured grip that you're seeing on the the compact 2.0 and the full-size em and peace you know the 2.0 s they're doing a much better job with that it's more aggressive I don't know that that's as aggressive as was on the compact 2.0 MFP we looked at recently but it's it's it's pretty nice okay and it's all the way around the entire back and everything so it's a you know it's just a nice improvement on the grip alright now again because it's small it doesn't help me lock is if I were going to go to the 2.0 I'd have to cover it up with grips or something else to make it just a little bit okay and then they've also added the serrations up here these little leader beasts aerations at the front for whatever that's worth not a lot but guess it's a why not and I think the finish is a little bit more of a flat black on the slide then on the earlier ones it's hard to tell mine is an old one but I think it's not quite as slick slick sort of say slippery slick this same thing so that's that's a difference and uh you know by and large is not a lot of other differences maybe the most important difference is that the triggers improved as with I guess all of the 2.0 s you know the mfp line is a great line of pistols but they've kind of created a cottage industry and improving triggers right I think maybe they have finally gotten triggers that everybody's not going to run out and maybe replace them the lot will but this trigger has a nice break okay it it does and it's smooth it also has a nice reset the reset is I guess the same place but there it is just a little click you don't have quite as much grit and all no grit really underneath at you got a clean break it's a nice spring he pull back to the break I like the trigger you know that's the kind of trigger lock i've talked about it's well my complaints about most Glocks now some of them have that several of mine do where you've got your take-up then there's a wall and i feel it right there break nice crisp break that's probably one of the reasons I really like the shield the trigger is wonderful and it's even better you know in this and then again the reset is it's just a listen for it so nice little click and cane is right there now this one this is an older one it's got a pretty nice trigger just got a little more grit that's a national trigger and let's look at the reset hey a little more clicking there even when you release it to begin with it's like it clicks loose and then you know two or three clicks and this is a little busier now I don't know that matters that in all it still it works fine and I like the trigger and I really don't even notice the reset it's a position of the reset that's more important to me the sound of it is pretty irrelevant to me I don't care whether the reset makes a sound or doesn't I'd really prefer to be kind of quiet tell you the truth it's not anybody know I'm shooting you know on that second shot or I'm about to release a trigger and shoot again so I want to be stealthy now so I don't really care what it sounds like so the trigger is is I don't I guess you could say it's it's improved smooth down a little bit and you don't have the grit and it's just a nice clean break supposed to be I think full well the Ford half pounds I may have forgotten because it's just just right really nice trigger okay so you'd want to try that anyway if you're gonna buy one all right so let's shoot the thing a little more alright these new mags and new new good pretty tight there I've got a couple that comes with a seven rounder and an eight rounder this is the eight router that comes with it and you got the sleeve on there and I've got another egg around or I already had with my other firearm put a couple on this target let's not wake up the bird though it was pretty good smoke a little more pot and we're out of ammo but I have eight more round so you put that one in you get the swing of effect so you get a longer grip all right works there's another 2-liter up there hanging out yeah these are good little shooters and I'm not really telling you anything if you keep up with the firearms market and the farms that are out there there's just a lot of people that like these let's go there and try the red plate the one form sheet some steel the square one not even that time and then all right let's try the gone let's try the cowboy yeah yeah if this were the only pistol I had I could live with it they they're just good ones I load a couple more oh I know what I forgot almost you almost let me try some hollow points in it it is a carry pistol I've already tried some and they work but you know these are some HS cheese that I have and we'll see if it feeds hollow points and they always have there's not a lot of mysteries about these firearms they're a bit around long enough now since we have hollow points let's take out those Desperados get those guys and try the gone yeah since there's a hollow point I thought it might go through it now let's do one other thing let's shoot it's just she fast if we can't alright so I load one more mag yeah just I'm gonna make you aware if you're not that it's out there it does seem to be a slight improvement probably not if you're happy with one you have it's probably not a enough reason to go trade in and sell and get the new one necessarily if you're happy with your trigger and all that I mean I can only speak for myself I uh as that for brilliant I can only speak for myself well some people try speak for everybody huh i I wouldn't trade I have no plans to trade up really I I like this one the triggers a little heavier but I like heavier triggers and you know now this has a safety I don't use the safety on it but it doesn't hurt anything I don't use it I don't need these little serrations I hear I wouldn't use them but it doesn't have a nice trigger and nice reset and everything so it's just that the the original I called it a a 1.0 I don't think it's such a designation but there's this really not much wrong with it you know it's just a just a great guy she's great and all that so what mag it's tight all right let's uh what should we shoot let's just let spelt that old op sign oh I got my holster on almost forgot so let's just pretend I'm minding my own business and he'll stop sign poses a threat and all of a sudden and I've got to stop talking it midcity mid-sentence and take care of it okay so it's just a really nice little defensive pistol that's not all that heavy and it's thinner and that's on the thin side negatives are of course it's a single stack and just hold seven rounds or aid what 7+1 yeah nothing to sneeze at just a great little gun I I am so glad Smith and Wesson has come out has come out with some really nice semi-automatic pistols because I just didn't like the ones that I've discussed before they came out with back in the 70s 80s 90s you know but this M&P series just continues to be improved and they're just really really nice pistols i think this one is the premier single stack 9 on the market I think it even surpasses I shouldn't say that the Glock 43 I don't know one of those two probably is the number one in terms of sales you know I don't know numbers out there but this has got to be either leading or very close to it's probably the leading be my desk to actually it's been a lie gets longer then the 43 for one thing but the 2.0 is pretty nice improvement in the grip texture front serrations maybe a little different finish there trigger improvement and still all the same features that you get with with the shield yeah nice sights and handy little pistol life is good alright welcome to the end of the video it's nice to have you here while you're here I want to remind you of our friends
