Moving Cows in a Mountain Thunderstorm!

good morning folks welcome back hope you're all doing well we got our oats field all bailed up one of our oats Fields probably had over 200 bales here this is a little piece that we rent probably 70 60 to 70 Acres so pretty happy with that a couple hundred Bales that'll be really nice I'm gonna take the rake we're gonna go over to another little Grassfield quick and then after that grass field we've got our second cutting Alfalfa on the ground drop cut that all up so it's on the ground just drying out um I don't know when we'll get to bailing that up as you can see there's some cloud cover they're talking we're supposed to get four inches of rain here in the next couple of days so I don't know hey we've got on the ground we'll probably get rained on which means we won't get it bailed up right away but that's just the risk you play with Hayne so it'll be okay but yeah I'm gonna get to work here four inches of rain in August for us that'd be very abnormal be pretty weird but we'll see what happens we'll see if it comes to fruition foreign field it's only about 10 acres my dad's almost done bailing we gotta run up to the hills to one of our grazing permits probably go grab the horses and head up there right away fly spray foreign [Applause] okay just in a couple spots okay okay let's go over the hill through the gate yep just don't leave them there all right okay sounds somebody didn't open it but it should be shy that's right right at the beginning okay I could see him just around the corner okay sounds good okay all right see you later Jack good luck so we're gonna move some cows from one pasture to the next today they're in this pasture they just need to go into the next one to the north so my mom and I are gonna go over here into some well we don't know what's over there we we know the country but we don't know if there's cows over there or not and then we saw some cows driving up along the road The Jock is gonna go get and he's gonna kind of go that way we're gonna go that way and we'll meet push them through a gate and that's the pasture that they'll stay in for about a month looks like it could be a little rainy so we got my slicker if we need it how are you Trump ready for a little exercise I found a couple cows yeah all right just the start there's about 200 pair in here we're looking for we've got two me to get that I'm just gonna bring him along the power line over that far Hill down in the bottom and there is probably a bunch by the water tank to go to the road to the left up in here we'll come back and meet you yeah you could and then come around that draw that I'll be in because you'll be in the drawer on the other side of that big hill yep yep that'll work thanks oh Saga off in this road up in here and then I'm gonna go back around here and end up over here yeah and I'll I'll be over here in this okay so I go here okay meet me up here and we can just bring it but I'll go clear to this corner right with this one you probably don't have to but should I take this road up in here though for a ways down here that goes to the left yeah you can go low okay all right okay sounds good thanks looks like there's actually a few more than two foreign [Applause] you get to come too cow yeah I saw you trying to be sneaky this is getting better by the minute a good start finding some cows come on girls let's see one two three four five six seven eight nine ten from 12 13 14. probably 20 pair or so 20 25 pair gonna pick up a few more [Music] but they're going the wrong direction foreign [Music] come on girls come on girls come on girls hey so you can eat later Big Calf [Music] okay [Music] starting to rain pretty good having some lightning strikes some big boom and Thunder makes you get pretty excited about life so I'm gonna bring these cows up over this hill along the power line into the next draw and I'll take that next draw there's a water tank in that draw so I think there's going to be some more cows up there and that draws just it's in the same draw kind of as the gate that we need to push them through so it's still a couple miles up that draw but I'll get them in there and bring them all the way up all the way up to the fence wait Trump and I don't get struck by lightning I don't know maybe we'll turn into a some sort of superhero [Music] come on girls it's not that bad [Music] come on girls you're kind of going the wrong way come on [Applause] hey are you wet so fun I don't know if you can tell on camera but it's raining pretty good now kind of over it so is Trump come on buddy if you don't have an option [Music] look at that oh it's hailing hey come on [Music] hey come on [Music] what's up [Applause] [Music] come on girls got lots of water running down off the Hills come on she's flattened up a little bit sorry I see my camera's a little smudged I don't have anything dry to wipe it so I apologize sticker works for about 10 minutes probably going around an hour and a half [Applause] so we're pretty well wet riding my big wet dog but it's kind of fun you know looks like the storm is moving on it's kind of a doozy I don't know how much rain it dropped but I'd guess an inch inch and a half draining pretty hard for a while almost lost the cows a few times they wanted to take off into the trees get as far away from us as possible but we stuck with them and still got them [Music] come on girl's gonna pick up another group on our way kind of going on that little road over there there's a bunch in these trees so the numbers are adding off little by little come on girls [Music] my mom and I probably found 100 120 some of them already went up through the gate once we get these last ones through I think we'll have pretty close to them to all of them from what my dad jock found as well so should have about 200. [Music] this is [Music] where we'll leave them kind of a wet day Jack [Music] ET were your cows ornery too yeah under a pain in the butt [Music] all the way down [Music] brought them all the way back and then instead of coming this way they went back went back way back to the other gate where they came from yeah oh yeah yeah that's frustrating and then and then the whole time they want to just hang out under the trees oh yeah I didn't care but I mean the cows wanted to hang out under the trees he had like five old cows that were just split off in every single Direction Take Off full mark [Music] went down yeah dude [Music] well that wouldn't bother me if they'd just sit there and wait but they'd go under the trees and then just go another half mile Let's Stay Together at least yeah they just go like this yeah that was really annoying pressure thing or something yeah maybe there's hail coming or something too there's a lot of my things like that was loud I saw a couple of lightning strikes and I counted like one and a half yeah some of them were really close big and loud and nasty yeah yeah I think so I think it's pretty close [Music] hey buddy how are you did it rain here looks like it stay down now good boy good boy pretty soon you'll be able to come with us hey hey have you been crabby for Mom today do you want my wet clothes I'm sure yeah don't wanna be what do I do with them all right okay sounds good it's pretty wet and it doesn't rain much here a little bit a little bit not a lot of it [Music]
