[Music] a very good evening to you and praise the lord thank you for joining us today for the bible study my name is pastor t mwangi and i want to encourage you to invite as many people as possible we are still in the book of exodus and today we'll be looking on exodus chapter number four so wherever you are press the share button invite people this is bible study page upon page precept upon the precept lying upon line building upon the scriptures let's begin with the word of prayer father in the name of jesus we thank you we honor you we bless you and we glorify you thank you lord because we have no other god but fear and thank you lord because the scriptures not only are they words that talk about you but this is the reality of who you are there is power even in reading what we are reading and tonight lord as we engage with the scripture when we get the theology may we get the application and above all let these words settle even in our own hearts uh with a lot of heaviness lord i declare let the hearing here be open and let the same eye also be open so that we'll be able to go through this discourse with clarity and it is in jesus name that we do pray and believe so today we are looking at genesis chapter number four i'm going to read the whole of that chapter and then after that we will go through line up online the bible says i'm reading from the nkjv version then moses answered and said but suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice suppose they say the lord has not appeared to you so the lord said to him what is that in your hand he said a road and he said cast it on the ground so he cast it on the ground and it became a serpent and moses fled from it then the lord said to moses reach out your hand and and and cut it reach out your hand uh take it the lord said to him to moses reach out your hand and take it by the tail and we reached out his hand and caught it and it became a road in his hand that they may believe that the lord god of their father the god of abraham the god of isaac and the god of jacob has appeared to you furthermore the law said to him now put your hand in your bosom and he put his hand in his bosom and when he took it out behold his hand was leprous like snow and and and behold it was rest ah okay like snow and he said put your hand in your bosom again so he put his hand in his bosom again and drew it out of his boson and behold it was restored like of his other flesh then it will be if they do not believe you nor heed the message of the far side they may believe the message of the latter side and it shall be if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice that you shall take water from the river and pour it on the dry land the water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land then moses said to the lord o my lord i am not eloquent neither before nor sins you have spoken to your servant but i am slow of speech and slow of tongue so the lord said to him who has made man mouth or who makes the mute the death the seeing or the blind have not i the lord now therefore go and i will be with you your mouth and teach you what you shall see but he said oh my lord please send uh sent by the hand of whomever else you may send so the young of the lord was kindled against moses and he said is not out on the level to brother i know that he can speak well and look he's also coming out to meet you when he sees you he will be glad in his heart now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth and i will be with your mouth and with and with his mouth and i will teach you what you shall do so he shall be your spokesman to the people and he himself shall be as a mouth for you and you shall be to him as god and you shall take this road in your hand with which you shall do the science so moses went and returned to jethro his father-in-law and said to him please let me go and return to my brethrens who are in egypt and see whether they are still alive and jethro said to moses go in peace now the lord said to moses in midian go return to egypt for all the men who sought your life are dead then moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey and he returned to the land of egypt and moses took the word of god in his hand and the lord said to moses when you go back to egypt see that you do all those wonders before pharaoh which i have put in your hand but i will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go then you shall say to pharaoh that says the lord israel is my son my first born so i said to you let my son go that he may serve me but if you refuse to let him go indeed i will kill your son your firstborn and it came to pass on the way at the encampment that the lord met him and so to kill him then the borah zepora took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at moses feet and said surely you are a husband of blood to me so he let him go then she said you are a husband of blood because of the circumcision and the lord said to aaron go into the wilderness to meet moses so he went and met him on the mountain of god and kissed him so moses told aaron all the words of the lord who had sent him and all the signs which he had commanded him then moses and aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of israel and aaron spoke all the words which the lord has spoken to moses then he did the signs in the side of the people so the people believed and when they had the lord had visited the children of israel that he had looked on their affliction then they bowed their head and worshiped so this is moses we see it in two in two parts number one it is the call and the commissioning and also the going now the implementation of the call so moses is still arguing with god and the lord tells him you need to go and deliver your people and deliver my people and moses has this question suppose they don't believe me or listen to my voice suppose they say the lord has not appeared to you so the law said to him what is it that is in your hand and this is a very common question to everybody that god begins to commission because commissioning is not always to a ground that you're familiar with many times when god calls people and is commissioning them he sends you to a place possibly that you didn't have an experience and for me this scripture speaks a lot especially to people that have a genuine call of god god does not send you to places where you have a civil in fact marriage and ministry is almost the same because they say it is only in marriage where you are given a certificate and then you begin learning in marriage and the same thing in also ministry the lord anoints you and then the lord appoints you and then now you begin to find your way and the uniqueness of the anointing that is upon your hand and your life and i understand where moses was coming from he understood the power system and the protocol of egypt and the other lord is sending him one man army to go and confront the authorities and to make a statement trying to relieve people that are considered as a power force of pharaoh trying to relieve them was not an easy assignment and so the lord said what is it that is in your hand and today possibly will look at this differently um and and and and he said i know you have had many preachings concerning this particular a road you know people say that god will always use what you have in your hand and out of that god will make use of it and begin to have it moses was a shepherd and a good shepherd has a staff and a road the bible says that the lord is my shepherd and he leaded me in in pastor's green his staff uh his staff you know his staff and his road when you look at psalms 23 we begin to see the dealings of the road and the staff maybe i can just look at it so that at least it is clearer um it is um says he makes me lie down in greener pastures he restores my soul he leads me in path of righteousness if i walk through the valley and the darkness um i will not fear you are rod and your staff they comfort me so we see that every good shepherd had a staff and a road now a staff was for direction but a road was for what we call um attacks was for you know anything that came to attack the flock was not shown the staff the staff was formed you know dealing with any enemy or anything that comes to attack the flock so we begin to see that this was the road of moses but also once in a while as the staff was for direction once in a while the lord will use the road for display so we'll begin to see the prophecy here that this is a leader and the lord is giving him a tool he has a tool that is about to be translated and we'll see that this road will turn out to be the road of the lord not even the road of moses it has to be the road of the lord that the lord is now using that road that moses had for his own assignment so ideally and we see god of course coming and and you know the prophet comes to this woman has an issue with bills and asked the woman what do you have we see samson uh with a job a donkey and the lord partners with samson when it comes to that particular thing that he had in his hand but in this particular scripture what the lord did is that he gave him three signs and we must decode the signs and he said cast it on the ground so he cast it on the ground and it became a serpent and moses fled from it then the lord said to me says reach out your hand and take it by the tail and he reached out to his hand and cut it and became a rod in his hand and they may believe that the lord god of their father the god of abraham of isaac and the god of jacob has appeared to you father mother allah said to him now put your hand in your bosom and he put his hand in his bosom and when he took it down behold his arm was leprous like snow and he said put your hand in your bosom again so he put his hand in his bosom and it was restored flesh uh and and then he said then it will be if they do not believe you nor heed the message of the first sign that they may believe the message of the latter sign before we even read the letter sign so we begin to see that this was not just a dropping of a stick and we will see that these three signs were performed fast to the children of israel as we continue so the lord is sending them to the children to the people and he's saying go to pharaoh but go first of all to my people moses is negotiating lord what if these people you're sending me to what if they don't believe and the law says i'm going to give you three signs and these signs need to communicate so these were signs that carried a message and we must get the message of every sign so that every sign can also bring relevance so he was communicating prophetically so so these were not just signs that he was meant to perform to pharaoh fast their signs were first of all meant to be performed to the children of israel so that they can believe that indeed moses is a messenger from god and they can know that this guy comes from the father again we begin to get this there are times god will vindicate your ministry with supernatural activities so that the people he has sent you unto they can know that god has sent you the supernatural becomes as um a rubber stamp and a vindication that god has called you we will come to the signs i remember there's a place that i went and um the guy who received me looked at me and i could sense that he was seeing a young boy in fact i was in my jeans and my t-shirt the lord had given me an assignment and was there negotiating about the property and so as we were talking with this guy uh he looked at me and i could sense deception i could sense you know you know who are you uh so you want to tell me you're a pastor and and we we transacted came to business and agreed on a few matters but before the lord told me i'm going to vindicate you i'm going to show this man that you are my servant and something happened and his son was very sick in the icu and so i i think he richard place was desperate and he called me and said you know pastor but then my son is sick and you know just pray this has been happening and the lord told me this the hour of course is not the lord that brought the sickness so i went to the icu and i was there and i remember i arrived at around it was around 1 45 so we had to finish quickly because our two all of us needed to leave and we prayed for the sun and guess what the doctor came at exactly 2 15 and took the child out of a ceo and discharged the child the only thing that made them stay in hospital is because they didn't have sufficient money to to to clear the hospital and from that day um of course things changed the guy used to see me treat me and call me pastor and an event in their home nowadays i'm the one who is invited as the pastor so what am i trying to say sometimes god and most of the times god will use supernatural signs to communicate a message of vindication of saying this is my servant and this have called because when people see the power of god in a man they already know that that man is with god and that man is of god but again you don't build a ministry on the supernatural because these are just signs in fact the bible says that signs and wonders are for non-believers the supernatural is not necessarily to boost the faith is to bring attention so that people can hear the word it is the one that boosts faith so moses was given three signs the first sign was he drops the road it turns out to be a stick and this rod he runs away from it and the lord tells him get the tail of that rod and i mean of that serpent and as he held the tail of that serpent it turned back to the road now naturally when you go anytime you hold the tail of a poisonous snake from the tail because it it is a vertebrate animal and it has a backbone it cannot turn and bite you and so from the tail you are very safe and so that animal and also even those who hunt poisonous snakes they will tell you you either hold it by the neck or you hold it by the tail and it is incapacitated that was the first message and that was the first sign and the first sign was that i'm going to give you victory and i'm going to give you victory over your enemy now you need to understand when you watch the movie of moses you always realize that that cape that pharaoh used to wear had a snake on the on the top because that was part of the ruling forces and powers that ruled egypt it is an ancient snake it carries a lot of meanings it was believed to be it was believed to have healing power it was believed to have prophetic power it was uh believed to have power over the heavens so that particular snake that particular snake that was always on the crown of pharaoh that communicated a lot in terms of intelligence enthronement and authority so pharaoh was not just a man but he also looked like a dating but we can see the source of his power was that kakasnic and and that's why the first thing when they got to pharaoh's house they dealt with that uh that snake when you come to greek mythology it's called the scapillion you know it's the serpent uh uh a serpentine spirit it is heavily used even in african witchcraft because they're people who use serpent witchcraft whereby they will take that living serpent and that living serpent receives it becomes a host of demons and it is put in a in a pot and and that becomes a point of contact and that snake sometimes cannot die because it it is an embodiment of demons that work for this particular witch and and communities that use serpentine witchcraft it is so bad because a witch that enters that level has ability to kill i've i've i've seen people some people when you're praying for them to be delivered they begin to move like a snake that means the source of their witchcraft is serpentine some people in their stomachs you can even feel things moving because where the snake where their witchcraft has been placed they are things that have been placed in that pot as a point of contact and that's why sometimes uh you know people pick a thing they're things placed there and so when the snake moves around that particular fabric or garment there is a physical movement even in your own body of course the lord was telling him i'm giving you authority over that serpentine force that ruled egypt and under is under the authority of pharaoh so it was not just a sign it was a message so that's why when he picked it by the tale remember the question here was lord how will these people believe that you sent me he said drop that road it turned out to be a snake and he picked it from the tail that was the message there is that your enemies will not prevail over you that was the first message that sign communicated that your enemies will not prevail over you the ruling power of egypt will not prevail over you the second one was the leprosy the leprosy and and he puts his hand and gets it out and it's all covered white and he looks at himself and the second one is leprosy and and then he takes back his hand to his bosom and comes and the flesh is back and this is a language of um is a language of restoration and it is also a message of pattern of sin the lord cleansing his own people that is the language that he was he was passing over the people that not only will the lord come and and and rule and overrule the authorities of egypt but the lord is also willing to cleanse us as a community and that's why the concept of leprosy because letting the law we see leprosy was an unclean disease and it was only god who had power to heal leprosy because there was no medication for leprosy and so the lord was communicating in the second sign and in the message there that there is a cleansing that is coming upon the people and number three is this that sign that was performed and this was then moses said to the lord oh my lord and it shall be if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice that you shall take water from the river and point on the dry land the water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land so the that side under that message was the turning of water fresh water into blood that communicated judgment not communicated judgment not communicated judgment now you study well you discover that river nile was the source of life over egypt and for their water there to turn into blood it was judgment over the egyptian and judgment over their source of life so so god was passing a message that number one moses i'm going to give you victory the first message was not just for the people it was also for mercers that i am going to give you victory over your enemy number two the the concept of the leprosy is that i am going to cleanse my people and number three i am pouring judgment over the community of the egyptian uh because the river nile was the source of life and so i am going to pour judgment over these particular people so these three signs were not just signs they were also messages that god send moses with so that he can go and remember this message was not too far real fast it was to the children of israel so they begins to tell me when moses showed up when he showed when he gathered the elders he dropped the stick it became a snake he picked it they were like okay then he put his hand left proceed then he put his arm back then they were like okay then he poured water and he said the lord has sent me so you guys need to know the lord is visiting us in town now after all these signs moses said to the lord o my lord i am not eloquent neither before nor sins you have spoken to your servant but i am slow of speech and slow of tongue for me this one opens up a very important paradigm and this is for the people that the lord calls but deep down they feel lord you you you you should have called someone else but not me and we all come to this particular space in life whereby we feel god there's someone else whom you have have called there are people who are more qualified i'm looking for scripture here in the book of acts just to prove that moses was not a stammerer but there is something this was just an excuse uh in the book of acts 7 22 the bible says moses was learned in all the wisdom of the egyptian and was mighty in words and deeds that is acts 7 22. moses was learned in all the literature of the egyptians and he was mighty in words and deeds now so he comes to the lord and tells him lord um oh my lord i'm not eloquent neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant but i am slow of speech and slow of time there are three arguments that have been proposed in this argument number one he was out of egypt and he was he had lived with jethro for 70 i mean for 40 years the first complaint could have been lord i lost i lost the language i no longer speak the egyptian language i lost that speech i lost that eloquence you are sending me to pharaoh but i lost that eloquence so it was not in in matters stammering again we have to correct i know we have heard the common preaching moses he was a stammerer like any moon walling to mia no he was not as tamara he gave this as an excuse it was an excuse for him not to do what the lord was telling him to do secondly there is the argument of he had stayed for so many years out of the economy of egypt and possibly he had lost their understanding of the dialect the common dialect this was a man that stayed in the wilderness looking after his father-in-law jethro ship the so it was easy i've seen a few people go to america and after 5-10 years they cannot even speak in their mother tongue fluently they've lost their eloquence they went when they talk so that that was the argument but when i look at the at the argument from the beginning chapter i'm just seeing a man giving excuses i'm just seeing a man that god wants to partner with but he's giving excuses god never got mad when he told him will your people believe he didn't get mad he just gave him signs to go and communicate and he kept on reminding him this is not just about you tell them the lord of abraham isaac and jacob that god the covenant keeping god that god is the one who's about to visit them so he raises this excuse and how many of us god has called you genuinely you know you have the dealings of god but excuses dominate excuses dominate you know you know that you know you know even where you are whatever you are doing you know you know one day you will end up on the pulpit you know that you know even what you're doing is survival this is not the real calling but you keep on hibernating and hijacking and you have excuses you have reasons and excuses you you in fact convince yourself but you know deep down you can't convince god so they don't say to him who has made man's mouth or who makes the mute the death the seeing or the blind have not i the lord now they are forgo i will be with your mouth not even with you and teach you what you shall say oh some of us need the lord to be with our mouth because the things we say is not of him but he said oh my lord please send by the hand of whoever else you may send and the lord got mad at him and the lord decided now to appoint aaron so the hang of the lord was kingdom against moses and he said he's not out on the level your brother i know that he can speak well and luke is also coming out to meet you it was not the will of god that aaron will be part of this mission it was the will of god that moses would be the one in this mission we see aaron was weak aron was weak the second thing we begin to see aaron is introduced in the scene but arun did not have the burning bush encounter so aaron comes to meet moses not from the not in the burning bush the burning bush encounter is already over the signs moses are seen already over so aaron meets moses when he's prepared he's called he has then counters he meets him at that particular point and that's what we begin to see he became a good orchestrator of the of the riot and the kills in the wilderness when he exalted the golden calf and even the sons of aaron failed because they burned strange incense so at the end of the day we begin to see god knew who moses was temperament personality and god wanted to partner with him but now he has to introduce aaron in the picture and in this divine assignment and he says i know that he can speak well and look he's also coming out to meet you when he sees you he will be glad in his heart now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth and that will be with your mouth and with his mouth and i will teach you what you shall do so he shall be your spokesman to the people and he himself shall be as a mouth for you and you shall be to him as god and you shall take this road in your hand with which you shall do the signs now the lord said i'm going to deliver my children and i've had their cry i've had their groaning and i'm going to deliver them he comes meets moses and he we said according to the law of realms god cannot interfere with the matters of this realm unless there is a man to partner with moses is the man that he finds moses encounters him and moses is here gives and excuses as tamara moses says lord i believe i i think i'm not good enough there's someone else you can use even at this hour and god now appoints aaron and aaron becomes like a prophet to moses because whatever was in moses mouth was the word of god so aaron could not speak until moses gave him what to say and he said i shall make you as a god to harun that whatever you whatever instruction you give around then ideally that that is what is supposed to be so we begin to see number one is that the will of god was that moses would have showed up in egypt as a god but now god has to introduce a medium by the name of aaron who acts as a prophet and he has delegated his responsibility upon moses and whatever moses utters heaven endorses it immediately whatever he says it has the backing of heaven and so we begin to see this was more like you know god never changed his mind concerning moses but god introduced another man who will speak on his behalf but the challenge is the convictions that were upon moses were not the same convictions that were upon our own because one has encountered the burning bush one has seen the wonders and the signs and the message but another one is meeting a man that has encounters this man operates from conviction and that's why sometimes it's very tricky to follow a man that has had god and you have not heard god you may become a snail you might become a snail to that person because you don't know his convictions you don't know his dealings you don't know his directions then for me from chapter number 18 especially 18 it communicates wisdom so moses went and returned to jethro his father-in-law and said to him please let me go and return to my brethren who are in egypt and see whether they are still alive something is very powerful here the place of being commissioned by your leaders the place of being released by your leaders i want to believe maybe jethro did not have the encounters of moses maybe jethro had not seen the miracles that moses saw but you can see moses still considered jethro as an authority and went and sought permission to leave some people when they sense fire and anointing they don't they they they break the church and live and others leave unceremoniously second thing we get out of this story is that after the encounters and the instruction the fire will end the burning bush experience will come to an end the snake turning into the role turning into a snake and back to around the leprous signs and also the water sign all those will end and the voice of god will come heavily upon you but the decision to obey is personal that decision is personal so we begin to see the first half of this scripture is that this man received all the encounters but at the end of the day he chose to obey and he chose to obey and the protocol is very simple moses goes to jethro you know release me i need to leave i remember i met um a friend of mine who was in him and he told me the late griffin [Music] it is wisdom to be released and it is wisdom to seek audience with them that accommodated you trained you and walked with you when you knew nothing about the wilderness of sinai and jedra said to moses go in peace now the lord said to moses in media go return to egypt for all the men who sought your life are dead then moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey and they returned to the land of egypt and moses took the road of god in his heart now you see it has changed function it is no longer the road of moses it is the road of god and moses is matching towards egypt as god because whatever he utters and whatever he does god is not limited god will implement it god has already delegated the deliverance unto moses and so he will need to operate so the road now is called the road of our god in his hand and the lord said to mrs when you go back to egypt see that you do all these wonders before pharaoh which i've put in your hand but i will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go then he shall say to pharaoh that says the lord of israel is my okay so first of all uh there are wonders that was supposed to do to pharaoh pharaoh was going to harden his heart there are three places the bible says and pharaoh had in his heart and the lord had in the heart of pharaoh and there's a place where the bible says and the heart of pharaoh was hardened now what we need to know is that god did not interfere with the will of pharaoh but it god knew the heart of pharaoh and god permitted pharaoh to operate according to the nature of his heart so it's not that pharaoh wanted to let the children go then the lord will harden his heart so that he doesn't he doesn't release them it automatically means god knew the heart of pharaoh and god knew this man is stubborn this man will not let these people go but that happenedness will become a platform for me to manifest more in my power and in my splendor majesty so it doesn't mean that there was interference of self-will or pharaoh no uh and so we begin to see then you shall say to pharaoh that says the lord of israel that says the lord israel is my son my firstborn so i said to you let my son go that he may serve me but if you refuse to let him go indeed i will kill your son your fastball of course he's communicating a very powerful message because the inheritance used to be given to the fastball and so the first born of pharaoh was supposed to be the next in power and the next in command in the far east culture there was such um there was such a celebration upon the first born fast bones were not just ordinary people especially if that firstborn is a son it meant that that son became the heir of your of your inheritance and that son kept the legacy of of your name and the legacy of the family and so fast bonds were esteemed highly and so the lord begins to tell moses now go and tell pharaoh the way he values his first born is the same way i value my firstborn the way he keeps value under that first bone is the way i keep value on my children israel tell him that if it doesn't let my first bond go this is now the whole of israel then i'm going to deal with this first bomb because the pharaoh understands the value of a first born and at this level god is claiming sonship and when he says israel is my son then automatically he's claiming to be the father of israel at that particular time so he was not just moving as a warrior was also moving as a father to deliver his son from the bondage of egypt and it came to pass on the way at the incumbent that the lord met him and sought to kill him then the border took a shot stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at moses's feet and said surely you are a husband of blood to me now i know many people wonder why why why is it god calls moses and then the same lord wants seeks to kill moses now whatever operation god was doing whatever operation god was doing in egypt was guarded by covenant he was responding to a covenant he had entered with abraham isaac and jacob and the only way to be a part of that covenant was by circumcision so we have a man prepared as a deliverer but he's not qualified for the covenant so meaning that the fact that he was not circumcised whatever god was going to do to the egyptian um would have happened to moses because this what made the israelite receive the attention of zion is the covenant god had entered with abraham that you are seed i will take them out and deliver them and how did you connect to the abrahamic covenant it was by the virtue of circumcision so circumcision was an external symbol of a connection when the blood was shed it connected you to the abrahamic covenant so at this time moses has the call he has the preparation but is not in covenant so the lord when he looks at him as he's approaching to enter egypt he is a candidate of his wrath now these are the multi-dimensions of god that he looks at moses prepares him as a deliverer but when covenant speaks moses has not dealing in the covenant because covenant binds god to himself and if you are not a part of the covenant then god cannot move because he has no dealings with you so at this particular time god must quicken the wife to cut off the foreskin of abraham alisans because this assignment is an aborted mission as long as not abraham as long as moses is not circumcised so this was a serious matter it was circumcision became the gateway and the pathway that connected them to them to the covenantal blessing the operation of deliverance was not out of mercy it was not out of intercession it was a response to covenant so because it was not what the children of israel had done that god was coming to bail them out it was the lord honoring the covenant he had made with abraham and the covenant he transferred to jacob and isaac and so the time had come for him to honor that covenant and if you are not circumcised then you are not a candidate of that covenant and so according to covenant jurisdiction and legislation automatically moses was not part of it but the moment he got circumcised not only did he become a worthy deliverer but he became worthy for deliverance so possibly moses would have delivered the people but he himself will not have been delivered because he was not part of the covenant but now he's not just a deliverer he's also a part of them that need to be delivered he's leading the deliverance himself but he's also a part of them that god is delivering i know that's heavy now so he took stones these these were powerful and and and foreskin of the sun and cast it at moss's feet and said surely you are a husband of blood to me so he let him go then she said you are a husband of blood because of the circumcision and the lord said to aaron go into the wilderness to meet moses so you can see aaron came to meet moses moses has seen the fire moses has seen the signs moses has heard the voice of god aaron is coming to meet and it's because of the complaint that moses gave and the lord said to aren't going to the wilderness to meet moses so he went and met him on the mountain of god and kissed him these were ways of salutation is still common in the far east so moses told aaron all the words of the lord who had sent him and all the signs which had commanded him then moses and aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of israel and aaron spoke all the words which the lord has spoken to moses you can see now aaron took that prophetic office then he did the signs in the sight of the people now who did the science it was our own so the people believed and when they heard that the lord had visited the children of israel and that he had looked on their affliction then they bowed their heads and worshiped we can see moses already playing god so aaron comes meets moses embraces him and he tells him you know what um god has given me a rank i shall be like god unto you lord will watch my mouth and your mouth but listen whatever i tell you just know thou says the lord and so right now let's go let's meet the elders this is what the lord told me i don't cast the stick the snake i don't take the stick i don't put your hand i don't take it out i don't fetch water pour it this is the message that's what the bible says it is here in the bible then moses and aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of israel and aaron spoke all the words which the lord has spoken to moses then he beat the signs in the sight of moses we are still on arrow so the first signs were not performed before pharaoh because these science remember the three of them these three signs were a message to the people to pharaoh this was judgment to the people this was a message so when they saw the signs and decoded the message they knew indeed the lord has come for our rescue and that's how they received moses and aaron as their leaders and permitted them to go and negotiate with with um with pharaoh there is no one there where we hear that moses and aaron went and the children of israel you know kind of rejected them every time they went to arrow to pharaoh they came from the camp of the israelites and went to the palace and met with pharaoh we are going to see that particular sequence of what was already happening so for me that makes a lot of sense and it begins to open up a lot of dynamics that the first signs were not done necessarily even to pharaoh the first science signs were done to the people the elders and they were convicted and these signs were not just signs they were messages the first message the sign of the serpent was the sign that god is going to bring victory over the rulership and the powers and ruling powers of egypt the sign of leprosy was god was going to cleanse the israelites he was going to cleanse them and the sign of the water turning into blood it was that god was going to judge egypt so not only did they defeat the power the lord delivered them and the whole journey of the wilderness it was a cleansing journey you know the lord just are coming to meet them introducing himself the laws and all that and of course we see that the ten plagues was judgment over the 21 deities that were worshiped in the territories of egypt and um if if i was to give a summary it's very powerful the first part of chapter number four from verse one all the way to uh fourteen it's it's the part that communicates the call you know god calling you the fire encounter people resisting the call excuses when people are called god vindicating your ministry through miracles god showing you signs that communicate messages and still coming up with excuses that lord i'm not worthy and there are people who respond quickly then the second phase is you know you have the call you've seen the fires you've seen the signs you know the messages but now you have to take action and the first wisdom is you need to be released as you need to be released don't leave don't live without being released do you need the blessing go to jethro let your authorities know what you're doing don't do it as if god called you to run a secret agency fbi cia no it's a public call then launch out make sure you are in tangent and in line with the covenant be one that understands the new covenant realities don't be a practitioner of something that you're not a partaker of let your heart be circumcised fast you cannot deliver people who have a covenant with god and you don't have a covenant with that god and finally we begin to see that because of stubbornness moses is made like a god unto aaron they go the first signs are performed upon the people and this melts their heart loses their heart and they believe that these are men of god embrace them and now the drama begins chapter number five the first encounter of moses and pharaoh we begin that next week on monday may god bless you father we bless you and father we thank you even tonight there are men and women that you have called some have given excuses some at the place of the fire encounters some lord know that they have a calling but they have not yet left the house of jethro wherever people are lord i declare may this message be an answer and may this message provoke action because indeed you don't partner with us because of our ability but you are always with us the same way you say that will be with you most as i'll take charge of your mouth lord we know any time we stand it is you who takes charge and your lord i pray may this be a message and a wake-up call to deliver us that have decided to enter into
