alright guys why I'm back today with a kind of unboxing of a new to me pistol I was down at American pawn and gun doing some trade and talking with those guys they're super helpful and I saw this Glock 27 and I wasn't in the market for a Glock 27 which is that really compact 40 Cal I'm looking for a Glock 26 for carry but this had so many upgrades so many nice features and it was at such a good price I had to give it a try so let's open it up and take a look so you can see right off the bat this thing is full of upgrades and the first thing that caught my eye was the trigger so this actually came with a few other upgraded triggers with this whole package they were just included I believe was a lone-wolf trigger and some type of safety selector trigger but this really intrigued me now the reason why I picked this up was I've been wanting to try a lot of these aftermarket glock accessories but i didn't really want to spend the money and tear up a lot of my carry guns so this seemed like the best of both worlds i can try out all of these accessories on this pistol see how i like them without messing with my carry guns and since i got it for such a reasonable price i can tinker with it add to it and take away but it does have the trigger con night sights which was i mean these are really nice they glow bright they're easy to acquire but i'm gonna try this single dot setup for a defensive scenario and see if i like it over the three dot scenario it has the extended slide release the extended takedown lever the upgraded trigger and undercut the grips it came with four magazines so different types of magazines i can try out and it also came with let's make sure it's clear one more time and disassemble the pistol it also came with some different recoil assemblies to lighten the feel of that 40 cal so this is gonna be really nice to try out and see if this is a good carry option now all the internals are polished and everything looks super clean and slick on the inside now i'm not going to use this as a carry gun since this is heavily modified by somebody else other than me this is going to be more of a range toy in an experimental project to really modify and tinker with try different glock parts and see how I like it I have a few parts on the way that we're going to be trying in the future so enough talking let's just take this thing down to the range try it out and see what I think of all these upgrades and accessories on the Squawk 27 down here at the range I'm going to start off with some brass cased factory reloads so let's see how this does first shots I don't know who I started missing because it hit so hard it flipped the target to the right I'm used to shooting the 9 millimeter that 40 definitely kicks a little bit more than the 9 but it's actually very controllable out of this pistol I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's got those heavier recoil springs that's doing it or if it's just that got 27 s aren't as bad as people say let's try a few more rounds I'm going to try to watch the ejection pattern this is the flush fitting magazine this thing is awesome it actually knocked one of the bolts out of the steel target so these targets are used to 9 millimeter and this 40 is packing a punch even out of this shorter barrel pretty cool so far now I've got some aluminum rounds I'm gonna give these a try it's the extended grip we'll see how that does so far so good locks back and I'm looking at the ejection pattern on the ground over here and it seemed like they're kicking out really far those heavier recoil springs I don't think are affecting the ejection pattern this is beginning to be starting to be a good review I'm thinking I'm gonna really like this pistol so pretty cool so now I have the factory recoil spring back in the pistol just the seen its factory configuration what the recoil is on a glock 27 so so far it's been fairly manageable I've got these little Pierce pinkie extensions on here let's chamber around brass cased ammo stock recoil spring all right so I can already tell a difference it's still very controllable and it doesn't really slip out of your hands especially with these grips that he's put on the pistol now overall it's definitely snappier than before so I'm gonna drop that spring back out put the heavier spring back in actually have an 18-pound spring I'm gonna try next so now I have the 18 pound recoil spring in here I'm not quite sure of the force on the original spring I know it was more than the factory so I'll try the 18 pound and see how this feels in comparison to the first and factory alright so it definitely felt a little bit easier on the hand then the factory but I'm thinking the one that's in it originally is a little bit stiffer than this it just feels a little bit slower a little bit smoother it kind of dampens everything out I'm gonna go back to that since that's what the original owner had in this pistol and finished out shooting for today so I have it in the configuration in which I bought it with that original spring and looking on some of the packaging for the 18 pound spring I think there may be a 20 pound spring but don't quote me on that now I'm gonna fire it one-handed to see if limp resting this Glock will affect this function knock the target stand down now it seems really manageable I think I'm definitely gonna leave it in this configuration I am really liking this pistol and I'm glad I picked up this Glock 27 I was a little hesitant about picking up a 40 count such a small package because they've been traditionally a little bit snappier than the nine-millimeter I generally carry a 380 pocket pistol or a nine-millimeter single stack I'm thinking about swapping up to a double stack nine-millimeter but this forty cow may eventually rotate in my carry-on but it's gonna have to have hundreds of rounds through it before I ever trust a modified gun like this by someone else with my life but overall this is a pretty awesome pistol now what I can't say and I'm really glad I got this one is I'm liking this sight set up now you could see in the previous video and I'll show you right here that that single dot lines perfectly up in the center super easy to acquire and I really like these sights this may be an option for my defensive carry also I love these grips on here they really stick to your hand I'm not sure if they're gonna come loose on a hot summer day but right now it's about 85 degrees and they seem to be doing good these pearce grip extensions are nice and over all that extended slide release and takedown level a must have it's just overall really cool pistol this does have an extended mag release that works a lot better than some of those other gen 3 so I can really take those positives away from that pistol I'm liking the trigger and all the work in the gun so overall just super happy so I hope you guys liked this video and we'll be continuing to modify this gun in the future now that we know it's reasonably reliable I'm gonna dump a bunch of rounds through it and we'll see the performance in the future thanks for watching guys have a good one
