show today Lord we thank you especially for bringing Michael and Jessica we thank you Lord for the anointing on their lives we thank you Lord that you've given them your truth your love your grace to share with the world father we ask today for a fresh anointing again a personality for Herman and Sharron Lord it is all about your son Jesus yes it's all about him and why are you finished on my face so father we thank you that you're going to use this program today it really many people know who's turned in at just the right moment if they're going to come to salvation they're going to kind of healing they're going to come to deliverance Lord and father they're gonna write in and let us know the decisions and the transformation father we plead the blood over this time okay yes Father every believe I said that right colleano's that's Greek I think we're gonna have some great food right here on the set just kidding they have traveled the world to introduce people to Jesus Christ and Michael was born right here in Tarpon Springs Florida amazing yes he lives in California now right Orlando he pastored a church in Orange County California he ministered to underprivileged children in Mexico and Asia and his wife Jessica is the daughter of pastor Benny Han and he has a beautiful both of them actually yes a beautiful son your son Sam yeah Theo yeah Theo come here yeah come here Theo yeah he's coming right now Theo how you doing buddy please walking around over here honey how you doing Theo come here are you a heavy seal can I let me put you on your chair right oh look at that look in that camera right there see oh look at that face I'm just guessing but that's Greek handsome guy I'm telling you okay can you do this can you do this can you do the I love you sign can you do that just drop the two fingers right there here you go here you go right here you can you can take this program over in just a few years there you go okay hold it just like that there you go that means I can you just fingers it that means I love you that's great so when you're walking in a mall someplace you do that to somebody they're gonna go WOW you know you can come on the set if you want to anytime you want to come on and correct your mom and dad this just telling Michael that this book is so simplistic and I say that in a strange way because I read a lot of books I'm sorry and when you start reading one and you go wow I mean if your style of writing is similar to you talking to me thank you Wow thank God which is which is really good that's a gift do you like preaching I love preaching I really do and I really didn't think that I could write you know I knew it got to put in my heart but I really struggled with the confidence to get it on paper but I just really had to trust in the Lord and we know the whole what the Holy Spirit does the best is revealed Jesus so I'm really thankful and how did you two meet I want to hear the story yeah actually I went to Oral Roberts University and met his brother and played a part met his brothers also feel wow and I introduced him to my cousin and then they introduced us now were you married they're married too now were you popular on campus Benny Hinn's daughter no actually I haven't I'm you know I'd say popular but maybe not liked but um I did have friends though so they can stayed away from you I just think they didn't know what to think at first but um you know I'd say did you were kind of like a celebrity um I guess I did you feel like a celebrity not really no but I think at a Christian college you know there was so many people that you know kind of wild by that a little bit but to me I was just like everybody else okay Michael you saw her what did you think well I knew she was my wife really I did the minute I hadn't seen her for you know we've had that like sure where somebody said that they immediately knew yeah I knew immediately I mean we went to the church together growing up to Orlando Christian Center I got saved in one of her father's meetings now you said something powerful happened to you and that mean very powerful yeah I mean God just you know it's tough to articulate meeting with God but I met with God that night got saved and powered by the Holy Spirit and I remember Jessica I was 12 so she had to be eight so obviously marriage wasn't anywhere but I hadn't really seen her since I saw it a couple Crusades I think but yeah I saw her in 2003 I was at the University of Florida coaching golf I played there actually too and by the way here's golf you don't want to play with him you were in the pro ranks I was yes and I flew out my brother like Jessica said was dating Jessica's cousin so I flew out to hang out with them and yeah I saw her and the Lord said that's your wife I heard it loud and clear but I you know she didn't I remember she had sweats on and she just looked good yeah exactly yeah yeah good and but I knew it's my wife she was a little slower to come around I definitely had the feeling in my heart I knew he was different yeah different from you know other people I normally would hang out with and he was something special about him I could tell he definitely had a connection with the Lord yeah and you wanted that in the guy absolutely at that time yes I mean I when I was running from the Lord a little but it wouldn't have been exactly what I went for but I I knew for a husband you know deep in my heart I know I need a guy like so you had a rebellious time yes sir when you I've had it with all this yeah spiritual stuff yes sir yeah I went through a season of running from the Lord for probably six years and then it was really neat because when I met Michael I was kind of coming out of that season and devoting my life to the Lord and when I met him it kind of just completed the whole thing so yeah yeah something I didn't know that Benny Hana's 50% Greek he's got yeah about 50% Greek and him my grandfather so you guys his grandfather's side there there were Greeks who lived in each a lot of the Greeks left Greece because of persecution I went to Egypt and and so obviously Alexandra has a huge Greek population okay Michael the first time you met her dad did you know who he was obviously you did but did you did you know or wonder how he was going to accept you well the first time I met him I was a kid 12 yeah so but I think you're referring to 2003 yeah you know we just hit it off really I remember walking in and he remembered me as a boy at the church and so I think in his head it was refreshing for him too and and he said you know where have you been but when he said where have you been it wasn't like you would have been doing like it was already serving God where have you been because God so touched us as kids and I was running pursuing golf you know not not focused on the gospel and serving the Lord and but that's amazing when you you were so good at golf and in the book yeah God said give that to me yes well Jesus is so majestic and so wonderful and he's paid such a price for us that he has the right to request whatever he wants and and and to really walk in in the gospel in the fullness of power it's gonna cost you some things and it has to cost you what's due to you and so yeah it wasn't easy I can promise you that I negotiate it with God for probably 10 days yeah I mean like what's wrong with professional Christian golfer and everybody would tell me well lookit and you could have met a tiger would help them out it's a look at Tim Tebow look at ya and I'm a gator and I love Tim Tebow and look at this Christian golfer and Zach Johnson all these great athletes and they say God gave you that gift you need to use it for him but God began to really ask me one question do you love me more than what I've given you Wow and we all come to that place in life divine instruction loving the Lord with all your heart soul and mind yeah that's the simplicity of this book I mean it brings you back to asking questions and pondering them yeah loving the Lord with all your mind your soul your heart your strength really means to love them with all you are and I'll never forget I was pastoring and I just come off the mission field with pastor Benny and seeing millions in some services 1 service 3 million in one service people getting saved notable miracles and now the Lord calls me to Pastor so I leave this scene of acceleration and energy and traveling and excitement now I'm pastoring a church and I'm not seeing the results that the scripture promised in my life and someone told me as I began to pass where they said listen if you're a good pastor the burdens of the people will become yours their joys become your joys their pain becomes your pain when you really become a shepherd well their pain became my pain and I'll never forget burying a man named George Toffler that I really loved he was from my New York he's about 87 years old we talk about golf well he got sick and it was my first service outside of a normal church service was burying my friend and I prayed for him I'll never forget before he died just sitting in his room believing God to heal him and and another girl got cancer and she wasn't healed and and obviously God has his times and his seasons but I wasn't see with the gospel promised and I really came to the place where I asked myself a question Michael it's either God's fault or yours either the Scriptures true or it's not people weren't getting saved at the rate I was hoping for we just weren't seeing the results that they saw on the book of Acts that the disciples saw and that Jesus saw in his ministry so it forced me to seek Him like I did as a boy as a 12 year old kid and after about a year and a half of spending I don't know I mean only God would know but hours and hours and hours of God the Lord really brought me back to what counts and that's loving Jesus and the reason I say that is because scripture supports it the Bible says that a lawyer came to Jesus and he said which is the first and Great Commandment in other words out of this whole Bible 66 books that has withstood the test of time it's God's inspired Word out of the breath of God on paper out of this entire book what commandment stands out from the rest and Jesus answering said to love the Lord thy God with everything you are basically and so I said to myself I get everything else and I miss that first love with Jesus I missed it all what's amazing is once you come into this first love this Bridal love everything else falls into place and so that's really why the book was written and that's really why I taught on that Scripture but something happened to you in a Lutheran Church yeah and amazing I'm a whole place of all places and about 75 people there if that yeah 50 to 75 yeah and I'm a group former Greek Orthodox now you are a hundred percent group hundred percent Wow pure bread Gerber yeah and in spring and I'm pastoring a st. church in Orange County and I get a call to go visit with a friend to meet with him and play a little golf and he want to introduce me to a pastor who was a naval chaplain a commander in the Navy who had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a Lutheran lost his church because of that except for 12 people there respected man and a great theologian and now he comes in contact and has this pot this unction from God and I'm playing golf with him and he starts to tell me how he'd had a stroke while he was preaching he preached through the stroke but after he got done preaching he collapsed and he was paralyzed on in his left leg well someone came up to him after and by the way as he was preaching and this happened to him there were 200 of the most prominent business men in New York they were there it's called the New Canaan Society some great preachers have preached there bunk Reinhard Bonnke really great men of God go there it's a small group but very influential and they all saw him collapse and when the paralysis hit he was hopeless but he got healed miraculously while singing to the Lord worshiping in a large worship service and he knew it he know he took the brace off instantly healed I've walked 18 holes of golf with him and I'm not exaggerating I have trouble keeping up with him there's not a limp not not the smallest tinge of paralysis and so as he begin to share this story with me so why don't you come to my church tonight and you don't have to preach just just come I said okay great so I'm sitting in the second row wooden pews old wooden cross I love that though gorgeous I love that and we're in the forest and Connecticut is beautiful and this kid grabs a guitar and hits that first chord and when he hit the first chord everything I've been praying for for a year and a half took place I was as if Jesus wrapped his arms around me I felt initially such power ripping through my hands that I looked at him at this point I was afraid to do anything that would mess this up yeah I don't want to breathe the wrong way and because I was the fear of God was just so real and as I looked at my hands they began I could see them throbbing they were beet red they were sweaty I said I remember telling the Lord Lord if this is he and there's really a dumb prayer but he accepts our childish prayers thank God I said Lord if this is you have this man give me the service I don't know what else to pray the reason I prayed that is because I felt if that power weren't released yeah that I would die in that seat and as soon as I open my eyes here's this Lutheran pastor he says take the service and God moved and that was really the beginning of our ministry and the book and traveling the world and since then what came so hard while pastoring has really come easy you talk about God deserves our undivided love our marriage to Jesus is no different let's explain that okay well the scripture says in Hosea that the Lord speaking to his people he says I will betroth you to me forever again it says in Isaiah your maker is your husband Jesus is also called the bridegroom we are called the bride okay so I think it's very important that we understand when you come to an altar you get on your knees or you're watching this this wonderful show that when you give your life to the Lord you're not joining Christianity or a church you're marrying God now the seal of an earthly marriage is our ring that's the seal the seal of our marriage with Jesus is the blood of Calvary amen so the weight of our covenant with Jesus is much stronger than the weight of our covenant with our earthly spouse my point is and we are to give great attention to our spouse you guys do that so well you come across well you can just see you love each other and it's so refreshing to see 51 years is beautiful it's beautiful but Jesus wants the same yeah you know he gets lonely we see that through Scripture he gets lonely depended on Peter James and John for for company yeah and so he wants first love and he really to be honest that I'm not being hard but it's Scripture really that's the only love he'll accept my first love that's a sampling as you walk through this and as you're reading it it's like what is so neat is this like you're counseling as I'm reading it's like that's a mirror that is me what I see you with great love and joy while he's talking what is that going on it's I'm just well first I'm just very proud of him because I've seen the journey I saw the struggles when we were in Orange County pastoring and what God's done with him is just so beautiful the book is just so touching you know I'm not being biased but it's just when I read it sometimes I cry or have those moments or I have to reread what he just wrote because I'm just so taken back and it's helped my walk with the Lord to not just the book but just what God's done with us and whole in the ministry has been so beautiful to watch and the Lord wrote the book the Holy Spirit wrote the book oh yeah because he couldn't say the way that it said in the book a human can't say those things about the Lord so beautifully so it's really helped to my walk with the Lord time I want to say them if it weren't for my wife there is no way I could have written the book because some days were six hours it took me 18 months I was so picky because I wanted to give Jesus the best this to me that people said what's it about was really a gift to Jesus for him and my wife would watch the kids and and and try to keep him quiet sometimes this sounds well sometimes I would have to turn on in all those rain machines yeah and put your phones in because I was working out of the house yes she was it's special when a woman yeah lends her husband to the Lord like that that's really what she did and prayed me through it and listen I'll never forget when the book came out she was reading another book and I was like oh this is a great book I said well have you read mine I've read your book for the last 18 months you read it to me what chapter would you like I remember she was reading Joyce Myers book and I said oh we love Joyce but I mean babe I ask seek and knock yeah you say your answer whisper Jesus again and again yeah well when you think about Christianity what is it you know is it a dog mine's that a creed what is it it's really jesus said I am life he said eternal life is knowing me right John 17:3 so we need to realize that when we whisper his name he's real he's alive he's not he's on the tomb now he's a liar and because he's alive the scripture says has he who planted the ear can he not hear so when we whisper his name he hears us he really hears us and we forget that we do and I I always say when you go into prayer don't go into prayer go to God it's big difference Wow sometimes we get enveloped in the act of prayer yes not realizing the scripture says ritualistic absolutely Hebrews says when you come to God you must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him you can't take Jesus out of what we do as Christians you no more it's no more complicated he so comfortable which is really you know there's there's no strain here and that is so much a gift in fact you say in the book exchanging heaven for Earth now that's a tough one you know the scripture says this it says you are altogether lovely that means when you discover Jesus and his fullness this is the answer that comes out of your mouth you are lovely you're perfect and so a portion of his character is his humility and one of the greatest characteristics he's has he has is his humility we need to never forget the God who hung the stars in the heavens and tilted the earth on it's perfect angle when he spoken words so he wouldn't freeze or burn and also put it at the perfect distance over a freezer burn with one spoken word today creation continues the world calls it evolution no it continues but it's creation and it's a result of one spoken word that God whose robe filled the temple with glory not only became a baby but became a seed and a woman there is no one more humble and more meek than Jesus and so yes he exchanged heaven for earth that really for the most part hated him and today he's just as hated if not more hate in fact you say if Jesus is your King it becomes his responsibility to take care of you I say that I honor we honor we pray for leadership for for the people whom God has placed in authority but we have a president and a governor but my king is Jesus and it's his job to provide and protect and counsel and even fight for us I've prayed that prayer before I said Lord they're messing with me I need your help now and he has because he's very protective over his bride just like we would be Lord Jesus you are saying the one who completely owns me and has total control over me yes that's him that's Jesus again this book Jesus well I don't think we realize what we're saying when we say Lord Jesus right what you're really saying is you own me and I totally submit to your will in every area that's the Christian life you know when you grew up as Christians you probably heard Jesus is Lord very often I would imagine yes that the teaching of his lordship which really produced Christians who have been so solid for the most part and really were what wrote we're riding that wave through today still today we hear well Jesus is cool and he's your friend that's true he is our friend but he's our Lord and we need to never forget that he owns us absolutely right man to hear you say that that's the truth yes and I love this phrase he will only settle where he is welcome share with somebody salvation message I don't know where they are what they're there no my friend you may be in the toughest situation right now and you might be sick and body you you you may you may be addicted to drugs you may be completely lost you may have even considered giving your own taking own life I want to tell you something the answer is a loving person not a method not a system I'm not even asking you to join a church that's not bad I'm asking you to meet a person and his name is Jesus his name means the Lord who saves and so really what you're asking for right now is to be saved yes safe from your sin that's cut you off from God you're tired of working you're trying to tired of doing it on your own jesus loves you and if you'll talk to him right now he'll hear you and I want to pray with you right now I don't want you to repeat this prayer out of repetition I really want you to pray every word from the bottom of your heart father God I have messed up I have failed you please forgive me wash me in the blood of Jesus Jesus I believe you died on a cross for my sins and that you're alive today and I believe you're coming back again so right now dear Jesus I give you my life I give you all I am all I have live in my heart Here I am write to me closed
