and today I am going to blow your mind I'm gonna say something that you're not gonna believe but by the end of the video you are going to believe it get ready for this your metabolism does not really matter when it comes to being lean and maintaining a ripped or lean physique that sounds stupid and this is not clickbait it is not clickbait it's fact and I explain why I'm gonna prove it but in a video you will agree do not write comments Ingham wrong yet watch the video and then say oh my god you're right I can't believe I didn't think of this it's not your fault you're not as smart as me I think outside the box and I understand these things it took the whole life to get to this point okay so it's not your metabolism to decides it what are you talking about it is right your thinking is no this is what it is okay you got two people one's got a super fast metabolism and the other one doesn't okay what person's eating 4,000 calories a day and they're maintaining 15% body fat you're eating 3000 calories a day and you're maintaining 15% body fat somebody else is eating 2,000 calories a day maintain 15% body fat all different calorie in takes you're all jealous of mr. 4,000 calories a day person they get to eat 4,000 and I only get 2,000 that sucks ah I have to start myself to lose weight and you don't okay let's take me as the example cuz it's me and I right here I can give you the example if I eat 2500 calories a day that is an absolute and utter nightmare of starvation and absolute insane suffering and I would rather be in prison almost then to have to eat only 2500 calories a day you're thinking what are you talking about I only get to eat 2,000 calories a day you get 2500 is suffering did you get that wet it got bad well I explain why I can explain why I'm gonna do so even calmly because it's easy to understand I need to get worked up to explain this when I eat 2500 calories a day that's a thousand calorie deficit for me it's a thousand calories in the hole when I'm eating a thousand calories in the hole and my body fat is dropping to say six or five percent I'm suffering because that is well below where my body wants me to be at in terms of its fat storage it's called my setpoint we all have a genetic set point of a comfortable fat percentage that our body wants us to be we'll call it homeostasis as in a state of normalcy that allows you to feel good and be good and at good and just have a sense of happiness and well-being for me it's not five percent it's not if it was I would be there for me it's somewhere around 20 percent that's where my fat percent would be if I just ate like everybody here watching this video if I eat like you and I ate that pizza you ate this week guess how much Pizza ate this week as IDO if I did as much car to you as you how much car D do you do yeah you went for a walk you shopped a little bit you did a little bit of cardio on the treadmill I entered five bike races and won three of them my heart rate 192 new max of all time how hard was your cardio moderate pace maybe you did it you did hit Oh No you over there you're so great you didn't hit cardio oh you did a one-minute intervals in there on up I went all out oh I had million dollars gun to my head could not have written harder that's how hard harder than last time how do I know because the Wadden said harder than last time new record waters PR boom it said ten new heart rate records how do I know cuz I have training piece app tracks all the shits so I exercise really hard and I eat really good so do you think it's easy for me to be this whatever this is this is miss no I'm below my genetic set point how much calories do I you today I need 3,000 3,500 a day on those days that's where I'm eating well why love you some so jealous you get eat so much when I 3,000 to 3,500 calories a day it's a lot of low calorie dense food that fills me up a lot okay and it's a lot of fruits and it's a lot of vegetables and it's a lot of healthy stuff it's not much burgers and fries and ice cream and pizza and chocolate it's in fact basically none of any of that for the most part okay so I am able to maintain a low body fat level low for me not low for Jeff Cavaliere because I'm eating low calorie dense foods that fill me up so that I don't eat to allow my body to get to the genetic set point which is around the 20% mark seats right there 20 here's 10 okay I can be at 10% by eating this way but my body wants me to be 20 so it sends signals to my brain saying you're hungry so if I just eat normal higher calorie dense food I'll have been gonna eat healthy I'm gonna eat nuts that are healthy and avocado that's healthy and salmon that's healthy I need a lot of fats higher calorie stuff I can eat some rice cuz everyone likes rice and if I eat that exact same diet that I just outlined I am not maintaining 10 percent body fat because I am now too hungry I want to eat my face off and my hand and everything else and then I'll end up cheating my body fat will creep up towards 20 and at 20 I'm good I can eat pizza and stuff I'm good because my body's happy it likes me at 20 percent of its is happy place the fat cells are now happy they went they want to be say half full in a circle yeah be a circle fat sounds like a circle see this is a circle and it wants to be half full so if it's half full it's happy when you go on a diet it gets lower and it makes you hungry and it said these signals to eat more when you're a fat so it's full and it says stop being a fat so stop eating then you're waking up in the morning and you're never hungry for breakfast you're not even hungry by lunch and the only thing that tastes good is pizza because you're so freakin fat that normal tasting food doesn't taste good anymore you don't like fruit you don't like vegetables you just like pizza you like Doritos - you like chips and candy because they're so highly palatable highly pata both the helmets a highly palatable foods like very high in sugar creamy like ice cream haagen-dazs so easy so tasty even if you're full you want it there's always room for dessert that's what happens okay getting back to this metabolism thing if you're at 2,000 calories and you're leading mm but you're at your genatech setpoint cuz you have a shitty metabolism your body wants you to be at 20% fat but you don't burn off a lot of calories your need is low you don't have the muscle mass that I have you are smaller you just don't have a fast metabolism you don't have a good amount of NEET not exercise activity thermogenesis your body just sitting around it doesn't burn off calories maybe your thyroid is inactive maybe it's just sitting around not burning off hardly anything you just don't burn a lot of calories you don't move a lot you're very just slow and sluggish you just don't do anything you are only able to eat 2,000 calories to maintain 20% okay let's say me I can maintain it at 3,000 I get to the thousand calories more the thing is if you're a 20% 2,000 calories doesn't feel like you're starving your body's happy at 2,000 calories you think on my coaches starving me he's got me on 1,500 calories a day that's only a 500 calorie deficit hardly starving that's one pound of fat a week to lose versus if you're at 3,000 calories and you're on a 500 calorie deficit you're gonna lose one pound of fat same as if you're on 2,000 and you cut out 500 calories that's gonna give you one pound a week deficit same thing your burn the same amount when you're in a deficit that's when life starts to suck you're below where you want to be it doesn't suck if your fat cells were already full to the top and you're in a deficit because your body only wants to be halfway it would actually feel good to be in a deficit you never heard of force feeding force feeding is people who are already fatter than they want to be they have to force themselves to eat or to go past the halfway point because their bodies are like why do you keep eating we're full and happy stop ramming rice down your freakin throat if you're in that same deficit you're in that same suffering so when I'm eating 2,500 calories a day if my maintenance is 3,500 because I'm doing a lot of cardio that's a thousand calorie deficit that to me feels like I'm starving at 2,500 if you're eating 2,000 is maintenance and you go on a 1,500 calorie diet so you're eating 1,500 I'm eating 2,500 you're jealous of me because I'm eating more than you and I'm saying oh hi there little 1,500 calorie eater I'm suffering and hate life what do you mean I'm only eating 1,500 calories I'm suffering worse though no because you're eating more yes I am you see they keep battling each other and the 1,500 calorie eater thinks they're right the 2500 calories you eat err thinks they're right but this person is me and I'm right 98 to 99 percent of time and I'm right this time I'm suffering more even though I'm eating more because I'm in a greater deficit I am eating more because I have a faster metabolism and I'm burning up more calories but I'm in a greater deficit causing me to suffer more I'm in fact starving myself more than that person who's eating less than me I'm starving more even though I'm not starving 20 years ago I used to tell my my friends and stuff they would eat a 6-inch sub and I would eat a footlong sub and I would look at them and say if I ate a 6-inch sub that'd be like you eating nothing and they're like what do you mean I'm like if I eat that much food it would feel like if you ain't nothing they didn't get it but what it means is if I only ate 500 my I was doing four hours of cardio day I was eating 5,000 calories today I was like mr. cardio doing triathlons if I only ate a 500 calorie sub it would be the same feeling as if they didn't even eat it at all because 500 calories to me is starving to death it's almost like them eating nothing and in fact I said it's like you eat nothing and it was a big joke and I'd say no that's like you eat nothing and it'd be like what do you mean I mean like if I only eat a 6-inch sub it's like starving myself today and they just don't get it but I'm explaining it I'm hoping you get it okay so like don't think you're starving disturb me still 1,200 calories if you're only maintenance is 1500 and you're eating 1200 you're only in a 300 calorie deficit that's hardly starvation it'd be way worse to be eating 4,000 calories a day and being in the Tour de France and being asked to ride a bicycle for seven hours you're gonna go up to Lance Armstrong and say geez you're lucky you get to eat 4,000 calories a day on your bike and Lance would be like four thousand on a day off you mean I eat six thousand a day well it's so lucky no it's not a bird off six thousand on the bike you need six thousand just to balance itself off does that make sense so when you're all complaining and you're starving cuz you only need to eat this and you're jealous cuz they get to eat so much more the only actual difference the only difference the only signal only benefit to being able eat more is you get to have more taste yumminess okay so when I ate 3,500 calories a day I'm getting to eat 3,500 calories of nothing up tastes yum I'm swallow I get more yummy taste swallow then the person on the 1200 calorie diet that's the only difference I don't suffer less because I'm eating more I suffer the same even though I'm eating more food let's compare men and women men on average weigh more than women the average woman in North America eats 1800 calories a day the average man eats 2800 a day that's a thousand calorie difference the reason is because men are bigger on average and have more muscle mass and have more needs and more calorie burning on average in averages out both men and women on average are overweight or obese so that calorie intake is too high most women don't need 1800 and most men don't need 2800 they should be eating less on average it doesn't mean that women suffer more eating 1,800 than men eating 2800 men and women given their own just eat whatever you want blah blah blah on average the men will suffer the same at 2800 as 1800 so it's a thousand calories difference so if a man eats I don't know 2,200 calories a day say it's 600 less than average and a woman eats 1,800 and there are 600 calories a day less they have kind of the same amount of suffering because there are the same amount of a deficit so the only advantage to having this faster metabolism and eating more technically is you can lose weight faster as in pounds faster because a woman can't go into as great of a deficit if you're eating 1,800 you can't cut out a thousand while you technically could eat 800 but you wouldn't get the proper nutrients like there's vitamins and minerals that you need you shouldn't go that low men could get away with eating 1800 because they would still be getting enough food but is it really an advantage no because if you're a man and you're 200 pounds versus a woman in your 150 pounds the man has to lose to lose 1 percent body fat they have to lose 1% of 200 pounds which is 2 pounds whereas the girls 1% of a hundred and fifty pounds is 1.5 pounds so to make the same percentage change for those of you who are good at that the man needs to lose 2 pounds as a woman 1 and a half so the man needs to lose faster to progress at the same actual rate I know that's a lot of math but it makes sense it's true just believe me if you don't believe me so this suffering that you're talking about in this I don't want to starve myself and I'm starving and you base it on how many calories and coaches who brag about my clients are eating 2,000 calories a day and bragging about it as if to be like some holy grail of whoever gets to eat the most suffering the least it's complete [ __ ] it is it's how far below your genetic set point are you that determines how much suffering you're doing and how far of a deficit are you in at the current time to get to that point if you're only 500 calories a day or less say 250 to 500 below maintenance a day and you die it you're not gonna suffer as bad you're not gonna feel as weak you're not gonna be like oh I have no energy you're not gonna feel as crappy as if you're cutting on a thousand to 2,000 calories a day in the deficit we are so far in a deficit you're basically burning fat like left and right all the time out of 250 calorie deficit yeah burning fat a little bit you know here and there the snaps are slower versus the 2,000 holy goodness lose that fat it's hard people are all thinking that they're starving that they're in starvation mode that oh my god it's because I have poor genetics and pour this and pour that no it's the fact that you have crappy parents that passed on genes from millions of years ago or if you're religious from six or seven thousand years ago because we didn't evolve from monkeys or anything we just came from Adam and Steve's ribs or Avenue me whatever I'm not really mega religious so believe what you want be a circle or a parallelogram I don't care what you want to be be quadrilateral triangle equilateral triangle that's fine with me I don't care what your beliefs are I don't care who you worship or don't worship eight years or not don't care do what you want but the genetics that you do have if they were pre-programmed that your body wants you to be 40 percent body fat that's just unfortunate it doesn't matter if you have a fast metabolism and you're 40 percent body fat or a slow metabolism at 40 percent body fat if your body wants you to be 40 percent body fat because here was 2040s way up there if your body wants you to be 40 percent body fat at best I would say you can maintain 20 percent I'd say half the percent that your body was made to be you were born to be 40 percent you're created to be 40 percent but you don't like 40 percent because this earth Instagram the media your friends have decided that round bodies aren't as attractive as curvy bodies and so on I didn't make these rules I wasn't the one that forced this upon people I just ended up being one of the people that same to it is that even a words to came succumb I succumb whatever get your minds out of the gutter yeah what matters is if you were born to be really fat it's gonna be hard to be really lean it doesn't matter if it's a fast metabolism or slowing if you're eating 8,000 calories a day and you're at 40% and if you go down to 6,000 calories that's the 2,000 calorie deficit those of you are good in math 8,000 minus 6 2000 if you go in this 2,000 calorie deficit and you're at 6,000 calories a day and your body wants you to be a fatso morbidly obese and it sends signals saying eat eat eat and you've eaten 6,000 calories of pizza but it wants you to eat 8,000 then you're gonna feel like you're starving you're like but leaving 6,000 calories of pizza donuts how can he be starving because his brain her brain is messed up and is sending that person those signals to keep eating they can't help the fact that their body is sending those signals and then to have shitty genetics the same person could be 40 percent body fat and only eating 3,000 calories a day and they go on a deficit and they get the same exact stinking signals of hunger and it's sucks so whether you have a fast metabolism you're fourth out you're eating 8,000 calories a day in your fat slow Matt as them you're 3000 calories in your fat whichever one it doesn't even matter because when you go on a deficit you're gonna be hungry so what's the solution whether you have a slow metabolism or a fast metabolism the answer is low calorie dense foods what are those those are foods that have a lot of volume but not a lot of calories the opposite of nuts the opposite of peanut butter the opposite of oil low calorie dense foods like a big salad not a lot of calories whole lot of food stomach when it gets stretched out send signals to the brain saying put the fork down this guy's eating it doesn't automatically know that those foods you're eating have a lot of calories or not the stomach isn't that smart the stomach doesn't really have a brain the brain is located in here well it's it's in there down then your pants and a lot of guys and girls but it's mostly in here okay so you can trick it that's the good news that's where my diet comes in it's a trick diet over several decades of research and experimentation and coaching I've devised the best diet in the world in the world this world I'm not familiar with other planets or galaxies we can debate it prove Pluto's a planet or not we can debate a lot of things if there's life on other planets there may or may not be I personally think there are based on the vast size of the universe the odds are to me that there is life somewhere else call me crazy I don't think there's aliens in this planet but I do think there are in other planets that there's life that exists somewhere else it's another topic but for this planet that I'm on my diets the best because I factored in the reason you do not lose weight and keep it off is cause of hunger not because of I'm an emotional eater I'm crying and they bite me let me in ain't haagen-dazs no it's not from emotional eating it's not because you're craving a burger it's not it's because you're hungry you are hungry I get hungry I learn which foods to eat when I'm hungry to make me less hungry I don't have the answers to the universe I can't get you to be 4% body fat year-round and maintain it and not be hungry and live life to the fullest and be 300 pounds of jack muscle but I can get you halfway to your dream physique that is a lot better than no way to your dream physique half way if you're 40% I get you to 20 and maintain it and be happy and not hungry that is a lot better than sitting at 40 I don't tell anyone what they want to hear I tell them what they need to hear and it's often not what they want to hear but it's the truth I'd rather hear look you can't gain 15 pounds of muscle natural at the age of 30 after 10 years of hard training in a couple of years you're not gonna gain 15 pounds you might gain 7 or 8 I'd rather no I can't then say oh yeah we could do it just follow me training then you do it you get discouraged I'd be like straight to the point this is what you can expect that's me honest actual feedback and advice that's actually you can take it to the bank count on it not BS who wants that who wants smoke blown up their bum I don't want smoke in there I don't want a finger in there and I want pinkeye I want any of that No get out of our five-year-old mindsets where we imagine everything in the world it's not an imaginary world anymore we don't have imaginary friends we did when we were kids we don't play make-believe games and so on it's a real world we're adults we have to suck it up and start living in reality reality is half of your dream goals probably where you're gonna be we don't want to be hungry and that's what we need to do we need to follow a low calorie dense food diet I got lots of delicious foods that taste amazing so that when you're not eating those highly palatable foods man that's hard to say without spitting highly palatable foods you'll have something else to eat that's lower in calories less calorie dense maybe it has more fiber but you're gonna lose some weight your cholesterol is gonna improve you're gonna live longer you're gonna have an improved quality of life and a life expectancy will increase this is about what I do yeah I quote people on supplementation some of these supplements don't increase your life expectancy but I'm not gonna lie about it I'm gonna tell you what I would do I'm gonna tell you what it would do side effects pros cons we didn't tell you everything you need to know you decide will you put into your own bodies just never break the law that's all I ask don't break the law
