I'm a cashier I'm a schoolteacher I'm a doctor we're five we play make-believe we play games as adults we don't stop we just changed the game to be different things we play that I'm gonna gain 20 pounds and it's gonna be all muscle game yeah coach dragon today I'm going to be going over the top 10 most overrated foods that you're eating in your hopes to build muscle so it's not that they don't help you build muscle it's that they're so overrated you think they're amazing but they're they're not really they're okay but not amazing so you maybe want to rethink if you're eating these top 10 things rethink it that's as simple as I could say it during order my top three are at the bottom so you'll find out the three worst in my opinion the ones that are most overrated in a comment section let me know what your top three are I'd like to see if you agree with me or if you have different ones you might have one that's not even on the list for some reason maybe you have some different thing that you think is a really good food to eat to build muscle but it's not whatever we'll see all right let's get right into it I don't have to explain that I'm not a doctor because you already know that and I'm not an even a dietitian I'm nothing I'm a nobody I'm just a guy talking about food number one of the less here let's start with steak steak is a really high calorie dense food it's got a lot of fat in it it's not got a lot of protein compared to the calories so if you eat steak to build muscle what you're doing is you're eating a lot of calories you're probably thinking oh this steak it's full of protein but it's not it's full of fat it's got more calories from fat than it does from the protein itself okay so when you're eating steak you're thinking I'm eating protein mostly you're eating fat you're eating more fat than protein in comparison things like chicken or fish way more protein compared to the calories you're eating so steak is likely gonna lead to things like city overweight you know just gaining too much pounds the wrong kind of pounds as opposed to just muscle not to say that steak doesn't help me build muscle it's just it's overrated you don't need it okay it's gonna make you fat if you eat too much of it so be careful remember nine whole eggs whole eggs is like steak it's full of fat saturated fat unhealthy fat oh it's full of healthy fat there's a lot of things that have healthier fat than eggs and steak okay people whole eggs if you eat that instead of the egg white you're getting a ton of extra fat yeah you need some fat to live not a lot you don't need a meeting ten whole eggs six whole eggs I'm eating five whole eggs cuz I'm a bodybuilder for breakfast that's not what you need to do we're not rocky from 1980s or something here we don't need to drink freakin whole eggs Rauf to build muscle okay can you eat whole eggs yes just don't try to shove them down and force him down you're better off to eat less whole eggs so let's say you're eating four day have two and add more egg whites then you'll have more protein less fat and calories and you'll probably end up leaner with just as much muscle so enough with the whole eggs next Ezekiel bread Ezekiel bread whatever I do not approach stuff it's not some magic bread people think it's so much better than normal bread it's not just eat regular ass bread just do it you might get marginally healthier by eating Ezekiel bread but it's not like super healthy it's not like oh my god I'm eating Ezekiel bread I'm gonna magically build all this muscle cuz it's so healthy it's not that healthy popcorn is healthier for example just one example of something that you could eat that's healthier so if you like regular bread more than Ezekiel bread eat regular bread I do not go out of my way and buy Ezekiel bread have I eaten it in my life yes do I like it no why would I eat something I don't like if it's only marginally better than the other kind it's not worth it eat something else have regular bread add something else that's healthy like a vegetable or a fruit to it and you'll get more benefit than just eating Ezekiel lean ground beef you're thinking well yeah but you just said you should have like lean or cuts of meat and stuff lean it's lean lean ground beef is not lean it's kind of like people that say I'm pretty lean I'm like I can see the top two of my abs if you can only see the top two of your abs your fat sorry sorry for the wake-up call you're fat you're not obese but you certainly fat it'll say okay medium ground beef that's 20% fat well it doesn't sound so bad 20 percent lean ground beef is usually 15 percent fat extra lean ground beef is 10 percent fat you're thinking well geez that's not much fat at all 10 percent 50 20 that's nothing lean ground beef we'll pick that one cuz I chose this one 50 percent of it from weight is fat that means that of a hundred grams which is like three and a half ounces is 15 grams of fat how many of you are eating only three and a half ounces most of your eating double that so you're getting 30 grams of fat saturated fat animal fat is not really good for you it's not salmon it's not guacamole it's not avvocato the fat isn't really good from animals okay good to bait me all you like but you're gonna lose so just don't so lean ground beef is not a muscle building food it's a fattening food it's a fat making food it's good if you want to get fat you just want to bulk up and add a bunch of weight and think and pretend and make believe you know when we were five years old we've laid mate believe games I'm a believe we were doctors we just pretended we did as adults we think we're older and smarter we're just older we're not smarter we actually think we're gaining 20 pounds of muscle when we gain 20 pounds that's how stupid we are I'm not making this up you know it you have friends who do it you're probably thinking yourself it's fattening 15 percent by weight not by calories they don't get tricked by the percent on it you have to figure out how many calories from fat are there in it okay it's a lot okay so when you're eating a lean meat it's not lean it's fattening when you're eating meat medium ground beef it's not medium it's mind blowing fattening lean should be called fattening medium should be called the SuperDuper fattening and extra lean should be called fairly fattening okay extra lean ten percent it's still got a lot of fat a lot okay way more than chicken and so on so be careful eating lean meats and thinking it's lean it's not into workouts the drinks that you have they're full of sugar could be dextrose whatever you're drinking that and I'm putting this as the food because I don't care if you're drinking sugar it's food sugar is food it's good calories this food so you're drinking that in the gym and you're doing it because you're trying to build muscle and you're thinking it's gonna fuel that workout that workout that burn 300 calories you really think you need to drink a bunch of sugar to replace the 300 calories you burn in your leg day workout you don't need it did you skip breakfast did you skip lunch you don't need it there's glycogen in your body you didn't just run a marathon if you ran a marathon sure but we're in the gym lifting weights we're not out there burning a lot of calories we're just in there lifting weights which doesn't burn a lot of calories sorry to be the bearer of bad news these you don't burn a lot of calories doing weightlifting you don't you burn more calories walking then you dude on leg day let that hit home going for a walk with the dogs burns more calories than going to the gym and doing a heavy a squat day do you go and bring your intra dextrose drink oh sorry dogs I need a dextrose sip no you walk the dogs and it burns more calories walking the dogs then squatting that 600 pound squat that you can't even lift anyway it's just the truth sorry hold milk the go mad diet drink a mallet gallon of milk a day whole milk oh the extra calories extra calories equals extra fat not extra muscle you don't start guzzling down whole milk to get extra calories to build muscle you don't even need these extra calories who ever said you needed extra calories you're gonna eat big to get big eat big to get big and fat you don't need to eat big to get big muscles that's BS more B's seems the word hole is a problem whole eggs whole milk Whole Foods soon as you see the word whole and somebody says something worry about it whole worry about them holes be careful in them holes doctors advice might get pinkeye careful in the holes fast freakin food I don't care if it's Wendy's McDonald's our sushi even you don't need these freaking post-workout pre-workout leg day big meal oh god I gotta eat so much food because it's a freaking workout today no it's such a myth it's so overrated you don't need to eat a bunch of extra calories to fuel your live day you're gonna burn 300 calories if you're lucky unlucky you don't need a 1300 calorie Dairy Queen blizzard to fuel that you don't you're just using it as an excuse to get fat then when you bulk up and you're up 20 pounds and you're still playing we because we're 5 years old in 25 year old bodies then you lose the weight and then you ask coach Craig how come I'm getting flat when I diet because you did have muscle in the first place the idiot Oh Greg so mean why cuz I don't want to play your make-believe game I don't play make-believe PS I speak the truth I'm a grown adult maybe it happens after 40 I don't know but someday you're gonna grow up and learn that the real world you can't just say hocus pocus magic and it doesn't actually happen I know you want it to it doesn't happen you can't take anabolics and woof be huge it doesn't work like that make believe we're not six anymore and then buy top three ready for my top three this is my top three doesn't mean it's yours but we'll see the third most overrated food in the world that people eat peanut butter nuts I combine them because peanut butter comes from nuts kind of thing it is not a muscle building who it is fattening food and it's low protein it tastes good it's like Reese's peanut butter cups they taste so good it's full of peanut butter peanut butter balls oh it's chocolate peanut butter it's not to build muscle it's the chocolate bar it tastes yummy we eat it for yumminess we've convinced ourselves because we like to play make-believe games got a little burst all still five years old we are we're freakin 5 in grown up bodies yeah just think about it we are you think I want to believe that protein in peanut butter makes me a big bad boy or I'm a girl I need me either better because I'm in bikini and it'll make my glutes better no it doesn't it tastes yummy and you want to eat it so you've convinced your brain cells to think oh it builds muscle it's not that it tastes so freakin delicious that I want to eat it all day and I eat the jar I can't put this moved out I can't put it down the coach Craig said to put the fork that it doesn't say anything about the spoon I did in another then sending but my finger be careful with your finger toe don't put it in the hole don't be careful I can't warn you enough peanut butter and not so much calories it's gonna make you fat you don't need a lot a couple and you're fat it's just gonna just be addictive you can't stop eating it's too delicious to yummy be careful instead of peanut butter PB Fit pv2 powdered peanut butter okay has way less calories half the calories way less fat hence more protein builds more muscle why are you adding peanut butter when you have a better alternative doesn't seem to make sense to me when you have a better choice that tastes yummy why not use it cuz you're insane you don't know better one of those two or you're still in freakin six-year-old world where you just have imaginations and you think that the world is what you create out of it in your own head but it's not it's not the world is what I tell it to be not what you think and imagine it to be it's what's actually happening number two Derek Jeter number two I think that's what it to say is I don't I don't fall baseball that much number two number two post-workout protein shakes it was almost number one it was a debate for me cuz so many of my clients and future clients and phone calls and whatever's all say well where's my post-workout protein shake on my meal plan well does it count as a snack what it what is it the calories from the Prost there is no post-workout protein shake it is not 1987 anymore I know you were six years old at that time but now you don't need to do that it's science we've learnt that it doesn't help it's not some magic thing work oh I just worked out I need to have a whey protein shake because then my muscles get huge no your muscles are getting huge from the meal you ate already before the or a few hours before the gym not the drink that you just had after the William you don't need that it's not some magic window time of muscle growth you want it to be and you think it it's not I go to the gym and I'm in the change room and I'm changing and put my shoes on and it's all these old guys and they're all with their protein shakes I'm like do they not watch any of my videos like what is going why are people doing this they don't even like it it's not even delicious not like protein ice cream in a blender some deliciousness Oh Chuck this back yeah build muscle no it's not helping it's not needed you don't need to do it so it's overrated it's not gonna hurt so it's not like bad it's just not beneficial it's overeating number one here it is folks this is the number one most overrated food that people eat to build muscle it is rice it's rice it has to be rice everyone thinks rice every movie star that loses weight on something they had rice chicken and broccoli right it's always rice and something else the other thing you need Bryce I love rice they need rice rice rice rice rice rice it's good it tastes good it's a simple car it's just like high glycemic curve it just carbs it's not like oh it's got tons of vitamins and tons of protein and tons of fiber and tons of nutrient it's just rice no magic to growth its calories it just adds calories is it better than oatmeal nope is it better than popcorn nope is it better than corn nope it's not better than almost anything it's just there same is like rice cakes I could have said rice rice case whatever rice puffs rice no it's not gonna help it's not needed stop eating all the rice its filler food it's just there it's kind of like if you eat jelly beans does it help it's filling you up it's got some calories there's other things that you can eat that are better so I don't suggest you all get excited eat rice have a potato have a sweet potato you don't need rice if you like it in Yin need it want it whatever it's good but don't over eat it don't think oh man I need rice I need this meal to be rice everyone sends me their diet plans and I'm like rice rice rice rice rice rice rice everyone eats rice why rice why you think that's better than french toast no why do you think rice is better than bread dipped in freakin egg whites it's is not rice so rice is my number one okay I mean we could have added some more in there I had there's some in there like cereal but I'm like now people don't think that I actually build it's not overrated it's like people eat it it's stupid but it's not overrated so there's my top ten overrated now here's the bonus cuz I didn't consider this food even though I was like oh it's BCA's BCAAs is protein is it helped to build muscle yes joonie BCA snow if you're at a surplus of calories you don't need it's not gonna like build more muscle it's overrated that's why is it bad for you no not bad at all do I drink them do I eat them yes all the freakin time do I need them no I just like it it tastes good it flavors my water it makes me drink more water water is good for you so the BCA's are helping me drink more water do I need this extra protein no do you think you need five grams of protein per pound of body weight there's no research showing that you need like one and a half grams of protein per pack one is plenty what is more than enough in a surplus okay we eat enough protein that's not the problem so you don't really need these BCA's if you're in a calorie deficit and you're dieting and you're an idiot fasting because you think that fasting helps you build more muscle because of your stupid reasons for example you think that oh I have more growth hormone because I don't eat 16 hours a day then you're just an idiot or you don't know how to read or interpret data that's all it's not your fault or being born with less intellect we can't blame you boom your parents playing their school teachers for not teaching a hard enough study harder they didn't say that they just passed you because they had to you pass you get a 50 never get a 50 in school used to be a teacher 50 means fail but they rounded it up shocking freaking Secrets Revealed of school teachers every one of you they got 50 you've failed 51 you probably passed 55th no one gets a 49 48 47 46 45 44 nope I tried to fail people with 46 principal round that off 250 if you're gonna fail them make it at least under a 44 put this mark
