well will it be double Danish delights this afternoon here in Birmingham because Danes involved to hit in the last final of the day the two-time former champions Matthias Boland cast a Morgenson up against Marcus finale Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Somalia well by quarter final stage there was only one seed left in the bottom half of the draw of Bowa mogensen and of course they have battled their way through to the final to take on the number one seeds and defending champions Gideon and shook them over this is the eunuchs holding little kilometer Championships 2018 men's doubles final [Applause] [Music] [Applause] formerly Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Somali Oh the defending champions trying to become the first to prepare to retain and defend their titles for 22 years since Ricky Sivaji Alexei monarchy won their second consecutive title in 1996 [Applause] [Music] the number two siege the two-time former champions Matthias Poe and carton morganson in their fourth appalling limb final today the veteran names and the last Danish pair or European pair to win three all england titles was the late earlier course bought won three consecutive titles but if the Dames could win today they would win there sir less the eighth's meeting between the team pairs as you can see the Indonesian have won the last including the final that was just 40 minutes for 2119 2111 but up there seven previous meetings this is the fourth time that they have met in the final painting for you and as far as results in finals when they played each other Indonesian Asst on two of the previous three [Applause] it's only the third time since the inception of the Super Series in 2007 that the number one and two seeds are in the men's doubles final here at New England Championships 2012 relates jung jae-sung go who died just prior to these aluminum championships with lee yong-dae the experimental then in 2014 a Sun and 31 meet indoor under Kevin Sanjaya Colonial 22 years of age mr. most end of in total won the title a year ago beating Leyland Kwai and de lu lu cheng a year ago 27 years of age now Marcus Vivaldi the Gideon born in Jakarta and they are contesting their ninth consecutive tournament final today in line till that's played looking for a sixth consecutive title the only trouble they hacked was in the second round against Malaysia on you synth and talking yes yesterday in the semi-final maybe the number six seeds the second consecutive semi-final for man's problem [Music] so two left Hanna Matthias was 37 years of age now and he was born in Maryland in his partner currently number two in the world ranking but they did spend a total of 68 weeks as world number ones Carsten Mogensen 34 and they have enjoyed success this year as well because they was Swiss in 2015 but they have been beaten in the final in 2010 they had a really tough second-round match where they had to save a match point to 2021 in the deciding game against seventeen-year-old some sailors or a turkey ready and sherrod Shetty of India [Music] [Applause] who knows less virus Orvil Apia on par for this one Stefan burn a whole France or service judge [Applause] [Music] no doubt in my mind that the Indonesians will try and play and a hundred and fifty miles an hour especially Kevin Sanjaya soup tamale oh do you think that's enough yeah I think you're right they're coming out they using [Music] [Applause] [Music] good morrow [Music] Oh the defending champions from Indonesia getting this final underway against the two times former champions [Applause] to pass [Applause] Quick Serve Super Mario okay so he's unbelievably quick and hard hitting as well and it's not just fleet of foot his quick rockets business like that seeds but to see the opportunity to [Applause] Neilsen or - go team venture [Applause] pressures great from the Indonesians here once again we see the favorite combination of Kevin at the front and gideon at the back and how quickly he intercepts at the net the whole time [Applause] short ladies as you said they come guns blazing ask us wide [Applause] Islam and strangely precision that Ronnie be amazing [Applause] never that's quite typical then I think they play so fast that you have no idea what's happening the next second list really lifting and you never know what's gonna happen and that's also the interesting part about this combination [Applause] the best concerns there from Alstom Olsen [Music] [Applause] our furry husband it's because there's a camera we touched it I'm not sure so just want to make sure that it's in the right position six three at the Racquet broke the frame broke when he was trying to reach for the shot [Applause] the IRS camera is a bit more so that this line is not right the tracking camera from her kite [Applause] his has just been moved slightly so the front service line there was no there we go yeah that's what I meant have you touched it yeah review service line [Applause] so and very steep the first three smashes and then suddenly the one was played up in the chest that one they're very clever [Applause] [Music] [Applause] now they have to but yes really have to take him take him on text him see what can what can be done if they if they're just standing lifting and they give all initiative away to to the two nations they've got no chance [Applause] [Music] camera however the truck in the cameras are all still working we'll be the instant review phone service on okay that's good [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I played that round the heads out shoulder-height [Music] these reflexes just fantastic [Applause] but I still think of the match when I I saw the two pairs play one another thinking with sewer Mankato last year in Australia yeah and it looked hopeless for the Danish combination they were under pressure the whole time they were attracted trading behind and but eventually they they got into the match and they sort of just hang on to it [Applause] third games it looked hopeless all the way so I think what they're not two-faced about what's going on at the moment [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] yes [Music] did you catch any of that morning yeah I did it's a lot of course in the return of serve and want to push it more to the sides while burning down the little trying to put a little bit pressure on there there's SSA they're not really faced by the situation and owed a little sits down but they okay never mind they have to work their way into it and they know it [Applause] there is also a clear message that obviously the effect to challenge Kevin at the fact [Applause] [Applause] crouchers they're on all these launches so you can drive the shuttle back again but as you mentioned I mean his reflexes have to be absolutely superb study twice in that rally yes I was lining the time in it and then you can get the end of it yeah [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] but that's that's where the block shots should come in or at least perhaps lift all the way to the baseline getting into this fight is very tricky for the Danes at the moment [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] many options but to play that that shot there well covered by Gideon [Applause] [Music] [Applause] it's definitely not impossible to close the gap after all despite it looks completely one-sided it's only 1410 [Music] [Applause] I was incredible defense from the tears ball I just wanna vent in it pay dividends this one [Applause] enjoy [Applause] 11:14 [Applause] [Music] [Applause] there's not the fact is the jokshan look at the pace of that drop shot yeah it's so fast [Applause] think the Danes are doing the right thing making sure that when nations are attacking they're attacking from the baseline and then waiting total counter opportunity serves over [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] apology is to one Senate never that's what I say is it keep it looking so one-sided I mean obvious your mesmerised but how fast and how well the Indonesian is the plan arrested only 1513 oh yeah [Applause] [Applause] - Gideon and the Danes back level the curtain [Applause] 16:15 [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] sacred challenge by Matias bowed on the suit Amalia super Modi was playing it long on the baseline but it was a very nice challenge on from matías birth [Applause] [Applause] there's a good shot [Music] [Applause] Jean started with a very big save Super Mario [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] you don't believe that [Applause] defensive shot from Super Mario he was going to play background action he let the shuttle go past him and then he used the forehand action look at that [Applause] it's just amazing no doubt that the Indonesians are playing the most spectacular but this just keeps dragging at it and working at it and Carsten is working very nicely very hard from the baseline it took a while but they got the point [Applause] fantastic men's doubles that is absolute best [Applause] 19:17 [Music] [Applause] my shorts [Applause] we must other women took the previous owners running 1890 [Applause] [Applause] service error it's to being a point to the different [Applause] [Music] we will devour cold it wasn't called and therefore it's deemed legal 21 minutes [Applause] washable oh yeah yeah peachy common [Applause] - then again hurts my skill combo to believe three minutes so far [Music] yeah the Danes are quite happy with how it is I know they lost the first game that as Carsten rightly said it was to start the really versus after that we were in there we're with them and things are good [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] it's so tempting to try to to pass him on that short one overhead but the two Indonesians are extremely fast especially on [Applause] so good on those sort of interceptions the reply there's a lot of pressure from Kevin on it yeah [Applause] push divine [Applause] [Music] [Applause] one of the things that we believe is such a a big swing or Mo's intersection this Alyssa's timing is perfect it will make a mistake but a yet again in there Matias bow is Aztec from the chasis challenging him on it yeah and he's getting away with it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] yeah somehow the games are just following adding on the points creating some pressure that creates some mistakes six four net cords made it very difficult for the donors there [Music] that's a good return in donations have been in successful playing some some block shots from summiteers bowl and move him in play please and then when he lifted then attack him again so it's difficult for him to get back into precision [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] it looks so easy this is the barrio and he just walks forward [Applause] Oh interesting 67 because we did it together Indonesian open he was brain mixed doubles with Gracie economist the question came through the qualifying [Music] in this round what year was that for Jane was 2014 so if they were Olympic champion Smith's that was the first time we saw him yeah [Applause] [Music] [Applause] there was a good example of that shot from the baseline forcing Matias forwards it's getting it quite loves for this trouble and then of course the interception or if the lift is coming then the next match will be on him as well yeah points snipers are there we begin to live so design from each of the Indonesian wares [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] so it is the walk would be advantage to to volunteer and [Applause] [Laughter] we are not to redeem arias in here the panic the government [Music] Newton as a fan of attention [Applause] in it [Applause] [Applause] really strong in around the head there and very very fast reactions I think the Danes have no choice that they have to challenge but gossipy trying to go to the size and not just around the head of Kevin that try to go to that midcourt area to the side [Applause] terrific [Applause] what will be interesting is that Gideon and Su kimonos day is like they choose the rally and say okay this rally will flow really fast when attacking the next one we lift can you imagine in this rally that they have played this defensive work and they really work there ponens and then suddenly they change it around and go for the attack would you be scared if you were the opponents I would yeah - at least it at least now they know what's coming back and yes they will keep lifting it because this this sort of a designated rally for that so you think they ought to change up the style within the rallies within the rally as well [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] no constraints still matter Sue Ann Veronica [Applause] right 17:11 [Applause] his phone call - hi [Applause] he did lift his arm didn't days he hit that he did but of course it's impossible for us to judge whether that's one one five or not yeah cool that banana window we managed to do that [Applause] they said the Seraph Onizuka Mallya preferred in total for the reasons [Applause] [Applause] mr. too fat way longer to that line and it's back level it's 14 or [Applause] [Applause] mattias just perhaps of the way Carsten got the shot that's the one in vain good block shot hereby given [Applause] [Applause] very animated indeed [Applause] they would also like to travel home to Jakarta with one title I'm sure [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] somehow you feel the Indonesians are having a small edge here they're always the one runs and the Danish catching up they change it now [Applause] [Music] mattias knows that [Music] speak [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] he's happy with that his world covered the nets playing the net shot staying in making sure he can't get away with that cheeky shot [Applause] [Music] it's just white goo they're challenging as challenge is this soil [Applause] ouch hope guys to say you're right the challenge at this stage of the match [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] once again crouching down on his haunches as quickly as it was coming at him we points away for a second consecutive title [Applause] match point opportunities three of them for the world number one experience and so family Oh [Applause] to finish the kill from the given Sanjaya soup colonial a wonderful performance [Applause] and they become the first wins doubles per foot 22 years to retain and with that win [Applause] five titles here at the All England Championships issue one two players different nations and that's only the full time that that has happened in the hunter v8 history of the All England Championships 21 18 21 17 the margin of the victory to the world number one smartest for now the idiot and Kevin's and Giants of the Moriarty [Music] now this the final rally try to look how quickly he gets to the neck here look at this he's there even before the shot is played he is standing there waiting for it [Applause] and there's the delight not only for the players but for the coach as well so the winners absolutely delighted let's go down courtside and hear their source let's get a word with Marcus fennel - Gideon Kevin Sanjaya suka vulture of Indonesia the men's doubles champions here are the eunuchs All England Marcus can you quite believe the runner on such a win here last year seven major titles later a win today makes eight secretly and when Eric Katya sat at lower biasa say Jack Amina hallelu the All England through Koran the Sira supply through done Harini a couple upon a pioneer AHA see onion salmon area full way Martin Canada India Indonesia a poor Italian hate idea Valley it's actually our pan made it might there are two more after that so the secret is basically we just want to do the best that we can well you said yachts off of the game at the rival boys how special Kevin is the yonex call England to you in the cabin pass the new names are not special which is adult romantic XE to employ yeah [Applause] [Laughter] it's one of the oldest in the world the most historic and a lot of Indonesian fans here so I'm always happy to play in Oregon I finally let's just talk about those fans Marcus Kevin what about these crazy fans you have what can you say about them yeah I'm Agassi Vanya [Applause] thank you so much for coming all the way here to support us I'm really happy to be able to give this victory to every one of you well that's a fantastic tribulus here in the marcus phenolic area Kevin said Jessica mojo [Applause] so something is up beautifully this historic tournament the history makes it so so special [Applause] [Music] six consecutive title second it's great last time they failed to reach the final was the world championships last year indonesian s-- and 22 years since the last men's doubles pair managed to successfully defend their title for achievement and they also do it very much in the style great to watch isn't it maybe not for you Morton because you're a day it is great to work likely painful now I think the two boys they did well they did was proud they fought hard they were not far from of course it's much more spectacular how the Indonesians are playing but I think it was very respectable scores and they were closer than water so great when we have a mix of players from various different countries winning the titles and the ecstasy the place all in the anguish for the Danes and the Danish fans performance by the England open badminton championship men's doubles winners from Indonesia mortis parolee Gilligan by killing such a tsukamoto Marcus finale Gideon and Kevin's and Giants took emolia [Applause] their results and a sixth consecutive title in tournaments played and suggests they are head and shoulders above the rest very fitting that bwf president fool Eric Hoya making the presentation there to Gideon and super polio because the last time the two men's doubles pair defended their All England titles singles titles [Music] thank you again to our presentation party [Music] congratulations [Applause] what a great finish to a great day they pose for the championships and it really is great but for only a full time [Music] five different nations yes I agree I think it's been fantastic a few matches are really standing out for me I think the women's 200 state finals they take PV Sindhu and then Yamaguchi that was that was really a good match I think the mixed doubles thing we finally the Danes yesterday there was awesome but what's really really standing out for me is the mix that was winners from Japan yeah they were incredible and they have rewritten the history books Yuto Watanabe and Risa either she no the first ever mixed doubles pair from Japan to win a title at this level this title for the Indonesian so is their 15th within their partnership and I'm quite certain they'll be more to come there the photographer saw what the champions to look their way hugely entertaining pair of Gideon and silk Emilio so as they take their lap of Honor just an opportunity for us to recap on finals day and you too Watanabe becoming the first male player from Japan to win a title here at All England Championships and he did it in the mixed doubles with our recent because she knows I'm seated they beat the pair that had been in their sixth tournament final in six tournaments together qianxi way and one yoshi on when they did it in an hour and two minutes coming from a game deficit been tae soo Jung last year's champion became the first player in 11 years to win the women's singles title two consecutive years running she had to save the game point at at 19 20 in that opening game but was very convincing in the second against a carnie Yamaguchi she hoochie went one better than last year where he lost in the final to Lee Chong Wei this year he beats another great Lin Dan and it was a force win in four days against former world number ones when he beat Linden as you can see very very convincingly in that deciding game then it was women's doubles and the 53 weights since year wait since the day NAT last Danish pair won an All England title it been 37 years since the last European pair won the All England women's doubles title it was absolute delight because you'll and Pettersen have been silver medalists at both world championships and Olympic Games finally they win the big gold and they did it in two straight games and as we've just seen in the men's doubles Gideon and tsukumo leo in their ninth consecutive final in tournaments played took their sixth consecutive title against the two-time former champions bowl and Mogensen defending their title and the first to do that the Indonesians for 22 years there they are well they will be celebrating tonight they've put grapes themselves in the Indonesian flag we really have had a terrific week
