Master Leonardo.ai: The Ultimate Guide to Unlocking AI's Full Potential

[Music] so today I'm going to show you how to use Leonardo AI I'm going to cover everything so this is going to go really fast so I'm going to start by saying right now February 2024 they are currently giving away 1 15 credits every day on a free account so I don't know if that's going to last because this is so powerful I can't imagine people not wanting to pay for this so that's probably going to change but for now it's a very very generous amount of credits so this is your home screen so once you create your account like you've created thousands of other accounts you're going to land on the homepage which has um links here and it has links here so these five links are the same as those five links and then these are images that other people in the community have created and so so you can go through and look at those if you find one you like you can actually see the prompt they used and any kind of special features that they used it tells you every single thing about it including the seed so technically you could get this exact image yourself if you use the seed and the prompt however you can take it from here it too because it's part of the community which means it's pretty much public domain anyone can use these images so you can actually take images right here from this screen if you need something okay now this is the Community Feed which is basically just what I showed you and the only difference here is we don't have those quick buttons up here so I I don't really know why they have two different pages like that because that is the only difference I've noticed this is your personal feed so this is where all of yours are that you have generated these are ones that you have upscaled meaning you have increased the quality to get a higher quality download and here are ones that you have created that are videos yes you can do videos on here too and that's part of the free credits too but it kind of uses up a lot of them this is one of the coolest features and this is going to be great for brands that want to tailor all of their images in a certain Style with a certain color palette basically you can upload your own data set of images so so you upload them and then that style is going to be copied when you choose to use that training set when you're generating images which I'll show you how to do here in a moment here are fine-tuned models so if you want to know more about the different training sets that Leonardo AI offers you can go here and look at them so for example if you are really wanting to do vintage style images this model would be the best because it is really tailored for that look and feel so you can go through like for example this is Anime pastel dream if this is the look you're going for use this model cuz it it it's structured to fit for that if you aren't sure what you want then you can just I just use this one a lot Leonardo diffusion XL um let me tell you something else these ones that are that say Alchemy on them those are new engines that they have and those actually cost you more credits so you I'll show you that again here in a minute Community models these are training data sets that people have created and shared with the community so uh they have their own Styles here that people have created this one looks pretty funny um okay then these are your models that you have created under training and data set so you've created your Mo models and then if you have favorite models you can find them here this is just where you can go and learn about them so if you need a refresher on what the model does you can go here to learn about it okay here's where you generate images so let's say I mean we all love dogs and clothes um dog and Tuxedo okay let's see what we get you can see here it's going to cost me eight credits and the reason is because I had preset it on Leonardo Kino on this one you can see it's an it's an Alchemy feature so it costs me more but if I used instead dream shaper it will only cost me four credits cuz that's one of their old models and so they it's cheaper to do that here I can choose different styles honestly every time I choose this um they only have two options none in Leonardo so that must be something that is unique to the different models and then elements are where you can add extra little features it's just like an extra little bit of spice you can add and you don't have to choose these either it looks like I have three of them selected by default and those are shown here okay now in this case these particular elements that I have used many times so they're on there by default are not compatible with this particular model so they have U shown me that like too bad you can't use it but let me show you what it looks like when we choose one that we can use so we'll try this one confirm whenever you choose an element it will show up here where you can make some adjustments so if you change your mind at the last minute and you just want to shut it off you can here's where you can adjust the weight this is how much influence that particular style will have on your final image so obviously if we say a weight of two we're really wanting it to be in this style so that makes it stronger okay uh let's just try this I want you to see it in action so let me just get to the point right I keep kind of keep going on and on and it it takes a moment to actually generate so let me tell you something else while we're waiting this right here is called a negative prompt and a negative prompt is what you absolutely do not want so for example it's possible that every time I do dog and Tuxedo I get one wearing a about tie and maybe I absolutely do not want a bow tie so I would say in here bow tie is something I absolutely do not want I'll go ahead and just leave that in here so here are the images that I got very cute let's say this is too simple and you want to get something that's like fancy you can do the dice and the dice has two options you can either get a new random prompt like hey surprise me or you can just improve this prompt you're currently using I'm just going to improve the prompt let's see what they have now you can see they give me quite a bit more information here to describe that image and so it is going to generate some more of course and while we're waiting let me show you what it looks like if we just get a new random prompt so it this is completely different this is a um looks like a haunted something or other we'll generate that one too so here we have this one that is based on the prompt that they gave me so let me show you something else you can get you can use an image to guide this creation so here's an example I've uploaded an image and I want my image generation to follow this style and color and here I can also adjust the strength so how how strong that is in my generation so I'm going to do this time a cat in a fancy suit oh no that's what I don't want I need this to go up here I won't have a negative prompt I'll shut that off and we will generate that okay so notice it's the image that's because I turned the strength up so high that it ended up just making that image again let's turn it down so we only want a little bit of influence so the strength you can see the strength is a very uh powerful tool there for influencing your prompts okay and so here we go but you can see it follows that kind of theme so you can do some different upscale in here you can download it as is you can create a video from it which I'll show you how to do that here in a minute you can upscale it to get a higher quality you can edit it in the canvas editor which I'll show you here in a moment and you can delete it if you want to now let me show you up here what you can do you can generate it again to get some get something new but similar but you can look at the generation info so this tells you what your prompt was and it tells you everything about it that would be seen on the Community page it's the exact same thing and it will give you your seed number if you don't know about seed numbers yet the seed is kind of your starting bit of noise that the image is made from so that seed plays a big role in how the image finally looks so sometimes if you use the same seed with different prompts you will still get a similar Style that is the importance of seeds if you want to know more about that I have a video coming out soon on the diffusion model and how it works so you can learn more about that and I also sell a book store check that out if you if you're interested in that okay now all right so I was going to show you this generate motion video so just you see it cost me 25 credits to generate this video it's it's pricey but they turn out pretty cool now they're only going to be 4 seconds long and that's seems to be standard on the video generators um canva magic media has a video generator as well and it is also limited to 4 seconds so I feel like that's not long enough to produce a video that I actually want to use but um it is what it is okay so there you go there's the movement and that's pretty cool actually I don't mind that one all right now one more thing I want to show you while we're here is prompt generation so this tool will help you to develop better prompts so let's say I want a cat in the style of Lisa Frank and it's going to give me some prompt ideas to get something that's pretty cool so you can WR from right in this screen you can choose to generate so I'm just going to go ahead and generate one of those uh but that is a pretty nice tool so they're using a language model to help you write better prompt right here in Leonardo AI so there you go you'll notice that yes it looks a lot like these because this was an image I also generated in the style of Lisa Frank okay that's really all I want to show you there now over here you see you've got all of these options this can be very overwhelming don't be overwhelmed okay you don't even have to use this stuff over here here's some things you can do you can change the number of images that generated that can save you on credits so say you want to reduce it to two you can do photo real which is simply going to ensure you get a really good photo when you choose that it locks down the engines and well it it CHS the engine for me here and it locks it down and then you can go through and make some other adjustments so you notice it's kind of like a one in all if you're going to use Photo real you got to turn on Alchemy and I'm assuming Alchemy must be some like something Advanced that applies to all of those models I don't know what that is but it's something good okay that's all I know uh you can shut cut off your public images if you have a paid account otherwise they're all public you can change the dimensions of your input image so if this is a larger value it's going to just take more processing time you can change the size of the outputs of your image and the guidance scale is how closely the image generator follows your prompt and you really don't want this very high because you're really looking for creativity I mean that's why we're using the image generator because we want something new that surprises us that's artistic and beautiful so we really don't want it to follow our prompt exactly we want that flexibility that's where you're going to get the creativity so I just leave this at 7 you can do tiling if you're going to do patterns that are going to repeat and that way you can take an image well actually just let me show you let's leave tiling on and let's do um dogs playing poker and that's costing me 26 credits because I turned on this special photo generator but that's okay I get 150 a day so I'll come back tomorrow if I need anything and remember I did change the size of my output and so that's why these images are of a different size than these other ones that I've generated you will want different sizes depending on your social media output so for example if you're using Pinterest this is probably a pretty good size if these are images you're going to use on a video then you probably want this size you can take any of these images and stack them side by side and they are going to form a pattern I just I really think this is better just that you see it because um it'll just make more sense okay so see you can stack them well it needs to be a little bit closer and it's going to form a pattern so you could do wallpapers wrapping paper material advanced settings you can use a fixed seed so I mentioned the seed if you want to start with a specific seed number you can specify that here you can also adjust the scheduler on some of the models which determines how many sub noise subtractions the model does to that seed before it gives you your final image the more the higher the schedule or the more steps the better the image okay now let's get out of here that's your generator okay let me show you the real-time canvas because this is absolutely awesome okay so let's say I'm doing interior design so I'm going to set the stage here and then you take this and you just kind of draw and it's going to interpret what it is you're trying to draw o okay so it's done this highlighted ramps on both sides okay now it's changed it into a couch now I want a picture up here oh it's changed it into some stairs let me change this color so when you change the color you will change the palette of what is being drawn so you see how it's lightened up so that's all I'm going to show you there because really that's all it takes to understand this I mean it's pretty amazing you can choose different styles here so let's do a sketch actually so that's what it would look like as a sketch and I mean you just keep adding stuff and it just does something new and it's just fun honestly right now this is just a toy for me I don't know how it could be a tool honestly I'm not sure what the real application of this would be other than it's just really fun okay this one is even better so over here you have some elements that you can use right now they're all set to zero but I could increase that or decrease it decrease it means you absolutely do not want it you can choose the type of output you want and you can choose whether it's a random seed or if you assign your seed okay girl running you can see how these words influence what is happening got to learn how to spell here I mean you almost like see this story happening before your very eyes I mean it's just fun it's just fun this is such a toy to play with and I know it can be a tool in your work to to do something amazing um I guess you know you can kind of like go backwards no it's actually changing it I think I think maybe we can get back to our original yeah so I guess you can see how it changes and then go backtrack to what you prefer amazing okay this is the canvas editor and honestly it is my least favorite tool honestly I think it's the easiest to use and that's always a problem for me because easy means I don't understand it for some reason I don't know why let me just show you a few things you can pan just to get this where you want to work on it this is where you can move this window this is the window of where the edits will happen and this is where you can draw masks you can do you can erase which see I'm not getting that because it doesn't erase so I I'm not sure what that means and there's also tools up here you can draw on it you can add text you can add other images over here you can change your engine or your models I call them engines a lot over here you can change your model because see you can generate stuff here and and I mean I guess this is a way to just add additional features I've had trouble getting them to blend and I'll show you what I think my error is and for those of you in graphic design you're probably going to look at this and be like are you kidding this is so easy but over here oh so when it does it you got to accept before you can do anything else okay over here you can change your canvas mode so I know this is like something really really important it seems to me like the text to image is identical to the you know the real- time drawing board so I feel like some of the tools that you can do in other places are merged here um and and I don't understand why that would need to be the case but I know if you're a graphic designer this is going to be very useful for you you're going to understand what this means and what what this would be good for I mean sketch to image I can see where you could upload your sketch and turn it into an image that makes sense U but just when I play around with it I I have not found it to be useful I know it is I but I can't show you how it is because I don't know texture generation if you have 3D objects you can add textures to them which I did on this one no this is not impressive because I didn't actually try very hard I just uploaded a 3D object and added a texture if you work in 3D I'm sure this would be of Incredible use to you you can get an API to connect it to your website or to other things that you're using your settings that's where you you can get your user API if you're using that and you can do your account management there nothing special there and here's your help page where you can go and get started but remember I have a book on my Etsy store and I'm just going to show you real fast you made it this far so might as well just show you there it has like all of this information in a manual format it has cheat sheets for image prompting and for chat GPT prompting um it has you know examples of images with prompts and kind of what different things mean one of my favorite things is the camera settings because if you don't if you're not familiar with photography you don't know that there's these different effects you can do
