Magician REACTS to Eric Chien in the FINALS on Asia’s Got Talent 2019

[Music] cue the intro [Music] [Applause] [Music] hello everybody welcome back my name is Jason Parker in today we are looking at Eric Chien perform in the finals of Asia's Got Talent he performs really amazing sleight of hand magic and ties it together with a beautiful storyline many people were already familiar with his ribbon act from last time because he used it to win fizzle but this time he's gonna come up with something new and I'm excited to see what it is so let's get started it's got a cool jacket the first time he was wearing something rather casual the second time it was that more formal vest which he uses in the ribbon act and now it's like super cool party jacket now judges may I join your table oh yeah like I saw men doing magic for 10 years now and I've only been doing it professionally for the past 3 years and it's all thanks to these ones right here as you guys can see over here I have a server coin and a corporate point Jay Park can I borrow your hand yes you may but waste down the perfect you're gonna hold on to one of the coins for me just make a fist perfect tool to tighten now watch oh I have the comfortable watch very closely [Music] right now have the silver okay turn your hand over and you have the copper now that reminds me of some magician tricks I've seen before but I'm not exactly sure what he did there because the way he was holding it and then he showed both sides so yeah I'm not sure what he did there I've been creating magic for the past 10 years and you guys know what the most important thing to creating magic is love it's actually very imagination imagine a good night I want to bring everyone to see my imagination by now today I actually need someone's help any volunteers deathly silence how about Alan get over Holly hello ever see hello I will round of applause for Alan round applause yeah now uh do you like chocolate I love chocolate perfect you're gonna love this then what would he upset if he was like no I have a chocolate allergy I hate chocolate perfect well I've got a trick about chocolate but uh just stay with me okay are you ready yes perfect let's go [Music] okay the ball looked empty and those all look like individual pieces real chocolate [Music] [Applause] here Ellen can you mix up the cube for me yeah okay I think most magicians who are watching this would see what he did there but I think it's a really cool concept and I like these colorful M&Ms changing to a Rubik's Cube so it's really a UH it's creative and it's fun let's keep going perfect now let's go place both of your hands out like this don't you hold on to my hand and cover the cube like this okay [Music] there's nothing in there I'm pretty sure [Music] nice I just jumped out of nowhere [Music] you see all six sides completely solved okay a couple of things first off it seems like the cameraman is on his side this time which is awesome not like the last performance when he was cutting just at all the wrong moments in fact in this situation the cameraman is really on his side because I noticed he cut to the judges and came back at a key moment I don't really want to say anything cuz I don't like to spoil magic tricks but at the same time I want to be able to discuss this with you ah suffice it to say I think it would have been really interesting for magicians to be able to see an uncut shot at that moment when they went right to the judges and came back to him second that move where he solves the Rubik's Cube in the air I've seen magicians doing this kind of thing before and I believe it has to do with some kind of small setup as well as actual finger dexterity of moving things really quick so that definitely requires some skill to make it look so magical anyway let's continue on not only that though remember the cubes you mixed up in your hands the whole time the hands and show everyone your cue all six sides I like Alan's reaction I've already had one more time yeah don't you watch the cubes watch the cubes very very carefully because I can actually turn them back into chocolate nice you see this is let's say visual oh thank you so much his mind has been belong [Applause] I was more big dramatic ending I don't know if you saw that but a piece of confetti landed in his mouth I wonder if that tasted like chocolate or Rubik's cubes [Applause] I point up here it's still raining confetti Wow Wow J alright before we hear what the judges have to say let's discuss okay first off I love Eric Chen I think he's got a beautiful creative mind and I enjoyed watching this performance second off that I think this was his best performance of this season not really I kind of preferred his original coin act and even the ribbon act I thought was a little more strong it's just that I've seen a lot of magicians over the last years doing Rubik's Cube magic and so several of these tricks I've already seen before the solving the cube in the air the throwing it onto the table and having candy appear I'm not saying every trick he does has to be brand new and actually he did create a whole nice routine to tie it all together but somehow I just felt it wasn't quite as strong as his previous acts I kind of wished that he would have focused a little bit more on sleight of hand like he did on his first and second performances he's clearly very good at it the coin in fact he did at the very beginning did fool me though I had an idea maybe he was flipping them over but one of them he showed on both sides so unless it's some special coin I really don't know how he did that as far as the small cube that he had Allen put his hands on and then it was solved and later he changed it into a small cube of candy well I don't want to say too much let's just table the conversation but anyway I really enjoyed watching his act it's cool how all of his performances have the story arc this starts in one place it goes somewhere and then it comes back he started with just candy they became Rubik's cubes and then they were candy again and then confetti the confetti was the surprise ending smash like if you'd like the confetti actually smash like if this act made you hungry I had to go eat some M&Ms after watching this anyway it was colorful and fun and creative and I'll look forward to anything Eric Chen has to offer us in the future let's see what the judges had to say I have no words I'm awestruck I forgot to put in my ear pod excuse me yeah I feel like you could turn me into M&Ms I really do - wow that was amazing I've never seen anybody use chocolate as a you know as a trip like a magic before I was this amazing brother it was amazing he's at a loss for words on goon I'm still tripping out I need you to say something now you know Eric with my golden buzzer you're actually the other performer that I was really really looking forward to watch perform and tonight you know I see it's just that because I don't know what you're going to do next you know every time every single second as you said if I blink I will miss it and so I tried so hard not to blink again I said it once I said it again you didn't do magic trick for me you are magic thank you I agree that magic enthusiast your thoughts as a hack amateur magician I mean obviously I loved it and you know what all over the planet right now everywhere in the world magic is on everybody's minds if you notice in every continent magic is becoming this big thing in 2019 and we have it right here that's kind of true and we have Asia's best and I'm telling you you Eric could potentially and voters at home pay close attention you potentially could win this entire yeah I hope so all right Eric I have a question tell us how you did it no no I'm just kidding watching you man my mind lost touch with reality I want to know what does it feel like to be able to do that to someone you know everything I create I want people to have that sense of wonder again because as we grow older we kind of lost touch of you know the magic kind of so if people start stopped believing in magic and I hope my performance can bring that wonder back into your life kind of like a Paul Harris approach not even joking Asia if you agree that Eric has what it takes to be crowned winner of Asia's Got Talent get online and votes go to Google so yeah remember to vote vote if you want him to win that would be great if you want aegis Got Talent I heard rumors that he might be on America's Got Talent this summer I don't know not confirmed Illuminati confirmed but that would be really cool anyway comment
