Loving JAKARTA'S Amazing MALLS

good morning guys for another beautiful day here in jakarta indonesia i'm just heading out of my apartment block right now and i'm heading to a nearby shopping mall which is actually just across the street and i'm hoping i can find some breakfast and something to eat here and i also need to do a little bit of shopping well it's very loud here i need to do a little bit of shopping because the clothes that i brought are very good for like valley like valley clothes but i think in jakarta they're a little bit more conservative so i feel i need to buy some clothes that cover up my shoulders and my legs a little bit more so yeah i'm going to do a little bit of shopping and get some breakfast and just check out to see what these malls here in jakarta are all about mascon where i'm staying is in west jakarta and it is super close to this really large mall as you can see behind me here that entire building is a mall and it is called taman angrek mall i believe it is one of the biggest malls here in jakarta maybe even one of the biggest in indonesia so there should be a lot of shops in here [Music] i've just gotten inside and one of the best things about the malls here is that the air con is on really high and obviously it's super hot outside and it's lovely and cool inside yeah this is huge there's like seven different levels i can already see a starbucks so i might go get a coffee there but i also need to find something niche i don't really like the food in starbucks i need to find like a little cafe or some sort of breakfast food [Music] to be honest guys i often feel bad about going to starbucks when i'm in you know asia or places where you can get potentially better coffee or go to more local authentic coffee shops but sometimes it's the best option and yeah i really needed a coffee so just got myself a nice latte [Music] oh my god you guys all my shopping dreams have just come true as i've just realized one of my favorite makeup stores in the world is here in this mall sephora oh my god i'm totally gonna go in there [Music] okay guys so i've picked out a few things here in sephora uh you can see my basket so definitely need some new makeup and it's very difficult to find in valley so getting some highlighter some eyeshadows and some lipstick and some new foundation [Music] it's pretty successful so far got my stuff in sephora and in nature republic keep shopping cheesy chicken ham and egg thick toast but except okay breakfast has finally arrived i got this kind of toast thing it's got like egg and chicken and cheese you guys can see that hopefully it's good [Music] um [Music] so while most shops here are open there's definitely quite a few that seem to be closed off or bordered up and i think that's because of covid and the fact that i mean a lot of people aren't shopping anymore there aren't tourists coming to the city see another one here it's kind of boarded up but all the main ones are open this seems to be just one corridor where there's quite a lot in that opening [Music] okay i definitely do not need to buy any more makeup or beauty products i've got nature republic body shop sephora but i have just spotted a forever 21 which is a really nice clothes store there's also a uniqlo maybe an h m somewhere so i'm going to see if i can pick up a few maybe some trousers and some t-shirts this is [Music] so guys i think i have done enough damage for one day and now i am walking across this new pretty cool looking sky bridge so i'm currently checking out the sky bridge that connects um taman angerec mall with the apartment places where i'm actually staying sky bridge is super cool really nice views out of dakota yeah that is super cool we'll take this off for a second that is super cool i literally left the japanese mall which is over there and now i'm going to be able to walk to my apartment complex you can see the cool grass area i'll give you guys a full tour of my apartment block in another video um but yeah i'm super happy with all the shopping that i did so i'm going to put all the bags back in my apartment before i go out to explore more of jakarta so here you can see the outdoor swimming pool as part of the taman angry residences so beautifully landscaped with all these trees everywhere green area with playgrounds this is the airbridge to the shopping mall so here you can see all the different floors you need an access card in order to use the elevator you just tap it and then you click what floor you're going to you
