[Music] [Applause] [Music] good morning let's get hooked on to the eb we're going to run some cattle down to the cell yard in marana it'll be a big load i think there's 30 head this is like a 20 nine foot trailer luckily they're some calves or we wouldn't be able to haul them all okay we've got the trailer all opened up i'm gonna put two two bulls and a big steer right here i'm gonna put uh heifer calves right here and i'm gonna put bull calves on the back [Music] [Music] check it out lots of room now we'll put those heifers right here on the back okay here we go we're loaded it's not too huge of a load it's a pretty good one but it's not like it's not like this got this truck squatting down with the nose in the air good thing i've got this good eb trailer lightweight and stout and can haul lots of livestock [Music] we are going to jump out right here and make sure everything's standing up i'm sure they are but we're gonna just take a quick little look [Music] all right guys we got our stuff delivered here to the cell barn and we are actually going to roll on out of here it's going to be a while before they get our stuff sold and really us being here is not going to change the outcome of what happens with our stuff going through the cell ring it would be nice to sit here and watch but i've been here a little while yet just uh checking things out and uh it's gonna still be a couple hours it's already getting along into the afternoon so i'm gonna head back up to the rancho where i can maybe get a little something done up there today [Music] okay we're back at the rancho looks like keith has all of the chores done cattle are fed got hay out for these other cattle cattle over there just lounging around enjoying themselves so with that being said i'm gonna load oh maybe four bags of cake and we'll go down here and cake those little fat cows that we had in the crow yesterday that's how we keep them fat we keep them fed hey so i know one of our last videos the title was the last of the corinnis but actually we are going to be in the coriander business with this little set of cows right here for just a little bit longer because all of these cows maybe not all of them but the majority of them are going to have a cory andy baby and uh they're they're a year away from being big enough to be roped there's a steer we were looking for yesterday that's in with these cows and then that is that's a heifer so we're all right there anyway i think there's two stairs in here we're gonna feed these cows a little [Applause] cake [Music] [Applause] hey um [Music] so [Music] [Music] do [Music] i've been trying something new that is putting my truck in four low dropping it in gear and just finding a good flat spot and just letting it roll through there without anybody driving it occasionally i'll push down on the park brake just a notch or two to slow the trunk down a little bit you have to be real careful doing this so that you don't get ran over but then i'll jump up on the bed and string this cake along it it lets you string it a little bit further and kind of spread these cows out to where they're not just hooking each other all the time trying to eat seem to work a little bit better especially down here on the desert where the ground's real flat you have to be careful not to run over uh too much brush you could put a piece of a stick through your tire but as you can see it was pretty good down through here today here's all the babies they got left behind back here [Music] [Music] that is probably our last crop of coriander babies right there because we had cory indy bulls on these first calf heifers and as you can see now we've we've put a charlotte bull in here with them so anything that's getting bred back now after it's had a baby is going to be bred to charolais bull and then any of these heifers that didn't get bred by the corey andy bulls which they should have there were only like uh 52 i think heifers in here and we had two coriander bulls on them so they should have got the job done but this white bull right here will clean anything up that didn't get bred so the next set of babies coming out of this little batch of cows will be crossbred babies [Music] i know i've said it before but i really like how feeding cake to these cows is has gentled these cows down made it to where you can just kind of walk through them like this and they don't just head for the hills or run to the brush whenever they see or hear you coming which on this big old wild desert has kind of been the case with these cows for a lot of years but feeding this cake has certainly kind of broke these cows to where they're a lot gentler than they used to be i really like it nothing like having some good gentle cows [Music] [Music] [Music] there's some pretty nice cows in here really that brown cow right there's a really nice cow those two black cows aren't too bad the one on the other side's better i like this cow right here a lot looking at us straight on that's a pretty nice little cow right there [Music] there's another one that's a nice little brown cow right there [Music] i think she's actually about to have a calf there's gonna be quite a few of these still uh still cabin there's another little cow right here that i think is about ready to calve [Music] um we have a couple of steers in here that don't belong in
