Truckin' in Ol' Blue

[Music] so hey i know you can't see him but kyle is up there in front of me we left we left about the same time he came he came by the end of my road about the time i was pulling out and so we are both headed to the same place he's hauling hay in and i'm hauling cattle out [Music] all right so kyle's gonna pull right over there where they're gonna unload his hay and uh i am i'm going to pull around here and back up to this loading chute this is our first line of defense down inside there here they come it's always hard to get the first one to step inside the trailer [Music] so so [Music] it's a little icy as you're gonna see right here so so [Music] hey have you ever heard of those little towns that people say if you blink twice when you go through it you're going to miss it well that's kind of what this little town right here is like this is concho arizona all right don't blink because we're about ready to we're about ready to go through it about it flake you got your radio there it is we're through it somebody's hollering at me on the radio there's a pretty good looking hay truck right there they just got done delivering up here i'll let you lead the way oh go ahead you're gonna be a lot faster than me for some reason it's not it doesn't have anything to do with the rebuild because my jake brakes had lost a little strength before my motor went out and uh i guess i need to have my jakes rebuilt but anyway i'm just easing off into this canyon i'm in a about a year lower than what i would normally take this canyon in just because i don't want to i don't want to get my brakes warmed up this canyon has uh claimed a lot of good truck drivers lives or maybe not good i don't know a lot of guys that have kind of maybe taken it a little bit too fast down through here i'm just going to take it easy i've got some cars behind me but they are just going to have to chill out back there [Music] if it takes 15 more minutes to get to the bottom of this canyon than it normally would well so be it that's just the way it's going to be [Music] all right pulling out the other side of the canyon i would always lots rather pull out of this canyon and go in it we got the hard part tackled [Music] hey check this out for those of you that like trucks and uh for those of you that understand manifold pressure this right here is pretty good for a b model check this out before the rebuild all i could get was about 29 30 maybe 31 pounds of manifold pressure and now i pull like uh 40. good job pdi all right so matt the guy that owns this place copperstar farms the name of the place he's got a prior engagement tonight that he has to be to so i was wanting him to give me the the five minute tour of the five dollar tour but we'll have to get that another time when we come down i'm sure we'll be bringing some other cattle down here but i just thought real quick i'd just give you a little shot of uh what they do they have a capacity here you know it's not rocket science but they have a capacity here of about uh 2500 head of cattle and he says they have about a thousand in here right now but here's some of the cattle that are here big nice pins dry climate for the most part down here uh gets pretty warm in the daytime for the most part and these cattle are happy and content as you can see right here here's the there's a little bit of a feed mix that these cattle are on this would probably be the starter mix starter ration that these cattle are eating right here anyway the heifers that i just hauled in they're running them across the scale over there catching a entry weight on them just so they can kind of track their uh progress i don't know how long those cattle will stay here but in visiting with him they do anything from just background and cattle here warming them up getting ready getting them ready to go to a another feed yard or they have a ration where they feed cattle and kind of finish them right here so just about whatever you want to do they go nice pins i don't know how long this has been here or who even built this but it's a pretty nice yard for a little little background grow yard all right let's uh get back in the blue truck and head to the house so so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Music] then [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you
