PS4 and Xbox One players are ruining the current gen consoles and gaming now I don't want to be pointing fingers at anyone for not upgrading from the PS4 and the Xbox one we have great games like fortnite or war zone which are still free to play and available on all those other platforms and everything like that but just remember that you yes you are holding back the entire medium for all of us Mr bang bang banana 24795 yeah I know who you are I'm like what do you say me for now I can already see you heading into the comments to call me out and say I'm out of touch and people can buy whatever they want but what if I told you we finally have the answers that we've been asking over the last few years questions like why are game prices increasing why is development so much more expensive now why do the current gen consoles feel so lacking why are we still putting games on the previous gen consoles and a really big one why do Publishers do exclusivity that last one might not feel like it's connected to the others but guess what we have learned a ton of information in the last 48 hours and we got to talk about it for those of you who might have missed it it's been reported that over half of the PSN users in 2024 are still over on the previous gen console aka the PS4 as of April this year which is by the way almost 4 years into the current gen consoles life we don't have numbers for Xbox since they stopped reporting those numbers a long time ago but we can assume it's probably around the same I mean Xbox has always had a play Anywhere mentality so it does make sense then literally two days ago yes two days ago as of May 26 2024 we found this Twitter thread by an ex-director of business at Square Enix Holdings who basically open the floodgates to questions that I mentioned above it is a real eye opener and paints a very clear picture of what the current games industry is and it's actually forcing everyone here to answer this question will things ever get better for Developers for consumers and just for everyone in general in the gaming industry well it's about damn time we find out I'm tal with direct gaming and here's our Deep dive into the future of games in the gaming industry hope you enjoy now to start this video off I have a very quick question for you the viewer is this right now the worst console generation ever well if you looked on social media and other websites God help your soul that would seem to be the case from comments like there are just no games too there is nothing different between last gen and current gen and of course my personal favorite where are the exclusives you would think gaming is all but dead and while that can be a topic for a different video I want to focus on the current gen consoles of gaming and what is going on why are we seeing articles like this saying that over half the users in one ecosystem have not advanced in the next System since the beginning of consoles themselves it's been pretty normal to advance to the next gen console over time not all at once obviously but over time a majority of people do not to say that we simply throw away our old consoles or anything like that but with things like more games releasing and price drops a majority of players do find themselves moving over to the next system eventually but why not now what is it about the PS5 in the series X that a majority of people have just said nah I'm good bro side note we can't really include the next switch or the switch successor because it hasn't come out yet so we're not going to really be mentioning Nintendo at this particular video now going off of that very easy question I've got another question for you right here and again it's a pretty standard one you right now watching this video do you or have you ever played one of these five games that are currently on the screen actually let's narrow this down a bit in the last year have you played any of these five games you know what one more time just for good measure have you played any of these games in the last month got your answer good now take that answer go down into the comments right now and type that out for us to see and also when you type in that answer I want you to include what console you're currently playing on or what platform you're playing on are you playing on a previous gen console a current gen console or heck even PC I don't care if you're on Playstation Xbox the Wii who cares there's going to be no shaming here everyone has different preferences and circumstances as to why they own particular consoles totally understandable but if we want to keep it focused on this particular generation then this generation has been very interesting to say the least from the craziness that was 2020 to 2022 to most games still being available on previous gen consoles inflations prices rising around the world for goods including consoles and Tech that usually drop in price over time and finally with the recent news that over half of something like the PSN owners are still on the previous gen Hardware the big question becomes will this console generation go down as one of the worst and what is the real reason that people are not upgrading well it seems that those five particular games that we just talked about beforehand and that you've written down in the comments if you've played those seem to be one of the big main causes due to not only how popular they are but due to them simply being just everywhere and being what are known as Evergreen games players don't really have a need to upgrade I mean unless you really need that nextg patch or higher Graphics why upgrade right couple that with prices not really going down for this particular generation when previous gen would have seen a price decrease easily by now I mean Heck if you take a stroll down memory lane and remember the PS4 before the PS5 release you could find one for a pretty good price with tons of games on sales that you can even buy for the system from games like Uncharted 4 and the last of us to God of War 2018 and Spider-Man or how about games like ghost of sushima and Red Dead 2 plus you could get these all on sale or heck even free on Playstation Plus at that time Xbox had the same thing going with Gears of War and Forza and things like that so there's really not a lot of incentive to really upgrade and even though a lot of those Evergreen games that we mentioned beforehand have cross progression a lot of people don't feel that having to buy an extra $500 box essentially doesn't make much sense especially if you have things like School a full-time job or anything like that to continue on speaking of games however though what you might be hearing a lot especially this generation is that there're just not any good games to play there are no exclusives to take advantage of the hardware and unless you're some hardcore Sony Pony or xbot then what's the point of buying the next console and everything I mean even huge games like God of War Ragnarok are cross gen so with all that being said I want to pose a final question I know I'm asking a lot of questions sorry I'm a teacher but what game would need to release for you the viewer to finally upgrade and purchase that next big box is it going to be a game like GTA 6 I mean five is still being played on the previous gen consoles and that game itself is still sellling every day last I checked that game is still sellling over what is this number oh 200 million what the hell who has not bought this game at this point damn yeah uh really is no point to updating or do you need something like the next fortnite that can just must be played on the next gen consoles and not the last gen consoles or are you simply waiting for some next big game that sets the world on fire then you finally make that jump I'm really interested in your answer so please let me know down below if we move away from just the games themselves so another factor is simply just price this is the first console generation where we are 4 years into its lifespan and we have not seen a single price drop in fact many countries the price has actually gone up so what's going on well it also does doesn't help that things like inflation have gone up people are spending money on other things besides games and honestly the biggest one is the companies actually companies trying to keep the profits that they saw back in 2020 to 2022 you've probably heard it across multiple videos over the last year or so where these companies saw record growth for the last couple of years in covid and everything started to go down like you would predict it would but they don't like that they need that line to keep going up and so what do they do they increase the prices so again what is the actual point of upgrading heck Xbox like we mentioned beforehand has adapted to play Anywhere situation so as long as you can play their software because they're Microsoft then they don't really care as long as you are playing their software and you are sending them money that's all that matters the final nail in the coffin is simply just many feeling that this generation is just not a big enough Leap Forward like many generations beforehand I've actually said this many times in our streams but since the PS4 generation we should not be expecting huge leaps in the graphics we've kind of hit that pretty high Watermark already I mean look at something like God of War Ragnarok while the PS5 and the PS4 versions can look a little different and there's some good frame generation and everything like that overall the game still looks amazing on the PS4 instead I've been saying for quite a while that consoles are basically becoming what happened to the PC Building space years ago instead of seeing crazy jumps and specs and what the games can reach they're just going to have smaller increases like rate tracing and other features I mean heck the last couple generations of gpus when it comes to PC Building has mostly been focused on frame generation and other things like that so I expect to see more things like that going forward in the console space okay so we know lots of people have decided to Simply stick with the previous gen but does this mean that the current gen is actually just dead well we know that that's not actually really true since the PS5 itself has actually been selling as well as the PS4 at the current 4-year Mark in terms of total Global monthly sales so what is it is it simply just that so many ps5s were bought during the craziness that was 2020 and that has simply kept it aoat I mean as much as we would love to Simply go back in time and say oh yeah 2020 to 2024 if it just been normal things would have just looked the same essentially but unfortunately we can't really do that so what exactly is it well that's where this little thread comes in now I'm going to leave the full thread linked below and I highly encourage you to read the full thing but I want to go over this now with you because not only does this go a lot into detail on the current state of the industry by the way shout out to Jacob naok for this I hope I pronounce your last name right there but this is going to really open your eyes unless you have been looking into the gaming industry for the last like 10 years and you follow every single article now I need to mention that this does start with a focus on Final Fantasy and Square Enix he was the director of business there and even reported to the CEO but trust me this relates to all areas of the gaming space well except Nintendo but you know that already it's Nintendo all right enough speculating let's just get straight into this I'm going to be reading a lot of this information and giving my own personal thoughts after certain sections let's get going Jacob cers has thr out off by saying as a reminder I've reported to two CEOs of Square Enix for the better part of a decade I also correctly predicted that last year Square Enix was going to break their exclusivity I'll note that I have no confidential information that I'm basing my arguments on to start we need to look at the decisions made on the titles under the development from the lens of 2015 to 2022 not the lens of 2023 for example Final Fantasy 16 would have started pre-production prior to the release of Final Fantasy 15 which was released in 2016 this is a pre fortnite era budget for games like Final Fantasy 7 remake and into rebirth would have been around this period too this is important to note and we'll get back to it later he continues on there's a misunder understanding that's has been repeated for nearly a decade and a half that Square Enix sets arbitrary High sales requirements then gets upset when those High sale requirements are failed to be met I'm not going to lie this shocked me right here I've been saying that for quite a while especially in our last few videos that related to things like Final Fantasy 7 rebirth and square enus going full multiplatform I mean it's all we've heard for the last like 10 plus years now he does say this was not true when he was there and it's unlikely to be true today however maybe way back in the old days maybe it was but I'm not going to assume anything clearly that's what a lot of us used to do sales expectations generally come from a need to cover the cost of development plus a return on investment he States if a game costs say $100 million to make and takes 5 years then you have to beat as an example what the business could have returned investing $100 million into the stock market over that period for the 5 years prior to February 2024 the stock market averaged a rate of a return of 14.5% investing that $100 million into the stock market would net you a return of $21 million so this is our Roi Baseline the question becomes can The Game net a return higher than after marketing platform fees and discounts are factored in this is actually a very hard equation though it does seem simple the $70 that the consumer pays only returns $49 after 30% platform fees and the platforms will generally get a recoup of any funds spent on exclusivity meaning until they are paid back they will keep that Cash Plus it discounts start almost immediately when a game is released assuming marketing expenses at 50 million and assume that you're not going to get $49 but rather an average closer to about $40 given discounts returns in other aspects now let's say in the first month you sold 3 million copies with $40 net received we're going to ignore the recoup for now you need to surpass $254 million to make expectations that's $100 million plus $111 million in iro Baseline plus the $50 million in marketing at 3 million copies with $40 per copy received you've only made 121 million and you're pretty far off from the statements made it's going to take a game like Final Fantasy 16 18 months to hit the expected sales I use the stock market as an example but the actual Roo could be higher than the stock market average itself the sales figure required aren't wild expectations the number of copies sold were too low and my numbers are actually much lower than the realities Game Dev costs are probably two times as high and marketing is also likely two times as high as well and this makes Roi requirements much higher too but that's not even the core of the problem but all the stuff that he says above is not even relating to the core problem itself this is just him providing that expectations are set IM odiously Jacob states that the core of the problem is that the budgets were set in a period where the expectation was that the audience would grow total audience growth is a reasonable expectation in the 2015 to 2022 era and still is today not only had the industry grown significantly each year but each day that new generation was coming of age they were coming of age as Gamers meaning that your total addressable population would be inreasing and you should be increasing your Revenue so what the heck happened not just to Square Enix but to the industry as a whole audience behavioral patterns are radically different than expected in 2015 remember I said 2015 was pre fornite for anyone who might be thinking that this isn't related to the entire gameing industry listen up this is where it gets interesting the way it used to work was that you would pick your release date similar to a Hollywood movie stick to it and consider the competition to be titles releasing in the weeks before and after that Jacob here uses an example saying we would look at a Hitman or a DS X release and consider whether there was a Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed coming out around that time assuming that Gamers had x amount of money to spend and Y amount of time remember discounts eat into Cash received and also that time used this sales were zero cash received we needed to get as many sales in the first two weeks as possible he continues on saying at that time as a gamer once you finished the most recent game you were on you moved on to the next one you were looking for your next title once you finished your prior one we wanted one of our titles to be the next title that you bought to fill your gamer needs this world radically changed though in the last 6 years earlier this month kotake had an article called Nine great games we can't stop thinking about there was a surprise 10th slide and that was fortnite written in the article States and once again another weekend arrives and I realized that I'm spending most of my time playing fortnite I'm very close to maxing out both my battle pass and Festival pass so that's the plan I hate how deep fortnite has its hooks into me to the point where I'm choosing to play it over brand new cool looking video games but I can't help it I must finish these passes get all the rewards and earn the right to play other stuff well until the next season starts up and once again I will return to fortnite to drop in and level up again it's sick I hate myself and I can't wait to play more this weekend now I'm not going to judge anyone for looking at kotaco articles but uh not the best reference but regardless there is something important right there before we continue on in this thread that Jacob's written that right there has been the gamer mindset for the average gamer for over 6 years now I'm not talking about me I'm not talking about you who's watching this remember we're the minority we've said this multiple times in videos but the average person who's gone out bought a console or their parents have bought them a console and they simply just play a game that is the mentality of majority of Gamers right there they are stuck in the fomo that is known as something like life service games fortnite war zone all that stuff if they miss out on something then it's missed out on forever that's why only recently we've seen some battle passes and some games be hey you can come back to it later on has it helped much it's hard to say we'd have to wait and see see if any research has done on this later on going forward Jacob continues on saying this is indeed the point Square Enix are not competing against just the latest new installments they're competing against every free-to-play online game that is constantly adding content and getting more robust over time the Assumption was that people would jump between products when they finish one but as you know free-to-play games like fortnite or war zone are evergreen they never get old they are always updating with new content and experiences they can continue for decades candy cr has had its best years ever the last 2 years and companies like epic can continue to invest back into the products that make them better creating even higher barriers eventually for competitors the game industry is still growing in Revenue but that revenue is increasingly captured by fewer life service games that are generating a level of stickiness seen in social media companies there are reasons that there are few competitors of something like Facebook once the network effect starts it can keep going for a long time since Instagram also Facebook the only real competitor in the entire decade has been something like Tik Tok with a billion plus people and this is in a trillion dollar valued industry Jacob continues on saying I expect fortnite Roblox war zone and similar products to continue growing more Revenue meanwhile put yourself in an older gamer shoes if you're a gamer with disposable income but less free time and you have the choice between paying $70 to play 100 hours in Final Fantasy 16 or to just continue playing fortnite with your friends for free you're more likely to wait to see Final Fantasy 16 reviews before you decideed whether or not to switch off of fortnite in other words your switching costs are now considerably higher than when you would finish the L Assassin's Creed and look for the next title to fill your time because you're a wash with content options fortnite doesn't end this is the reason we see Trends where games are either spectacular 10 out of 10 successes or disasters with little in between there is no next hit being searched for many of these cases and this polarization makes risks higher and costs higher too we're going to get into that in just a moment okay so I want to stop just right there before we continue on with this threat I told you guys this was long okay but looking at this right now it makes a lot of sense what he is saying and it also shines a bright light on why the higher-ups at all these companies are trying to get into the live service but they're finding out the hard way and of course we've all called it here that you can't really do that you know you have to basically create a 12 out of 10 game to somehow drag somebody away from fortnite and it needs to be free it needs to have constant updates and everything and that just doesn't happen for a majority of these live service games not to mention you have the older Gamers getting completely pissed off at these companies for even trying to get into something like that because we don't like that but like I've said beforehand we're the minority unfortunately and it's going to keep getting worse before it gets better continuing on with the thread Jacob States now if you're a younger gamer in your teens you may not even be thinking about Final Fantasy if you are 13 years old now you are 5 years old when the last Mainline Final Fantasy Final Fantasy 15 came out your family may not own a PS5 and you may not even care you're satisfied with fortnite or Roblox or Minecraft to your friends on your phone or laptop I'm not saying that this is the case for everyone but it is certainly a Trend the old AAA franchises do not seem to be converting the younger Generations that the industry was counting on for its growth and instead free-to-play social games on mobile are what they are spending their time on this is the reason every publisher has chased live service titles audience clearly gravitate towards and the profits followed if they are successful it also makes a side quote here saying it is surprising that Square Enix which had successful free-to-play live service mobile titles in Japan left the AAA live service attempts to [ __ ] rather than try to build those products in Japan but dissecting this problem would likely require an entire different thread so that's something interesting there in terms of just Square Enix themselves regardless the fortnite isation of the industry was not entirely predictable in 2015 when budgets were still being planned even after fortnite came out and well into the co period it felt like the industry growth was falling was pulling All Ships forward not just a handful but that isn't what happened okay so that right there might be kind of common knowledge to some people watching this video but it might also be an eye opener for a lot of people now we're getting into the big one that is leaving just Square Enix and the big areas of the industry and we're about to dive into the entire industry with of course cost developments now we have to get to the cost of developments asset generation motion capture textures animation engineering infrastructures are incredibly expensive making games cost a lot of money the recent layoff wave is generally a consolidation towards a new expected sales average in the number of titles being produced not the cost of an individual title which is going to continue to increase he says in parenthesis Spider-Man 2 cost $380 million development costs have gone up and switching cost to the consumer has also gone up and as a result of all of this companies have to invest even more money into their games because if it's not a 10 out of 10 gamers are going to stick with fortnite I don't literally mean fortnite but something similar to those type of products now one thing I'm going to mention quickly right here off the side that I have mentioned tons of times when it comes to the increased cost on certain games not all games but certain games we've all seen the headlines that Spider-Man 2 has cost a ton of money to create however one thing I don't see a lot of people talking about that I've talked with some of my programmer friends that are not necessarily game developers but they work in programming they stated that most likely the reason for that price increase right there or that crazy high price that we've seen for Spider-Man 2 is because they were also working on the server infrastructure for the live service game that they were trying to make but then eventually scrapped that is a ton of money use and it would not surprise me if they bundled together Spider-Man 2 cost and that live service section that they were trying to make together now obviously that live service part of the game was canned but that cost that they still used guess what it's still there so that's what it's going to look like the Jacob continues on meanwhile games like Final Fantasy 7 rebirth which has a 92% Metacritic rating can't get the sales it needs though it's also complicated due to it being a sequel these factors means that the status quo must change he then starts to get into some real technical details here there are three LS that you can pull to make the equation work for return on investment at a game company you can decrease costs increase the price or increase audience size as noted already any non-service game is having trouble increasing audience size meaning on the cost side inflation is up salaries are up and consumers require sophisticated beautiful products to get them to Fork over cash rather than keep playing their free-to-play titles it is true that there are many smaller games or less beautiful games that generate audiences and are profitable but something like batro is not a good example to point out it was made by one person AAA games can take hundreds thousands of people to make a single person making $2 to3 million in sales is lifechanging aund people people trying to split that is not enough money and products like Bato are lightning in a bottle you can't generally capture that twice and there are hundreds of thousands of competing products on steam or app stores that fail for every batro this leaves only price left as a lever to pull since the price of gains haven't really increased relative to inflation package disc games have gotten cheaper over the last two decades the Assumption was that it was okay because the audience size would grow instead of the price but the audience went to the platform titles prices for package disc games will will go up he States game companies simply have no choice this is the only lever left just look at any article related to GTA 6 and the price point from this week we're also seeing this trend with Ubisoft Star Wars games it's not because game companies are penny pitchers looking to fleece their users it's because this is the only path left to make non-f freet to-play service titles workable in the AAA gaming space given cost in competition something has to give if someone like Square enex can't get its cost down of Dev time by the way it will go up and is getting good reviews but it isn't increasing audience size they and the rest of the Publishers are going to have to increase game prices at some point otherwise live service titles is all that's going to be left God that would suck there's another path that I can think of which is increasing the take rates if Publishers can capture more of the platform side Revenue they can moderate price increases while capturing a better return on investment because they're capturing say $50 or $55 out of $70 Tim swey epic knows this which is why he's fighting the good fight on platform fees both at EGS and within the app stores to open up PC and mobile ecosystems this is also why you'll see Microsoft and others take advantage of his fight and start their own app stores you would think Microsoft would chip in for epics legal fees which they're capturing the benefits of with no risk but this path will take time and it's very hard on consoles where the AAA Publishers make a lot of the money so expect prices to still increase to be the norm for quite some time okay so we've got a lot of information right there and I know it was a long one so if you're still here I thank you but the way I personally look at this and what he has said right here is that basically the way it looks because a lot of games are not going to be these free-to-play live service games and even those who have tried to dip into that space and have clearly failed as we've seen over the last 5 to 10 years guess what that's not going to change anything and so even having a game like something like final fantasy7 rebirth which got a 92 which back in the day would have sold crazy high numbers and by the way we're going to get into that whole exclusivity thing here cuz it's not as black and white as you might think it is then what are the companies supposed to do basically now I'm not trying to be a company sh here a lot of the companies especially those higher ups and the CEOs and everything make some very stupid decisions but in this current world that we live in right now where it's all about capital gains and making sure the line continues to go up and everything that is one of the reasons we are where we are right now now getting back to that exclusivity because I know a lot of people are going to be going into the comments saying look if a game of Final Fantasy 7 rebirth had simply released on PC and Xbox and everything else then guess what it would have sold bangers and everything would have been great that's not necessarily the case and I want to show you this tweet right here now I happen to one of these requotes Because the actual thread from Jacob you can't actually reply to but someone named subtext actually said this this is a fantastic thread since replies aren't open I hope that Jacob can see this for a quick question all of this makes sense but about recouping platforms for exclusivity are you saying that Square Enix needs to repay Sony for what Sony paid in exclusivity rights why would Square Enix take that deal then Jacob goes into a long linky answer here and this spells it out not only for exclusivity for something like Square Enix and Sony but why someone might go over to the Epic gam store why they might skip something like steam why they might go to other platforms it's because of this right here I won't speak to specific Square Enix Sony deals but I can't explain generally how it works you have three types of exclusivity deals number one no recoup which goes to often smaller accounts and for smaller titles partial recruit which is very common a portion of the funds will be recruited by the platform before the future funds are dispersed and number three full recoup which is common all funds invested must must be recouped before the future funds are dispersed so basically that third one right there from the way I'm reading it again I'm not a business major but basically all the funds have to be recruited for the money that someone like Sony pays Square to make this game before all future funds can then go to Square Enix in the case of recoups the publisher is not necessarily paying the platform when you purchase a game digitally through say the Sony store Sony receives those funds first so it can't be withhold payment for the rest until recouped if sales are through a physical Channel then the publisher may have to cut a check back to the platform holder otherwise this could happen have a partial recoup plus increase or decrease in the percent royalty paid or exclusivity arrangements for partial recoup against only a specific platform EG 30% of the funds that must be recouped and then it can be released on PC that is actually something we are currently seeing with Final Fantasy 7 remake and rebirth going over to PC a lot of this has to do with leverage if you have a powerful IP that Sony wants you can argue for a partial recoup instead of a full recoup I'm not saying any of these arguments are for a very specific one for score Enix and Sony however to justify that industry deals take many shapes and sizes depending on who you are and what the other side wants as for why any given publisher would accept an exclusivity arrangement with full recoup because it offloads content risk to the platform games are expensive and take years and sometimes are good and sometimes are bad if Sony puts say $100 million into a game and that game is bad they are now out $100 million but you the publisher are out zero so if a game is great and it sells $200 million worth Sony is fully paid back that $100 million and you're $100 million richer that right there that right there ladies and gentlemen is why we still have exclusivity again not even looking at something like Nintendo but the big question about why does square and Sony do these exclusivity deals why does Xbox try to do exclusivity deals why does anyone try to do this why do people try to put their games under something like the epic game store instead of something like steam which has a much higher player base it's all become because of money now you might be sitting here going well no [ __ ] Talon we've all known that but this right here should be spelling it out for you why would someone pick epic over steam because epic only takes 15% of the cut compared to steam's 30% yes steam has a higher player base but if you're not confident that your game can reach that mass audience you're going to go with the Epic one why does Square go with Sony it could be easily this right here Sony pays so much money for something like remake and rebirth and even though square has come out in their statement saying like uh failed to meet expectations and everything that doesn't necessarily mean that they're in the red it easily could have stated that hey you know we made this amount of money and we've recouped that all back to Sony and we've only made you know X millions of dollars or something like that which is going to be low for them so the bar is not going as vertical as they want to but it is still going slightly up at a more horizontal vertical State regardless this right here if you're taking away anything from this video This is why right here someone might go to one platform over another and then later on put it onto a different platform not going to lie that is a real eye opener right there I've stated many times that a lot of that probably has to do with simply relations and everything and to an extent it probably still does but that right there that is mind-blowing Heck if we want to move away from something like Final Fantasy let's look at a game like Allen wake 2 that was in the running for Game of the Year back in 2023 however it's been noted that it actually hasn't gone green yet in terms of the cost and everything so why did a game like Allen wake 2 go over to the epic game store over steam probably the exact same reason I just here recently let's cut per purchase and they most likely got some money from epic and don't have to pay them back if they negotiated well enough again we don't have the exact details of said contracts or anything but it would make sense right there there is so much more that we could easily jump into but we would be here all day so we are going to be discussing this later on if you want to join us in some of our live streams and everything like that we try to live stream every weekend at around 8:00 p.m. PST we would love to see you there to continue this conversation with all that being said and all that we've talked about here I want to go back to the question that we talked about at the very beginning will things ever get better based on all of this stuff that we just talked about right now it does not seem so at least right now until companies stop trying to focus on nothing but huge growth and honestly forget about the whole 2020 to 2022 numbers since those were never normal if developers are finally given a chance to really try new things without threat of losing their jobs and if a bit of the gamerc consumer to can try new games and support these developers then maybe we'll finally start to see some change however that's not going to be easy road again I'm not saying that all of us as Gamers need to go out by every single game or anything like that do your research look at how reviews are doing how is it perform on your particular console or PC all that stuff is still very important but at the same time I implore you get away from the live service games get away from fortnite war zone and Roblox expand your game in Horizons go and try some of these games even if they're on sale if you have to wait for a sale that's completely fine but go out and try new things playing the same game over and over and over and over again you are missing out on so many awesome titles that are available to you whether they're small Indie Games double A games AAA games you name it go out and try something new you won't regret it I can guarantee it and until that day finally comes things are going to keep going the way they are prices are going to continue to increase and we'll have to wait and see what's going to happen but a lot of things are definitely getting to change over the coming years what do you think about all this now what are your thoughts on all of this I want to know all your personal comments down below I know this video was very long and I rambled especially the second half for quite some time but I want to know your personal thoughts on all this do you think game prices are ever going to go down do you think people are going to finally jump to the next gen consoles and ditch those live service games are we going to see more games take more risks not right now at this particular moment but later on down the road let me know all your thoughts down below and if you enjoyed this kind of discussion video then leave a like on the video as well as it's going to help us a lot and we can see that in our
