Lego Batman speedruns are utterly broken

today we're speed running through lego batman and we're gonna start the speed run as soon as we select a new game and right away we'll skip through some cutscenes but as soon as those cutscenes are over it's time for the first level where as you can see there are actually two main characters for this game both batman and robin so for the most part i'm gonna be playing the role of batman while my friend purple hair guy is gonna be robin i get to be the sidekick yeah i get to be the cool guy in a bat mask while you're just some kid in tights i mean you're literally wearing tights that's just batman yeah but i'm wearing them in a cool way oh okay okay you know what i get it i get it so anyway you might also notice that he's not always going to be in the game because every once in a while it's just better to only have one person playing but for certain moments like right here he has to try to take care of the people trying to murder me and there we go we make it through the loading screen and now it's time to get robin a uniform it just happens to be located inside of these trees right in a park yeah they're just random trees that are glowing if we break them open we see that there's just the robin signal so that's kind of hilarious get these guys off me i'm trying to get away from us i got a craft okay so he gets the new technology suit and he's smarter now yeah and now i know how to drive a car it's like a hot wheels car but you know pretty much the same thing it's a car it works all the same so he'll use that to touch three different switches and open this door for me and then after that we can go through here and face off against our first boss which is going to be clayface so to start this fight we have to hit clayface two times if he stops there we go and he's gonna run away so this means we're gonna have to use bombs to kill him whoa whoa we don't kill people oh yeah we just put them to sleep forever my bad so i can place a bomb and then i'm gonna use my boomerang to set it off after that we'll go to the next place wait for that to come out and use another bomb okay it didn't work for some reason we'll just place one but there there we go that's what we wanted and now we can just wait here hit all of these switches as well and that's going to finish off clayface he gets pushed into a cage before he let him out because i mean he did his time whatever which means we now have to wait an entire minute to go through these unskipable cutscenes so yeah we'll see you after this now after that it's time for the second world and to start off right away he's gonna go over make a new suit for robin why just beat up some bad guys and open a gate and the second level is actually the best level to show you just how broken this entire game is all right i got my suit now i leave yeah he leaves which sometimes the game really doesn't want him to and we're gonna do one of the coolest tricks right away where i'm going to use robin's double jumping abilities to get up here then after that i can do one more double jump he'll spawn in and yeah he just makes it to the loading zone it's kind of hilarious all right it's time to build another suit out of nothing and then i leave again perfect i love this yeah because i get to be batman it's way more fun for me yeah some of the levels are like this don't worry there will be more purple hair guy content but you just have to wait a little bit for it so i can take down those things then i'm going to build this bridge and after that i'm also going to build these stairs so we can do an extended glide now for that i want to jump on top of these and then i just tap the glide button and let go of it and i keep doing that and also die because of the invisible depth barrier but as i was saying i keep doing that so i can make it past other things and i don't even know why i had so much trouble but we made it past the next section yeah so he's gonna spawn in his robin and then i drop out yeah drop out immediately so i can be robin and it's time for one of the hardest jumps in the game where i have to take a really precise jump right there make it just over there and okay that was close that was so close second time's the charm it usually takes a couple tries so we'll try to get this second try at least come on that's good oh that was beautiful yes that was exactly the jump we wanted now i can use the magnet suit to make my way up here press that lever and it's time for the next part i get to play batman yeah purple hair guy comes back in and i have to make another kind of precise jump and made it easy oh that was so easy for me wait you have to switch oh wait and then i leave right away i forgot about that but so now i use batman i use another extended glide and then make it up here okay as i was saying make it up here and then i can do this to then get robin to be able to come up and i'm going to switch to robin or if he's going to hey you can use him i can i i want to use him yeah yeah yeah i like him i'm a robin man what can i say so we have to take care of these guys and then i can use this gun to then make this stuff able to be used basically this is filled with hot goo and i have to make it cold so robin's able to go across it i don't think it's hot goo i think it's ice cream i'm dumb uh anyways that's okay i'm just gonna drop out and let you do everything now all right all right okay all right um excuse me pardon me i've got places to be bonk bonk bonk okay pull this lever and then i'm gonna do a sweet move you ready whoa okay that was pretty cool i'm so good at this game oh oh you full batman you got to get up here batman come on okay he was not supposed to spawn over there i don't know what batman was trying to do okay i got it i got it i'm on my way oh all right we open this up and there we go easy all right after this it's time for our next boss fight against this phrasing guy i don't really know his name i'm gonna be honest mr freeze oh okay that was kind of simple one more i'll block all these attacks we can't hit him while he's doing these attacks which is kind of annoying but then he can come right in boom that's his first phase done get destroyed yeah kind of pathetic not gonna lie but that's all right and then he's gonna turn on an air conditioner and unfortunately we forgot our sweater so we have to do some other things to get past it and that's going to include making a cannon because i guess that works out yeah to shoot a giant gumball at it so now there's no more air conditioner and it's time to take care of this guy again oh my gosh one person has to distract him while the other person has to hit him all right there we go yeah not the most beautiful fight in the world but it worked out these fights are honestly really jank so now i get to do nothing for a while usually i'm robin at this point so i am enjoying getting my chance to do literally nothing it's awesome no no no no no batman players are valuable okay all right i'm gonna start making this thing and he's going to make another one of these basically we're making two what do you even call these things like uh carts okay some sort of carts and we have to make these to take him out in his final phase there are gonna be some people who try to attack us while we're doing this so that's a little annoying but i will make my car and i'm gonna start pushing it because i'm way better than you and faster hold up no you're not you don't have suction cups on your feet you can't no way you can move this faster okay we have to take out these guys okay and go finish it out push it all perfect easy the easiest extra cutscene skip even though it really doesn't save too much time but whatever into his next phase it's time for pretty much the exact same thing i'm just gonna block and he's gonna hit me and robin's gonna finish him off if i could reach him i think i got him yeah i did oh he got me get him i'm trying to why wouldn't he let us hit him ah there we go all right fight is done and that is the fastest we've ever done that i think now the third level has one of the coolest tricks in the entire game first of all purple hair guy is going to drop out i'm gonna get this car and i'm gonna bring it over here this part is pretty simple but after that we will get a cool skip i just have to go put it in the bat place so the police can take it the bat plays the bat place they're just bats there they're they're just hanging out and as soon as those move i can also go with them and just watch as these villains cars go away because batman is taking the time to subscribe to easy speezy just like what you should do anyway it's time for the cool trick what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna hug this wall and then as soon as i hit right there he's going to spawn in and then he can go to the loading screen and what is going on what is happening um what are you doing back there what is happening to your camera oh my god the camera i think i got it okay it's fine that is so weird oh gosh i messed it up you got it you got it boss yes yes you're so good at this game okay that trick was very scuffed but that's okay it's time to finish this out i'm going to go and grapple this car and we're going back bringing it to the bat place again which is now the name for it i don't care what anyone else says this is the bat place drag it drag it into the bat please it was in the back place come on it sounds very threatening yeah this thing is so hard to control but there we go that is going to be our next boss done and level three done so now it's time for level four which is going to be poison ivy's level and this one is just gonna be weird i'm just gonna prepare you for it but right away all i'm gonna do is try to make this nice truck so we can demolish some things but people keep trying to attack me while i'm just making my truck yeah they shouldn't be fighting the people who fight crime we're the good guys are we we only have a few citizen casualties every single hour so we're gonna come through here there's a bunch of workers i don't even know why they're here while their place is getting overtaken by crime bosses but whatever and now i have my new cool gun which basically this can break different things for some reason and batman is also now blue so he's looking pretty good i guess okay i'm gonna break these pots early yeah those pots will be important and you will see why in just a second but before that we're gonna break open this and yeah it's lego we're gonna break a bunch of things all right smash everything yeah we're smashing all this stuff up and the reason behind that is because it's time to get another random robin thing that comes out of completely random materials in the ground gotta love how the world is just made for us and i don't drop out this time which is awesome he actually gets to play yeah i mean he pretty much just vacuums things and i try to open things up for him to vacuum and yeah that is our dynamic i love vacuuming and what we can do is we can put it into this machine which will make a bomb for us it's really handy that it's just right there and of course for some reason the plant's going to eat it and then explode so that works out pretty well but now it's a purple hair guy only part i'm going to drop out for the first time yes i get to do something by myself oh look at that gameplay oh my gosh i i invented that texture saying and now it's time for another one of the hardest jumps in the game like this is actually insane oh i'm gonna first time it oh he first touched it baby we got that on camera you did the thing now i can't spawn in i was telling you to wait for batman oh no okay i'm gonna finish this stage we got it this time uh this game is kind of bugged well either this game or steam's share play or whatever it's called because every once in a while it just won't let me play anymore so now batman is just a cpu forever yeah we can't really do anything about it uh and it happens a lot so that makes speedrunning this game very delightful so i could be hoping for this entire stage but now you just have to do everything by yourself like getting all these plants while batman gets shot you're just doing his job he's a bullet sponge yeah that's fair and now he can open up all these different flowers so they can actually pass through this stuff and batman just decided to die batman stop batman stop it what is wrong with batman what the heck i don't like this all right more things in bushes because where else would they be and batman was actually able to make it through that time but he's just standing in your way yeah he usually is get it because you play as batman haha in my way not really hurt my feelings i hope you know that at least batman's not in your way now because he's sitting in the corner i hurt his feelings batman i'm sorry man come on batman please what are you doing but anyways what purple hair guy now has to do is he has to construct a lot of different bombs that for some reason these plants are going to spit out but they're also going to spit out enemies that he has to kill so yeah it's just kind of a simple thing meanwhile batman is just getting beat up in the corner and now we only have one more plant to take care of hopefully batman will attack poison ivy and then you can just focus on everybody else while they just beat each other kill these little green guys see these are plants so we can kill is them how that works yeah yeah yeah they're not people okay and now with this last bomb done as soon as he explodes it poison ivy can now finally get damaged the boys beating up beating up poison ivy let's go working together and there we go that's going to be done and now we're going to have to put me back in which means i have to quit completely out of the game so we're going to let the bat cave load just to make sure nothing breaks on us it has before it's awesome but now we can stop the game and go back into it which of course then i have to stream remote play to purple hair guy again so it's gonna be a bit of a time loss but what you're gonna do okay we can finally play the game again as it lags so that was a nice time loss but now we can finally finish off the fifth stage or i guess start it and then finish it off so right away we have this highway and we have to sneak into this place using a fake truck so what we're gonna do for this is destroy this thing so we can just make some different things you know just like lego games you do this a lot in lego games and we're also gonna turn on these buttons so that we can bring the truck over and then i leave yeah say goodbye to purple hair guy yet again because now it's time for me to do some gameplay but finally i can make it through and i'm just gonna drive my car over here because batman loves driving cars and then destroy all this stuff so we can get another suit for batman and now what i'm going to do is i'm going to very precisely make it over there using my glides so then i can open this thing up and allow robin to come over here and as soon as that gate opens up i'm going to switch to robin robin as i was saying i'm gonna switch to robin and do some kind of precise wall jumps where i make it right over there and then beat these guys up as well and now we're gonna do a really cool trick i go into the video settings and turn vertical sync off and for some reason when you do this you can then punch this wall and just fly so i can do that robin oh come on come on robin what are you doing get up there there you go so robin's able to make it up here without having to get a new suit i can turn that on and yeah we can pretty much complete the level skipping another big part of the game so now robin just has to make it up there i'm going to set a place so batman can also get up here as well and yeah we get to both play again oh yeah we also have to turn v-sync back on because it really messes up the game if you don't have it on but it's time for the boss fight which means i'm gonna switch back to batman goodbye i'm gone again and then i'm gonna punch this guy twice and then just fly all the way over here you know skipping a bunch of stuff because who needs to do work and i almost just died there but that's okay he's gonna destroy that gate he has the biggest hop of my life he can jump farther than batman with his wings did you just see that yeah he's got like a 40-foot vertical but if we could cover that but i actually have to build a platform because i'm not as amazing as two-face and you know do all this stuff make it past all the goons okay guys guys chill out i'm just batman don't kill me don't kill me oh no oh my gosh my time loss oh but that's fine we can just make it into this room and it's time for him to finally come back now these things will immediately kill you even though i guess death doesn't really matter in this game because the thing is every time you die you just get immediately respawned so you know we're not too worried about it and after that it's finally time for the boss fight which is actually a pretty complicated one i have to take out this dude while he goes and he's gonna build a bunch of stuff that we're gonna use later we can use that much damage on him and then we're going to build this thing which is going to reflect his bullets that he's going to shoot later all right dude you were trying to do your thing oh he's already coming down okay there we go take him out finally okay there we go there we go yeah we're also going to destroy these gates because for some reason other people did it so we're kind of just copying them but there we go that is done i can now make these locks so we can also unlock these cases as well because they're trying to shoot us with their gun also let me punch sometimes the game just does allow you but what are you doing i got shot all right let's take out this dude single punch him sometimes if you try to combo hit him it just doesn't work so we always try to do the single punch like i said the combat in this game is very jank and now we have to take care of some more random goons you know pretty much the exact same thing yeah now we actually both have some combat things to do as soon as they feel like jumping down he's scratching his back all right so i'm gonna beat up this guy and stay on this side and he's going to beat up this guy which he just does one punch to him so this is just the general tempo we're just gonna keep following and yeah that's pretty much the fight easy peasy that's going to be done and that's the first world done as well i would also call this probably the longest start of the game the other two we have some really cool tricks for so eventually we spawn back in and right away we just have to do some random platforming just making it back to the place where we can do levels because for some reason we spawn over here you should have hit that butler he had it coming i should have done it but now i'm gonna beat you up get over here no you're not i'm gonna make it to world two get over here robin like a good teammate i'm coming for you so we start out with catwoman's level which is one of the cooler levels first of all you have to drop out so i can switch to robin because for some reason the game also won't let us just switch between each other so we have to get one to drop out i don't know if that's steam remote play's fault or what exactly that is but you know it's it's a thing so now i have to do a very precise jump right up there that's actually way harder than it looks so i'm very surprised i got that first try and now we can make it up these platforms you know i knew it was too good to be true of course i had to fall after that but i can make it over there just barely be able to do the jump and make a ladder for myself let me up yeah you're just gonna have to hang out over there see you later batman but now he's going to leave the game so i can become batman again we do have to take these guys out because they can very easily get in our way and these guys also can stop oh my gosh so now i can get my famous glide suit as soon as i make it up here and we're gonna do some really cool stuff with this glide suit using the longer glide so i can use that first of all to get over to this building we're gonna make another jump over to here we just saw a couple people jump off so that was a little sad and then after that we do this cool thing where i'm gonna glide over here and then just jump down right in front of catwoman because we're kind of doing this out of order now but that's gonna spawn me back here so now i can jump back over there and i have to do a very precise glide where i can't mess this up pretty much at all otherwise it's going to ruin this so please make it over there and perfect so close yeah that is always terrifying so i'm happy i got that now we have another kind of precise glide where okay first jump on there there we go and i try not to get hit perfect oh thank you for falling off as well i appreciate it so with that i can open up these things and then start building some switches yeah the funny thing about this is this is clearly meant for two people but they're so close together that you can do them both at the same time very easily so now it's time to get out of this building and then pretty much just go back in and it's time for the catwoman fight which is going to be one of the funniest fights in the game and you'll see why in just a second so right away we take care of those guys because they will get in our way and we take out these gates now as soon as catwoman jumps back we're gonna get her to just fall off yeah there we go that's the bus battle easy i love that boss battle so much now it's time for the boat level which is one of the more awkward levels in my opinion because we have to carry around these things and yeah it just can be really awkward trying to move these things around but i have my bigger boat while robin has this really puny boat it's actually kind of pathetic hey come on all right but my boat's hard to control please get up this okay thank you very much i can make the jump over there and then open that up for robin now robin's able to have explosives on the ready but they are smaller explosives uh did you just what the heck was that game there we go all right and i can get these bigger explosives but i have to find them randomly in the water which for some reason there's just a ton of explosives in the water and now for this part we have to take out some of these guys before we'll spawn some more random penguins and then we just completely ignore them so we're just gonna walk through them because i don't really feel like fighting right now yeah we get to go for a joyride just like a father and son joyride and we're also going to shoot these buttons so we can open the skate oh my gosh look at all those penguins that freaked me out i have to bring over this bomb come on oh perfect launch that was the coolest thing i've ever seen in my life that was beautiful so we get two more buttons right here i can click that one okay you got to make sure to follow me over here so i don't despawn and break the game wait for me wait for me okay i'm waiting perfect oh my gosh was so clean why are we so good and now all that's left is going to be the boss battle which is one of the most annoying boss battles in the game so we have to use these bombs to hit different parts of the ship but like i said this ship part is really jank so sometimes it's hard to control the bombs and get them to go exactly where you want them to but i'm doing a pretty good job so far you know you say that and then you do this you like hit all your shots perfectly yeah you know it's called lowering expectations wow that one's not gonna work okay that's what i mean that one didn't exist in my eyes oh yeah true true okay please game just work with me just work with me just hit the thing perfect wait that didn't count oh my goodness can you believe that okay we got that one boom that's going to be the back and now we go for the front i hopefully don't get these penguins though um these guys are so annoying yeah the random penguins do not help with the jankiness of this level but at this point i think the developers realize how weird of a level and kind of bad it feels to play this so they decided for the last two hearts all we have to do is just shoot the ship until it goes down which is kind of funny bye bye penguin yeah there we go that's another one done now we have one of my favorite levels because i get to do a couple of really cool things first of all i want to switch to robin and i have a pretty precise jump where i jump in right there and for some reason just teleport past the gate all the way into this part of the game usually we would have to do a lot more stuff but then i can also make this jump if i guys can you get out of my way oh my gosh you please you gotta kill him okay come on robin robin come on dude okay there we go so we were able to take care of those guys now i can just defeat these guys as well meanwhile batman is just sitting all the way in the starting room and uh i don't have to do anything awesome but it's time for another little trick where i'm going to use the really wonky physics in this game to get through here so i can do that boom and there we go that's another loading zone which means it's time for me to use the wonky physics again we have no idea why that works but it does so that wasn't a cut either that was just a straight teleport right yeah the game is pretty cool and now speaking of straight teleports here is going to be another one if i can get it oh come on you got it so this is really precise we take out the batarang oh there we go perfect perfect that took us a second but we were finally able to get it now purple hair guy can come back into the game yeah he finally gets to play after me trying to do that for a while and we're gonna set up a couple more things so we can get some stairs ready and set so i'm gonna be able to fly right over here and with the water rising i can then go and build something and then turn on a switch as well meanwhile robin is just chilling out killing crocodiles because he really doesn't like them yeah they scare me so now i can fly all the way back here and he's gonna drop out again see you later bye bye again i guess because i have another cool flying thing to do robin's gonna try to follow me but yeah you're too slow man i'm gonna catch you later dude please no no okay that's fine that's fine sometimes mistakes happen it's fine yeah these flies are very specific and very easy to mess up but so far we've been doing pretty well so i'm proud of it oh and it's time for the dumbest boss fight in the game basically for this boss fight you just hit this guy a couple times and then just wait so he's gonna now decide to throw three different things at me and i can just sit here and do nothing love this boss fight so much yeah because now he's done throwing things at me and i can combo him again and then he's gonna jump back in i'm gonna die just because it's fun and we'll repeat it now this is what i call gameplay but finally we can finish off the boss fight right here with one more three combo and there we go that's another villain gone so with this one this one has a lot of cool tricks so right away we're gonna go right into here and take care of some of these guys okay so i can do some cool platforming up there and then i'm going to do something else cool where basically i go i get through there using the boomerang i turn off vertical sync and then we just basically go right through the stage which i also realize you could only pretty much half see because uh vertical sync it didn't work with my obs but basically we just went through the wall that's all that really happened so like when i turn back on vertical sync there we go now the menu's starting again so you'll see what it looks like in a bit because we use this multiple times throughout the run so now we have another cool trick where i'm gonna almost completely build this we'll do one more and then i'll build that boom go under the map and get a new suit without having to do a lot of extra stuff that we would normally have to do and now it's time for purple hair guy to do a hard jump there's a crocodile just murdering me right now please get this jump there we go first try for some reason we're now out of the winter time and we're in like a swamp with alligators going around you know i never even realized that what is going on in this place i don't really know but it doesn't matter we're just gonna swim like dolphins make your best dolphin impersonation purple air guy did that come through the mic i hope not that was horrible rate his dolphin impersonation one out of ten in the comments okay so now we have to make it up here now that i have my bomb suit and we're just not gonna worry about all these guys because they look like too much trouble and all we're gonna do is place a bomb and uh uh what happened go destroy my bomb go straight up robin will do the job destroy the bomb there we got it okay that's what we were trying to do and now it's time for the wombat fight or is this the it's the it's the man bat okay whatever his name is that's a wombat what we have to do is use the power of sound to make his ears hurt and then we can beat him up because that's called being a hero and then after that he's gonna destroy our stuff so we're just going to build it again oh my gosh perfect we're going to use the power of sound push it round him oh wait that's gross oh that was way too close we are so good at this easiest fight in the game let's go all right it's time for the last level of world five right away we're gonna come over here i have to make a ladder so i can make it up here so hopefully robin will be able to protect me i guess no one's attacking us but usually there's someone to protect me from and i have to do a very precise fly over here i can't lose too much height and do another one where i really can't lose too much height but okay that was perfect and it's already time for the boss fight where we have to take care of the penguin and so i'm gonna move that slightly over in preparation remember purple guy we have to get the top things you got you got it you got it yeah so we do that to do a little bit of damage to the penguin and yeah he like dances he's getting damaged it's pretty cute but then he takes out penguins out of his hat which are going to explode his own penguin machine i don't really know what's going on in this boss fight it's so strange yeah i i seriously can't figure it out either so but he'll turn back on his machine so that's pretty cool i guess and we can just destroy it again he did not learn his lesson all right throw it back up there boom boom yeah and now we're gonna reposition this machine so we can get rid of some more penguins and he's doing his little dance again yeah push that a little bit more destroy another one of those and we have to take care of uh the cat lady catwoman okay he's gonna start his machine again so we have to do this again and now he's going to dance one more time he just really loves dancing and finally he's gonna get on his umbrella and this means we can start taking him out so what we wanna do is hit him off his umbrella so he's gonna come after us which boomers get him i got him i got him so what we're going to do is guide him over here yeah but yeah we did it we're so good what a beautiful boss fight so that's world 2 done so as soon as the cutscenes end again we're going to be doing pretty much the exact same run as last time so not too much to say about this but i am going to beat up this butler and this means it's finally time for the joker but first before that we have to do the mad hatter and with this one this has some really cool tech that we're going to be going through first of all we have this thing we're just gonna skip past the gate which is kind of hilarious now once i make it up here we're gonna get another flight suit which as you have already seen multiple times it makes this game very broken and this time what we're gonna do is i'm gonna do another one of these extended flies to make it over this poison gas before then climbing up this ladder and doing a really crazy trick where basically i want to climb over here and i want to use the boomerang to mess up my hitbox then i use the options things turn vertical sync off which i'm gonna wait just so you can see what happens and then as soon as it resumes i can jump out of there and yeah the trick is kind of insane we love that so now i can push a couple of things over but you can see there's a bunch of poisonous glue so how are we gonna get through all this poisonous glue to do the building that we're gonna need to do first of all what i wanna do is just kinda die but then after this is the sequence of events we jump in here build a little bit until we start oh whoa that was really good i'd even die there oh how did you do that that has never happened before that was really how did you do that okay i'm astounded now see that's what normally happens we keep dying over and over again but we're gonna take that that was super fast i'm i'm actually like awestruck that was so cool okay i just have to get these three last little pieces come on batman you got this he can do that and now i can press these two buttons try not to die before then there we go that's what we needed to do yeah and now i can just go through this door and not die somehow but then gets shot right away i already knew that was going to happen so we have a little bit of platforming but when i say we i mean just me because purple hair guy is pretty much just sitting out for this level i love these stages because i don't want to play but also i don't get to play lego batman so that's kind of a dub and an l at the same time they are kind of the hardest stages for me platforming wise though because i have a lot of crazy stuff that you're about to see first of all i have that little fly which isn't too bad and we see those guys just die and now here's a hard trick where i have to make it over here first of all and then do another extended fly to just make it up this elevator which i missed over but i can recover it by dying and now i can try this again and then make it up that time okay all right good thing we recovered it otherwise it would have been a little bit more platforming no one wants to do that now after this we make it to the next area where of course we're gonna do another big skip so first of all i take out these guys or they take out me because they're actual monsters and then these guys are also going to come over so i will have to take them out too just because they're going to get annoying and try to shoot me if i don't but after that i'm going to turn on vertical sync which of course i have to wait a second so people can actually see what i'm doing but now what we're going to do is i'm gonna jump up here get that and then do another one of these extended flies to the perfect spot and that was perfect usually this takes a couple of tries because you can't be too good at the extended fly but you also can't be too bad at it okay there we go finally got it so now i get on an invisible floor and i can use that to fly all the way over here which took a little bit too many tries but that's also a really hard trick and we also only have to open that part way so i can just make my head through it and there we go time for the next boss fight which this is a really funny one first i'm going to destroy this stuff while robin is going to do he killed me oh he killed you oh my god he killed me i didn't realize and now he runs he's the slowest runner in the world we have to watch this entire cutscene every single time but as soon as he makes it back to his place i can finish up this build and go up this thing and now what i'm going to want to do is another extended fly and we do this really weird thing where i kind of just push him off and yeah it does damage to him for some reason oh he got me so now we just beat him up he's gonna try to hypnotize us but he sucks and now at this point we're both gonna go up here and we're pretty much just gonna finish him off we can step on this stuff and then we're gonna jump over there so now we can finish him off after he goes into his own bat of acid and yeah there we go oh that was too easy for us this boss fight is my least favorite part of the game all right don't just start with that the level's pretty cool yeah but the boss fight you'll see why in just a second the level's sweet i think the level's really cool well because you don't have to do the hard part oh yeah i know i love it it's literally the best part of me playing this game is that i don't have to do the hard stuff oh gosh all these people are coming in here we were just trying to get my suit so i could get a bomb oh nice all right we're gonna have to beat up all these guys otherwise they'll try to get in our way but we have to build these things up so that i can bomb them in a second so i can do that boom and easy now you have to leave he always forgets for this level yeah it's i okay i don't expect to leave all the time i mean i totally do but okay this is a very precise jump which oh no yep there we go that was the jump we needed and with that we skipped some more of the level and now i can take care of these guys because any extra enemies just always make time be so much slower but i guess also dying does that to you too and i also want to take care of this box before i then go and i'm going to switch my vertical sink back to off and these guys decide to come up but we're gonna use this trick again where we do that this one is kind of awkward because sometimes you won't get the necessary height to go up okay come on come on robin we believe in robin okay oh let's go okay barely made it that time a little too close for comfort but it works out now you can spawn back in his batman yep here i am and we have some building to do oh you're not covering me very well okay there's a lot of guys with guns i'm trying they got me you can't just say i'll cover you with the no the stuff restarted maybe i maybe i lied maybe i lied okay well now i can open up this door and it's time for this amazing boss fight the thing about this one is we just have to follow harley quinn over and over again so she's gonna eventually get dizzy we can punch her and yeah now it's time to follow her again which actually one of us should follow her and the other one stays on the opposite side just so we're closer to her at all times but after that one she's then going to put all these guys so we can just take them out pretty easily and hey guess who's back but this time you don't just have to chase her once but twice so she's gonna do that she's gonna flip again and now we have to chase her another time oh my gosh okay so he's got it right there and yeah that was two times time for another two times to do a single heart of damage i like making her confused by getting in between us two it is pretty fun yeah there's not too much to say about this fight the next time we have to take care of all these guys and yeah this is pretty much just the intermediary part the in between how would you say that i don't know intermediate no no no uh i don't know intermission yeah it's the internet it's a nice intermission but now guess what you thought two times to be chasing this girl around over and over again was a long time how about three so this time we're just gonna be chasing her three times for each heart which it's just such a fun boss fight oh it's so fun yeah we're just gonna skip to the end oh yeah also purple hair guy is going to drop out basically so hopefully we don't get the same glitch that we got earlier where the game just breaks and doesn't allow one of us to play so we're trying to prevent that by getting him out right now but we'll see if it actually works it usually doesn't steam remote play is so well made yeah it's time for the plane level because of course with every one of these there has to be at least one vehicle level and this time we're going after the scarecrow so right away i'm gonna go over here and i'm gonna get a couple of bombs and i can use that bomb on this thing and then we get a really long and obnoxious cutscene yeah we watch this missile go you know just swirl around a lot but then we also have to watch this missile come all the way down and yeah it's such a great cutscene oh i love that cutscene but now i have to do some pretty specific movement where i don't okay i messed that up but i can fix it no no wait you try coming in no it broke the game okay i'm gonna try this one more time we'll see if i can get the smooth move no okay no no no no no oh no it's fine it's fine yeah we have to restart the level that's fine all right this game is so broken okay third time has to be the charm we all know that and there we go that is all i needed to do yep so anyway we skipped that entire cutscene and skipped the game just breaking on us so we could actually complete it hooray now what i'm going to want to do in this area is all we have to do is take care of two more towers and because we kept these two other bombs we're just able to pretty easily do that so i do that one right there i do that one right there and that's going to open up for me oh boy now i get to play yeah he finally gets to come back in hopefully um or not okay we love this game it felt like breaking again that's fine that's fine fine we're good we're good it's all okay so what we're gonna have to do is i'm just gonna have to play as both of these people because the game really likes us struggling okay yep just die there we go hello okay the replay is done breaking and breaking over and over all right we have to do the strap where we back out again the good thing is that should be our last crash at least so i guess but anyway time for the next level which is going to be number four so now we have this trick where i have to go through this trash can with the boomerang like usual like usual yeah it's just it's just a normal thing for batman at this point this one is very tricky though because sometimes he'll get that like falling animation and it won't work okay that's it there we go that's what we wanted to see now we can do the vertical sync thing like usual and then i'm going to resume jump right away to make it out of here and there we go that's perfect and now we just go through the back of the level this is going to skip a couple cutscenes and things like that for us so it's just a nice and easy trick and yeah because we don't have any cutscenes i can kind of just run through here and not really care just say hi to all the local people but it's time for me to play more yeah you still not to play but before that i do have to turn vertical sync back on but now when we return i will make this jump make it up this light and then go up here and then i have to make this jump as well this is just kind of some tricky platforming because now we go in the fish tank and i be just on the edge of the fish tank which is very easy to fall off it but there we go that's going to be me making it up and now it's time for one more kind of scary jump where i make it on there and then we do this cool trick where i'm going to dive into this he's going to spawn i can then drop out and then respawn and then you're going to drop out okay and now i get to be batman because it's time for another messed up trick just like usual and this one is probably one of the hardest ones in the game i feel like i've said that about a lot of these tricks but yeah they're all hard so i have to get through there and then what i do is i'm going to do the vertical sink thing again and i will basically spam jump and then try to make it through there that one didn't work because like i said this one is very hard to get working but we will try your best that one looks really good this should be the vertical sink we need and oh just made it through the loading screen and that is going to be another skip but it's time for yet another one already time to turn vertical sync on again and with this one now i'm going to be using robin so first i want to get that guy out of my way and this is a very specific trick so i want to go through here and i actually just missed it there so we'll have to reset i can do that by just walking back with batman and then going back to robin and we want to use this to where robin's head is just above there this one might work off to see but then he goes through there i can jump through there go around this fire in that building because that's actually a solid object and we just make it all the way through there and yeah these skips are actually insane i wasn't lying when i said this game is broken but it's time for the next boss fight which is going to be against this moth guy i want to switch to batman and then i'm going to go and get this and purple hair guy's going to come back in and i'm going to have to use batman's bomb so i can open up the suit for robin he'll also be right away trying to murder me thank you very much i failed but i tried you tried your best that's all we can really care about so i can explode these bombs and then start making this machine which then he's going to be able to use his technology suit to do stuff with at least as soon as it gets power go over there here we go okay okay i'm on i'm on it i'm spending it okay really hard i got it i got it oh i'm so good at spinning yeah that was pretty impressive i'm not gonna lie so now we just wait here and i also can set down a bomb because you know i'm batman that's just what i do and as soon as that goes he's now going to have to take care of the boss why i'm gonna push this thing so i had to set up that box over there so we could get this power and now i can just take care of these guys while purple hair guy goes and does his technology stuff again like a nerd oh come on and yeah there we go now there's going to be a light bulb that turns on so the moth dude is like ooh a light bulb and then he dies so that's pretty much what happens i mean i can't deny it that is exactly what happens now it's time for the very last stage where this time we have to take out the joker so right away at the start it's time to turn vertical sync back on because that helps us with jumping and then i'm gonna come over here and i have to do some kind of precise jumps the camera in this level is really annoying too to work with but i have to make these jumps get right up there so that i can open up a window and harley quinn is going to be able to come through and you know she's just going to be a regular maniacal self but instead of doing this level the way you're supposed to because why would we do that instead it's time for another trick so he's gonna come up here and then jump and then i'm going to go turn vertical sync off another one of these tricks press resume and he gets the power somehow and there we go we have a suit now now after this it's time to shoot harley quinn with like water guns because for some reason she's terrified of them which i got her first let's go but now i'm gonna rebuild my machine while he's hitting her because that is going to be important because we need one more water gun but he can go up there i can now take care of harley quinn by just trying to shoot her again come on there we go and she's gonna escape but drop us something so we can get up and go after her and it's now time for purple hair guy to really shine this is the purple hair guy part this is the me hero part i'm so excited so first of all i go through this joker box and i'm going to make a machine so he can go through and now it's time for me to drop out good luck purple hair guy oh no i'm sweating already i'm drenched i'm wearing a gray sweatshirt and it's it's like dark gray now it was like i do not need to hear whatever you're saying right now anyway he's gonna keep chasing after harley and now it's time for him to do a glitch i know for the most part it's been me doing him but you know purple hair guy he's gotta earn his key uh okay so i double jump off that wall and walk into the wall and then i just keep walking into the wall and then i jump and i and i fail it i fail it it's okay it's okay you still have time let's go i got this i got this i got this this part is very annoying because you can very easily fall here and we don't really know why okay jump jump wall wall wall wall this is commentary jump and we got it okay skip the cutscene skip the cutscene oh yeah yeah skip skip skip so my controller is also broken now so it's all up to you i got this i got this don't worry about it so yeah sometimes when this happens i mean you've already seen it so many times the controllers just break so this time it's all up to purple hair guy i just get to commentate this is my hero moment this is his hero moment i'm batman for real this time oh i screwed up my hero moment all right it's already messed up all right here moment number two here what you have to do is you have to put both the weight on these people so you can bonk both harley quinn and the joker then i become robin and i run over here and then i'm going to push this platform usually we do this together but i push the platform and set it up to where i can use it as a jumping platform i hate getting caught on things okay all right all right this is it i walk up the wall batman get up here okay oh all right that was that was baloney that was baloney bonk all right i got him i got him all right and now it's time for the most exhilarating part of this entire speed run so joker decides that he's going to send a plane out here and use joker's helicopter you just said joker's plane and then helicopter whatever it's going to be why are you judging me don't worry about it i just i was just hearing what i was hearing all right okay go go go go all right so he's gonna have to shoot this plane multiple times and yes this is the entirety of the gameplay he just aims right in the middle the plane or helicopter whatever it is is gonna come hit him and yeah we just repeat this over and over again i love this fight so this is also the perfect time to say if you've been enjoying the video and you've
