the word of faith for my life faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god and i shall be all the better after having heard god's word come on give him praise one more time hallelujah now we are about to begin uh another installment this is installment number five of uh of prevailing in prayer prevailing in prayer and we have two foundational texts we've been using for the entirety of this series and i'm going to ask you to stand to your feet and let's take a look at these two passages one comes from luke chapter 11 and verse number one when the disciples of jesus were watching him as he prayed and when he finished praying there was something so powerful so dynamic about his prayer that they said lord teach us to pray as john also taught his disciples to pray and then the next one deals with our being effective in prayer so are you ready to read all right let's go now it came to pass as he was praying in a certain place that when he had ceased one of his said to him lord teach us to pray amen we don't know do you know the bible says that we don't know how to pray as we ought but the spirit himself maketh intercession for the saints of god not according to our will but according to god's will because you see our will in the situation may be a long ways from god's will in a situation the next verse comes from james james chapter 4 it says where do wars and fights come from among you do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members you lust and do not have you murder and covet and cannot obtain you fight in war yet you do not have because you do not ask now watch this you ask and do not receive because you ask amiss that you may spend it on your own pleasures amen and amen all right you guys um may be seated that's james four and one through now the bible tells us that our prayer um our prayer time is not supposed to be a frustrating time for us a lot of people don't go into prayer with a confident attitude it's sort of like hit or miss it's like throwing spiritual dice hoping that god is going to answer your prayer but first john chapter 5 14-15 says this and this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will then we have a guarantee that he hears us and if he hears us then we know that we have been granted those petitions when we pray you see and so you need prayer shouldn't be frustrating the bible says that elijah was a human being just like we were but yet he prayed and it didn't rain for three and a half years it says that the effectual fervent prayer you see and so that's what we want to do we want our prayers to be effective and we want them to be prevailing and that's why we've been talking about prevailing prayer and so when we started we talked about what an honor and what a privilege it is to be able to talk to have you all ever thought about this what an honor and privilege it is to be able to talk to and communicate with the creator of the entire universe that is a privilege and there is power in prayer but you have to believe and you have to know that there is power in prayer and many people cancel what they're praying by what they're saying you ask for one thing but then when you get up your behaviors in your mouth cancel what you just asked god for and so also we've learned that we don't know how to pray as we are the holy spirit has to structure our prayers so that our prayers line up with god's will and if you ever want to know that your prayers are in line with god's will learn how to pray scripture because he said my word would not come back to me empty or bored and so we talked about that and then we talked about jesus teaching them how to pray can i tell you something before i say that if we have ever needed to know as a church how to be effective in prayer this is that hour did you hear me this is that hour can i tell you something prayers have caused god to change his mind about what he was going to do because whether you know it or not whether you accept it or whether you embrace it everything that's happening in this earth nothing happens except god allows it and so whatever we're dealing with now whatever we're going through god has a reason a purpose and a plan and he has allowed it but i know this one thing that when you pray when you pray god will adjust his plan when you pray sometimes god will relent he will change his mind about what he's doing and we need to learn how to pray not only how to pray but become effective in prayer and so jesus taught them because you all know the prayer we call it the lord's prayer but it's really the apostles prayer and the first thing that he told them he said when you pray say our father you see and so when we pray we're not just speaking aimlessly to some god that we don't know because not only is he our god he is our father the bible says beloved now see many of you can't embrace this that we are children of the almighty god the bible says beloved now you are the children of god and it does not yet appear what you shall be but when he comes we know that you're going to be just like him and so we pray from the strength of relationship jesus said if you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children how much more will your heavenly father give good things to them that love him and you have to understand something about god god is not like our natural fathers he's not a deadbeat father he's not a father who forgets about you he is the father who will provide for you he will take care of you he will protect you and so when we pray realize and know this god is going to take care of his children if no other parent on the face of the planet takes care of their children you have to rest in this one fact no matter what happens my heavenly father is going to take care of me then he said our father who ought in heaven hallowed be thy name then we begin to talk about the power in the name or names of god the bible says that because jesus submitted himself that god has given him a name that's above every name that can be named that at the name of jesus every knee must bow and every tongue must confess as a matter of fact our prayers are ineffective unless we use the name of jesus jesus said there's going to come a day when you will ask me nothing he said but you will ask the father in my name and my father will glorify my name another scripture says that the name of the lord is a strong tower the righteous can run into it and find safety see you may not have the time to put together a theologically correct prayer a long prayer that's filled with these or vows or oh most holy but you can't just scream jesus and i'm here to tell you that when you are between a rock and a hard place let something break loose in your life real real quick when you call on the name of jesus i told you he's faster than a speeding bullet faster than a local he will jump over all kinds of stuff when you call on the name of jesus are you listening to me there's healing in the name there's deliverance in the name there's salvation in the name there's power in the name prosperity in the name all in the name of jesus and then we looked at the titles of the names because he said hallowed be thy name when i hallowed the name of jehovah jireh that is to say that god will supply my needs because jehovah jair means the lord will supply you see when i hallowed the name of jehovah shalom that means that the peace of god which passeth all understanding i'm calling him my peacemaker when i hallowed the name of jehovah nessie i am saying that my god will fight for me lift up your heads oh ye gates and be lifted up ye everlasting doors and the king of glory he will come in who is this king the lord the lord mighty in battle and so many of you are tired right now because you're fighting battles that god never designed you to fight sometimes god will say stand still and see the salvation of the lord i'm here to tell you that no weapon that's formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you in judgment thou shall condemn the god that i serve he's a keeper by day in the shelter by night hallelujah amen you need to know that hallowed be thy name and then he said thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven and we talked about what it means when he says thy kingdom come first of all jesus said the kingdom of heaven shall not come with observation it's not a geographical location that you can go to he said the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of god is where is within me that means when i establish the rule the governance and the authority of god in my own life instead of you trying to make other folk obey god when are you going to obey him jesus said this jesus said why do you call me lord listen king dumb a king and a domain okay in other words if the kingdom of god is established in me that means i submit to the authority of the king you see and the power of the kingdom is released not through your preaching not through your singing not through your laying on of hands the power of the kingdom of heaven on the inside of you is released through our submission see when you submit yourself to god that's when he will fight for you you've heard the scripture before resist the devil and he will flee you no he will not that's not how that goes the entire scripture in its context says this submit yourself to god that's the first thing when i submit myself to god to his word to his will for my life and then i resist see your submission is your resistance and when you submit to the will of god he will he cannot touch you are you getting anything out of the word of god so far and so now we're at the place where where he says give us this day our daily bread okay now so let's go ahead and pick up with this and uh and get this message to you today if you are an adult or even if you are a young teenager at some point in life we all wonder how our needs are going to get met is there anybody out there you've never been concerned about your bills you know where you're going to live or anything like that now our kids can do that because they're staying under our roof when you have little young kids they don't worry about that but when you leave the house and you get introduced to a bill and his brothers you know is there anybody out there that's ever had more month than money and and even when we do have enough a lot of times we find ourselves being concerned about will i have enough for my loved ones will i have enough after i'm gone to leave something behind for them because the word of god says that a righteous person leaves an inheritance for his children's children and children and so you know am i going to get laid off of my job especially when we live in times like this you know is it inflation or is is the bottom going to drop out it is my moratorium on my mortgage going to be canceled and so we find ourselves being preoccupied with things that are really god's responsibility i'm going to say it again we find ourselves see there's absolutely nothing wrong with being concerned about your future and how everything is going to go but you don't want your concerns to turn into worries how many of you have ever laid awake at night wondering about how those meet how those needs are going to be met how am i going to send my kids to college what am i going to do about my housing situation will i have a car to go to work will i have enough money to buy the work clothes the attire that i need to work the job that we're always concerned about all of these things but yet he said he would give us our daily bread now let me show you something god doesn't want you worried about things that are his responsibility ephesians chapter 4 6-8 because we worry about this a lot i mean even right now um i'm getting ready to do do some things with my estate planning and whatnot and revamp it because i want to make sure that if something happens to me that my legacy of faith and my financial legacy of faith continues even after i'm gone okay um so there's absolutely nothing wrong with with planning for the future and being concerned but you don't want that concern to turn into a worry you see and so god says this he says be not anxious where's my scripture no that that's not uh hold on i gave you all the wrong scriptures at philippians you should be looking at philippians 4 6 and 8. i think i said the wrong one philippians 4 6 and 8 be anxious for nothing or be careful for nothing but in everything with prayer supplement here it is be careful for nothing okay guys let me stop for a moment you got to get the word in you okay you need to have enough of god's word in you so that on wednesday when the enemy attacks you about how you're going to meet that financial need that it doesn't throw you into a tizzy all day long simply because the letter came you see be careful for nothing but in everything by what that's the first thing supplications with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto god okay now watch this and the peace of god be careful what you do what you dwell on i made a post this week and i said i have never seen more people around me leave this earth i've never before seen i mean it's like i get a call one day somebody's passed i get a break one day then i get another call somebody else suspect i mean this has been happening i mean just from us and you have to be careful that you don't let that stuff put you in a place where you ought not to be because there is a spirit now that stalking church members is called the spirit of oppression not depression but it's a twin of depression but that's another teaching all right and the peace of god which passeth you have a peace that doesn't even make sense and the peace of god that passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through christ jesus in other words go to sleep at night and leave it in god's hands just leave it there you already realize you can't fix it you can't correct it go to sleep and let him handle it doesn't make sense for both of us to stay awake the bible says he that watcheth over israel neither slumbers nor sleep so if god if you're going to stay awake i'm going to sleep finally brethren and here's where we mess up finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just what sort of things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things of a good report if there be any virtue if there be any praise think on these things your meditation what do you think about you see because worry is nothing more than demonic meditation and worry gives birth to fear false evidence appearing real but you see we walk by faith and not by sight and that's why it's so important during this season in the earth that we're going through that you stay inundated you stay inundated with the word of god stay in an environment that boosts your faith stop worrying about cnn and fox and all kinds of stuff like this get in the word of god feed your faith and starve your fears now psalms 145 and 16 god doesn't want you worrying about stuff it's his responsibilities i'm going to say it again god does not want you worrying about things that are his responsibility i'm your father i'm going to take care of you now watch this you open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing i'm talking about my daddy my heavenly father and give us this day our daily bread you open your hand do you know what that scripture means when god opens his hand he sustains all that he everything that he has sustained eats from his hands okay let me make this how many of you hate roaches i can't stand them yeah walk into a room at night don't hold your hand because people know you have roaches but you're walking in late at night and you see one of those big jokes you hit the light on he does like you don't see me okay now okay even the crumbs that that roach forages for is god's provision for him everything that god creates he sustains the little fish eat the plants a bigger fish eats that fish and a bigger fish eats that fish and god makes sure even the have you ever seen a pigeon with his arm and a sling with a little crutch downtown we'll fly for food why he takes care of the listen god opens his hand and he takes care of the fowls of the air there's an insect that's on this planet that if you bother me with this insect i will bust a cap in you and that okay and that is a spider i'm not gonna say i have any kind of phobias or nothing that i don't do with the fear thing but i do not like spiders bother me don't do that stuff you see on youtube and and on instagram where you faking people out with brother because bullets are real so don't fake me out with that okay now but think about this even the things that you abhor the most god takes care of them he gave them the ability to create perfect geometric angles and to create these awesome webs that trap their foods the cycle of life god opens his hands and now think about this if god is concerned about roaches fish rats he said how much more will he take listen he's going to take care of you and you have to understand that when god i'm going to talk about elijah in just a few minutes you may not eat steak every day you may not eat flagra you may not be able to go to a seven star a restaurant and experience seven different settings and and know what in the boost and all of this stuff is but guess what fall is full you will be just as full if god only provides you with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for that particular time if you eat a steak or whether you eat that pb j both leave you with a sensation of being satiated and full i have things that i that i eat at my house that i buy i call it the bread of affliction because they're things i used to eat when i couldn't afford you know different things and uh and like right like right i have viennas somebody go what what's a vienna pastor it's a okay vienna sausage in that little blue can okay made out of stuff that you can't even read on the back of the can but if you get full off of that can of vietnamese what's the difference over getting full off of that can of beans and over some crap either way you're still full right so no matter how god fills us up he daily provides for us every single day [Applause] and it's kind of funny because most of us especially when we're fasting you know people talk about i'm so hungry you are not hungry okay you are not starving you have at least a month of reserves sitting right around here but if you just get liquid and drink you'll be okay trust me you will survive okay now let's let's talk about something now god's god's provision for us believe it or not is revealed in the character of his name abraham called him jehovah jireh okay now when you talk about give us this day our daily bread and abraham calling him jehovah jared do you know that every trial every difficult time and every situation that god allows to show up in your life is a situation where if you get still enough and quiet enough you will see and you exhibit faith you will see the glory of god displayed and manifested in your situation now what do i mean by that let me show you something let's take a look at genesis chapter 22 in verse verse number one i want to show you where this word uh this name jehovah jireh we say it all the time the lord shall provide all the money where did that come from it came from a difficult experience that someone else went through abraham waited almost all of his life for a child and god finally gave him a child name was isaac and god waited on purpose until that boy got in his teenage years old enough to know the difference between right and wrong and god came to abraham and he said this he said abraham abraham he was testing abraham he said i want you to sacrifice your only son abraham god okay i want to show you all this because isaac wasn't a little baby isaac had enough sense to know okay we're going to a place of sacrifice and god he said daddy he said i see the wood for the sacrifice and he said daddy i see the fire for the sacrifice but daddy we we're supposed to be going to offer a lamb to god he said i don't see no lamb abraham said the lord will provide for himself a lamb but i want to show you this narrative let's let's let's take a look at it because there's stuff we can glean from this genesis 22 1-8 and it came to pass after these things that god did tempt abraham have you ever wondered why um when we pray we should pray this and lead us not into temptation most of you have been saying that all your life when you pray but you don't understand the spiritual significance behind it and lead us not into temptation do you know the bible says that jesus was led in the wilderness to be tempted for 40 days see if you understand god's testing you really don't want to go through it until you're ready so lead us not into temptation okay and it came to pass after these things that god did temper abraham and said unto him abraham and he said behold here i am and he said take now thy son thine only son isaac whom thou lovest and get thee into the land of moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which i tell thee of and abraham rose up early in the morning and saddled his uh his ass donkey whatever the case and took two of his young men with him and isaac his son enclaved the wood for the burnt offering and rose up and went unto the place of which god had told him then on the third day abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place can you imagine three days i have to walk with my only son i have to look at you while i'm walking and think about the command that god has given me in my heart that i have not told you i waited 75 years for you and every day i'm walking with you thinking about what i have to do a whole lot of folk would have turned around and went back in those three days because we would have talked ourselves out of it how many times have you heard something at the altar and then later on that night when you got still was that god or was that my mind okay and on the third day abraham lifted up his eyes and he saw the place afar off and abraham said unto his young men stop trying to take people where god called you abraham said unto his young men abide ye here with the ass and i and the lad will go yonder in worship and come again with you there's a couple of reasons that he told them that remember i said you can't take other people where god has called you okay what would those men have done not understanding the commandment knowing abraham and knowing isaac when they saw him draw back his hand what do you think they would have done they would have tried to see that's what i'm telling you there are some people that don't even understand the commandment that god has given you stop trying to take people where god called you because he didn't call them so he says you stay here but wait wait back back up that's a full verse he said and i and the lad will go yonder now don't miss this and my sacrament jesus my sacrifice is my worship that's one thing your sacrifice is your worship but look at what he said we're coming again i don't know how god jesus have mercy i don't know how god is going to do this but you all stay here we're going to worship and just like you see us go we're coming back which means that abraham the bible says abraham did not stagger at the promises of god through unbelief but he was strong in faith being fully convinced that god was able to do exactly what he promised the bible says that abraham believed that even if i kill this boy the same god that gave him to me will be the same god that raised him back up so see you've got to be resolute in your faith your faith has to be fixed on god and he goes up there all right and and i'm i'm taking two okay we'll take our time so he took the wood the fire burn off and i don't know the sun and they went both together and isaac spoke unto abraham's father this kind of funny to me and and he said my father he said here i am my son he said now behold he said the fire and the wood he said but where's the lamb for the burnt offering now abraham speaks of god's provision before god's provision shows up oh jesus you all missed that he speaks of god's provision before god's provision shows up do you have that kind of confidence in your holy spirit i may not have it right now but i guarantee you it may not have shown up in my life right now but i guarantee you when i need it it's going to be there that's why david said the lord is my shepherd i shall not want the word of god says in the new testament godliness with contentment it didn't say great gain was contentment it said godliness with contentment is great gain what does that mean i don't know how god is going to do it but my faith tells me he didn't bring me this far to leave me and whatever i need for my assignment whatever i need at this particular point in my life i can rest assured that god will give me what i need because he gives me daily my daily bread you guys hear me tell these testimonies over and over we started this church and the first high school auditorium back then it only required 500 but the man might as well have said 5 million because we didn't have 50. we were at prayer in the house one wednesday afternoon when we finished prayer someone came and knocked by the door and gave me an envelope and this is what they said pastor the lord told me to give you give you this he told me that this was not my harvest but my seed and just that quick they turned and they walked away when i opened the envelope now this person was not a part of our church didn't know where we were going or what our financial need was when we opened that envelope do you know what was in it 500 we got to a place where we were doing our renovations in this building where we had fallen behind budget and we didn't know how god was going to meet the shortfall and one day i was walking around here with some builders and contractors and a man came to see me but i didn't have time to meet with him and i felt so bad because i told him i would meet him at this particular time he was here over there and i said could you please go to the office let me take care of this i go to the office he says god told me to give you this he hands me a check the first number that i saw was a two okay and then i saw a zero and then i saw another zero and i kind of put it down then i looked at it again 200 and some thousand dollars that god god knows how to get you what you need but see you have people that don't sow but yet you want god to show up oh lordy be not deceived god is not mocked for whatsoever all right now um let's look at the go to verse 14 and genesis chapter 22 i want to show them something and abraham said and abraham called the name of that place because remember he had raised his hand the angel of the lord stayed his hands and and now i do know that my servant abraham does fear god and abraham looks behind him and there's a ram who has his horns entangled in this bush so god did exactly what he said my god shall supply a lamb for the sacrifice and he says i'm going to call him jehovah jireh the same god that provided abraham's ram in the bush will provide you a ram in the bush i dare you to trust him i have seen god do some crazy things i don't know if deborah remembers this but we had uh it was a burnt burnt orange monte carlo we were stationed over at patrick air force base and all of our money had run out so we would always drive over here because my family lives in altamonte springs we didn't have any money didn't have good credit didn't have a credit card i had less than a quarter of tank of gas but i didn't pay attention to it we just jumped in the car and we started heading to orlando about halfway through the trip that little bit y'all have never jumped in your car and didn't check the the thing about halfway through the trip the needle is past empty we're driving on fumes trying to get to orlando and night is falling and do you know what i did i didn't stop and ask somebody for help i prayed i said god i said just just keep me going until we get there god i have some super natural running out of gas testimonies that y'all wouldn't believe i had a new car one time living out there in lake nona and i forgot about it didn't know the uh the gas was right brand new car and and i was driving the car and all of a sudden the engine shut off i mean just stopped i thought the car was broken then i looked oh jesus i'm out of gas now listen i'm rolling under nothing more than the momentum of the car listen to me the next gas station is a mile down the road and i'm coasting god is my witness no engine no power the car coasted that entire mount then i had to turn into the turn lane right here because oncoming traffic was coming i didn't want to stop because if i stopped that was it god did that thing so that when i got in here the on it passed right by i turned in there okay say this is the gas pump my car pulled up to the gas pump not this way i pulled up right in front of it and it stopped boom right there [Applause] what i'm trying to tell you is god knows how to take care of you and can i tell you something god's ability to provide your daily bread has nothing to do with what's happening in the world's economy it doesn't matter who's in the white house it doesn't matter whether there's a recession or whether there's a depression or whether there is inflation if gas goes up to ten dollars a gallon god will make sure that his children earn 10 a gallon gas money and you will be able to give another testimony years ago i met a gentleman out on the street when i was witnessing one day never we were at the other church we went out witnessing i went out with him and when i saw him in a field he had a bag of liquor in his hand and when i walked towards him he started cussing me out he said man don't get get away with me with that jesus stuff get away from me and i finally caught up with him and i talked to him and i told him about jesus and i asked him to come to church for months i didn't see this guy i'm trying to make this long story short then i see him he comes to church still looking to shovel still smelling like alcohol and urine and all that stuff and i i went to him and i hugged his neck then i didn't see him for months later then the next time he came back his hair was cut he was well shaven and he had a woman with him and a child god had taken this man from sleeping under a car to stay warm not only to restoring his home and his family but have given them a brand new house not only that he was able to buy his own tractor trailer he called me back when gas was going crazy he said pastor i don't know what i'm going to do i said i almost called his name i said man let me tell you something if god blessed you with that blessing i don't care what your diesel fuel costs god's going to make sure you're able to earn it he called me back it wasn't a week later with this new con he's a pastor pastor let me what i'm trying to tell you is god will make a way we used to sing a song back in the church god will make a way somehow when beneath the cross i bow i don't need to know how you're going to work it out i don't need to know where the provision's coming from it it has nothing to do with what's happening in this world okay let me show you something else because see you all are looking at something that's not your source nothing in dc is your source the job that you're working believe it or not that is not your source all right first kings chapter 17 verse number one god's not concerned god god can give you your daily bread if he has to reign it out of heaven like manna i don't care how he has to get it to you trust me when i tell you he can get it to you y'all ever heard of elijah the tishbite elijah the tishbite who was of the inhabitants of galead said unto ahab as the lord god of israel liveth before whom i stand there shall not be due nor rain these years but according to my word three and a half years now understand the significance of this these people lived in an agrarian society and their economy was based on agriculture so whenever it didn't rain that was like a shutdown you remember when we were all locked in and every the economy was shut down well when god shut up heaven and it didn't rain everything financially shut down okay and the word lord came unto him saying get thee hence and turn eastward and hide thyself by the brook cherith that is before jordan jesus and it shall be that thou shall drink of the brook can we do at least a little bit of new king james today so we can he says and uh he said you shall drink from the book oh my people and i have commanded the ravens to feed you that jesus jesus god says now you got to understand this a raven is not a clean bird a raven is a scavenger cousin of a buzzard but even a buzzard will obey the voice of god he said i've commanded the raven let's keep reading so he went and now here's the key do you know what unlocked that supernatural blessing his obedience see that's why we miss sometimes it's not that god doesn't want to do for us we are hard-headed and we won't do what we're supposed to do in order to see the blessing come to pass and so he went and did according to the word of the lord for he went and stayed by the brook sheriff which flows into jordan now remember this is a drought it's not raining for three and a half years no food famine in the land the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning jesus and bread and meat in the evening and he drank from the brook now i want you to look at that next verse but then the brook dried up what happens when your brook dries up when your book dries up that means you're in a season of transition a season of uncertainty god tells them again to go to another supernatural source he went to a place where they were having a great famine he had to go into uh zarephath xerophath was where the woman who was trying to kill him her daddy was king in that land and god said i have commanded a listen to this i have commanded a widow woman to sustain you there he didn't send him to the bank he didn't send him to see a bill gates or warren buffett he sent them to a widow woman when he saw her she was gathering up a couple of sticks because the famine was so great that he had used all of her natural resources and she had only enough to make one little cake for she and her son and she said we're going to eat this and die and this greedy noah count preacher came to this dying widow and said before you eat make me a little cake first now i don't know why she did it but she did it god got in that woman's barrel and he got in her cruise and every time she scooped in that barrel that's cause normally you should hear something on the bottom every time she scooped that scoop never hit bottom every time she poured oil out of her cruce of oil when she looked at it again somehow god brought it back he will give us i know i'm right about it the bible tells me that the bible tells me that one day about 5 000 so don't let me start preaching but he tells me that one day there were about 5 000 souls not counting women and children and he asked the disciples he said give them something to eat and they did just like we did they begin to look at look at their natural means and their natural resources jesus there's no publix here jesus there is no ubereats here jesus there is no mcdonald's here jesus there's not even a listen what's that golden corral here where are we going to get this from a little boy who only had a two-piece fish dinner came up to jesus jesus took two fish five loaves give us this day our daily bread and he blessed those two fish he blessed those five loaves and this is what you need to understand the miracle of multiplication did not take place in his hands the miracle of multiplication took place in their hands and so when he put it in the disciples hands and they broke off fish and they broke off bread every time they broke off a piece god put it back have you ever seen god replenish your supply you thought you didn't have enough you paid everything you paid but then you went in the laundry you were doing clothes and while you were cleaning out the dryer oh there's a 20. up there's another 20. just what you needed to get gas he said i will supply your daily needs if you trust me [Applause] you know why some of you all are standing and cheering because you have been in that place where your ends didn't meet you didn't have enough money to take care of your financial obligations you didn't know where your next payment was coming from god touched somebody's heart and they came and not only provided what you needed they gave you more than what you needed why because he's a god of abundance he doesn't want you to have just enough he wants you to have more than enough give us this day our daily bread i'm telling you this because no matter what happens in this world god's economy is not affected by this world's economy go to genesis chapter 26 i'm almost done genesis chapter 26 let me tell y'all what this is about and you can go home and study it isaac was living in a land of famine and you know what he said there's no jobs here there's a famine here i'm going down to egypt it's it's it's economically better for me in atlanta so i'm gonna leave orlando and conversation we had a covenant relationship and i'm going to bless you because of what your daddy did see you don't understand there are some blessings even though your folks have gone on to glory they prayed a prayer about you before they left and god doesn't cancel prayers just because people die that thing is still out there in the realm of faith and god is going to supply the need even though your ancestors had prayed for it may not see that's how big of a god he is this is the land of famine the drowned is dry the ground is parts no rain is falling can you see isaac go out there by faith digging up dust in dry ground and putting his seed in dry ground not even having any water to water the seed but being obedient to what god has said the bible says in that same year that same man in a non-productive season reaped 100 fold why he obeyed god and he trusted god for his daily provision okay let's let's let's finish with this matthew chapter 6 i want to show you what the lord life pride i remember once we had started our church and and we weren't doing well at all um i went and i was working i was by vocational at that time and we still weren't doing well and we needed food and we just didn't have the money to get what we needed at that time and right off edgewater they used to have a facility for for hurting families and the right reverend dr marvin jackson they're standing before you now debra and i pulled our little car in there and we walked through that and we let those people give us that food because it doesn't matter where we can where it came from we ate and we were full what i'm trying to tell you is i've been some places in my life and i've been through some things in my life and i'm not just just preaching to you what what i read in a book i'm preaching to you what i have lived through i have seen god show up in awesome ways and i'm here to tell you god will take care of you whatever battalions therefore i say unto you listen to what jesus said don't worry about your life what you're going to eat what you're going to drink know about your body what you will put on it's not life more than food and the body more than clothing look at the birds have you ever see have you ever seen the birds look at the birds of the air for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns they don't have saving accounts they don't have sweep accounts they don't have investments or trading accounts they don't have 401ks they don't have none of that stuff and uh yet your heavenly father feeds them are you not of more value than that god says aren't you more important to me than a bird let's keep going which of you by worrying can add one cubic to your stature so why do you worry about clothing consider the lilies of the field how they grow they neither toil nor spin and yet i say to you that even solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed thank y'all like one of these next scripture now if god so clothed the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven will he not much more clothe you oh you of little faith therefore that this is what you need to catch the king james says therefore take no thought saying this says therefore do not worry saying when when you're really in a really difficult time be careful what you allow just because the thought comes doesn't mean you have to speak it as a matter of fact take no thought saying because the thought becomes personalized you take ownership over it when you articulate it and you begin to talk about your problems more than your provider when you begin to talk about what you're going through more than the god who's master of your storm you're in trouble so he says take no thoughts saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink or what shall we wear for all these things did the gentiles see you remember when we started jesus said pray our father what jesus is saying here the gentiles do not have a paternal relationship with me so therefore they're kind of on their own but he said i am your heavenly father you don't even have to concern yourself with the how many of you have ever had little hello grandson noah noah's not concerned about his clothes noah's not concerned about his shoes noah's about concern he's not concerned with what he's going to eat noah's not concerned with where he's going to stay noah knows that everything is somehow this little baby knows god wants us to have childlike faith and somehow know that regardless of what we're going through regardless of what our limited resources may look like the god who says that i'm his child and the god that i say is my father somehow he's going to come through and make sure that i have enough for after all these things the gentiles seek for your heavenly father knows that you have need of these things look at this but seek ye first you know there are a lot of urban things and colloquial things that come as the culture changes and one of the cultural i think people things that people were saying not too long ago is i'm chasing after the bag see that's your first mistake it sounds good chasing after the bag god says if you chase me the bag will chase you do you know in exodus god says if you will obey me he says that he will command his blessings on your life and his blessings will overtake you in the way which means just like i was on the golf course no how did this guy know i was going to be there i don't know who he is think about the chances of us crossing each other's path and who carries i i wanted to hit him in the head with a stick don't carry that amount of money in your pocket dude but who but he gave it to me so i couldn't all right but but he says if you will seek me first when you're not even thinking about it blessing will come and just something taps you on the shoulder yes yes yes who you blessing he said i'll bless you just like that he said but seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things shall be added he said i'll add them to your life if you will make the kingdom a priority if you will make your service to me and your relationship to me a priority marvin everything that you need he said even things that you haven't even thought of he said i'll cause those things to find you but therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow we'll worry about its own things sufficient for the day is its own trouble what does it mean about tomorrow will take care of itself let's close with this do you all remember when the children of israel came out of egypt they didn't have any food and they cried out to god and the first thing they said was this wood that we were back in egypt so that we could sit around the flesh pots and eat the fish in the leaks they forgot about their hard times see sometimes when life gets hard you want to go back a way that you came and so god says i'm going to cause something to happen i'm going to cause manna to fall remember we said daily bread so not only does god call the man of the fall but he says i need your faith and your obedience in this issue because this is daily bread he said only yet enough for today don't get enough for tomorrow or next week don't preserve it don't put it in mason jars don't try to store it up just get what you need for today okay they were so disobedient you know what they did they started low enough you know they it's like folks that come to re-pass or come to eating activities sometimes you never see them until it's time to eat then they're leaving with three or four plates and you want to just go and just trip them up when they leave you know and so oh man they just can you see them just walking around with plates of manner in plastic bags and just man oh girl we gonna eat good tomorrow we got man today and tomorrow do you know what happened when they some of y'all know about that you can't let some people come to the repass but the next day they got up and they looked in those containers and when they looked in those containers what happened trish maggots were all in god caused it to spoil what god is trying to tell us is the same thing that he told them i will give you what you need for the day that you're in don't be preoccupied about tomorrow do you know why jesus can come now don't worry about tomorrow take care of the moment that you're in did you get anything from the word of god today i pray i just want to know who i'm talking to today how many of you have seen god show up in miraculous ways providing for you look at those hands almost every single person has seen god come through with the miracle of provision well if he did it once you think he's going to stop whatever he did one time he's going to do it again and i want to tell you something about this season that we're in from a health standpoint put your mask on do what you're supposed to do do what you have strength and wisdom to do and the rest you let god take care of and it's gonna be okay father god we thank you for your word you are jehovah jireh the lord whose provision shall be seen among his people father i just asked a question about your faithfulness to provide in almost every single adult and even the hands of children were up in this place saying that you have proven yourself in times past to be a faithful provider and so god we say thank you and if you did it then you didn't bring us through all of that to just walk away and abandon us now and so father i pray that our faith would be quickened i pray that our faith would come alive knowing that you are our heavenly father and you are our source and you are our provider as a matter of fact the word declares that every good and every perfect gift it comes from you the father of lights and whom there's no variableness not shadow of turning so once again father we say thank you heads about eyes are closed people are praying god is so ahead of us that before an automobile was ever built he had already placed the oil in the earth before a plane had ever been engineered god had already placed the precious metals in the earth he always pre-positions things for us god knew that we were going to need a savior and the word of god says that he commended his love towards us and that while we were yet sinners christ died for the ungodly jesus christ has always has already made a way for you to experience abundant life and eternal life but you have to receive that gift remember we said that there is no other name given unto men whereby we must be saved the word of god says that with the heart we believe unto righteousness well pastor what must i believe in my heart i have to believe that jesus christ loved me enough to die for me and to carry all of my sins to the cross he became my propitiation he became he became my substitute there on the cross and god raised him up three days later and now he lives and he ever lives to pray for me you need to believe that in your heart with the heart man believes under righteousness but then here's something else with the mouth confession is made unto salvation which means you have to articulate something for whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved if you've never done that before but you believe in your heart that he loves me enough to die for me to take care of my sin problem and he rose again from the dead if you believe that all you have to do today is say lord save me heads are bound eyes are closed saints of god are praying for those of you that are watching us virtually god is not confined by space time or location so right there in the comfort of your home or wherever you may be if you will simply ask god to come into your life and be your savior he will if there is someone here in this building you've made that our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities and the chastisement of our peace was placed upon you i pray father god that this spoken word will become a reality in her life and that you would
