as good as maybe 98 percent but god is what is too good awesomely good beyond good praise god so god wants you to be encouraged encouraged and joyful so that in tough times the joy of the lord reminds will be a way out there will be solutions have either our stretching of god's hands the joy is to sustain you and make you know that you're only passing through when you read the book of hebrews when it speaks of the saints who went through things in hebrews 11 it will say that they were looking for a better place a heavenly home where god is the builder of it they just had this assurance okay you can do anything you want to do to us we have a better place glory to god glory to god glory to god glory to god so we see that the joy of the lord helps you and reminds you that you are only passing through whatever you are passing through the second blessing of the encouragement that comes from the joy of the lord is that the this uh this joy absolutely reassures you with a living hope firstly it helps you to know you're only passing through number two it reassures you with a living hope assures you with a living hope so if you have a living hope it means that there's still hope there's know one or two people whom sometimes when you remember then you will say ah i wish this person came alive again power christ is alive our hope is not in a dead god not in the word not in a person who promised that he is a savior and then he passes on our hope is built on nothing else than jesus blood and righteousness so we have a hope that is alive because the source is alive a living hope glory to god oh i pray that your uncle will hold we sing that song we your anchor hold in the storms of life so because you have a living hope you hold on and he never disappoints and he comes at the right time it comes at the right time he comes to prove himself he comes to deliver he's a living hope he's never too late we ought to encourage ourselves with this joy thirdly because we were redeemed for an incorruptible glory the passage we read this morning says to an inheritance which is incorruptible incorruptible we have been called to an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away first peter chapter one verse four so that is our assurance we have been redeemed not to corruption not to well we were not redeemed to break some mortars it's great if god blesses you with the house but your redemption is bigger than that we're redeemed to something massive something is great something more blessed a calabash the things that are bought with money all these computers the papers the books the tables even the clothes on your body they are corruptable that means they wear out they burn up they waste away they can be stolen they can be neglected they can be spoiled they can be stolen that's why we have banks we keep money we're doing credit card we're doing invisible money and even when you're doing visible money somebody's raising banks and even if they don't rate banks somebody's trying to steal it by hacking into the banking system and if they don't if they are not stolen they get out of fashion there are clothes you have you bring them out you say jeez man this does not fit nowadays you know when i was a teenager we were trousers that the the bottom of our trousers were wide and we used to call it uh james brown you know they are so out of
