prophesying scriptures that have to do with encouragement and this one i like to let you know that in the midst of pressure you can experience the hope of god in the midst of pressure you can experience the hope of god and therefore this we're gonna read first thessalonians chapter five i believe it's chapter five let me look at my scripture again first thessalonians chapter four first thessalonians chapter four and we're reading verses one to five first thessalonians chapter four the reading verses one to five it says father my brethren we beg and admonish you in virtue of our union with the lord jesus now you follow the instructions which you learn from us about how you ought to work so as to please and gratify god as indeed you are doing and that you do so even more and more abundantly attaining yet great perfection and living this life but you know what charges and precepts we give you on the authority and by the inspiration of the lord jesus but this is the will of god that you should be consecrated separated and set apart for pure and holy living that you shall abstain and shrink from all sexual vices that each one of you should know how to possess control manage his own body inconsecration purity separated from things profane and honor not to be used in the passion of lust like the heathen who are ignorant of the true god and have no knowledge of him this morning our scriptures is talking about and our the word we are sharing this morning is about you learning under pressure to keep your hope alive to keep hope alive while you are under pressure we live at a time and in our world where there are all kinds of challenges going on every corner of the earth is stretched europe we had floods upon floods africa there are battles kidnappings as we speak there are no less than five six seven battles going on in various pockets of africa uh the middle east you have the problem of kabul which in itself is like the epicenter of a oven of a modern earthquake which therefore means it has a cascading effect and a repair ripple effect on the whole region america you still have issues going back to the election and then corona virus by the midst of this all this morning i want you to know that god is good and his word is good and his word works his word works his word works mightily in the life of those who trust in him god cannot lie god is not a man that he shall lie not the son of man that he should repent or change his mind in the midst of the pressure you can be encouraged to know that god will work in your life god will stretch his hand in your life and he will prove himself mighty number one uh god will show his power in your life while you are under pressure and produce hope in your life produce hope in your life and produce hope in your life in other words god wants to show you hope god wants to show you power when things look like they are not going to walk you will experience the power of god the grace of god the power of god uh to deliver you to set you free to make you totally victorious the power of god to bring you into the fullness of your purpose the power of god to make you know that god has not and will never abandon you so power in the midst of the pressure you experience praise god power to bring you out of challenges in the mighty name of jesus so no matter what you see in our world today uh no matter what challenges you see in our world today the word of god stands forever that you will be delivered you will be set free and you will have testimony the second thing i'd like you to see from that passage is that not only is god's power shown under you under the pressure you find yourself the process of the pressure also brings you hope the things you go through bring hope to your life they bring hope to your life the things you go through bring hope to your life they make you see the hand of god at work and so may you be encouraged this morning may you be lifted this morning to know that god wouldn't bring you this far to leave you to abandon you let me read second uh god will never abandon you he will never leave you he will make a way for you he will give you testimonies beyond your imagination so the first one is that in the middle of the trouble you find power the second one is in the middle of the trouble you find process god is using the situation to process you to make you a better person to lift you up to make you a better person to lift you up to make you a better person to lift you up the third is that god is giving you peace in the middle of whatever is happening god is using the situation to give you peace that passes understanding praise god he will give and god has a way he will pay back trouble to those who trouble you that's the truth you give trouble to those who trouble you those who who who who put you on that unnecessary challenge he will give them trouble he will make them not they mess with his daughter and they mess with his son and he will walk on your behalf he will silence the voice of the enemy glory to god glory to god god will take on your battle he'll fight for you let me read first thessalonians chapter 4 verse 11 and 12 to make it your ambition and definitely and definitely endeavor to live quietly and peaceably to to mind your own affair and to walk with your hands as we charge you so that you may bear yourself becoming and be correct and honorable and command the respect of the outside world being dependent on nobody self-supporting and having need of nothing god will take on your fight you win the battle on your behalf you give you the peace that passes understanding people will watch you as god makes your life totally victorious in the name of jesus the fourth blessing when you go through this pressure that produces hope is that the promises of god will become manifest in your life every word god spoke every word god spoke will become your reality every word god gave will become your reality will become your testimony god will step in in other words the word of god will work mightily for you no matter what the circumstances that you feel or see the word of god will walk mightily mightily mightily mightily in your life you will have an uncommon unusual testimony in the name of jesus in the mighty name of jesus god's word will make way for you silence darkness silence the devil shut the mouth of liars for you so let me take you through one more time when you go through this pressure the pressure that produces hope according to the word of god this morning hope in the midst of the pressure of life uh when you go through all of it let me also read 2nd thessalonians chapter 1 2nd thessalonians chapter 1 i want you to add it to what we read this morning ii thessalonians chapter one let me read verse three and four we ought we ought and indeed are obligated as those in there to give thanks always to god for your bread and as he's switching because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you toward the others is increasing and abound and this is a cause of mention of about mentioning you with pride among the churches of god for your steadfastness your your your unflinching endurance and patience and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecution and crushing distress and afflictions under which you are holding up praise god so when the pressure comes when the challenge comes when the battle comes when what crumbles other people comes your way god is saying be encouraged many things will follow number one power will come out of it for you in jesus name two a process that makes you a better person will come out for you in jesus name three the peace of god that passes understanding will come out of it for you in the name of jesus for the promise that god have made god cannot lie god is not a man that he should repent not the son of man that he should change his word has he spoken will he not do it no good thing living god that in the midst of the pressure of this world you will find power in the midst of the pressure of this world you will find his purpose in the midst of the pressure of this world you will
