JULY GARDEN TOUR 2020 | HYDRANGEA TOUR

so hi friends or welcome back so it's time for the july garden tour but i decided to just focus only on hydrangea land well hydrangea lane formerly known as hydrangea land i just think that land is so big and lane is perfectly for the size back here because this space back here is not that big so let's get started in this area this is new all of these are my big leaf hydrangea i have i think one smooth hydrangea right here this is the smooth hydrangea this is the invincibelle we white beautiful this is the first time in my garden so far so good it's filled with blooms guys amazing and then if you move over i am so in love with this this was a birthday gift to myself my birthday was july 12th i celebrated by gifting myself two beautiful hydrangeas this is the nantucket blue hydrangea just look at that color amazing oh my gosh i mean they're loving their spot beautiful you come down this is a tough stuff something um you see when you have 60 plus hydration it's kind of hard to remember all their names i'm trying to find the card the tag yep tough stuff red hydrangea the bloom is like this and it just started to bloom so the brown leaves i left it in the sun for too long and that's the beautiful thing about putting hydrangeas in pots if you are on shore so this is the first time having um big leaf hydrangea like this in my garden so i put them in pots so i can rotate them move them around and see what works and what does not work and they are loving this spot so these two in the front are um oh my gosh something penny hydrangea uh let me see if i can find a tag these are mini penny hydrangeas by monrovia just came to me and they are a purplish blue ugh the spots on these hydrangeas don't worry about that um i got them like this because these are the clearance hydrangeas so all you have to do in spring when the leaves first emerge is to spray them with a copper fungicide as a preventative and throughout the season so these brown spots don't worry about that they are perfectly fine nothing is wrong with your hydrangea now this hydrangea is white wedding or it's about endless summer i divided it so this was one hydrangea and one hydrangea right here they were in a container together sorry for the background guys my neighbors are out and this is the only time i have to record this video before i have to run into my babies so we have white wedding if i'm wrong i'll correct myself on the screen so this is white wedding right here and right here as well these are clearance hydrangeas i divided them as you can see they have fresh new leaves emerging so don't worry or be stressed about these brown spots or burnt leaves on your hydrangeas if you bought them on clearance they're going to bounce back perfectly this right here this beautiful huge blooms this is a zinfandel hydrangea i always wanted a zinfandel hydrangea and i finally got one in my garden and she's loving this space right here she just has to get a little used to the morning sun and she'll be perfectly fine this hydrangea ah the tag that came with this said it was a fire light hydrangea however i haven't come across a phylite hydrangea that's a big leaf hydrangea so i think this was mislabeled right here we have a bobo hydrangea now this bubble hydrangea is a little bit stressed it was in it was getting too much water and it was in too much shade so it's bouncing back it's bouncing back but it's okay it's bouncing back that's why i'm their mama i know how to take care of them now before we go any further i just want to show you guys how amazing this hedge of limelights are doing they are doing amazing i planted all of this last the end of summer around i think the end of august and they are doing fine they are doing amazing just look at the size of these blooms right just gorgeous as we move on up you guys already saw this in my garden tour where i told you about these endless summer hydrangea this is endless summer original you can change the color from blue purple they are pink i have new buds forming on here amazing amazing amazing um i cut the spent blue off of this i think i might have gave it too much fertilizer you can see it's a lot of foliage a lot of leaves it's very pretty but there's no bloom so we have to wait on that same goes for this one and i have to cut the spent blooms off of this hydrangea but i mean uh if you don't have hydrangeas in your garden what are you doing what are you doing with yourself come on now all right still can't find any terracotta pods for these hydrangeas but that's okay that's okay they're still doing amazing they're putting on blooms they are loving this space oh my god my heart guys and of course the fire and ice are doing amazing they are loving this location everything is just amazing now this space get a little bit more shade than the rest of the garden so these limelights are very chartreuse while the other ones are cream and we move on up these are the grandfather of this hydrangea space they've been here for two years now or three i think this might be your third season if i'm not mistaken in my garden and my one dollar clearance petunias are doing fine i had to turn on the drip guys it's been so hot i mean mid 90s close to hundreds for the past two to three weeks it's just ridiculous i have to come out here early in the morning or late at night to get anything done in the garden so but yeah these limelights are doing amazing i and i don't do anything special i fertilize once in spring once in spring and i might give them a little something something mid-summer to give them a little extra boost but they are are on consistent water right here we have some quick fires um if i decide to keep this space like this next season i'm gonna move the quick fires and put more limelights i want this whole space to be cohesive this just looks like a sore thumb it just sticks out it just does not blend with the rest of this space with all these beautiful limelights oh my goodness um i have two containers here these containers are the what i have i have the heart to heart caladiums beautiful with a purple foam grass and these little um coral bells they need some extra fertilizer because they're not blooming the way i expected them to bloom and now look at this there are new leaves emerging and what happened was the cord the drip tube was kinked underneath the pot so there was no water getting to it and i just couldn't figure out what was the issue until it was too late but it's not dead i just need to come in and trim off all of this and the funny thing is this is how i found it at walmart for ten dollars last year guys ten dollars for last year and it's and it went back just like this but it's okay i can fix it and get it back to looking like this how beautiful is this oh amazing just amazing i can literally sit here all day and admire this space gorgeous i am so happy with how this space has turned out give you a little bit of mystery trying to figure out what's going on in the back look at all the white all the way down there and the funny thing is this area glows in the dark i love it i love the space this is the only space that's not stressing me out currently right now in my garden that's it guys there's nothing else to talk about in this area that's all the hydrangeas in this area so let me show you where the rest are so back here i have three summer suites hydrangeas they are doing great it's just that it's been so hot that i have to double down on my drip as you can see some sunburn and scorch on some of the blooms but they are doing fine other than that just beautiful amazing i am happy with how this space is coming along right here we have um what is this pinky winky hydrangeas i have two flank in the front of the new garden space beautiful i am loving it it's still a work in progress see my hose out i just got done watering the cut floor garden i need to put that back in place here is another pinky winky hydrangea they're not on drip so i have to water them every morning and every night and as you can see the burnt spots on these leaves this area get 10 hours of sun guys they are in full sun so i'm surprised they look this good to be honest they look amazing i would walk through the new flower area but i'm gonna wait to give you guys an update just on that area but i'm gonna hop in and show you the hydrangeas i do have in this area so right here i have two little limes they are doing great i mean there's nothing to say about them as you can see for yourself they are loving this area they are in full sun and they are they have consistent water now i am in zone i'm in zone seven six v seven a but winter been so mild i'm in zone seven four one seven and they are doing amazing excuse the mass this is my cherry tree this is my barbados cherry tree this brings back so much memories from my childhood in jamaica delicious it's delicious now this is my quick fire when i bought this quickfire it was so small so tiny for five dollars five dollars yes and now it's just getting huge it's just getting so big amazing i love this space all right this area is just like a holding area for some plants but i'm just focusing on my hydrangeas this is another summer sweet hydrangea it's it's doing okay struggling a little bit but it's okay okay these are some clearance hydrangeas guys these are clearance hydrangeas and i'm gonna do a video on how to divide your hydrangeas so that's why just sitting here waiting on their turn until i can get to them so these are the sandy summers hydrangea i have two of that and then i have the midnight salsa this is a midnight salsa hydrangea i almost forgot this one is the incredible blush incredible blush hydrangea it's struggling a little bit but as you can see there's new growth all over this hydrangea pushing out and so it's okay let me tell you this season been a very weird season and i cannot wait for it to be over i cannot wait right here is a pile of clearance plans now don't judge me now don't judge i just have not had the time to get to these but i try to keep them watered um this is a pinky winky hydrangea this is two summer sweets hydrangea right here so yeah that's it for my hydrangeas i think that's it and oh i have five more behind the greenhouse i have five more behind the greenhouse and i'm not going to go over there because over there needs some work but that's it in total i think i have like 64 hydrangeas in total i know yeah that is the tour of hydrangea lane and all the hydrangeas i have so far in my garden
