read them and then that way we can give you uh the proper credit for that amen so how many know that when we give to the lord it's a privilege amen it's a privilege how many are are thankful for what god has done in our lives how many know money cannot out by that because some of us shouldn't be here tonight but through his grace and his mercy amen we're here in our right mind amen some of us are still getting our mind right amen by the grace and the mercy of god but how many ever heard that phrase what goes around comes around and people often use that in a negative way but when we look at the word of god in the biblical language we also see it from a positive side and that's in second corinthians chapter 9 verse 10 it says now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness amen and that's basically saying the same thing but it's the word of god and in here we see three things amen when we look at it the scripture again the first thing it says is that he who supplies seed who's he the lord so that's saying that god is gonna bring seed our way for us to plant amen and so it's up to us when we receive that seed whether we plant it in the house of god or whether we go and we plant it at starbucks the burrito place that burger place amen but if we we are to be good stewards amen we're going to be able to plant it in the house of god now that word supplies where it says he supplies seed to the sower that word supply means to furnish or provide with what is lacking how we know that's good news for us that means when we're lacking god is going to provide seed for us but then there's keys to what we do with that seed and that leads us to the second thing it says we sow the seed that he provides amen so he gives us the seed but we got to sow it in the right place in order for him to multiply and that word so means to scatter amen over the ground for growing you're scattering seed amen some here in your tides and you're offering you're scattering seeds some other people they they sow seed after they pay the tides and offering to other places and that's fine amen you're sowing seed but it says he give us the seed for we can sow it so if he's giving us the seed to sow and we're using it the wrong way he's not going to be able to multiply it because we're not following amen the the plans that he set out for us to receive the seed and then it says once we sow it he multiplies that seed that was sown so that's saying tonight that if we want to receive a financial seed we have to plant financial seed all right only got like three commands amens amen how do we know that's true amen you got to plant financial seeds and that word multiply means to increase or cost to increase a number quantity or degree in other words god's given us a promise hey i'm giving you i'm providing for you what you need to sow and when you sow that mulch apply it that's like a win-win situation amen look at your neighbor tell them that's a no-brainer see somebody's getting mad now huh you see and then once he multiplies that seed then we sow once again the seed that was multiplied and the process continues amen and so that's how god is able to provide for us more abundantly amen because once we sow that seed then remember seed time and harvest once you plant that seed you have to allow the seed to fertilize and grow roots and so that's being faithful in the little know when you sow your seed say okay god i'm trusting you and when we trust god we're planting it into the house of god now what is the house of god this is the house of god where you found your purpose where you found your vision where god's restored things in our lives and our minds and our families this is the house of god this is where you sow your seed amen but see when i read stuff like this it gets me excited that when we sow seed into god's kingdom he blesses us with the harvest how many are ready for a harvest here tonight amen then you have to sow the right seed those watching in our livestream we encourage you amen sow the right seed and see how god is faithful amen and it says once he multiplies it then we have more seed to sow back into the house of god again amen and when we do that this is god's plan for blessing us and then it's all over the bible but then if we read verses 11 through 13 real quick it says you will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion it says and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to god but verse 12 says this service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the lord's people but it is also overflowing and many expressions of thanks to god look at verse 13 it says because of the service by which you have proved yourself see he's going and says when you learn to sow seed you're proving yourself he says others will praise god but then it says for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of christ and for your generosity and sharing with them and everyone else see he goes on and says this is part of the obedience if you say you're a believer then you're going to when you give he says the service you have and it says you have proved yourself others will praise god for the obedience that accompanies your confession so it says if you're a believer you can't help but want to give back to the lord so we're going to pray tonight i want to encourage you amen those that have been faithful we thank you for your faithfulness those that are starting off we thank you we pray that god will continue amen to provide the seed for you that way you can sow it in the right place amen let's pray father we thank you lord for everything you're doing god i pray tonight god that you would bless the giver you provide god for those my god that may be struggling right now god that you would bring the seed god that they console god and we can see you multiply god that we can continue to trust in you lord god we're careful to give you all the glory the honor and the praise and everyone said amen and amen god bless you as you word la mirada amen amen so look into that it's it's it's going to be it's going to benefit you tonight i want to pastor uh started off the series actually pastor danny did last thursday pastor sunday uh on uh brought it up but the series that we're covering uh this month is gonna be on fight amen and i don't know if if like myself amen i love a good fight i i love to see a good fight amen and every so often you see one on the streets amen you gotta stop you just gotta you know we're nosy like that amen but but something about fighting something about fighting and you know here uh i titled this message stay in the fight stay in the fight if you have your bibles on the book of psalms 144 starting with verse 1 it reads this it says blessed be the lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight my good my goodness and my fortress my high tower and the deliverer my shield and in whom i trust who subdueth my people under me let's pray father we thank you lord for tonight thanking you for this opportunity lord god to minister your word lord father i'm praying lord god that hearts are receptive that your word fall on good ground lord father god that this series lord god would stir up our inner man lord god father god that it would stir us up to the point where we become vigilant lord god in what you are doing in these end times father lord we're mindful of your presence i give you honor glory as i step aside lord ask that you take full control lord in jesus name amen amen see every christian who follows jesus everyone here who calls themselves a christian whether you want to believe it or not you've been called into a battle you've been called into a battle amen we we came to to a place where we said you know what lord i i surrender i give you my heart god do something glorious in my life in my marriage and we didn't know all that it entailed we didn't we don't understand fully but as we begin to allow god to do the work in our life allow god to minister unto us as we as we plant ourselves in a church and we start to learn and grow it becomes apparent to us what god is trying to do in our life and if you look through the scriptures where we're in the old testament the armies of god man they they took heads they took they did a lot of damage in the name of god whereas you see the new testament where god comes and he comes and he comes with grace and he tells you to love your enemies you know how many how many know that's that's that's probably one of the scriptures that you don't have highlighted in your bible right because it's hard when god tells you to love your enemies you're like oh man that's how you know you gotta you know man help me lord help me lord but see you and i have an enemy on a daily basis who is sizing you up you know some of you know what the phrase sizing up is you know we could some of us come some i mean some of you goodie goodies hey man you had somebody fight for you we got it but there are some of you who you did your own you always knew who was ready for battle you know you when you saw them girls taking off them earrings when you saw that guy pulling off his belt and wrapping his hand with a hanker when you saw you knew that that was an individual that was ready to step in everyone had that one friend who always started the fight but wasn't there to finish it they always started that they had the mouth they had er you know and they knew that whatever they did that they knew that you were gonna back them up they knew you were ready for battle oftentimes what happens is that when we come into christianity we don't take things as serious we don't see the enemy before us so if we can't see him we don't understand what is fully involved until we start to get grounded in god see a fighter may have skills a good chin a good punch but if he lacks or she lacks the discipline they won't go very far i've i've met a lot of a lot of guys man you know they they're they were good street fighters but when they would come into a gym setting where you were placed before a disciplined person who who trained they didn't you know they would take a couple punches but they would lose their win and you know they would tap out but see one of the things that we look for that in an individual is that when they have the heart and the will to fight they come into god and when we come into the things of god we're prospects when they go right into the gym for the first time you know what the the very first thing that that coach is going to do is they're going to see what do you got show me how you stand i was sharing this with uh with uh my family member they were martial artists and i said when you first went into the gym when you first went into that dojo when you first went in what was the first thing they did they had you stand they wanted to see what kind of stand you had so today i want to bring out a few areas and i'm hoping that i you know we could i could carry this on to the next well the first one is i want to bring out is the prospect the second one that i'm going to go into is a contender and in every gym and in every church you have pretenders pretenders the first point i want to bring out is the prospect the definition of a prospect is a person regarded as likely to succeed that that's an individual that has hope when you and i came into the things of god we like i said we were novice we didn't have a full understanding of what took place we just knew that we needed jesus we knew that we were tired we knew that you know when we were tired of just running how many were runnings running around how many were just trying didn't want to face reality you didn't want to do it and we knew how to get away from that you knew how to numb yourself you knew how to do all the things you felt you needed to do to feel that comfort but that was always bottomless that once you bottom out you were facing the same problem you were still dealing with the same depression and the anxiety and the worry but when jesus came into your life he gave you that hope he gave you that peace the bible says that surpasses all understanding but when he called you into the things of god when he took you out of the pit of hell when he brought you out of darkness into his marvelous light what he did is he placed you into a ring he placed you into the ring of fire and there where he says is i am going to train your hands for battle i am going to train your fingers for where i am going to do a work in you and you are going to be an effective person in the things of god you are going to fight the enemy see oftentimes we don't see the enemy until he's right there in our face when he's right there mike tyson said this he says everybody has a plan until they get punched i'm gonna do this i'm gonna dance around him 10 rounds i'm gonna do this jab jab jab up until you get punched the plan goes out the window everything that you thought was going to be did it i mean it's beautiful when you come to the things of god when you're new in the things of god and god starts the man you you come to church and you love this song this is your song and and you and you're you're getting into your word and you're and you're just highlighting everything and you're so excited until the first trial when that first trial hits man you want to bounce see there there's a syndrome they call it the fight or flight syndrome the fight or flight when you face a situation you're either going to do two things you're either going to stand and fight or you're going to run how many ever been there now where you know what i remember when i was about 16 years old i came home and i seen my sister's car had a flat and she was at work i said man you know i want to i want to help her out man so you remember the old jacks that you would put on the bumper well i put it on her car and i unloosened the boats and moved the tire around and right when i moved that tire the jack popped and the car fell right on my hands and i was there for like 10 minutes this little guy comes over and he just picks up the whole car he had enough adrenaline in him to do see and and that's what happens is that you get so pumped up that man you're gonna do things that you cannot imagine that you could do but see when we come into christianity they're gonna be situations where you are literally gonna have to make a stand that you're gonna say you know what i'm tired of the devil coming into my house and and trying to cause havoc causing chaos and just bringing the division i'm tired of that great able to lift each other up and pray for each other i know when that door is posed i don't want to go behind there i want i i my wife needs to do what she needs to do she needs to battle in prayer and i know that and i'll take my position in another part of the house but as a team what we're saying is you know what lord we're coming in agreement we have a fight before us and we're going to make that step to do everything but pray right because in the world you were able to handle things in the world you knew what to do in the world you knew that the outcome what it would be but how many here have ever come to that point where you want to do things on your own and god says no i want you to go in the room and lock yourself up and pray i want you to get in the room and get a hold of me bring your cares to me bring everything that is on your mind on your heart bring it to me come into a place where you say you know what god only you can handle this matter see when we come to that point that is when god is starting to do that work in your life so when david says look he trained my hands for battle he knew that when god took him as a young shepherd and he took him and he put him in a position to take out the bearer to take out the lion he was preparing him see every battle that you are going through tonight or are in the future you will have future battles and everything that you're going through is to take you to another season see david didn't know before david b slayed goliath before david was a mighty general in the armies of god he was in the field i think that so never despise the things that you that god has you doing right now you say like what's the point what is the point of me having to do this it's mundane i'm doing it over and over god is shaping you god is forming you so you're a prospect and once you become a prospect god places you in the ring of fire he says okay okay mikey let me see how you stand let me see put your hands up let me see what those you know we we always you know and some of you you know if they were to ask you man you had that one crazy stance like this with your pinkies out like you know you know some of you old-timers but see when one of the most important parts of training is to get your stance your balance your hands worthy position are they are they protecting your face are they protecting your ribs and that's where you start that's the prospect stage and that's where god brings us to that point in first corinthians chapter 16 verse 13 it says be watchful stand firm in the faith and get this act like men be strong now don't get offended that meaning act like men is just saying act mature act like you know hard stand firm in your faith and act mature and be courageous worse your prospect ephesians chapter 6 verse 11 says this it says put on the full armor of god so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil see that is it that is the key the armor of god we can't fight the enemy on our own we don't know what way he's going to come at you so when we approach the things we our battle is a spiritual battle we fight an unseen foe an enemy who is out to seek you and to destroy you but i love the second part of that where jesus says i come to bring you peace bless you so we put on the full armor of god we put on the helmet of salvation we have our sword we're ready we're ready when jesus faced the enemy and the enemy tried to tempt him he always fought him back with the word the word of god is irrefutable there is no fight against the truth the enemy will come in and try to twist it and try to try to get you to compromise it and try to water it down and try to do all these things but this word of god has has survived centuries after centuries after centuries people have tried people have died for this word people have have gone through great lengths to get this word in people's hand i've seen a video of of a of a church in in china and they brought them cases of bibles and they were handing the bibles out to these young people and they were crying weeping kissing their bible and some of us has four or five bibles heard reports that that the taliban were looking for phones and if there was a bible app on the phone that they were going to torture this individual people are putting their lives down for the word of god they're fighting what is our greatest weapon our greatest weapon is prayer listen when you start the day off you're ready to fight when you start your day off with prayer man i'm not talking about getting up at you god bless you but some of you man you got a life you got kids you got a job you got things to do but it's important that you make god part of that day it's important that you say you know what lord i'm going to start this day off i'm going to pray on my way to work amen do your eyelashes with one hand drive with the do what you got to do but what you're saying is lord i'm making you part of my life you laugh because that's you not you mondo you always tell when a prospect is going from a prospect to a contender because they start walking in faith they start stepping up you know when you first get saved and they say come on let's lift up our hands and praise god and you're like you know and then they start to go up a little and you're looking to see who's looking and then there's a point when parents we look at that and we just say you know what i i you know that's good for you but christians need to make a stand christians need to stand up and say you know what my bible says this and i'm not talking about going and starting fights and all that that's not a good representation of the gospel but what i'm saying is that you win them over with love and you win them over with love because these people are hurting and there's going to come a time where they're going to look for an individual they're going to look for a reference and they say you know what i'm going to call up mondo i want to see if he's still i'm going to call up my uncle and see if he's still going to that church i'm going to call up my aunt to see if she could pray for me see we live in a society where you know where christians need to make a stand christians need to stand up and state what they believe not not this coexist remembers that you know what i've talked to them and they won't one ear out the other and then they'll run into somebody and they'll minister to them boom and they got saved and i think god i said man god thank you you are faithful i believe that you know when i pray for someone that you know what whoever i might i might plant the seed someone's gonna water someone's gonna harvest it we never know what position we're in there are several forms of standing the first one is standing in the gap standing in the gap is a form of intercessory prayer where our prayers bridge the gap between god and the people who are cut off from god's presence that's where you say you know what i'm going to take it upon myself that you know what lord today in this hour of prayer i'm going to pray for my aunts i'm going to pray for my uncle people my neighbors my my relatives my loved ones people my co-workers god i am going to stand in the gap for these people they are hurting and they are they are not in your presence that is standing in the gap and the second form of standing is praying for those in a crisis situation who don't know god and or may not know how to pray or who don't believe in prayer how many have ever had an opportunity to witness to somebody and they really they didn't grow up in any type of religion or anything i had a friend of mine his mother was diagnosed with cancer she had cancer spread throughout her lungs she wasn't a smoker and he says my mom wants to speak to you she wants to know about jesus so i said okay yeah she was already placed on hospice and so i sat down there and talked with her me and my wife we talked with her and she questions and at the end of it we answered all her questions she asked us if we could pray for her my wife says would you like to ask the lord jesus into your heart she did she was so happy so happy her son told me he said you know my mom has never been so happy he goes she's already accepted the fact she's going she didn't ask for a healing a miracle nothing she goes i know i'm going i'm no but now i know i'm ready to go what i want you to do sit down pastor get a pen and paper and this is what you're going to do when i die you're going to speak to my family and you're going to tell them if they want to see me again they got to give their life to jesus so i'm just writing this down and she says and i want to tell you tell them this and tell them that and all these things and i said are you sure that's kind of you know she says no my family knows me i'm a tough woman they know me and they know that's how i talk a couple months later i got a call at 9 00 a.m in the morning they said she passed and i said okay i went over there prayed with the family and nine pm that same day her one-year-old great-granddaughter passed away on the same day and you know what the family was devastated but my my friend came up to me he says you know what this is the happiest last few months of my mother's life he says i want to thank you for being there for her and whatnot that message of her sharing with her her her children has stuck with him they've yet come to yet to come to christ but they know the seed has been planted god is faithful so shall your household be saved these are things that you need to speak over your family your children maybe they're going in the wrong direction but it takes a parent it takes an individual to stand and fight see it's not the minister it's not the youth leaders it's not their duty if god has placed that burden on your heart yeah it's good to come into agreement but you need to make that individual effort and the sacrifice and say i'm going to commit myself to this i'm going to pray and i'm going to believe god i'm going to believe god so praying for those praying okay the second the third one is is praying for the weak the ill the downtrodden the oppressed who cannot pray for themselves these are people this is this is standing people this is standing in prayer standing in the gap for people praying this now get this praying for our pastor and our leaders praying for our pastors and our leaders you know oftentimes we could think man their soul their prayer life is so man up there that my prayers what are they gonna do you know they they they got a direct dial to god what am i going to do i got to go through all these channels no i mean i i believe it's important for the people of god to pray for your pastor pray for your lead and they need this and i found this scripture turn with me to the book of exodus chapter 17. this is speaking of upholding your your leaders and those who who are ministering into your life exodus chapter 17. verse 10 it says so joshua fought the amalekites his moses had ordered and her went to the top of the hill as long as moses held up his hands the israelites were winning but whenever he lowered his hands the amalekites were winning when moses hands grew tired they took a stone and they put it under him and he sat on it aaron and her held his hands up one on one side and one on the other so that his hands remained steady till sunset see here we have the picture of the amalekites in them in battle with the with israelites joshua battling the amalekites in the in the in the the word goes on to say that is when moses would hold up his hand that there was victory that was coming to the people of god but how many know that sometimes our pastor can become weary sometimes at the hands of ministry can become so burdensome on them that sometimes they need that extra lift they need that encouragement that's where it's important where we stand together and say you know what make it a part of our day say lord we're gonna pray for our pastor we're gonna pray for our leaders our home directors we're gonna pray for those people who are in a position to minister onto people see it's very important see i mean sometimes we look at it and we think that man you know what i don't want to be a bother i don't want to be i don't want to you know speak out of turn i don't want to do any of these things that would would be ineffective but let me tell you this that is a lie that is a lie the devil doesn't want you to pray for your leaders the devil doesn't want you to be a part of what god is doing here so he says you know what this isn't for you man you need to go find yourself another church that's not so radical that's not so crazy and not so fixed on reaching the loss you know you need comfort you need all these things what the church needs today is to wake up what the church needs today is to stand and fight what the church needs today we always speak about revival revival is a transformation i'm gonna do a new work inside of you and i'm gonna use you to reach the nations how powerful it is man you look around you look everywhere throughout this church there are preachers here there are teachers here one of the things that we are taught as disciples is to be ready how many of you here feel that you have the call of god to do the work of god come on come on be ready be ready always have a message inside of your bible always be ready to give a word you never know you're gonna come to church one day on a thursday and is pastor's to say you're up tonight it's true you've seen me i preached in scrubs drive in the parking lot danny says you're up are you ready be being part before before you get to that point you're in that prospect state next time i get a minister on this i'm going to speak about the contender what's involved with the contender see one of the things that i want to say is that for you here it is max lucaro it says our prayers may be awkward our attempts may be feeble but since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it our prayers do make a difference you know sometimes we feel like i don't have all the right words sometimes i feel like god my prayers don't go beyond this ceiling sometimes that little voice tells you you know what god you've been telling asking god for that for some time now and if it hasn't happened now i think it's best you move on see god wants you to be persistent god wants you to be steadfast god wants you to stand firm god wants you to stand and believe in faith god's telling you look your hands they're a weapon i've trained you for battle i'm preparing you for war are you going to fight are you going to flight we look at the five-fold ministry the hand we see the apostle the prophet the teacher the pastor and the evangelist they make up the the fivefold ministry see i was looking over it's called victor max it's a christian based website and this is what they said it says pray for your pastor ninety percent of pastors have been betrayed falsely accused or hurt by their trusted friends seventy percent of pastors battle depression seven thousand churches close each year fifteen hundred pastors quit each month 10 percent will retire a pastor 80 percent of pastors feel discouraged 94 of pastors families feel the pressure of ministry 78 of pastors have no close friends 90 percent of pastors report working 55 to 75 hours a week and then it ends it with please pray for your pastor i believe that we are in the end times for some of you you don't want to hear that because you ain't right yet god is telling you to get right god is telling you to stand god is telling you step into the ring let me train you stop faking it stop stop making excuses the devil will give you 101 excuses on why you don't why you don't make it why you this why that why that god says stand act like men be mature i want everyone to stand this evening first for most anyone who's watching anyone here you don't know the lord you haven't accepted them into your heart you haven't asked for forgiveness you you've yet to make that commitment i want to pray with you i'm not going to ask you to raise your hand i'ma just ask you no you know who you are you know where you're at with god no one's here to judge you man we love you we want to see you make it we want to see you succeed we want all the things that god wants for you if that's you here just come out and just come up to the altar and just you know ask god for forgiveness backslider running that's you amen stand maybe tonight maybe your walk is a little wobbly you've been in the gym a few times and you leave and you come back and you leave and you just say you know what anthony you know there's some things that you touched on tonight maybe there's some things that you know what i didn't touch on but god is still dealing with you on you need to come clean without maybe you say you know what i think i want to stand in the gap for someone i want to stand in the gap for my children i want to stand in the gap for somebody who's battling an illness right now i want to stand for that person make your way up to the altar anthony i want to stand for my leaders i understand from my pastor i want to stand for my director i want to stand for that
