[Music] hi everybody this is pierogi with scammer payback so i have some really bad news to tell everybody i just wanted to say that i've got one of these dang pop-ups on my screen all this blue background and official white font scrolling down saying windows malware detected in a critical virus alert i don't know what to do the only thing i could do is call up somebody smart no not a scammer i needed to call jim browning that's who i needed to call in this call we're going to give you the point of view of the scammer and of the victim shout out to mr browning on this one jim browning scam baiting legend hero of many people including myself we're going to take you on a journey here today and literally i'm about to call this guy the scammer up and we'll be watching him every step he takes every move he makes every single day every time he prays is that the words we'll be watching him so let's go and call this scammer up and see how this thing goes let's check it out thank you for calling computer technical support please hold the line while we are transferring to the technician hi mom this is eddie how are you doing oh hi eddie how are you [Music] i'm doing good how are you mom um i could be better my computer it's saying windows malware detected hard drive problem contact window support hard drive safety delete starting in five minutes uh your data's at a high risk um i don't know what the heck is going on since how long you are getting this issue um it's been i mean it's just been sitting on my screen for about 30 minutes okay no issue i will be helping you okay okay look on your keyboard in the extreme left bottom corner okay do you see a control key yes next to the control key which key do you see um let's see here shift and next to the shift uh it says caps uh you need to look ma'am at the very bottom left corner okay yes it's ctrl next to the ctrl which key do you see to the right of it um it's like the boxes the squares or whatever okay do one thing need to what you need to do press and hold the four flag key okay and while while holding it press r hold on let me try i don't know if i can stretch my hands that far hold on um okay i got it it says run yeah something is written in the run box or it's blank um some kind of i don't i don't know it looks like it's blank next to open do you see ma'am the cursor is blinking there uh yes it says type the name of a program folder document or internet resource and windows will open it for you okay just next to open make sure the box is blank okay okay and then top there letter h h like hotel or harry two times okay h you drinking h sorry are you drinking something oh is that just a you're just swallowing no oh okay h and then what then give a space okay give a space and then type another each okay what in the world does that do don't hit okay oh whoops accidentally hit browse um hold on one second okay i hit okay no what do you see um let's see here hold on one more one okay it says html help is that right yes yeah just make that window big make it big size um let's see here just drag it yes okay i did that now look at the very top left corner do you see a yellow question mark um yes i i feel like that's over my head you know like i don't even know what's going on i've got a big question mark over here but yes i see that do i need to click on it yes click on it once you click on it i need to do a left click or right click left okay when you click on the yellow question mark what do you see yeah it says restore move size minimize maximize close alt f4 click on jump to url right click or left click left okay single or double just a single click single mom yes okay jump to url current url um and then it says jump to this url you need to type in the second box that says jump to this url okay jump through okay top it there in the second box that is blank top there www three times www then put a dot or a period okay and then type fast fastfest and then type support s u p p r t support okay and then dot what calm see you in okay and then do i hit okay yes hit okay all right the whole thing you go there it is www.fastsupport.com right yes yes um it says be cautious if you receive unsolicited requests to access your computer yeah this is a notification map that is put by company just put your first name in the name box okay um well i've got all right vivian helen veronica rogers only the first name will be enough okay support key um do i create my own because i could use my social as a support key if it makes it easier no i will give you the support key oh this is a microsoft support key okay oh this is microsoft i'm sorry yeah the support key is 706. okay 706. 183.183.040.040 and then from there uh do i just click on continue okay continue i'm kind of nervous about whatever this thing is and this is a virus yes ma'am i will check it out okay okay it says download it should begin in a few seconds it says not responding okay there we go says click start go to assist to click on run and your session should stop shortly start go to assist if go to assist does not launch please download and go run to assist questions contact global support which that's you guys or tweet us at rescue us do you see our option it says run click on run um it doesn't have that oh it says launching application verifying application it says i did i don't i don't want you to work i don't want sharon to to work on my computer though no no mom i will be the one who will be working okay now do one thing drop your finger from the mouse and keyboard okay do you see i'm uh i'm the one who is like uh yeah who's moving my mouse i'm the one mom i'm using it okay okay so this is a window that you was getting right there is contact window support uh you have to give me a very short moment mom let me have a glass of water i'm feeling trusty oh you're thirsty yes okay i'm sorry just give me just give me a really short moment okay okay understand what's going on okay okay so you are the only person who use the computer or somebody also use it besides you well my worthless husband uses it sometimes why you're calling your word he's an idiot you know to be honest he's just an idiot so he's he's worthless i'm you know i'm i'm i'm better at the computer than he is but he's just an idiot sometimes you know but if you won i was also looking up can i show you something from my cookbook um i was working on the beginning of a cookbook um see i've got some of my recipe ideas hash brown casserole bobby flay payback ribs chicken alfredo so i'm actually going to be working on a cookbook the best burger you've eaten ever thanksgiving dinner eight layer dip strawberry ice cream so i was also trying to look up some things on that but the the biggest issue was when i was on my bank i don't know if i can recreate it or not should i try to recreate the issue which one um the issue with when i went onto my bank no you don't have to recreate the issue ma'am okay okay uh well go ahead with whatever you're doing honey i'm sorry okay so these are the bugs ma'am that has scored into your computer do you see here [Music] um yeah is this these are all malware or you can say spyware that got into your computer and due to which your computer's security got compromised wait are you kidding me you can see it mom on the computer this mini this much spyware yes okay wow can you tell me what kind of spyware is it um could it be you know the russians could it be the chinese the indians who who's doing this um it might be a possibility like uh it is very hard to identify like who is doing this but like these are all the bloggers files you can see oh my god that's honestly that's unbelievable i i i've never seen so many pieces of malware is that why my computer's running slow yes yes it might be a possibility mom good lord honey since how long you have this computer um many years why no i'm just asking i mean i i don't know i'm i don't know the days honey okay let me check your ip address ma'am give me a moment okay do you want to make the following program changes to this computer yeah i'm doing it i'm doing many people are connected with the ip address okay okay now do you see here it says active opens it says tcp stats for ipv what is what is tcp stand for transmission control protocol okay and what is ipv4 i thought that they were at ipv6 now yes they have ip v6 now but still like the your computer is old you're using seven so it's working on ipv4 okay well how do i upgrade the ipv6 is that a package i will let you know mom okay do you see here it says current connections and under the current connection it says 11 okay do you see here 11 means there are total number of unauthorized people who are connected with your computer and with your wi-fi are you kidding me 11. yes ma'am that's why it says current connections i didn't even do anything all i do is online banking and then i sometimes i buy recipes off the internet how did this happen i understand mom might be like when he was doing any banking might be some unauthorized people was trying to get my information oh my gosh now let me check one thing here let me check the last thing here i'm checking the microsoft security drivers okay there are some microsoft security drivers is provided to you miss okay but over a period of time did you ever renewed the warranty of this computer oh no honey i've i've never had to really do that before let me check the okay drivers man because if the warranty not like extended or it's not renewed then the free security drivers that is provided to you by microsoft they stop working and when they stop working they do not protect your computer against hacker attack or viruses okay okay now you can see here these are all the drivers right you can see some of them are running i will scroll down the window more and now you can see all of them are stopped oh my lord what is this computer browser and then there's this one fragment and it's the fragmenter this do you defragment remains mom like it on a periodic basis it defragments your hard disk means it increases the speed space of your computer but right now it is a stop okay why is could you tell me what a certificate propagation is it provides certificate to your uh websites like which one is safe or not okay well that's unbelievable this is crazy all these stopped devices yes you can see all these are stopped from top to the bottom okay so how do we fix this roof how do we fix all this ma'am what i can do i can assign a technician there will be the two technicians who will be working on the problem one will be the ip technician and one will be the microsoft technician or are you not are you not the senior no like i'm the senior okay okay there will be but with me there will be a ip technician will be working mom i know but i'd rather just you fix it since you know you sound handsome and you know i'd like to work with you [Music] yes mess it will be done but like as you have the problem in the iep so there will be a can i show you what the issue let me see if i can recreate this i was going on starting the work ma'am with me there will be iep technician will be working firstly they will gonna clean your computer and they will gonna clean your ip address and then you will be getting a advanced security program in your computer that will be protecting you in future from all kind of threats okay live microsoft support.com okay it says premiere support if you are a current microsoft premiere online yes you just sign in using the same credentials microsoft account and add the access id um honey i don't have an xbox or the onenote or any of that i i just have a window no no no i just got a windows desktop uh this is the only computer that you have at your location or do you have what is this language what is this faceless iraq what is that oh that isn't a russian man oh that's oh you guys deal with the russians yes oh lord okay oh you guys in pensacola i'm in sarasota by the way okay so like uh the technician will be doing the work and i will gonna recommend you a security system so that your computer will be protected in future from all kind of threats okay these are all the plans miss the first one is a one year in the one year you will be getting a total cleanup of this computer using advanced microsoft tools and then the technician will be doing the ip masking and then you will be getting iep security protection by the way i just want to say this is extremely professional the website and everything love it love all the fonts and everything um it says total cleanup of computer using advanced microsoft cleanup tools okay total cleanup of ip address what is ip masking [Music] ip masking is a process in which like all the unauthorized people who are connected they will be disconnected okay so what is the masking though because is it gonna like protect or something the ip yeah first like first they will be doing the cleanup and then they will gonna mask your ip address so that in future if somebody got your ip address they will not be able to make a connection again how do they know that i have any intellectual property like i don't even and how do they know the address of my house you know intellectual property ma'am they will be picking up the ip address from the computer your ip address is located in your machine in your computer okay okay so it's it's inside of the it's like the brain of the computer yes okay um uncompromising there's that dang ip address again okay i need to learn what this ip address is a uncompromising ip address by an ip certified specialist what in the world does that even mean uncompromising means the same thing i need to know what all these bullet points are and then you will be getting a security system that will gonna protect your computer in future from all kind of threats okay and if you'll be doing any shopping and banking it will be also safe okay hold on honey ip you never even told me what this certified specialist is i'm certified specialist means the person who is uh have a study fair like certification and fixing the iep issues okay so he has a certification in fixing ip issues and he's uncompromising yes okay and then ip security for one pc well that's a load of crap we've got like six desktops does it matter if they're plugged in or not okay because i would like to bump that up to like six desktops because that's what we've got at the house um and then it says develop and supported by microsoft and cisco what is cisco cisco is a company networking company so does that have anything here yeah they will be working on your ip and fixing the problem for you okay and then you will be getting uh anti-hacking security software so that your computer will be protected from hackers in the future oh my gosh okay so you can tell me oh boy i don't know what to do um what's what's the number one plan i should do honey because i who even knows how long i'm gonna be here i don't know how many times i'll be waking up in the morning okay like uh you have a cell phone also right um i do have a cell phone that's that's the number i'm calling from how did you know i had a cell phone are you can you see me no i'm just asking okay you can't see me or anything okay because i have one of those nest cameras and it's pointing right at me right now so i didn't know if that was that was you looking at me no no no no no no no no no no if i could i'd be watching people you know like watching see what else they're doing you know it's kind of cool you know just to be kind of spying on them you know okay miss what i will recommend you i will recommend you for two year one like in two year one your cell phone your router and your computer okay all of them will be taken care and you will be having the security system for the next two years like for the next two years you do not need any protection or any security okay all right i will assign a technician they will start the work like what will be what's happening yes what's her name one will be you believe that he said i miss your face love arjun unbelievable yeah he was a he was a handsome gentleman uh very smart and uh we had a good connection but you know honestly it didn't work out long term but he was a handsome devil good old login i miss you honey he always kept saying i was mispronouncing his name too it might have been the whiskey talking good old oxen or i'll joon i think and stop scamming no it says scan mem right what kind of scam is this it just can scan right that's what i'm saying what kind of scam is this it's uh this is an ad removal scam yeah it's scanning your whole computer okay so it's scamming for what for uh for all the malware problems okay okay now miss uh we try to process your payment from your card right there it's back again it's back again look yeah it will be resolved okay do not worry about this okay okay what i'm saying we try to process your payment but the payment didn't go through it it has been declined it got declined why yes okay you want me maybe i can give you the gift cards on the back then then the numbers of the gift card no we i told you miss we do not take gift cards why not that's the new that's like the new age the new wave people are doing that's called cryptocurrency honey no we do not do it ma'am like that's why that's people you know people get those numbers on the back they're encrypted it's cryptocurrency it's very high it's like 5d security it's it's extremely powerful stuff but we do not take it ma'am uh can you tell me like uh can you call your can i call what who's on my computer who's clicking on my email yeah i was the one who opened it mom okay like uh you need to get a hold of your bank okay or you can try another card let's see here let me see if i can uh get a hold of my bank will you talk to them on my behalf will you talk to them on my behalf why you need to talk to them well because you can explain what's going on better no you need to talk to them it's not my work it's not your work okay how's the scam running on the bottom it's just scanning your computer mom okay do you have any other card um possibly okay just give me a moment let me go fumble around do you guys do refunds too do you guys do refunds because um i've got a gentleman his name is raj patel from microsoft and i didn't know if he worked on your team but he's been calling me i'm supposed to talk with him at shop five and he's supposed to give me a refund no that's a bogus thing what do you mean it's a bogus thing no one will be going here giving the refunds it's a bogus thing okay yeah i've been hearing about that the bogus the refund people and the social security people yes [Music] i also heard there's a text here let me know please so what we need to do so that there's a really weird tech support one as well i heard where like it has things pop up on your screen and you call them and there wasn't even an issue so what do you want me to do mama i want you to tell me the truth the truth of what's going on here that's what i explained you mom in the last 30 minutes but you know that you know that there was no issue you know this website's crap you know what i mean okay you know okay thank you you know this scam is crap why did you leave this session huh you have anything to say for yourself you have anything to say you got nothing to say i know you're still there okay okay arjun you hear me i know you're still listening just hang up and stop doing what you're doing hang up hang up scammer well that was something else and uh that kind of gives you all a bit of an idea around how these tech support scams work again the pop-up on the screen they connect they remote in and big shout out to the hero the legend mr jim browning for watching the other side of the scam and giving everybody an idea of what goes on on that side um so we went through the whole thing we went to a payment portal as you saw you know just checked to make sure there were enough you know digits and they went and took that information probably tried to you know run the card obviously it didn't work really great work there's a bunch more background information on these scammers that i'm sure jim will be exposing but uh really excited uh to do this and hopefully we'll have some more of these we'll give you guys a back stage view of these scammers and what they're doing as they're talking to
