yeah that's right we saved the daylight what can I say we just uh just a normal Sunday for uh Spencer Craig and I you're welcome oh cuz that cuz it was yesterday or do you not you all did have to lose an hour of sleep but it was for a good cause it was for look now there's more Sun out I know Emma's going to be happy because Emma's the only person I think Emma and Mia are the only people who enjoy the sunlight I like the sun I'm starting to enjoy it again I like to feel warm I liked when I was a kid and then when I became a teenager I became a vampire and then now that my kid likes to touch grass now I'm like I'm I'm I'm out I'm out there I just get sunburnt too easily so it's a it's a problem skill issue yeah get get get heat rash real bad outside for too long one of the very few things that Craig and I have in common is we we turn Brown in the sun yeah I doo mhm I apparently so does Mia for some reason yeah yeah Mia very much though yeah it's a mad tan MH that's nice uh there was somebody I saw on Tik Tok who was talking about uh the studies of daylight savings time and how it um is terrible for Everybody's Health because losing that hour of sleep uh apparently the hospital sees like 25% more increase in in in people coming in and there's more car accidents and things like that and there's a decrease when the hour goes back and everybody gets an hour of sleep um and the top comment on Tik Tok was bro I just sleep an extra hour I was like there that's it that's that's what I also do I know I was worried about it because of the baby and then she just slept yeah we all slept it was great I just woke up like it's 11:30 it would normally be 10:30 yeah we can adjust and we did and it's fine now I'm only a little bit tired today yeah um but then she hasn't napped so yeah it's whatever uh it'll get sorted eventually yeah exactly um I want to ask you cuz you just got here we set up I want to ask you about what happened on Saturday but I feel like it's not something you want to talk about on podcast like like like where was I yeah oh um give me a second yeah for sure Spencer yeah you you made me pour out a little bit of water that was in there for a few days yeah I just drink it and I'm fine so like why didn't you want like a little bit old water that was in a covered plastic bottle um because I don't like to drink water that's been sitting all right I I I I can't talk about okay I had to go through the whole event and make sure that it was just that was just kind small that's you yeah you were just like I won't be able to make it and I was like that's fine but we're just we're all living in mystery it could have been UFOs no it was a very similar um Lacy though better from cancer has like a those after effects from chemotherapy it's a poison in your veins um a very similar uh one not at [ __ ] 11: p.m. like last time we had to go to the ER for no [ __ ] reason and it was the only time that L was out of the house in like years and we spent it in the uh a very similar thing but this time was in the middle of the day and we could just go and go see somebody at was more time and I got back at like 900 p.m. or something and I was like it's too late to go [ __ ] around yeah stay here and watch movie with her she's not feeling well but tldr Lacy was not feeling well yeah yeah I was trying to figure out if they said anything but they they did not kind of sounds like aliens could be could be she does have to see her person next week I guess alien person someone she came to me today and said I didn't know I had an appointment for whoever this is next week but somebody texted me and said I need to go and I was like okay dang so well I guess I should have said I was aliens yeah yeah glad everything's good oh yeah I played with the idea of having Cadman be there but I was like nah so you're it's it's so much easier to have the character disappear and then have them come back because then the player is also like I don't know what happened yeah I makes total sense yeah total sense yeah it it was so weird though cuz you I don't think you've ever missed a ice windale nor a witchlight so it was okay I won't say it was weird it was just like H where's Craig we've never done this before yeah but it was fun it was a really good time it was everything went fine it was great um cadman's already pretty quiet anyways so like it was yeah yeah it was just kind of there was a moment where I was just like oh we never done this before mhm yeah it was kind of a tossup cuz even when I we were going La is like you could just go and I was like yeah but what if it isn't nothing mhm yeah then I should be there and that would be harder to get a hold of me and then go hey I have to leave mid game oh yeah and not explain what's going on if she doesn't want to explain it all I like why don't we just I like why don't we just shoot for it's not not [ __ ] 11:00 p.m. yeah we'll go if it's rad then it's whatever and we'll come back and we'll come out faster than we did yeah and then if it's not I'll I didn't have to [ __ ] bounce and go sorry guys I have to leave unexpected that's easier to just do it this way so I I numbered all the podcast episodes today um so now every episode is numbered and the episode where we celebrate the 101st episode is the 103rd hell yeah it's hard to count when this when it goes High it really is I mean I remember I remember you did you were like I think it's this so we just went with it yeah I even thinking that episode we're like we don't think it's the 101st but H we'll sell H suppos the 100th anyway so we're already [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah I really thought the aerian Taco Bell episode was episode 100 it's not it's it was the episode where balers gate came out but then I goofed and I was like oh [ __ ] so it's actually a different one now U actually I think is it is a Stan going to Taco Bell that one's my favorite thumbnail ever that's such a good one I so I also today got to go through and look at all of the thumbnails I just and it was so weird watching our entire life progress but only through thumbnails it was so weird I could like tell when the one thing I couldn't tell though is when we moved I was like wait did we move yet oh yeah okay yeah and I that one was a little bit hard to find out but I can tell when the the old thumbnails become the new thumbnails and then I can tell when I start giving up and then Craig starts doing the thumbnails and the thumbnails quality go from very low to extremely high very quickly it's like there's one where it's just it's just nothing there's just nothing in there and then there's one where it's like it's the magic it's the lord of the I say that's the first one that I actually tried and it's me and the crowd and I'm like even color corrected into the art I'm like w that one is crazy another one of my favorite ones is a new Challenger approaches which is when you got to sit here and you were in the camera and just Spencer being like her whole head turned around like this and I'm like it's so funny some really really good ones that I got very lucky half the time I spend like 15 minutes just scrubbing and I'm like this one this one this one I don't know man uh but since her with her head turned around I was like oh I I have to do something she's looking at some I don't know what we need to do what the other big channels do which is they just take oh my God separate pictures please for the love of God I to ask I was like I need to get like a like a template and I need everybody in the cast just to sit down and give me yeah partial three fours one half full on well the issue is emotion one emotion two emotion three yeah the issue that happens is you'll you don't want to use just the face because the clothes will be different so you'll be able to tell so what you have to do what what I've seen a lot of channels do is they have a photographer that just takes pictures during the thing they're doing and then they use those for thumbnails so they take a bunch and then they use those really high quality pictures that are at different angles or they just do it afterwards they get a good one then they just kind of like okay now we'll just take some thumbnail pictures and then that's kind of it and then you don't have to use a 240p sometimes one's crunchy and sometimes they not sometimes the lighting matters anytime I'm [ __ ] around if I'm like hey can we can can can we white balance it's so that I don't have to try and un orange somebody inside a thumbnail yeah there's some really good ones I'm I'm very very pleased with them every time I do one I'm very happy that's awesome I'm very proud of that uh I don't want the [ __ ] context of it but I make everyone like Hollywood people oh we on post Malone that one's really good that one's so I'm really that made me want face tattoos anytime we did balers gate was fun I'm very happy with I was cuz there's a one where you're Orin and the color correction into your neck to your real skin tone I was like at at that point I erased it and I just painted it Photoshop like I'm going to draw cck in that one too which is crazy um there's another one good yeah yeah yeah oh my God the ghost one is crazy yeah that nut I made all of your clothes one of my favorite ones is the Cyber Punk one that one is so cool that one is awesome look so good that I have a lot of very good I you if you notice I use a lot of similar ones I have like Allstar pictures of you guys um yours is like a stern look that I can put your a beard on easily and then Spencer has that cyberpunk one where her hair is kind of like flipped and perfectly feathered and I'm like this one's going to be on everything if I don't do it I love my thumbnails so much fun it's it's it's great but it was it was fun to go through and look at all of them I was just like man we've done this a lot it's really crazy um but the um the oh there was something I was going to say about that and I can't remember what it was you better crack up on another one just eating Reese's eggs Jacob ordered um Target to our door and I was like hm what's this she sent me yeah it's so many eggs you said yesterday to me at like 10:30 p.m. I want Reese's peanut butter eggs I could literally eat 50 right now and I was like all right bet there you go I didn't know I also didn't know which ones you really wanted I've had two God damn I may have been wrong 50 is a lot 50 is a lot i' die um there was something I was going to say about how many episodes we've done oh I don't know thanks for watching this yeah was a lot oh that's what I was going to say guys I noticed when going through and being able to look at all the views of our various episodes the ones that get the most views are our D and D ones so we have to we we need to pump the numbers up we need to make this one A D and D episode I don't like talking about D and D shut stop no stop yeah you do no yes I play it all the time yeah that means you're expert this is my fun time not to talk about this is your fun time stay away from it this is why we'll never grow oh quick we got to grow we got to we got talk biggest ones is when we talk about coll yeah campaign 3 or something it's like 50 some odd thousand yeah that one was huge yeah that one was huge a lot um Spencer quickly what's what's something that grinds your gears in in D and D oh man incumbrance in wait what encumbrance really why I hate it just in general yeah you're no you're wrong you're putting it on I am yeah that's what I thought that's what I thought I don't know there's not much I dislike I I know that too because I know you like going your inventory yeah it did suck on Saturday though when I picked up the Alchemy jug and then I was encumbered oh I we should tell you about the portal items oh yeah um one of them we don't need to talk about the first one uh whoa whoa whoa was very sweet we'll come back around and talk about the first one the um one of them was an Alchemy jug but it's only mayonnaise every single one is mayonnaise that one was fun it appeared right as combat started and it kept it got kicked around a little bit and then eventually you picked it up but then you were comfort so now Anastasia has it strapped to her back yeah you Bal gate you pick something up and your character like yeah comat because 30 lb I was incumbered wow Colton was like so is each one transformed into mayo or is is it like one's 8 O of mayo and I was like no no how much Mayo is in one it's like 2 gallons I'm like each one is 2 gallons of mayo he was like damn it I was hoping the 12 O of sea water could be or 12 lb gallons of sea water could be 12 gallons of May I was like oh and you open eight o of mayo you [ __ ] he he was trying to get you yeah anytime calling ask for clarifications cuz he has an alternative plan yeah he just needs the one thing he'll take the other way around like oh like you know this little thing oh then that means yeah I'm I'm too wary of it what was the other ones um oh you guys finally got the 12 pack of healing potions oh yeah did it it come with the the little plastic ring around it it did not but we joked about it we thought it was funny and then I was like no it's more like kind of in like a carrying case not like a cardboard one but a nice one and then Mia said like like the thing you put and then she laughed at herself and she says this is is really telling of who how of a person I am I thought of the things that root beer come in and I was like yeah oh not beer yeah which is funny um we got the the staff that's a grown tube oh yeah she has a plus one quarter staff and it goes that one was fun that the fifth one the Alchemy jug was the last one it was yeah oh yeah you're right there's one in the middle we missed um oh they're all screaming it us right now yeah it was a oh man was it in the middle of the fight or was it after the fight or is was Alchemy took really the last one I'm pretty sure yeah there was the there oh oh the the the the crown oh the crown yeah you got little Crown the crown was a chest item oh but it did come from a donation M with that was the treasure chest that came from the 250 you got a you got a low Crown I did um so nice there's armor and a sword they have so much stuff for you oh we have plate mail for you Jesus Christ that someone's a night stat block yo that's kind of funh it's a little ghost KN yeah um what the [ __ ] was it I'm going to go look at the form it's that guy from strad what's his name the he's the Knight of of um that Dragon what's his name Argan Bost yeah Argan us is a dragon what's the knight's name Vladimir um something like that it's yeah um there's there's uh Godfrey and is it I think it's Vladimir horard I think that's right there are magic card too it's [ __ ] hell yeah they're on a horse together but only in Arena for some reason that is weird they're an arena card it's like the two gay ghouls from uh from from from cursive stri ghouls are they I know Godfrey is like an undead and Vladimir's a he's a ghost no they're both they're both oath Breakers they're no oh my God that's what I listen to guys we're getting good lighting there's a big truck outside with white and we're just like blown out God oh wait truck it's going to slowly go away and we're going to we're just going to getal yeah yeah or a podcast or not a podcast an audio book which is dangerous dust all over my glasses it's dangerous to to listen to an audiobook to fall asleep because I'll I'll hit like the little like sleep thing where it'll be like end of chapter and then I try to stay awake just enough to know what's going on in the book and then I fall asleep got it yeah this is terrible for the podcast we're talking about things people can leave listening to this to go listen to well I mean it look look I mean you you have to pay for the audio book most of the time U Craig what do you got because mine's a pretty long list U kind of ditto yeah I just had those two things um there's a YouTube channel called the exploring series which I really like they I think they started doing a lot of SCP stuff but I moved on to other things which I really enjoy um but they have a lot of really long form content uh then I follow this older Channel That's now dead unfortunately not to not to [ __ ] bum anyone out um called I think it's called the switcher but they their official channel is like two Two Best Friends Play oh that's cool um I think they discontinued their Channel like oh God I even know like maybe seven years ago I love them [ __ ] to death though um that's and I always listen to their C their cotour playthrough or their LA Noir play through uh there's another person that I cherish called plue of gripes that um plays a lot of he's he's an artist for one and an animator for two but he also does a lot of like Dark Souls content and he's just has a very soothing voice and I'll just listen to it and when I broke my shoulder and I was like bedridden for like four months that's what I listen to uh so now anytime I hear his voice my brain goes I did that for a while when I was playing Elden ring I would listen to um one second I I cannot remember either their name VA video first of all has like the best videos but also um that's her name she she does really good uh uh uh she just talks about Elden ring and Dark Souls Lauren um her voice is very soothing and I go good night um recently I've been listening to a lot of rain I don't know that's kind of classic I just rain has been really soothing for some reason I've never really been a listen to White Noise kind of person but now recently just been listening to before having a baby it had to be completely silent and completely dark yeah now I need white noise it's weird uh then um people i' mask I move around all the time there's lots of different people I listen to and things that I shift into so right now it's rain and I normally can't listen to a podcast cuz it's too loud and I get too interested but last night I did fall asleep listening to uh Rett and Link eat Slim gyms so I don't know not not their podcast just not not their podcast especially not their podcast cuz their podcast is very heavy and very intense so I it's like I be like du but uh no they they they were I was watching it and then fell asleep I didn't mean to so it doesn't happen too often but um I listen I've listened to a lot of ASM artists over the years so my favorite ones are probably good night Moon gimchi ephemeral Rift uh and those are kind of my top three those three I'm just going to say those three those those are my top three those are good um like to listen to like really long form like horror stuff but the problem is we did depends where I'm sleeping but if it if it works out my headphones will fall out and I'm fine yeah or I wake up at like 5:00 a.m. I'm disoriented and yeah and there's also like some scary [ __ ] happening in my ears and I'm like what is happening I'm like I just need to take those out I need to reset and then go back to bed I cannot do that there there is so there's another thing I like to listen to which is um there's these long compilations of people just reading fun facts I love that [ __ ] because I could to go oh oh and I fall asleep it's very nice I love listening but there's not enough of it yeah cuz I've listened to all of them so I know all the facts but uh uh uh there are sometimes it will autoplay a fun facts there's a guy who does you videos and I do not remember his name um but he does fun facts but they're all horror True Crime SCP scary [ __ ] and I'm like and then I'll wake up and I'll be like and I throw him out and I have to listen to something else I had a weird dream last night I had a extremely strange dream last night so we got to talk about D and D this episode guys come on no we're talking about dreams all right so I have not had a vivid realistic dream like this in a while normally my dreams are very strange I sent you a tweet last night of somebody who said uh because this this is extremely accurate I'm sure we can all relate it says dream logic is so weird you'll be exploring an underwater shipwreck but you'll also be like this is the Walmart that my dad owns and that is the most accurate thing to how I dream so last night I I I I was and I'm also a person that thinks my dream is real I'm never like this is a dream I'm like this this is reality now we are getting ready for a stream I don't know what stream it is we're just getting ready for a stream and you uh there's lore to this one I have for some reason I first of all I do not read a lot of fanfiction I have read fanfiction I've read smudy fanfiction before I not somebody who does this regularly it is very rare far and few between not nearly as much as my wife and I um I in this in this dream I inherently know that I have a Google doc on my Google Drive that has a bunch of uh smudy fanfiction that I have like 12 or 13 of them that I have copy pasted into this Google dog keep yeah save them and then I have gone through and edited to like for me I've gone through I've added I've edited I've gone through I'm like name I'm typing Jacob in there I have on my life on my life on God I have never done this before I have I just is never happened I I have never done this I don't know but I do not do it in the dream I just inherently know that I have this it's very weird and I don't realize that until I wake up and I think about it I'm like that didn't even happen in the dream anyways we're getting ready for a stream uh I think it's Eon I'm pretty sure we're getting ready for everon I'm sitting in there I'm at my chair um Grace is there you're there you're there and you guys keep like going mhm and you keep like making references at me that I don't I Recall now but I know that I'm like I know what that is so it's this weird thing where I'm getting the information but I'm not actually hearing what it is but I accept it I'm like how do you guys know what's going on and you guys are like well you uh you it's you and it's you two who are like you need to go look at the the Eon uh the new rules you wrote for Eon and I open the Google Doc and I accidentally have pasted the entire like 50 page smut that I that is my personal smut in to that document and what has happened is all of you have shared it with each other made copies of it and have all read all of it and did not tell me the past the past like two weeks it's been two weeks and you're all like we're going to get Jacob with this and I am just you guys are just getting Jabs at me and I in the dream I'm so mad I'm like why did nobody tell me why did nobody tell me this happened and you and you guys are like he he it's funny and I'm like what it's not funny and then I kind of start to think it's funny like I like give in peer pressure I'm like I guess it's a little funny but I'm so embarrassed I'm like no this can't I like delete it and you guys are like no we we made copies of it we have it I'm like what and I'm kind of like I feel so betrayed by you I'm like why would you do this and you're were like what are you talking about like I sent it to everybody I thought it was the funniest and I was like oh okay maybe maybe I'm crazy maybe I'm what I and then I vividly remember Colton and Jordan coming into our our space here and they both I'm like Colton did you know and he's like no and he's like but he's lying I can tell that he's lying I'm like how long have you known and he's just like I don't know anything I don't know what you're talking about and he and Jordan are like like they're like laughing with each other and then Jordan goes look Jacob like he it's so weird how how real it was he's like he talks like Jordan he goes look Jacob I uh I could give you some critiques if you want um and he starts to critique what I added and change he's like personally I wouldn't do this I wouldn't add this and I'm like for some reason in the dream I am like I'm like mhm okay okay yeah you know what I could I could have done that better why did you read it and you were like why don't we just play and then I wake up oh and I and I look over you I'm like I just had the [ __ ] craziest dream that's [ __ ] crazy yeah I don't know what that means I don't know if I feel like I'm going to be betrayed by all of you somehow or I'm really scared of you guys finding something on my Google Drive that is not there that does not exist but that was my dream last night that's funny it was really really strange uh I do not know if anyone us would do that no I would yeah I woke up and I was like that was weird it is funny that dream me did that yeah I think well I think what was funny about funny to see the Bizarro World Spencer just completely flame you for like that I think I it was like my own brain testing myself to be like how far would you let these group of people this group of people go and it was like What if they embarrassed you so badly but they all thought it was funny and weirdly there was a part of me I was like ah they all think it's funny it's fine and I was like wait wait wait wait wait wait wait so I was like at war with myself being like no no no no no but they're all enjoying themselves wait wait wait wait like kept going back and forth so that was what was I I was in turmoil in my sleep last night yeah that's what I get for taking one melatonin after I haven't taken it for like two weeks oh my God cuz I could not fall asleep last night yeah it's always the Melatonin that's how we got elf baby yeah really Elon and dreams will get you I feel that [ __ ] pel [ __ ] [ __ ] me up yeah so bad yeah yeah um anyways uh D and D um what's uh what's what's like a um they push back the new books that sucks they did B September or something think it's next year maybe it's a good thing next year I think so whoa uh no no no um players handbook is in September really and then the rest and the monster man the DM better next year yeah yeah oh wow that's weird they it got it got put till like the end of the year I I'm I'm pretty sure I I feel like I remember we to separate them I guess maybe it's not weird to separate they did that with 5v2 they released them they they released them it's like players handbook then two months later it was Monster manual and two months later it was I I guess two months is is pretty good I think that I think they're doing the same thing it is weird that it's like the new rules and they're not putting them all together I feel like yeah it's just how they did in the past they they it's it's it's better business practice because then they get more sales cuz people cuz it's same thing with uploading YouTube videos you don't want to upload everything on the same day cuz then nobody will watch the first two and they'll just watch the last one or the first one yeah so guess so but it's books though you want all three yeah that's mean plus plus they're all conjoined like they they need to coexist to some degree yeah but I think they're banking on some people being like well well I want this because of the hype yeah you know because people are going to be like the mus man is finally out anyways yeah it doesn't make sense and it's pretty good to release the new book maybe that was a push to get it out before Christmas too yeah yeah my quarter well good I'm glad they're taking their time that's that's my thing is I'm now now at the end of my life I'm like now that now that I have adult brain I'm like when things get pushed back I'm like it's probably for a good reason yeah yeah yeah yeah um I completely agree with that isn't about my [ __ ] weird dream yeah I did almost message the group chat and tell everybody that because because it so vivid but I was like that's weird I just talk about all the part I will say similar that as you find a question um yeah if we ever ever a one shot day I really want to run that one about the dream I had I I had a crazy [ __ ] benil dream oh yeah and I woke up and I was like that is probably the coolest thing and I thought about it for like months I was like I kind of want to write a little story for it I want to do a little thing and I because I like to like kind of prep myself especially because of how I name things with with [ __ ] red line I have a lot of Amara stuff the next little bit I have so many like four or five different like songs I'm trying to like go is this is this a title worthy thing can I get a vibe from this and tons of [ __ ] but nice a lot of good stuff I'm I'm very excited for it uh I added uh I'm so upset what I've only ever done this once I goofed the intro for spell Jammer last time oh yeah and I didn't I didn't put the new one on it so it didn't have the new on so I need to go back and like I want to add I need to add it to the comments and description too unfortunate well it's well I can still put it in I can find a way to fix it but it's funny because um I always listen to the songs that you put um and this this was the first one where I added it to my playlist which was let's play clowns by Minus the Bear freaking I i' been listening to that song it's a good song Someone on the podcast recommended Minus the Bear to me hey they [ __ ] spilled into every aspect of my life I have so many other songs I was like where do I want to do it and I was thinking about honk uh the clown that I put the space clown inod and I was like I'll play this track for him and then that'll be the one mon thing I want to do I I look at it grabbing the trash can the our trash can's getting grabbed it got pinched in the middle the whole trash can folded inwards yeah no no no no he missed oh I just watched the garbage guy Miss hit the middle and the whole trash can went like a can and then it and then it it just opened back up and he grabbed it that was funny sorry I got distracted um yeah that song's great it's a good song um and I have been listening to this playlist recently there's two uh on Spotify one of them is called music to listening to while reading berserk which I was music that I was listening to while reading berserk it's by otee man but now I listen to it while I'm writing cuz I love the playlist it's so good it's like it's got sukunda from uh from Skyrim it's got Serenity from re4 it's got Hunter Dream from bloodborne and then it's got like got the song of healing from AJ's mask it has uh some Hollow night it has some and it has some other anime songs in here like stuff from Death Note devil man crybaby um and then there's one from chainsaw man in here there some Elden ring it is is such a Vibe it's like it's cynthy I love ambient synth it is oh is so good I love it and then there's another playlist I've been listening to which is also on Spotify and it is it is called uh hopecore 2024 and it has the crying wo Jack on it and it is it's it's such a good playlist it makes me feel really good good um the wild reads cuz they're just amazing and then um the Mulan Rouge soundtrack specifically rockand specifically specifically rockand um Remy wolf yeah yeah yes it's just Emma seeping into my brain's got good taste she does um I can't say I don't I want to spoil who they are but a lot of a lot of artists good for spell Jammer Co oh I wanted to let you know because the trash can distracted me um I really want to go through descend yeah and I'm not going and I'm like this is not nearly enough you're not I need three dermis layers taken off all right you're only taking off half five if if it's on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 is like power washing like stand there and Sh andan asks having now played FFG Star Wars uh Fantasy Flight is that what that is for yeah Star Wars what are your thoughts on it it wasn't touched on much in the twoot but I really enjoy the crit system in it where you roll a d00 for effects and 150 plus being an instant kill possible with bonuses I really really liked this system oh and Sherk and Chan also shared this art piece of what looks like a character that they have that's like a IG Co it's a Droid character I love the the the Fantasy Flight system it was very very cool I it reminded me a lot of Fallout but more Loosey Goosey which it was very fun I had a really good time with it the dice is a little confusing but I feel like you get into it pretty fast actually actually I feel like in the long term if I played it longer it would be a very simple system that would just take a little bit of time to get used to because it's very it was very fun it was very cool how creative you got to be but also there were still everything kind of had a stat so it I that is my perfect that like that is like perfect to me you you've got some hard rules but you've also got a lot of imagination that you get to throw in um it was very very fun there's a lot that I want to steal um for a system that I'm writing so um yeah it's it's very cool it was very cool had a lot of fun the crit system seems neat we didn't I [ __ ] love that yeah we talking about you play it like almost every Sunday we do yeah um and the crit system is a lot of fun there's a lot of me my last character I had was a like a wook and we ruled only through crit system combats so I would have like there's a perk you can have called vicious which when you crit on someone um so what what what Sean saying is like if you reach at a certain threshold they can be instantly killed vicious essentially adds 10 to that threshold so if I crit someone with the weapon has like vicious six they're starting at base 60 then you roll and then whatever that is you get plus 60 so you can potentially just go into these really terrible like like multiple crits and if you get multiple times and you have like a a staggered like um just more math in the tail end of it and it's so cool um the GES a lot of fun so I this this is now a thing I I I want to I want to bring up and talk about I this this it's my favorite when it comes to ttrpg just general in game design is the way that that game works the way that I try to design Fallout and the way that I feel like 5y and why why it shines so well and why it's so fun is because it's taking its Baseline system and then the cool stuff that you get to do rules go a SC from 100 if you at theidea of a D20 being zero to 20 the fact that you get a bonus to it means like whoa I can get above 20 I think that that at its core is like the core idea of what makes most games especially ttrpgs really fun especially for me and that's why when I like when I like to make magic items and when I like to when I'm creating kind of in that and especially when I was was I was making Fallout what I want you guys to be able to do what I want my players to feel is like they're pushing the limit of the system to do something more that only they can do and it feels like they're and you can also have monsters do that too which is what what's fun about that and I think that's why I have a hard time with Pathfinder sometimes I love Pathfinder I love our Pathfinder game it's great but I also have a lot of criticism um uh towards it which is like I feel like sometimes it it really wants to be that it really wants to be like no we have three actions and we're going to we're going to put everything into these three actions so it's going to feel really can do whatever you want with those things and then you kind of get you kind of just get locked into being like well no there's a there's a Baseline and you can't really break that Baseline but it makes you feel like you can by going your your stat in this is now plus 15 you're like wao that's crazy and then you realize the tier you're playing on is like oh no if you don't have a plus 15 then you're bad at it and it's like that's [ __ ] sucks and that's the only time recently that I felt like wo this is the coolest thing this game so far was last time when Albert was playing Sonata and casted haste on a aera fist it gave me an extra action so you have three actions n four now that that fourth one you can only use certain things with it but it's still it was I was like oh my God this is the first time I feel like second edition Pathfinder kind of broke its system a little bit to let me have a cool thing yeah yeah that's kind of that's kind of why that system is so hard to feel cool in sometimes cuz it just feels like I'm trying to reach a baseline except for you I feel like you're cool game the spells that you cast are so awesome yeah it it does it is starting to get a little stale though because I'm trying to pick spells that fit specifically for my character and there's tons of spells in Pathfinder yeah there are very few that are like actually fit character and then I feel like like D and D kind of does this like especially fifth edition really does this where like you'll have spells that will like I mean just the base idea of the fact that they overpower a fireball on purpose I think just adds to like the fun of what you can do within fifth edition but also to the fact that you can really kind of break the system and it doesn't really change like how the gameplay is um you can you I I I've played in games where 5 is so home brw and crazy that it's like how is this even the same game that I've played in G 5 where it's like Baseline like even in like balers Gate 3 and even then there's dumb [ __ ] that you can do in 5 that is like I mean that's kind of intended this is the point last night when we were playing our balers Gate 3 game um with uh Davi and Emma and deer um we uh we were fighting uh the dragon that's underneath Boulder's Gate without spoiling anything and we what did we did this thing that was oh my God there is an ability that you get where you as a it's a tadpool ability where you can take half of your hit points and give it to somebody else's hit points but we were like would that work in a globe of invulnerability and so we did it and it you because you're invulnerable you don't take the damage and you immediately heal the other person 96 and it's like that you break the system a little bit but it's cool because you thought of it like that's so fun that you can do that I just think that's fun I think just in general that that um all to say the Star Wars system felt that way and it's very cool I I think a lot of people would agree I mean Christ at least for the audience of one you have right here I mean I look at spell Jammer yeah yeah I absolutely agree yeah you you you literally go okay so we're playing 5 here's this thing that actively just just breaks everything it's like cool love that so much fun it feels like with the Star Wars thing you're kind of making up the rules as you go because like the GM gets to go sets the difficulty yeah it honestly feels kind of like a little bit more of a rule rule like more rules with a city of mist yeah that's that's what Justin says he he and why he prefers the system is that he says that he likes that Star Wars allows negotiation between player and DM yes that there's less there's less of a um DM sets goal player jumps to goal yes he says it's a description of I like to go what do you want to do in your turn they have a general idea then we then that's that that's the difference we roll the dice and we interpret what we can get out of that yes and what is the result look like That's So Co cu the system rarely wants you to fail like terribly bad or not in a way that's not particularly like in some way beneficial because you could still have failures and still getting getting advantages yeah so there's a lot of like middle of grounds and he really likes that aspect that yeah it is fluid Lex City a Miss but there's still enough rules to rely on if you need to be like what the [ __ ] can I do with all this resources that I have like oh here's a table yeah I'm sorry I cut you off in the middle of what you were saying did you want to did you have more you wanted in it and if we put it in the pan she will cry and throw a fit and won't eat it she wants and I'm not talking like it's not that she wants the tortilla cooked she is upset that the big bag of cheese that we grate is no longer available to her anymore cuz I can tell the difference between her crying it's not I'm upset this isn't what I want it's a cry she's sad she doesn't have the cheese anymore so she wants a cooked quesadilla but also wants to have shredded cheese on a tortilla so sometimes give her both but sometimes we start making quesadilla and she starts to cry she just eats cheese on a tortilla yeah sometimes that's kind of like one Mexican pizzas it's just not it's not flavor go it's close it's close if we open the fridge and she sees that bag of cheese it's over she's like blackout box yeah Fran Anderson asks I'm trying to learn to play guitar and Jacob you seem quite good what tips thanks what tips do you have for people trying to play anyone May answer if they have insights um and Albert responded to that and said playing strings instruments are mostly about about dexterity and flexibility with your fingers while many want to instantly play chords and sick licks practice 60 to 70% of your time placing your fingers on the Frets and as smoothly as possible and the rest of the chords strumming Etc I Echo Albert um I'm not that good at playing guitar I'm like I'm I'm I'm technically like beginner guitar and I never progressed any further I know how to play chords and my fingers are small so I can't really play power chords and I have a hard time playing bar chords because I don't have a lot I have small hands um or well I have big hand but I have fat hand so I can't it just I don't have long Dexter fingers but I can still kind of do some [ __ ] because I played piano when I was younger so I I can get more length out of my fingers than I than I should um so I it was there was there's basically a a ceiling that I hit when I was learning guitar when I was like 14 that I could not get past because I just don't have it it would have taken all of my time and it would have required me to play like hours for every single day too with how to play chords that's PR I like I don't know how to play guitar I feel like I know how to make music sometimes and if I had more capability I I would do it more often but same as Albert uh it's it's like with anything if you just practice it will get easier and easier and easier I my callus goes away so you'll go callus on your fingers when you play guitar it'll hurt like a [ __ ] [ __ ] the first couple of weeks you do it especially if you've never played it'll take a while for it to build build but it will build your your body can do it and uh once you have a pretty good callous on your fingers it'll be so easy to play and also your body will learn to bring it back if you ever stop playing and you come back to it cuz uh when I was younger it took like a month for callus to grow now takes a few days because my body's ready for it and so I still have some callus that is on my fingers that stays there forever but if I if I get back into playing again um it it gets pretty fun but play things that you think are going to be fun because if you try to learn things are like this is easy to learn just don't do that just because the way that I got into it is I I played like songs that I liked and that got me motivated to want to keep doing it more so that's that's that's how I have fun with it but um just learn some chords just learn like just learn if you can learn a minor f c and uh C A minor fcg you can play 60% of songs so many songs are those four chords it is [ __ ] crazy how many songs are just those wordss and then I I don't have any advice for strumming uh strumming uh unfortunately what came extremely naturally it's very it's I don't I can't explain it i' I've I've tried to teach my sister guitar a few times and she can't the strumming is the hardest part for her and I'm like I I I don't know how to tell you you just kind of have to like yeah there um ultimate guitar is a really good website that has uh cool like strumming patterns that you can go on and it'll kind of give you like the D dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun if you want to kind of like practice it so don't play chords just like practice the strums and it's it's good time it's fun oh plastic string guitars are much easier uh like the the nylon string ones most like um Mexican guitars are are built that way that's what um I didn't learn how to use it on that but in high school when I took a guitar class those were the ones that we used and I wish I started with it because it's so much easier on your fingers to build callus and then eventually move to um uh metal strings which is yeah anyways I can talk about it forever but um just practice it's like it's it's it's like any other art form [Music] you played a little bit of guitar you were in Miss guth's class I was and it was terrible you didn't like it no I didn't and she quite a cuz it was she was teaching two instruments in the same class oh yeah and she definitely prioritized uh she taught bells and she taught guitar at the same time and it was terrible because she would send all the guitar St students outside to practice because I think she really wanted to bring the bells into the school because it was a new option so she was prioritizing that and quite often she'd be like do you want to play Bells instead and I'd be like yes cuz it's warm in your classroom and I don't want to be outside so oh cuz guitar was outside guitar was outside damn she was just like go yes um so I did learn a little bit of guitar I'm not very good at it I have a [ __ ] up wrist and can't hold a guitar for very long cuz you broke your wrist I I did break my wrist yeah you F 20 stories I did fall a dodgeball I did Dodge [ __ ] that's rough my guy yeah uh I um uh we had a music performance class in high school and I know nobody liked it because I had I went to nerd high school and nobody wanted to play an instrument in front of a bunch of people yeah but you needed the credit I [ __ ] loved it it was a time for me it's like what any musician early musician dreams of just like just practicing this new song can't wait to play it in front of everybody it was an excuse to be the guy at the party that plays wonder wall in front of everyone it was amazing it was everything my extroverted ass wanted there were a handful of students who were like this is my time and then it was great the rest of the class was like can I only perform in front of the teacher please Tyler and I did a um did a cover of time from inception I played piano and Tyler played the violin and we did we yeah we we did we did Inception soundtrack it was awesome and then and then another time I played guitar and uh we did the two of us did uh the Assassin's Creed Black Flag intro it was so awesome because uh Tyler did the melody so it did the and I was doing the chords was the it was so [ __ ] cool at least in my head when I was 16 it was badass I'm sure if I found it again I'd be like this sounds like [ __ ] but it was it was cool to us you [ __ ] got it that's all that matters we did a me and my sister did a uh this is just for you Craig we did a um we did a what was it it was a Coldplay Melody midle we mashed a bunch of Coldplay songs together we it counts it's good it's good well about it I I [ __ ] Wish U I did not play an instrument at all except a recorder in fourth grade like everyone else dude I remember playing the recorder probably also in fourth grade and my favorite thing about it was we got to spray this like minty spray on it yeah yeah I was like I'm I'm here to for the mouthwash I'm going to spay on this does Mia does Mia play any instruments I don't think so but I can tell you for sure does Jack I think Jack might know how to play an instrument he knows how to sing really it would surprise me if both Mia and our brother did considering how much like church they went to early in their lives uh they they probably could play P piano I about play but they I wouldn't surprise me I bet Mia would be like not really I did it a little bit and then if we brought out a piano she'd know like so a bunch of CHS because she does actually have muscle memory yeah yeah tell about it no Whenever there were Arts I did not I I did the actual like the art classes not the the acting or the music I was do all that we just didn't have art classes we had one art class Jordan taught an art class taught like a was like a comic class we made comic strips that's fun oh that's fun Jordan always had the best classes yeah Jordan did we we we had a lot of stuff for for the two places that I grew up um a lot of good art class classes one even Tod Photoshop for like for like a year but that didn't last very long yeah I think they I think they expected you to take um the art classes that would do it again unless like I really wanted to I think we did cuz I was pregnant and we're like it was it was kind of a long flight and it wasn't much more expensive than it would have been to just plane and I didn't oh yeah I just watched Deadpool 2 really drunk I can't imagine getting Drunk On A Plane I had explode oh I wish it's kind of nice cuz time passes by really fast I fall asleep when find Fresno like what are you doing well well the distance from Fresno to Salt Lake City is about5 minutes so yeah getting in the [ __ ] airport and then getting off the plane takes longer than flight in the air between fres Nota cic City yeah I've have only fallen asleep on a plane once and I was pregnant so yeah I've never every time I will every time I fall asleep 5 minutes but I'm also the that's how I drive nor one I get very get very motion sick but if I'm in a car for more than 5 minutes you're not driving I I'm asleep I can't in the car all right it's it's it's rapid fire um oh
