[Music] come on if you serve a good god somebody give God the best praise that you got look at your neighbor and say neighbor that's my practice praise I'm gonna take 15 seconds and praise God for every mountain he brought me over for every valley he took me through come on I need somebody who understands that if it had not been for the Lord who was on your side somebody shout like he's away maker like he's a miracle worker like he's opening door like he's moving mountains [Music] viago make me have choice at night look at somebody around you and say I want to warn you from the start I want to warn you I tend to praise God at any second look back at them and say why because I have a memory which means when I think [Applause] of the goodness of Jesus and all that he's done for me somebody oughta praises [Music] listen I'm just so excited I'm so excited to be here man I'm maintenance there are there aren't many people God kind of takes you to a place where you meet people who you desire to meet and once you meet them you don't think you like them no more God has given me this opportunity to meet people who are heroes of mine then the moment I meet them I say I don't think I like that person because everybody my social media heads aren't who they posts to be get you catch what I just said but I want to say man when it comes to having an authentic integra man of God I thank God for this brother right here I mean it can you praise God for the best pastor come on now I mean [Applause] I want to be honest this ain't going this ain't I'm not leaving this here this is coming with me let me say this I was at a pastors conference about a year ago and my turn this feat was done and they looked at me and said we got to get you to the airport after three minutes of hearing him talk I said let's change my flight I need to hear some more what he got to say because favor ain't fair watch this but wisdom ain't free did you catch what I just said I thank God for 21st century Solomon somebody shout Amen so I honor you sir I thank God for you who came to get a word tonight anybody missing on behalf of my family I left my wife at home we have five kids so a seed help me pray for him paper we have five kids from twelve eleven ten four two four boys one girl so she packed her back this morning and said what we going I said you stay in here I got to do what God told me to do so no she sends her love do y'all stand for the reading of the word is that cool let's stand if you don't mind is that Alright grab your Bible go to Acts chapter 28 grab your Bible go to Acts chapter 28 [Music] move God Acts chapter 28 let's commence with verse 1 we'll stop around verse 5 once you got it shot I got it if you need a little time shout Lord help me if you're waiting on it to hit the screens they put it on the screen I thought my church was the only church without Bibles once we were safe on shore we learned that we were on an island called Malta the people of the island were very kind to us it was cold and rainy so they built us a fire on the shore to welcome us as Paul gathered an armful of sticks and was laying them on the fire a poisonous snake driven out by the heat bit him on the Hank and I'm pausing parenthetically to digress and suggest to somebody in this room be careful of snakes the people of the island saw it hanging from his hand and said to each other a murderer no doubt though he escaped the scene justice will not permit him to leave I see something that's worth talking about in this text already how do you show me love in verse two then talk about me in verse four I must speak this and whoever can receive it can't receive it this year give me some consistent people either love me or leave me a murderer no doubt though he escaped the sea justice has not allowed him to live I feel like having a little church verse 5 but Paul shook off the snake into the fire and and was on harm find one neighbor before you sit down and say neighbor our testimony at the brook is simply this it didn't kill me you may be seated in the Lord's house as we celebrate another year we want to testify that what the devil meant for evil God has already worked it for my good somebody shout it didn't kill me and the whole church said it was Zahra Neale Hurston who said and I quote if you're silent about your pain your enemies will kill you and say you enjoyed it in tonight's text we meet a brother who's in purpose but also in pain and I would like to suggest to you tonight that purpose and pain aren't mutually exclusive you can't have one without the other it was purposely dad David to the front line to fight Goliath but it was painful when your father didn't think you were good enough to be king it was purpose that made Joseph's dream and find favor on another level but it was painful watching your brother sell you into slavery it was purpose that made that perfect Palestinian Jew named Jesus look into a cup and suggest nevertheless thy will be done but it was painful enduring the crucifixion might I suggest to somebody at the brook tonight that if purpose pain was his death certificate purpose became my birth certificate that you can't shout over the power of the Resurrection until you grab sin totality the sovereignty of the crucifixion and I want to suggest that that may be the reason why the church is losing power because everybody want to live but don't nobody want to die and sadly we are conditioning a generation of Christians for celebration not suffering we are conditioning a new school of Christians for celebration not suffering meaning that we've teaching them how to shout on Sunday but we are not equipping them for when the devil comes knocking on their door on Wednesday and I may lose half the room right here but I gotta give it to you like I feel it praise without pain it's just a performance praise without pain it's just a performance anybody can throw their hands up and praise God when the bill is paid but I want to suggest you don't find out if you appraised until you have to praise them in the middle of something and I don't know who I'm preaching to early in this sermon that may be why fopen looking you up and down all night because the rate at which you praise God got them trying to figure out is a bill behind as a is a man tripping is your job acting funny no I'm not praising them I just realized if I'm going to be a troop raiser I have to confuse the confusion meaning if I only shout when I'm up the devil gonna catch my rhythm but I'm crazy enough to praise God when I got it and even when I don't I praise them when I'm up and I praise them when I'm down as a matter of fact look at your neighbor and say neighbor the devil can't figure me out if he wanted to coz I've learned how to praise God on such a consistent level that my momma dem can't even figure out what's going on with me because raised is what I when we tiptoe to the corridors up to night six we found ourselves situated and a culture rater and a pregnant passage we meet a brother named by the name of Paul and Paul is a cold brother he's going through an amalgam of emotions that are indicative of the human experience I like Paul Paul is a cold boy Paul be dropping knowledge that'll make you run round the church there are certain scriptures that you got to build a bridge of contemporize ation from the original audience that now properly harmonizing your Herman nudists with relevant home and let is making sure you dig the syntax and break it down complete but Paul said it ain't even got to be deep I've got scriptures that I can tell you how to make any believer shout Paul what's that and we know that God causes all things to work together for my good I said Paul before I go to South Carolina they gonna be like Birmingham because you can't tell me what to do until you give me your resume but when pray for me I'm funny like that I don't like taking constructive criticism from people who ain't constructed nothing I'm preaching that maybe why your circle frustrating you cuz time you don't tell me about my money when you own me some please i'ma stop him me but Paul Paul Paul Paul Paul Paul said Paul says Mike I need you to tell him my resume you know Paul he's been beating more times that we can remember Paul was the one who had the thorn place in his flesh Paul said let him know yeah yeah let him know I've been thrown in jail I've been beat let him know I pulled up in one city saw a girl being used as a fortune teller who should have been a prophetess I'll lose the demon of her life both got mad cuz I saved the right wrong people that may be why folk down like y'all Church out here cuz they don't mind church folk couldn't say but what you doin you saved the right wrong but Paul said I delivered her but the scripture says the people who were benefiting all her gift got mad so Paul said they beat me in my partner who's your partner Silas he said what did they do to you Paul I said Paul I can summarize what they did to you he says none of your business p.m. J I said they left you bruised beaten bloodied broken it is but breathing that that's a watch-night testimony right there bruised beaten broken bloodied but breathe they said let them know they threw me in jail but that ain't had a story in because I discovered and at midnight I may have Church Paul and Silas prayed and sing praises unto God so much so that immediately I'm gonna have Church with this side the Bible says the doors will open now your neighbor don't even understand who they sitting next to because the Bible said everybody in jail didn't shout it's there to folks shouted but everybody got an open door look down your row and say neighbor you ain't even got a shout tonight brought enough praise to open every door around me imma give you 30 seconds if you know this is your jumper open go us you are a brave look at your neighbors say neighbor I'm claiming by faith this is my season of open doors doors are opening on my job doors are opening in my career doors are opening for my family boss slit when your brings me tonight get ready for open door what Paul says everybody big shout Paul and Silas shout it but everybody got an open door but pray pray for me my problem with 21st century preaching is that we preach an incomplete gospel what does it incomplete gospel pmj the door opens so we shout about the open door but incomplete preaching leaves you at the open door because the Bible says the door open but when the God came back Paul says stop tripping we still here I'm in the wrong church I'm not trying to be funny but if I don't open for me I'm gonna walk through it but Paul said let them know at the brook that for you in this season every go God open ain't meant for you to walk out of here this goodness I said God I said God why you open that door then he said mite ain't open the door for Paul to leave I opened the door to prove the point to the people who locked him up that the only reason I'm here is because I want to be here that if I wanted to leave trust me boo-boo I could get out of this thing and ain't it crazy how people look at you and think just because you don't you can't if I wanted [Applause] yeah y'all gonna make me shot somebody shout doors are opening can i prophesy over three people that the last six months you've been going through a cycle God said because of the Seas you saw it tonight get ready come by the end of this year I'm opening a door that's gonna race on to pay your whip through somebody shot bars all goodness so Paul said let him know that's who I am so Paul said now that they understand the favor on my life tell them about Acts chapter 28 verse 1 Acts chapter 28 verse 1 is one of them scriptures that when it hits the screen if you got any type of Holy Ghost you're gonna feel this because acts 28 verse 1 says and when they have been brought safely through III thought that death then go like a plan did pastor in my head I was on the airplane I said it when I get to verse 1 I saw two ladies take out running I saw one man lift his hand I saw a book just pump his arms a couple times I cook you that when we have been brought safely oh oh I see hey no no no I see why you ain't shout I see why you ain't shout cuz you just like the folk in your life you didn't shout over his x28 cuz you don't know his acts 20:7 and ain't that just like people to hate on your now and I understand what you went through I'm in the wrong church he said Mike tell about my acts 20:7 and Acts chapter 27 Paul is a prisoner on boat they have him captive they're about to sail and Paul looks at the captain and says I perceive it is not wise for us to sail at this time what you know Paul you a prisoner sit down shut up they get halfway through and a storm breaks loose they throw-in stuff off the boat everybody panicking but while they're panicking in the storm I'm ahead shirts Paul gets a visitor my angel creeps up Nepal and says hey Paul stop trippin you got to stand trial in Rome so just know you gotta be there in a little while Paul looks at the captain of the ship it says I know y'all see the storm but stop trippin we're gonna make it the captain I'm paraphrasing looks at Paul and says what you mean we gonna make it you don't see the wind he said we're gonna make it you don't see the water we're gonna make it you don't see the storm we're gonna make it you don't see us throwing stuff off the boat we gonna make it what makes you so sure that's we gonna make it Paul says because while y'all was panicking I angel told me I've gotta stand trial and wrong what does that mean Paul y'all can't die cuz I'm on the boat everybody ain't gonna catch this but your family which treats you better if they realize the reasoning the whole family is blessed it because they connected to you I'm preaching to everybody but some of y'all got money some of y'all got power some of y'all got status but I got something you can't get from Walmart called favor Edwin babe a hit show life it ain't a devil in hell that can block [Applause] Paul sex y'all are gonna die cuz I'm on the boat now I got I got a fix you I got I got a pray for you because here's where pastors get a bad rep here's where pastors get a bad rep because Paul says y'all ain't gonna die cuz I'm on the boat then all of a sudden the next say the boat broke the pieces many of you are frustrated and don't even know it because you said in church at her pastor tell you it was your season but you left and went into a storm many of you sow seeds and page your tithe and thought the windows who are about to open and then all of a sudden you start losing stuff so can I ask you a question did Paul LA get your pastor life when he told you this was your year but you're still catching hell not Paul said Mike please letter no I didn't lie I said Paul I believe you're lying because you told them they were gonna make it but then the Bible says the broke boat broke into pieces Paul said I said we was gonna make it I never said the boat was gonna make it which means I said you coming out I never said your car was coming out and I want to suggest you happy yet to praise God till you praise them after you lost some stuff I'm not preaching to everybody but if you don't ever lost some stuff you need to give the devil a nervous breakdown cuz I may unlock my friends I may have lost my job but I didn't lose much [Music] [Applause] him give me give me so Paul boat breaks am i doing the right stuff boat breaks right boat breaks and the Bible says 276 people jump into the water I'm finna I'm from the hood so I'm gonna try to be dignified alright I'm gonna try to be dignified but the ghetto part of me pop out sometimes okay so I'm gonna be dignified but I'm just warning you - ghetto side of me make out because Paul and everybody 276 people jump off the boat in the water and the next line almost made me run around South Carolina cuz it says they made it to shore on pieces of the boat don't don't front but if this is fun you'd forget about who sitting next to you I want to thank God tonight that I made it off a broken pieces [Applause] I'm not preaching to everybody but if you ain't never had everything you needed at the time you needed it but God can't do in the nick of time shout that you made it don't walk it [Music] [Applause] Lucas your neighbor look at your neighbor look at your neighbor and say neighbor I got a problem cuz the only time I've seen somebody in the water on broken pieces what's the Titanic look at your neighbors say neighbor let me be very clear if it's one piece left and me and you together make room for me see I'm done with selfish people I need people in my life who ain't coming out come out as a matter of fact look at your neighbor and say neighbor I'm gonna praise God for your breakthrough you praise God for my breakthrough I'm a shout for your children you shop for my children I'm shopping for your promotions you shout for my promotion everything give me so I said don't be cute the water cold within your mind if I take my jacket off big with with end thank you Pastor within every miracle is a miracle you miss never forget I said that within every miracle there is a miracle you miss watch this watch this alright make that make sense TMJ wonder with the issue of blood bleeding 12 long years she crawls on the flow touches the HTM but because the HTM is connected to the h-i-m she gets free that deaf can preach that ain't even my sermon but if I had time I would tell you in certain seasons of my life well I can't get in touch with him but as long as I'm connected to something that's connected to that's why I love my church so much because there are days when you were at work and you didn't feel like you were connected to God but you'll stumble in the brook and because the book is connected to him so Pastor Mike what's the miracle she stopped bleeding yeah but being Jay what's the miracle within the miracle because if she bleeding that means she's leaking and no way in the text do I see what she cleaned up so that's that mic for some of you you're getting ready to walk into a season what the message you made I'm about pom pom pom what's the miracle can't you see Paul in the water holding on what's in the water cuz we're in the New Testament if we look at the Old Testament we realized there was a whale in the water there are things in the water that could ship him up Moses gets to the Red Sea stretches out his rod and the lure and the water takes up liquid legs they walk across on sovereign sidewalk the miracle is he made the ground hard but he also made the walls solid so what do we see pmj what was in the water that could have took him out and the text says now you see you why you should shout verse one because now he said and when he had been brought safely that one were safely is the indication that in the water was some trouble now now I know you don't want to be spooky but I'm gonna let you know how you prophesied your own breakthrough because whooping catching hell anybody who's went through something this year anybody let me show you how the depth and light line the power your tongue and you prophesied your own breakthrough you called your partner's here pray for me what's going on just pray cuz I'm going through y'all miss your shot you're slow but you're worth waiting on imma say it again you say hey girl what you're doing nothing at this job catching hail what you need me to do I'm good I just need you to pray for me why cuz I'm going through you never said you what's gonna stay you said I'm just going which means whatever you went through was temporary Russell Bob gets out the water he cold he wet and you still miss the miracle now still mr. miracle what you talking about pmj cuz romanian remember he was a prisoner so the enemy thought didn't even realize while God was breaking the boat he broke his chains cuz when he gets to shore he's walking around God sent me here to tell you you so busy crying over what you going through you don't even realize like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego the Firebird what had you ain't go burn you Russell gets other boat and the natives the text says the natives sodium natives which means foreigners they don't speak the same language don't know who they are people who ain't at the church and I came to speak to the brook because God said there's some supernatural increase coming to y'all Church huh but like a prophet God sent me here to kill something because it's gonna be some people who walk through that door went cold see we don't smelling like we skirt too short the text says no we're in the scripture do the natives action what happened pray for me if it was me first thing I would have said is where your boat second thing I would have said is we'll know y'all like that third thing I would have said was get the spheres because how we don't know they come in and take our land but the natives were so secure in their position that when they saw somebody hurry Russian Russian Russian Russian it says the natives showed him extraordinary kindness I like that particular text because it doesn't tell me who's the leader if the only way you can operate is with a title your demonic free 3mj if you need a title to harm people you're not authentic if you need a stage to preach you're not a real minister because wherever you go you can let people feel the life [Applause] the natives the natives see him and what what do I need you to do what do I need you to do listen to your boy I need you that every time you come to church and every time you go to work and every time you go to the mall I need you to be looking for what you used to look like said so award is an indication that something is about to give birth to what happens when I cry he said I'm glad you say that because sometimes God takes you through stuff debris tears because that ain't nothing but what water synonymous with the Holy Spirit when when synonymous with the rule or the breath of God you remember in the book of Genesis he's standing there and he says okay I just made the whole world and I need somebody to Rudy to have dominion he says what we gonna do he said ooh we gonna do I can't let the donkeys do it because they gonna be who they are I can't let monkeys do it because they too wild I need a leader I need a leader he says let us make man he grabs dirt but then he realized his dirt is too good he says cuz if I make you from dirt then all of a sudden you're gonna think you better than you are so in my movie he said I'm gonna make you from the dust of the earth he throws up dirt snatch his dust out of dirt that's my movie I'm preaching it can be my movie okay he throws up dirt boom grab grabs does okay grabs does it was that beautiful theologian who said he said let us make man human man humans man man is spirit dirt is human all right so dirt the word for dirt is humans the word for spirit is man he said let us make humans man that became too complicated so over the years we don't call myself hilma's man we call ourselves human which is spirit wrapped in dirt preach P&J which is why within you every now and then people keep calling you holy butt cave understand why you keep having dirty moments yato on it so he blows he says let us make man he makes man in dirt boom boom he molds him boom boom boom he says okay he about ready to breathe and he Rua when breath of God so if water is synonymous with the holy spirit air it's synonymous with the rule I've got is synonymous with praise Pastor Mike that's a reach right there that's the ISO jet achill statement how can you say fire is synonymous with praise because I'm just tripping because last time I got shank Jeremiah got tired of his church and said ain't preaching no mo ain't coming no mo I keep showing up the Bible study and y'all don't want to come how is it I got three services and they can't get in the building but then I can't even feel it for Bible study how come everybody want me to help the city but don't nobody want to give to it how come you got all the answers but don't want to get into it to help me do it why are y'all keep asking me to do stuff Jeremiah walking around weeping he crying he frustrated cuz he pregnant with vision but it keeps being aborted by lack he's maxed and all of a sudden pastor Jeremiah says you know what I'm sick of this I'm preaching to myself now I'm sick of doing the impossible for the ungrateful I'm sick of trying to vote more for people then I can work for myself I'm sick of pushing you to your destiny but when I need somebody to lean on you ain't that for me Jeremiah said I'm not gonna preach no more I'm not I'm not say his I'm not gonna say his name but it's like fire help me Mike shut up in my boat in other words what is praised play this so powerful that even when you think you don't want to it'll just come up out it praise Shadrach Meshach and Abednego I told if you're gonna worship we need you to worship this golden image they are thrown in a fiery furnace not for stealing but refusing to worship the way they were told they had to worship Nebuchadnezzar becomes confused because he says why is it I'll put them in the fiery furnace the same way I put everybody else in the fiery furnace but why did they come out and everybody else didn't come out because he didn't realize when you put fire in fire Paul not unlike me Paul gets off the boat sees them building a fire and Paul had to go to the brook coz Paul said wait a minute after the storm I just survived don't nobody gotta build a fire for me I'm crazy enough to praise God but myself and he picks up can I have some drumsticks please brother he picks up he picks up thank you so much he picks up some sticks and walks over to the fire gets to the fire oh and a snake jumps out the sticks y'all missed it I back that thing up and give it to you again a viper came out watch this because of the heat which means I'm finna precip trigger the snake was already in his life God just had to turn up the heat in your life to expose the slate and some of y'all think you catchin hail because you did something wrong God sets your Hayling about you it's about me exposing the wrong people paul am i doing i gets bit not for living wrong paul got bit for doing right I want to speak to somebody in this room because your theological construct is being ruined because people have convinced you that the only time you get tested is when you live the wrong so now if you catch hell people trying to figure out who you slept with if you catch Heil maybe you're not tithing sometimes I want to suggest to you that when hail comes into your life you're either joke or Peter make that make sense either you get recommended or something gets released you miss what I just said now Paul Paul pleased to have you consider Paul walks over to the heat want you to repent to your pastor I don't even know what's going on but I want to say that I feel God leave me to this because some of y'all be seeing snakes around him but then you judge him you say stuff like he don't see that's a snake or you see different leaders and people on the plane and all of a sudden you'd be like nah why they letting them do that they can't tell that's a snake you don't even realize I want you to catch this when you are a shepherd watch this this is where every person who's anointed have you ever stopped to consider that your oil sometimes works for everybody but you holy spirit convicted me I got mad about six months ago cuz I got bit and I said Holy Spirit this don't make no sense how did I promise I sent my best friend to watch somebody how did I let three other people I know not watch somebody but then I couldn't see him he said Michael is real simple because the apples on the tree the tree don't eat have you ever stopped to consider apples apple trees don't eat apples but they grow them cuz what does on the tree ain't for the tree it's for the people who come Bob y'all miss what I just said so sometimes Mike if I allow you to see all your stuff you'll never grow from nothing so he says watch this so pastor pastor pastor you didn't see them how you mess around and God did let me free you were quickly whenever snakes are placed in damp environments to maintain what they need to survive they stricken mayn't meaning that snakes when placed in environments that aren't conducive to who they are to save energy and heat they they stricken so Paul help me God picked up a snake that he thought was a stick and I want to tell you live long enough you gonna deal with two types of people sticks and snakes I'm preaching this huh special night who never dealt with a snake that you thought was a stake pastor what's the stick sticks for support when I told my ACL about nine years ago I went to my pastor I'm sorry till my doctor and my doctor recommended some sticks I'm sorry some crutches he says since you can't get yourself where you're trying to go I'm gonna put a stick I'm sorry crutches in your life because sticks are so selfless that they will do whatever it take to get you where you're trying to go it's some sticks in here tonight we'll be praying for folk who you know Nasty's need it some sticks in here tonight who be dreaming dreams bigger for people than they dream for they sell how do you know you a stick because you promote for them do you play for you every stick oughta jump up and shout Lord top of my life so I can be what [Applause] six sticks of sticks up for support but pastor sticks are also for defense hear me I was walking another day I probably dropped in the last six months seventy pounds right so I'm walking in the morning time and in my neighborhood there's a lot of elderly people and I noticed they was walking with these things so so so y'all already see where I'm going don't you and I'm cracking on them I'm walking with my wife life look at them fools with that stick thing from the hood we had dogs in the hood they don't know what they need no sticks and I'm just walking well the other day lady says baby it's on you today I got it go to the school I said cool I'm walking and I hear something in the bushes all of a sudden this deer comes running out the woods I'm wide open but almost three million dollars they want to tear it down they're gentrifying this neighborhood we getting crazy deals he said the Holy Spirit said whatever number you called me back with it's the number I'm in except I'm gonna tell you why you need to so tonight I want you to catch this heating that says to me God just told me don't argue with a gift I said sir so you're telling me if I call you and say $1.00 he said that's the price he says but I believe you to be a man of integrity I go home and pray I go to Cleveland Ohio Lynn so one of the largest seeds I've ever sewn on the plane back Holy Spirit says 150,000 I said god no I said this man said whatever I want i'ma give him $5,000 we don't call it a day Holy Spirit said 150,000 my staff says pastor don't don't overthink it my board says the Holy Spirit keeps telling me 150,000 tears poured down their eyes and said why y'all crying he says well we have a kindergarten through high school Christian school that's operating right now tonight we have a meeting to tell the parents it's closed I say why we are in debt with accreditation 150,000 I look at them and say this what we're gonna do I must show that into your life give me the building everything in it authority over the school all of the land next with it I said I'm the sole of hundred and fifty into you now let me show you how much faith I got you can take this and run but if you be a man of integrity everybody told me I was crazy you'll have no paperwork they don't get you I said but I know what I heard guys say they bring me a notarized letter as of right now I own the only African American owned fully accredited kindergarten through twelfth grade in the state give me one hundred seventy nine thousand square feet of building give me when I say this and people keep trying to figure out how did he do it because I knew when you give and you trust God today y'all gonna catch this it's coming back imma see who can shout and what's coming back for you declare that what's next it's bigger than what's been I declare jobs and better jobs raises and bonuses sales and Commission properties will be blessed blessed and sold it's in my life same land is being given into my life doors are opening in my favor my ministry is debt-free my pastor is stress-free the favor on the head it's flowing down into my life everything connected to me it's blessed and highly favored in Jesus name somebody shout like God's already doing it in your life come on up there shout like gods already doing it in your life
