Ipsy Glam Bag X | May 2021

hey everyone welcome to my channel so today i am going to be unboxing the ipsy glam bag x for may 2021 if you're unfamiliar with the ipsy glam bag x this is a quarterly upgrade of the ipsy subscription where you pay 50 for the goodies inside and this will replace your ipsy plus on the months that you receive it now i did pay for this box um and you do get to pick some of the products inside i think like five could be wrong maybe it's like three i can't remember i did it so so long ago that i can't remember and i think it was khloe kardashian last time it was patrick todd this time is chloe karkandashian that like helps curate the box so the last ipsy x was really really awesome and i'm excited to see if this one lives up to the expectations if you're new to my channel welcome i do lots of different subscription box unboxing videos here so if you're a sub box lover like me go ahead and subscribe and let's just get into the box so it's in a pretty purple color normally they come the fcs are like pink and when you open it up that is what it looks like so on top is the little magazine or actually realistically looks more like a newspaper so this was curated by khloe kardashian and inside it does list all the products you could have received so the one thing the way they do this is a little bit confusing because there's a bunch of products that you could receive and then there's the choice items as well but you the items on the first page not everybody gets like there's two different palettes you would have only gotten one of the two palettes so it makes it a little bit confusing when filming to know like okay like i don't know how many of these we get but let's just jump in okay the first thing that i am pulling out is the one size patrick starr visionary eyeshadow palette which retails for 42 dollars i did see this spoiler spoiler spoiled um so i'm excited to see what the palette looks like i'll go ahead and swatch a few shades if i can get it out of the box apparently i don't know how to function today okay so this is what the palette looks like it's kind of cut on a slant um it is a like rosy pink color oh okay this looks nice it does come with a full-size mirror this feels nice quality and then there are the different shadows i feel like that is a good mix of different shadows you can do lots of different things with them so let me get a couple of the mattes and a couple of the shimmers to show you guys all right picked some random colors on my hand oh okay so both that swatch really well for both the shimmers and the mattes it looks really pretty they look super pigmented so i can't wait to to play around with that there's a lot of neutral looks you can do but there are a couple pops of like blues greens some colors in there that you can kind of amplify the look with so curious to play around with it it looks like a nice palette it feels like the palette like packaging feels really really nice quality all right so on this page i'm also seeing ecosis big clean volume lash care mascara and intense black for 26. the anastasia beverly hills modern renaissance eyeshadow pop for 45 the ola henriksen banana bright face primer for 38. none of those came in my box but the next thing that i got is the tower 28 um shine on milky lip jelly for 14. i got mine in the shade coconut um so i'm excited about this and that's why it's confusing because i wish they like i don't know it's just weird the way they do that oh okay that is very very pretty when they said coconut i'm like oh it's gonna be like either a sheer type of color or well just like no color um or like a brown but this pink i why is it called coconut does it smell like coconut i'm confused but i would never have named this shade coconut all right let's smell this doesn't smell like coconut does kind of have a scent it's not bad it does smell a little bit chemically i'm not gonna lie oh but that is really pretty it's kind of like a milky gloss i it i can't tell if it's gonna be sticky or not because i don't have it on my lips and obviously i have something else on my lips that looks very different but it's vegan cruelty free and derm tested it's a gloss that's made of plant-based ingredients like apricot oil and raspberry seed oil um it says it won't feel sticky it is like more of a goop not goopy goopy sounds bad but it does have a thicker consistency compared to sunglasses but it has a nice pigment to it i think that's really pretty especially when you're doing like not with this look but like if you're doing like a less makeup look i think that this could look really pretty it's a beautiful color for spring and summer so i don't know i'm excited i may not necessarily go with this palette either but it's very pretty then there's also a ola henriksen banana eyebrite cream for 39. or a mac lipstick in baited breath for 21. neither of those i got the next thing that i could have gotten is this anastasia beverly hills brow pen for 22 dollars mine is in the shade blonde which probably will not work for me because while my hair is blonde my brows are not and i really wish that in profiles they let you pick your brow color because not everybody's brow matches their hair i'm curious i'm gonna i am gonna swatch it because i'm curious to see um i might be able to make that work i don't know maybe when i get my i don't know i'll have to try it in my brows this is kind of like a brush tip pen um to kind of draw in lines or to fill in i love brush tip pen type of brow product it's not what i normally use but i do like it it's a dark enough color that i think i might be able to pull it off right now my brows i'm doing them darker because my roots are really bad and i need to get my hair done so once i get my hair done i won't be doing my brows as dark anymore but i don't know i don't know if it'll work for me or not i do wish like i said on these like makeup profiles that you could specify what your brow color is versus your hair color because i do know that a lot of people have different color brows and hair or they're similar but they're still a little bit different and then there was also an rms beauty lip to cheek in demure for 36 which i did not get all right now we are moving into the choice products um and i didn't love the choice i don't think i can't really remember i do also think i redeemed points and i have extra products this happened to me in my last blind bag x and i was getting really confused because some of the stuff was not a part of the box i think i put it on in choice so we'll see all right so the first three things that i did not get were the route beauty the party peel which retails for 65 the capari cbd recovery bomb which retails for 45 and the mac romantic lashes for 18. so i didn't choose those i don't know like it just shows all choice products but i know when i chose there were categories to choose from and it's not giving me those i really wish it was but the first thing that i chose was this here and it is the aceology overnight lip mask which retails for 39 so this is what it looks like it's actually a pretty generous size like i don't know that's the i don't know it feels big for like a lip product or lip mask i'm curious i'm guessing it's sealed i'm hoping that it doesn't have a tint to it i am going to go ahead and open it because i'm curious yeah it is clear i think it has a light scent to it maybe a little bit fruity sweet scent to it i'm going to close it back up i am going to use it soon it says apply a generous amount to lips prior to sleeping upon awakening wipe with damp cotton pad to remove i love to use lip masks at night i always put a lip balm or a mask on before i go to bed it's super important to hydrate your lips so i cannot wait to use this that's why i chose it because i knew i'd get good use out of the product and it's pretty big all right then there is the kristoff robin cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt for 53. the olaplex number zero intensive bond building treatment for 28 the lolia breathe shea butter hand cream for 26 the complex culture rose quartz gua sha i think i said that wrong for 28. the color wow hair pop lock and frizz control glossing serum for 20 the sunday riley ceo vitamin c turmeric face oil for 40 and then i got this next product which is the morphe continuous mist setting spray for 16 i purchased this before and really love it it is taped shut um i wasn't i think i remember i don't i'm not like super excited about this but i didn't really know i don't know i like this spray it just continuously sprays it smells kind of nice it's a good setting spray i've actually purchased it from morphe before so excited to get it again it's a really light mist it's a continuous price you don't have to ch i mean you saw what i did y'all love eyes so anyway i do enjoy this and i'm excited to have gotten it then the next thing you could have chosen was already not a choice like it was already like chosen or sold out or whatever by the time i got to it was the ricky loves ricky ricky cute mirror for 60 dollars i have like the big actually i have it right here the big ricky reiki uh mirror so the small one would have been nice but i didn't get that then there was an ipsy peony pop train case for 18 which is just like boring i didn't want that if you chose it it's fine but i just didn't want it um there was the 15 moon oral care kendall jenner teeth whitening pen in vanilla mint for 20 the dosing co unflavored collagen peptides for 25 or the knc beauty kiss my lips all natural collagen infused lip mask 4 39 i didn't choose any of those and i have a ton of stuff in my bag i'm so confused right now i think they didn't list everything in the front of this oh here's the other stuff okay yeah there's stuff i missed on the first page that's my fault so you could have gotten the charlotte tilbury charlotte's magic cream for a hundred dollars which i didn't didn't get or the herbivore botanicals prism h a b x a exfoliating glow facial which i did not get that was 58 what i did get unfortunately because i'm not going to use these are the one-on-one skin rose gold radiance booster for 135 101 skin or 111 skin is very expensive but i don't like this type of product um i just don't like radiance type of products so i'll probably put this in a future giveaway i probably would have preferred the charlotte tilbury but it's fine um but this is still a really nice product to get in the box i just probably won't use it and then i also got the rhodial pink diamond cleansing balm for 59. i'm excited for this i love cleansing balms it's what i tend to use um this feels very i normally don't i've never had a cleansing balm in a tube it's normally in a pot and this does feel kind of hard i don't know i'm very excited to try this um rhodell is a good brand a rodeo and i i can't wait to try this out since i do like to use the balms now i do have other products in my box so i must have like chosen these in add-ons so it's the violet voss wind flower fun size palette the hey honey open your eyes lifting eye serum and a mini pores no more vacuum pour cleanser so these will probably be things that will go in a future giveaway i think this will go on a future giveaway too because it's not really for me um what do i think of this ipsy x i'm gonna be honest i don't i'm not blown away i thought the last one was a lot better um i'm not mad i'm probably most excited about the palette the gloss the mask the lip mask i don't know this kind of felt i feel like i don't i wouldn't have spent 50 on that if i if that makes sense like this is something i would have probably picked up on my own i wouldn't have spent i would never have spent 135 like this totally makes a box worth it technically but i would have never purchased it so i don't know what are your thoughts i mean there are so many variations so depending on what you got like you might have been blown out of the water you might love it but personally this is a little bit disappointing for me not gonna lie because you see all the spoilers but then you don't get any of them if that makes sense and like i would have rather chosen the products on like the first part of it than the actual choice products like the choice products that i could have chosen for me but like i wish i could have chosen between charlotte tilbury and 101 skin or between the one size palette or the anastasia beverly hills palette you know what i mean like i wish that's the stuff i would have preferred to actually choose so i don't know let me know your thoughts down in the comments below i'm not gonna cancel i'm gonna continue to get the ipsy ultimate because i like to show you guys the box but i'm
