FabFitFun | Sister VS Sister | Summer 2021

hey everyone welcome to my channel so today i have my sister here with me and we are doing our sister versus sister fab fit fun boxer so we did a sisterhood sister version of fab fit fun for the spring season and you guys loved it so much that we're like all right we've got to bring it back for the summer season now fabfitfun did reach out and send this to me so rachel's box is pr and then my box is the one that i pay for myself if you're unfamiliar with fab fit fun they are a quarterly lifestyle subscription that helps you each season and is always a fun treat to open and one new thing about them this season is that annual members get to customize their whole box everything which i'm so so excited about and then seasonal members who pay per quarter get one additional option to curate or customize on their own but if you like surprises then fabfitfun can customize the whole thing for you this is always fun to do with my sister because she doesn't get as many boxes as i do and so this is always it's always really fun to see what she gets excited about you get to learn about new brands try new products you have access to flash sales when you sign up through fabfitfun and they are working with more female brands because they want to empower females so a lot of the products are from female founded companies which is great the other thing that they've changed with their boxes at that is that these are from recycled craft boxes they're 100 recycled so it kind of helps reduce waste which i appreciate the box this month is so cute it's very summery it has like a pool theme i think this is the pool and then there's palm trees and little uh what are they called not fans umbrellas umbrellas you have some girls laying out just super cute summery definitely makes me want to go to the pool so i love the outside the box is really cute so when you open up the box that is what it looks like the back says fabfitfun it has little ice cream cones and popsicles sunglasses beach balls it's really cute so fab for fun it did give me a coupon code where you can get ten dollars off of your first box if you sign up through the link and code below so i will include that in my description box i'm super excited to jump in here in a second um they've also created the fabfitfun standard so there are certain ingredients that they will no longer include in their skincare makeup products things like what does it say here coal tar oxybenzone benzene there's a whole list of them you can find out more on their website but i do like that they're taking that initiative so then each quarter it also does come with a magazine this is going to go through all of the products that you could have received there is a editor's note it talks about all the products and options and then there's articles about certain products inside and how to use them and it has some really really good information inside so i do always love reading through these magazines then it also comes with some super cute stickers they're just like beach summer themed super cute to decorate things with i think that's a nice little touch we also both got a freebie this month it's just these little like hydration electrolyte drink mix packets with lemon lime strawberry and watermelon perfect for summer but if you're like out on the beach on a hot day or the pool i just think it's nice for them to add a little freebie yeah there's three packets so probably one of each flavor so it's a nice little sample to get i actually am excited to try these so for customizations one through four all members got to pick the items so i picked this and this is the society6 picnic blanket so it's an outdoor blanket that you kind of roll up it has a velcro it feels really nice it's kind of quilted um so you just roll it out i don't want to completely roll it out right now but it's a nice blanket it is like um not fabric but it's a wipeable material on one side so that side can go on the grass that way the fabric doesn't get gross and then the top you have you know the actual plush fabric it feels really really nice so i like that it has a handle it's easy to transport it's probably the rolling of it might i don't know if i'll ever be able to roll it back up again i'm gonna be totally honest but it feels really nice and i like that it has that one wipe down side i feel like i don't know i get really picky about things touching the ground i'm very particular about that so i do think that this is a really really nice um outdoor blanket and i'm excited to use it all right so the item that i chose is this somersault bag it's like a beach bag it's a neoprene bag yeah so it's really good for i guess i don't know getting wet or on the sand yeah this is the material that i think wetsuits are made out of okay yeah it's really nice it has a little like button clasp right here and then a little pouch inside if you need to put anything that i think this is a perfect beach bag because you don't have to worry about if it's going to get wet or anything like that and it's a nice size it's a big size yeah it came in the pink red or there was also a blue green color for that um so those are the items that we chose for the first customization option but you could have also gotten the summer fridays cc me serum the pmd clean and teal the virginia wolf multi-wear wrap the society6 wine chiller or the l-space tie-dye towel i'm happy with what i chose or i think you probably are too one thing that i didn't mention is like some of the products in this box retail for more than what the box costs which is always really really awesome and i like now that the weather is warm i like want to go out and like just be outside because i feel like i haven't been able to do that so this will make it a lot easier all right so for customization 2 i chose the draper and james ruffle 90 which is so cute it's like a little nightgown it has ruffles at the bottom it feels very soft so soft it kind of has like a jersey material knitted in it it's not it's a i think cotton but yeah i don't know it's really real it feels like butter yeah now i will be honest i'm not so much of a nightgown person but i was really tempted by this because we don't get a ton of like this feels like a real clothing item and we don't always get a lot of real clothing item options i think there was choices between a small medium and yeah this is a small medium and then i think they had a large extra large there's two like ranges so this is the small slash medium but it's so so soft and i can't wait to curl up in it i just i like to wear pants so i might wear this with pants under it which i know is gonna look atrocious but you know what that's okay i think it's really really cute um and it's great for the summer and to be honest i feel like you could almost wear it out yeah i was gonna say i could see someone just wearing this like out to a cute little restaurant or something yeah i don't know you probably belt it too or something i don't know i think it's really cute and so soft and cozy and for me like sleepwear has to be cozy and this just feels phenomenal all right so the item that i chose is business and pleasure co it's a cooler bag so if you go on a picnic or something you can put it's like a little lunchbox or something let's open it so i actually already own this i got this in a previous fabfitfun maybe last summer sometimes they have retro products inside i feel like are ones that have been in past boxes so if you like missed a box you can still get it but i love this yeah it has this material i don't know what this is called but like lunch box material so you can put stuff in and keep it cold for in the summer like if you're gonna use the if you got the picnic block basket and got this blanket you mean yeah yeah pick big blanket and this it'd go perfect together exactly and i know like i've taken this to the river before to the beach and you just like put your stuff inside and it's really really nice and easy to clean up after and i actually like yellow so i think it's really cute with the color too all right so if you didn't choose though to those two items you could have also chosen the whey detox shampoo and scalp massager the milli jewelry case the ob resistance hit bands and you got a membership with that that's for the us and canada if you're in the uk you could have gotten the resistance bands and the point ball but i guess no membership then you could have gotten the ray done by magenta guac and salsa balls the sonix bluetooth speaker or the tarte drink of h2o hydrating boost moisturizer i also forgot to mention if you're in the uk or canada you can also get this box for customization three i chose the super goop unseen sunscreen spf 40. you could have only received this if you were in the us i just figured with my pale body sunscreen is always a good option and like these type of this is like not a cheap sunscreen so it's an spf 40. i thought it was good i think this is for your whole body and not just your face oh no this is specifically for face perfect that's actually better for me if it's specifically for face because face sunscreens can be really expensive and so i'm excited to get this in the box um and this will be perfect so that i don't burn my skin all right so the item that i chose is the nectar blue light blocking glasses in their round eye brown turquoise tortoise round eye brown tortoise yeah so for work i'm constantly staring at three screens and then when i come home from work i'm looking at my tv or my laptop or all day all throughout the phone i'm looking all throughout the day i'm looking at my phone i cannot speak right now but i'm looking at a lot of screens is my point so i thought these would be perfect because i feel like the looking at screens all day does mess with my eyes and so let's see what they look like how do they look on me that's not me you look like a dad i look like urkel rage no you look like dad you look really cute wait look you're cute you look i can't really tell because the ring lights are like glaring glaring through it but it does make it it does like kind of yeah they're cute on you uh should i wear them at work and you can yeah i think i own those i know i have light blocking glasses and i feel like i don't know if i chose those in a box before or if i get them in add-ons but i do feel like i've gotten those glasses and i do like them yeah and they're nice because they kind of like i know you can't pull them a lot but stretch so if you have a bigger head like me they still fit you so if you didn't choose either of those two items the other choices were the corsical 12-ounce wine tumbler with a silicone straw the living proof perfect hair day dry shampoo that was only for us in canada the ag recoil curl activator the poolside water resistant pouch the bobble bar build your own bracelet kit that's a lot of bees or the melon and guts vitamin e face moisturizer all right so customization 4 had less items to choose from i chose the tf publishing brain teasers and activity books so it has games puzzles and more i knew it showed two pictures of them but i thought it was just like one or the other i didn't realize you got two of them um so yeah it just has like i don't cross words sudoku like all sorts of fun puzzles and things inside i'm excited this actually looks really really fun and i think it's different inside oh does that one have all the answers or no oh there's coloring too there's coloring yeah like crosswords this one yeah this is cool i'm excited that's perfect for like if you're flying somewhere because i always bring sudoku books when i'm traveling because yeah i don't know they're fun to do yay i love that there's two i wasn't expecting two so that's exciting the item that i chose for this box is the ciate london watermelon burst setting sprite that just sounds so refreshing i love watermelon stuff and let's smell it out oh you can't i thought you were going to spray me in the eyes remember what i taught you last time about not spraying it directly onto your face so how do i spray it just spray it here first and then then spray it on your face [Applause] okay now you can spray it on your face no i don't want to spread it that's so it smells good it's so refreshing i feel like this i don't know if this is what it's meant for but if i'm at the pool and super hot i would just pull it out of my bag and like spray my face a little bit and then it's kind of like a little perfume too because it makes you smell like a watermelon yeah it smells like ciate's under other excuse me under other watermelon products in case you're curious now if you didn't choose either of those two items from customization number four you could have chosen the sensuals vitamin c facial serum or the african botanics shimmering gold oil all right so there are now two more products in the box customization five and six you're only able to customize these if you are an annual subscriber if not fabfitfun would choose for you based on your profile so what i chose from the customization number five is the mine tan body skin recovery after sun gel this has aloe vera aloe vera um and niacinamide so it's good for if you burn your skin like i said i'm really pale and sometimes you end up in a situation where you don't realize you're going to be directly in the sun and you get burned so last year we went on a trip to norfolk and we ate at a restaurant and she decided that after we had already eaten the whole dinner she wanted to order hush puppies and my smile i was burning from the sun and she's like i bought hush puppets and so i just had to sit there and burn out in the sun like we had an umbrella but it was like not covering uh it was bad and so and then i had was trying to find um we were trying to find something for my skin after we like there wasn't a lot of places to go because yeah anyway now i have this in case i get burned i have a rapid recovery in case she decides that she needs her house puppies it was worth it though they were delicious was it worth it because you're not the one who had the sunburn and only on one arm so like half of me was burned the other half wasn't so it wasn't a cute look but now i have this in case she wants her knees hey i got her a key lime pie so true make up for it so the thing that i chose for this um round was the dr brandt pores no more purifying cleanser looks like this i've actually used this before i got i forgot what box but i've gotten it in a box before and i loved it so i was like hey why not choose it because i know i'm gonna use it so i'm excited about this if you didn't choose though those two items um if you're annual you could choose these like i said if not then you would get it chosen for you you could have received the mented cosmetics liquid lipstick you would either have gotten it in blood orange peachy keen or blacker the berry that was for use in canada only i have the peachy keen and i love it i love that so much um then you could have gotten the sore selfie ring light the flight mode high altitude hydration mask the to the market melamine printed tray or the aparri cutting board set of four now customization six was a little bit different because there were different bundles of products you could choose from so like there's three products for me and you think you've got three products as well um so there were like five options for bundles then there was two options for like two things together and then there were some standalone products you could have gotten as well so i chose a three-piece bundle and i guess you did too and ours are totally different so um in my three-piece bundle i got the aria beauty reusable makeup swabs so this is like a silicone swab instead of the cotton ones that you can then rinse so you don't create as much waste so it comes in like a little box and the box kind of just slides open and then inside you have the silicone what do they feel like like silicone they're kind of like a hard silicone so you can like dig them in your ear which or use them for makeup well you're probably not supposed to dig them in your ear let's be real um but you know for makeup and then you can rinse them and so you create less waste so i thought that was good this is like on a spring so that's different but it's really cool then also part of my bundle was this here and this is the barefoot scientist pedicure file um oh my god that feel that it feels weird it's supposed to like exfoliate your foot i like that it's an angle i love to take baths and i really do take care of my foot skin like i like to slow away the dead skin and like slough away slow away anyway i like to take care of my feet and so i thought this would be good i use a pumice stone a lot of times but this like seems more like practical i don't know so i'm excited to give this a try the handle feels nice and it feels like ergonomic like it's on a curve so you can like like under your foot like hell i i don't know but i'm very excited about this and then the last product in the bundle is the ico london double act shadow stick and i believe it comes with a sharpener as well there's a sharpener there i am not a huge shadow stick person so i'll probably put this in a future giveaway but honestly i really just wanted these two things if i'm totally honest but this is really nice too and it can create a very nice natural um makeup look it has the shade cookies and the shade cream so like a brown and a like shimmery pearl color all right so for my little bundle the first thing that i got is this super cute ice cube maker it's just like a pineapple shape and then the ice cubes are also going to be pineapple shaped like that so just fill it with water or honestly you can fill it with anything and freeze it and pop them out i i never make ice cubes like this but i'm actually excited to make little pineapple ice cubes one i feel like you could put like fruit juice in them too and like flavored water they look fun like i think they like here they've like crushed up strawberries that they put inside the tray so you can do lots of fun things and like they're kind of thick so you can like actually put stuff in them other than water yeah they are bigger you know they're gonna be bigger ice cubes than like other ones yeah i don't know but this is cute it's not something that i would ever like purchase but i'm going to use it now that i have it so i'm excited about it and the next item in my little bundle was this citrus crush citrus crusher that's kind of hard to say say it five times no citrus crusher it's also called a citrus squeezer not a citrus crusher i was like why would you crush a citrus i don't know but it's i don't know i can't explain what goes on in my brain that's actually i don't this is nice it's heavy duty like it's good quality it is a plastic not a metal but like it's like thick and chunky and like that's big i don't know for some reason i was expecting it to be smaller but i'm i think that's awesome yeah and you can use it for like limes lemons oranges grapefruit i know the grapefruit will fit but yeah yeah true but it's it can crush any so are you guys going to crush citrus this summer because apparently that's what's in trend now i just want to hear you say it five times okay fast try citrus crusher citrus pressure citrus crusher citrus crusher citrus crusher anyways for my next look we have my beloved and i've used this several times the fruit butter lip mask by serafine botanicals yes we love this yeah i have two of them at home and i use it almost every day it smells so good it's fruit better okay i have the fruit butter and i have i think another flavor too i think we got like an apple one maybe yeah it's just it's so moisturizing the smell is great i have nothing bad to say about it well i'm not gonna feel failed i'm not going to peel it off because i already have a couple open but yeah i love this item so i i don't know i thought my bundle was so exciting it's fun stuff stuff that i would never think about yeah i would never think about like needing it i would have never been like oh i need a pineapple ice cube tray but i'm so excited about it yeah so we pretty much covered everything that you could have gotten in the bundles except for there was a bundle where you could have gotten a sponge l infused body wash buffer there were different combinations um that you could have received of those different products but if you didn't get like the three piece bundles the other options were a combo of the kate spade new york workout socks and butane eye gels and then there was another duo of the skin encoroma truffle therapy whipped cleansing cream and the erno lazlo pore cleansing clay mask and then like i said there were also individual products so there was the verso botanical super eye serum the ola henriksen fat glow facial mask which is only for us and uk the lashes md eyelash conditioner or the murad rapid collagen infusion so that was everything that we got in our summer boxes i'm actually pretty happy with my summer boxes my box personally i'll be honest out of the seasonal boxes summer tends to be my least favorite season and that has nothing to do with having fun i'm just talking about seasonal boxes in general because i'm a fall gal so fall is always my favorite but i genuinely feel like i'm super excited the products that i got and i feel like most like all of them i'm gonna get used to that like i got a nightgown a like picnic blanket a sunscreen suntan sun recovery foot scrubber ear thing i don't know i just like i'm excited because it's like i'm gonna use this stuff and i'm treating myself i like the vast array of it like it's not like you're just gonna get beauty products you're gonna get possibly clothes i got glasses like cooking stuff for the kitchen like you get different stuff which i think is super cool i'm also really happy that as in because i personally the one that i pay for is an annual subscription that you get to make choices of everything in the box because i feel like it makes it so much more worth it to to get the annual that way that way you make sure you're really getting your money's worth of like things that you actually want um so if you're able to like front all that money up front i do think it's worth it um because yeah you get to customize everything and like that's the one thing about the spring box is i didn't like what was like chosen for me out of the other things and now it's resolved with the summer box because like you get to pick everything so i'm really excited about it so
