[Music] hello everyone coach Chris here with another training that will bring your game to the next level and today we're going to be using some rebounder and we're going to be working our first touch and it's very important because that is the initial touch you get when you receive the ball from a throw in ball bouncing or a pass and it's very important for several reasons a good first touch allows a player to bring the ball under control quickly and efficiently this is essential when maintaining possession and initiating [Music] attacks a player with a good first touch can move the ball into space rapidly enabling quick transitions from defense to attack or maintaining the tempo of an attack a clean first touch gives a player more time and options to make decisions with control established the player can access the situation and choose the best action whether it's passing dribbling or shooting a strong first touch boosts the players confidence and composure on the ball we're going to be using using the rebounder a cone and a soccer ball but if you don't have a cone and a rebounder you can replace it with a wall or a friend and that will work perfect guys ready let's get it started first we're going to start with one touch pass with the left foot lots of repetitions and make sure you have a good touch every time [Music] do it for 30 seconds to a minute [Music] nonstop if the ball pop up try to fix it on the goal if you need to stop the ball to reset that's fine [Music] then we are moving to right foot only same thing different foot [Music] find a written have fun and work [Music] hard now we will combine what we have been working One Touch pass alternating left and right make sure you adjust your body before every touch stay light on your toes now we are going to use the cone and the cones are going to represent Defender so we're going to be working on our first touch away from the defender so all you're going to do just place the cone in the middle of the rebounder or towards your friend if you find yourself every single time hitting the cone on the passes or when the ball comes back to you always hitting the cone just place it a little closer cuz that's going to it up a little more for you but if you want a little more challenge just put it back on a little bit and then you will be able to maneuver the ball left and right just like if you are on the game guys ready Let's Go pass with the left bring the ball across with the left pass with the right bring the ball across with the right and keep repeating the same movement [Music] as you touch the ball make sure you're moving side to side [Music] Now we move on to the outside touch pass same movement but use the outside of your foot to push the ball [Music] across always aim for clean small touches around the defender and finish with a good pass if you make a mistake just go get the ball and restart [Music] [Music] [Music] to finish it up we are doing a pass and roll across make sure to use the sole of your foot to roll the ball across and as the ball moves you move oh [Music] every touch counts keep the focus and work hard if you find it hard to make one motion move stop the ball with the sew of your foot then roll it across once you got the movement down challenge yourself and go for one motion move in summary the first touch is crucial in soccer because it sets the tone for the next action influencing decision making and plays a significant role in maintaining possession and creating scoring opportunities I hope you guys enjoy the video and tune in for more soccer tutorials that will help you bring your game to the next level don't forget give a thumbs up subscribe share with your friends and I'll see you on the next video thanks so much for watching I will include a link in the description to the same rebounder I use today along with some other options and remember any rebounder you choose will work for the exercise we did today [Music]
