Installing culvert pipes

to have this pond here that I've been digging that it's always got water in it but the water is running out it just rained and the waters running out in a few different spots so right there most of its running out and then some of its running out right here too and the issue is the water that runs out of here it just kind of runs right down the road and that's bad because that creates potholes and washes away the gravel and makes ice so I just picked up a hundred feet of 8-inch culvert and the plan is to dig a trench from there straight about under where the machine is and put pipe in and bury it and then that way we'll walk through here all the water that runs out of that pond and that pond pretty much always has water will run down to here and then I'll install another culvert pipe under this road to keep this pond full because a lot of the time this pond won't have water in it so if it could pick up all the water I can get that would help it and sometimes that will even be empty and they'll still be this puddle here so I'll do a culvert pipe probably start and you know right about there and then send it straight to that pond all right so let's get started here [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] my my GoPro just went swimming but good thing GoPros are waterproof but I had to blow off the side to charge it but it still says report that's working pretty good huh [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] [Music] all right there there's primary Electric Service Barry [Music] I am pretty sure I made it like 4 P P so if I just make this [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] you [Music] all right so it's the next day here now and everything's working pretty good so the pond is only flowing out in one spot and it's not it's not overflowing anywhere so it's going in that pipe and coming out right there nice and clean and there is no water just running down the surface of the road and now that water runs down to here and I dug this shallow little trench here to dry this area up because there would always be a puddle here after it rained and it just looked bad because there'd be a pond you know right next to it right there that wouldn't have water in it so now that this pipe is here you know the water runs in right there and it's flowing out right in into the pond so this should maintain the water level higher in this now too first of the round I did this trench here I just finished putting gravel on this no that's that's just pretty much picking up some groundwater there but the trench goes up further for overflow out of the pond when it's really raining and the water well now this is nice because it's not running down the surface of the road like it always did because that would that would always make potholes and in the winter time would be a sheet of ice all right so that flows into the pipe right there and then it comes out right here and you can see that's running nice and clean
