Triple points for the video of his white dog having fun in the mud at around 15:30-16:00.

A good operator is worth their weight in gold on an archaeological site too btw. This guy is nice and clean with his strokes. I'd call him up.

Watched this with my 3yr old son. He didn't move for the first 15 mins which is a miracle in itself.
Great video.

Can confirm, I do coastal drainage contracts at work sometimes, and when you get a good excavator operator its like watching an artist at work.

Actually just thought... what a time to be alive. Such a random job, but was really interesting to watch. Then the fact he has all the tech to record it and even toss in the drone footage at the end. very cool.

To be good on you tube you need two things:

1.) Be good at something.

2.) Be good at filming, editing and presentation.

It's actually not that common to have both. That is why there are so many videos about making videos.

That was interesting and satisfying.

alright Levi and I are out here today looking at this job the customer called and said there's a problem of a culvert pipe that's flood in the driveway so you can see the section the driveways flooded right here and I guess season I'm sure he's talking about this pipe here so you can see it starts right there and ends right there and even that's even kind of like a flat tire hazard so I could see why he'd want that fixed alright so that would be no big deal to replace that but I'm just not sure where we should send it where doesn't even come out because it's like you'd have to go 75 feet with the thing to come out anywhere I mean I can't just come out here I almost need to culvert pipes or one long one you know if all this water if there wasn't even a pipe there and instead of having that pipe I can keep the water in the woods where there's already a trench and water in the woods I could make it down here to this pipe which is already working and that comes out right here the water coming out of that first pipe is making it down here anyway so and then I wouldn't even need to buy the guy a pipe all right let me call him up see what he wants to do and then let's bring the machine back in here and do it all right so I'm back out here a few days later and it just rained last night so it kind of shows the problem a lot easier so you can see you know this whole driveway here you know they don't want that and this broken culvert pipe here the water is just pouring right out of it so the plan the homeowner and I came up with I'm going to completely remove this pipe because I don't see where it was ever even going to make it out you would need 80 feet of pipe plus there's primary electric right there that'd be digging across I don't really want to do that so the plan is to there's already a trench here going this way along the side of the driveway and it's catching half of the water my plan is to completely block this pipe off and then make this trench right here catch all the water and once that happens there shouldn't be any water on this driveway and there is a culvert pipe installed right here my goal is to get all the water to go into this culvert pipe because once it makes it into that culvert pipe it comes out over here and it's all fine that way the problem is now and the way this job even got started the water that's coming out of that pipe in the middle of the driveway is running down the surface of the driveway and then going down the side of the road and then what happened is that neighbor down there complained about it so that's how this whole job even got got started so I'm gonna fix it so there is no water coming out of this driveway right here and there's also a little bit of water that comes down the side of the road here I think it's not much it's probably only 10% of the water but I'm gonna try to send that water into that culvert pipe as well all right let's get started here [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you alright here we are back the second day so let's take a look at it so I just brought in one load of gravel he could certainly use more but he didn't want to pay for it plus it's not the right time of year to bring to do gravel because it doesn't get a chance to get packed down and it can get plowed so probably I'll just wait five months till spring this guy needs a lot of gravel anyway alright so here's the drainage so everything is going into this pipe right here and once it makes it through that pipe it's it's fine it doesn't do anything undesirable the problem was out here on the road that there was water running out of this driveway and running down the street so you can see now there's no actual water leaving this road and this trench I dug right here is even picking up the stuff that came down the side of the road and sending it down to that culvert pipe as well all right here's where that culvert pipe was so you can see that area is completely dry and all the water is making it into this trench yeah he could definitely use some more gravel right here probably in the springtime I'll bring in some more gravel all right well this job turned out good you know the major drainage issue is fixed so on to the next job [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
