hi everyone and welcome to my big tutorial about the insta 360 Ace Pro here it is a brand new camera by the same company in this tutorial I try to make it as quick and precise as possible I will explain you this camera how it works how you can connect it to your phone how to take a picture how to change the resolution the frame rate how to transfer the files from that camera to your phone and share it with friends and if you think this video was help for you you will find this camera in the video description below if you want to actively support my channel make sure to get it from there you will find also this nice new tripod here so as the GPS remote and many more things thank you and let's get started as you can see we have two buttons this one here is the trigger button on the other side we have the power button I removed this fap here for this video uh you have the USB type-c port and next to to it is the SD slot the micro SD slot as seen here on this video I will show you which card I'm going to use however I can recommend to use at least a V60 card for all the functions that this camera offers I will return this card and get a V60 card because I figured out that I need a faster right and reading speed on this camera here the main features of this camera are a 2.4 in flip display which I will show you in a second we have 8K 24 frames per second recording 4K with up to 120 frames per second and as you can see we have a ler lens I remove this flip here in case I run out of battery so I can instantly charge this camera using my power bank here at the same time on this side we have the battery compartment so I can open up this flap here I can remove the battery from its compartment I can put it back in place and as seen here I removed this flap here for demonstration purposes in case I run out of battery during this tutorial I can charge the camera at the same time while I'm recording so here's the flip display so anytime you want to turn the display you need to push these two buttons here on each side to unlock it from its per current position the micro SD card goes in like this so the pins facing in the USB type c port and if you want to get out this card you need to push on it once it's super easy to turn on the camera so if you do it for the first time here's the power button on this side push that for two seconds you will see an LED popping up here and now we are in the pre menu I will select English as my my current language and here I have some tips so switching the modes go from left to right as seen here so I can switch between the photo or the video mode slide from the left Edge to access the shooting parameters like seen here and the first thing I'm going to do after this short demonstration here I will turn down the display brightness let's start with the main camera menu very quick here so if I swipe from the top to the bottom botom I have some short icons here which I'm going to explain you very quick that is quick capture a super easy tool so usually you turn on and off the camera using this power button here at the side let's assume you're in the city there's a lot of things happening at the moment you don't want to waste the battery of your camera but at the same time you want to instantly record a video if you see something that is important to you if we enable quick capture I can use the trigger button here on Top push that for 2 seconds and the camera starts to record a video instantly if I push the trigger button once again the camera shuts down automatically and I can hinder the camera from doing so by following the steps here on the screen if I turn on the camera in a normal way it won't switch off immediately so this is a feature I can definitely recommend to use let me just go down with the display brightness even further here's a rotation lock so if you don't want the camera to switch between vertical and horizontal content make sure you use that or uh rotation lock this here is gesture control is super easy and it's shown already what you need to do if you want to capture for instance a video what you need to do how you you should hold your hands to enable this gesture photo gesture so if you do your two fingers on top the camera automatically recognizes that and it automatically takes a photo however I'm not going to use the gesture control for the time being here's voice control uh 2.0 by the way take a photo let me go out of this mode very quick take a photo start recording stop recording take a photo it works super nicely nice feature anytime your hands are wet that's the point where you definitely should think about voice control I can disable it and the commands by the way are here at the bottom pre-recording is a feature where the camera automatically pre-record the last 15 seconds uh I can start already now recording so it's recording the video for now and after these 15 seconds it automatically always refreshes that so it always continues to record the last 15 seconds until I push the trigger button because from here it starts at 15 seconds I can stop that I don't really need that feature we have an i AI assistant which is turned on at the moment it automatically detects things in your video that might be important and it highlights them later on on the app that is for free which you can use for Android and iOS here as I said I can turn up and down the display brightness by the way I was shooting yesterday I did already the German tutorial for this camera and I still have my battery left so it's a pretty good performance I can lock the screen if I wish to here's an Under menu so anytime I don't want to hear that beep tones I can turn them down up or mute them here's a grit which is turned on so anytime I want to orientate the camera to the Horizon I can do it by um using a gri here are the audio settings so I can record in Stereo I can use wind reduction or directional Focus Time Capture one of the coolest feature that this camera offers because it allows you to take for instance a picture or a video at 3:00 in the morning without waking up so if you're camping and you want to capture the nice sky during the night the camera will turn on automatically at 3:00 and 5 minutes in the morning I can tell the camera to take a time lapse uh during this time I can select the length the interval ratio if I want to turn on and off stabilization I can also take a video if I wish to I can also let the camera take a photo whatever you want the camera will do it at this time here that you have pre-selected and if you're not at home and you think well tonight there should be a nice um I don't know uh sunset or something I can let this camera capture the sunset or the sunrise by the pre- selected time here and here is the Bluetooth remote insta 360 brought out a brand new remote which looks kind of like an Apple Watch so you can control the camera and you see already the footage on that remote airpods cool feature I can connect the apple airpods and I use can use the internal microphone of my Apple airpods to record my video there's also a wireless microphone available without connecting any transceiver to this camera which works super nicely internal microphone of the insta 3608 Pro there's a bit of background noise since there's a street over there there a bit of wind blowing in and I can see myself the trkking is perfect here in 4k 50 on this camera I went into the camera's menu and I tried to pair this wireless microphone here to the insta 360 a pro and now we're trying out if we really get an improvement using external microphone like this one here now I connected my Apple airpods to the insta 368 Pro and let's see if that improves your audio quality if you want to Vlog yourself using this nice camera with the Tilt display here are the camera infos once you get the camera you're probably at version 1.1 already general settings you have the indication light here and another indication light at the front display if the camera is set up behind a wind screen for instance or a window if you want to capture a nice time-lapse during the night for instance and you don't want to have the reflections you can turn off the LED light you can also turn on and off the vibration Bluetooth wake up is a really nice feature because you can use the app external microphone gain anytime you have connected an external microphone and you think it's not loud enough you can adjust it or even if you think it's too loud you can also adjust it the other way around uh outo power off mode is pre-selected to 3 minutes I will do the same to my display so I don't want to have the display off after like 10 or 20 seconds the camera should turn off or the display should turn off after 3 minutes for instance front screen display I can enable or disable it also important anytime you do something behind a window for instance and you don't want to get any Reflections on that touch to activate when off so anytime the display turns off I can use this toggle switch here to touch on that screen and wake it up again Wi-Fi settings power of charging so any time I connect now a power bank to this camera for instance and I charge it then I can select what the camera should do should it only charge the camera charge and Power on or charge and record straight away image settings here I can change the video Codec video sharpness anti flicker if you live in the United States you probably switch to 60 HZ if you live in Europe you probably would switch to 50 HZ or you can also leave it it in Auto which enables you to see all the different frame rates bit rate can be selected down here which is at the moment set to high I can change my language here the date and time I can format my SD card it's now 256 GB of which I can use 232 and of which I have used already 43 reset tutorial so all the tips that you have seen before can be reseted so you see them once again camera reset anytime you want to sell this camera and you want your customer to give it a real and fresh new camera you can reset all the settings and here is the camera's menu video mode with the remaining capacity using this resolution and this frames per second I can record for another 3 hours and 26 minutes I have enabled the AI assistant here's my remaining battery it's my resolution frame rate Zoom I can zoom in and out by double tapping as well which does not by the way reduce the quality of the video that is kind of strange how they do it I have no idea but the quality stays the same also while zoomed in here I can select a different field of view if I would go snowboarding or skiing and I want to have all the mountains on my camera I would go for Action usually I'm an ultra mode and if you want to have all the edes straight you should go for D if you want to have a Ryon lock you can see already the camera crops in a lot but it doesn't matter in which direction you move the camera now the Horizon stays steady here are the video settings so if I use my finger I can switch between different presets for instance I can use a vivid preset a flat profile for color grading and I have all the nice presets which insta 360 offers through the app here at the site which are amazing because I don't need to do any color grading and post I can use these preset here straight onto my video I can use I can enable also the face tracking I can also change the white balance so if I go from manual the maximum I can go is 10K and the lowest one is 2K which makes my image really cool exposure compensation so anytime you think that the video is kind of too dark or too bright you can adjust it on this button here or go in full manual mode by selecting the M up here by the way this menu is also available in all the other modes if I swipe now from the Bott bottom to the top I can enable the stabilization you can set it to high usually it's standard I have it in standard as well and it does a fantastic job you can switch off stabilization as well if you don't need your video to be stabilized the maximum resolution in 4k here at the moment is 4K 120 if I go to 108p the maximum frame rate is 240 which is great for capturing nice slow motion scenes so anytime you go skiing or you you do skateboarding or something and you have enough ambient light available you can use a higher frame rate which enables you to take a great slow motion clip in post you can also enable the duration of the clip so maximum recording or maximum duration for that would be for instance 3 hours I can switch that off or I can switch that to Infinity I can change the ratio of my video 4:3 or 16 by 9 if I would live in the United States I would probably go for 4K 60 since I live in Europe I go for 4K 50 if you do just an interview or something um 4K 30 is sufficient and then you can see it's switching also to HDR if you have now a lot of Shadows and lights at the same time in your video the camera automatically detects that and change it to HD Armor high dynamic range which gives you like kind of an eal contrast but this is only possible if you have a resolution set to 4K 30 or lower anytime you do something with a lot of motion and you want a more looking or you want a more fluent looking video take a higher resolution for 4K 50 for me is fine anytime I go for higher resolution um the remaining capacity on my SD card will drop as well because I'm using more data if I want to record a video now I can push that trigger button here and the first time you see some tips so if I push this button right now I can start to record a video and you will see now a feature that I have never seen before on any other action cam which I really appreciate because I have now a pul function many people were asking for that and I have no idea why all the other manufacturers don't enable that but this is kind of a feature where a lot of people think why isn't that possible and now it is possible so I can pause that video I can change now the location and I can continue the video by pushing the trigger button I can pause my video as well change the location or do something else and the the camera will internally put all these clips together without doing any post editing in any video program out there if I push this button right here it stops immediately and if I go into my playback mode unbelievable I can still go on this clip and continue this clip at a different location or a clip that I've taken yesterday I don't need to put them now together on my computer this can be done all internally using just this camera so if I want to continue with this clip somewhere else I can push this button and it works straight away Isn't that cool let's switch the mode so anytime I do this in the center of the screen I can switch between my different modes there's a different way by doing that I can use also the power button if you tap on that very shortly I can go for instance into the photo mode or I can change the mode by tapping on the icon on the lower left side so we are now in photo mode very quick I can change between 20 48 and 12 megapixels if I take my photo in a ratio by 4 to3 if I change to 16 by 9 the maximum resolution is 36 megapixels or 9 megapixels I can use a timer I can use for instance only a JPEG file pureh or pure shot plus raw so anytime you do something with post editing I would definitely take I would definitely take a raw photo and I would leave it by 4 to three because that is the normal image profile or ratio the more ambient light you have available the more easy it is for the camera to capture all the details so I would go definitely for 48 megapixels during daylight and anytime you don't have enough ambient light available I would go for a lower resolution if I want to take a picture now just push the trigger button and the faster you memory card is the the faster this process here will happen you can switch between two different field of views Ultra and DP where the edges are tightened or getting straight I can go also in full manual mode to adjust the iso the shutter speed and my white balance and if I want to switch the mode I can tap on the icon here's now the HDR photo HDR stands for high dynamic range and as I has and as I have said and as I have said already during the video mode High dynamic range means if you have a lot of Shadows and a lot of lights at the same time the camera takes three photos it merges them together so you have kind of an equal contrast the maximum resolution here is 12 megapixels you can change the ratio and you can select a timer interval photo pretty nice so I can go for either 48 or leave it in 12 megapixels I can change the interval for instance 5 seconds I can select a different ratio I can select a duration for instance 3 minutes I can select a timer and now the camera takes hold on a second now this here was the timer for 3 seconds now the camera takes every 5 Seconds a new photo and does that for for 3 minutes I think I can stop that by pushing the trigger button and as I said yeah for 3 minutes anytime you need interval photos that's that's one way to do it Burst Mode important feature anytime you do something with action place the camera somewhere on the tripod select a timer for instance of 10 seconds and here's the burst that means 30 pictures in 1 second 10 pictures in 3 seconds 30 pictures in 3 seconds 30 pictures in 6 seconds 30 pictures in 10 seconds so 12 megapixels 30 photos in 10 seconds off we go here's the timer of 10 seconds that I have now pre-selected you can go with your skateboard now in front of the camera and do whatever you want to do and now the camera is capturing all the 30 photos boom that's it and now again the faster your memory card is the faster this process here will be starlabs one of uh the features I like a lot so you can do all the manual adjustments to your um exposure and here is what you get you get either a starlabs video star Trails video or Star Trails photo as exported file so I would definitely go for Star Trails video or Star Labs video depends on what you want to do here's the resolution 12 megapixels and what the camera does is if you place it somewhere on a tripod at a location where you don't have too much ambient light let's say in the Grand Canyon or rocky mountains or you place it in the Alps on your tripod and you want to capture the night Sky that's a nice way to do it and as you can see you have all the manual adjustments available the maximum shutter here 30 seconds or even longer up to 2 minutes the maximum ISO can be selected here to 6,400 and you can capture a really nice night sky with all these settings here slow motion the requirement for a slow motion video is that you have a a lot ambient light available if if you want to capture for instance a slow motion clip with without any light available you get a lot of grain in your image because the camera needs a shorter shutter speed to expose the video that means the maximum resolution here is 4K 120 that's what I go usually for uh if I need more frames per second that is possible as well in 1080P with up to 240 frames per second I can can select also a duration and as I said you get stunning shots especially if when you do something with a lot of sport activities Loop recording allows you to take an infinite video that means let's say you want to do a sport exercise and you don't know when you will be able to really do it correctly and you don't want to have a video with like a 30 minute or 50 minute length on the camera you can tell tell the camera when to stop for instance uh if I record in 1080P the maximum resol the maximum frame rate is 60 and 4K as well maximum 60 frames per second I can select a duration let's say of 1 minute and the camera will never go beyond one minute so it's always capturing the last minute of what you were doing time lapse one of the features I like the most on this camera here I can select a shooting length for that time lapse or I can leave it in infinity and here is a general rule anytime something happens really quick take a short interval anytime something happens really long take a long interval that means if you're building a house why would you go for an interval of 05 seconds I would definitely go for 2 minutes or one minute and if I select already a length for that house for instance that you're building now let's say 10 hours with an interval of 60 seconds I get a 20 second clip out of these two hours if I go to 5 hours it's 10 seconds and for instance if I just put together some ingredients for my nice uh musly Bowl in the morning and I go for a 0.5 seconds by recording for five minutes I get already a length time lapse length of 20 seconds I can change the the ratio I can turn off uh and on the stabilization stabilization is something I wouldn't NE necessarily need for a timelapse video because on a time lapse most of the time you have your camera stationary on a tripod why would you need stabilization for that and yeah if you want to start the time lapse you can push on the trigger button time shift kind of looks like a time lapse however there are no frames skipped in between this is a video which is just played back faster I can select two field of views DP and Ultra I can record in 4k only only 30 frames per second and if I push this button right here the trigger button the video starts now 5 Seconds have already passed and I didn't get one second yet out of this video and as soon as this turns to for instance 15 let's say 15 seconds I have now 1 second of real video time if I push this trigger button once again so I'm taking now a video and this video is just played back faster if I want to revert to the real speed I can push this icon right here here and now as you can see these times are going equally so audio is now recorded I can say something and if I want to go to another place faster I can push on this icon again and now anytime I walk to a different location this video is just played back faster and if I want to revert to real speed I push that icon once again pure video you get maximum resolution 4K 1080p with maximum 30 frames per second pure video is a feature which you might want to try out during low light situations the slower the frame rate is the better it is for lowl situations and in pure video the camera tries to reduce the highlights in that video and tries to expose all the surrounding which is pretty dark for a bit more free frame awesome feature as you can see here is your landscape mode and here is your portrait mode I can disable the free frame mode and the maximum resolution here is 4K and what it does now the camera takes basically a video in kind of this format and you will select later on how you want to export that video either in vertical mode or in horizontal mode cool feature and it's super nice that it's displayed in this kind of way here let's go to our playback feature here's one video we have recorded and as I said super nice that I can continue now this video at a different location or even at the same location just for instance with other people without doing any post editing by putting together all these clips because I can simply push on this small icon right here if I don't need this video anymore I can delete it from my memory card and if I tap on this icon on top uh left I can select multiple clips of photos I can delete them also straight away from my camera's memory card and that's about it now we go to the insta 360 app so everyone here's my iPhone 13 Pro here's the insta 360 app which I'm going to show you now you might see some different frame rates later on I would say more rather more than less because I have to use now the pre verion of this app to take this review so make sure to enable Bluetooth and Wifi to connect this camera to your phone and there is no extra cost involved between these two connections here I'm charging the camera at the same time while I'm recording this tutorial now uh I'm using this big power bank here which um allows me to see what the camera takes for um power at the moment it's using just 5 Watts but I can charge it with up to 20 watts I can charge the camera from 0 to 80% within 22 minutes only by using a power bank with power delivery and this is one of the best power Banks um to do so so here's the insta 3 60 app one of the questions that appear quite often on my channel here how to disable the watermark and that is possible by deselecting this toggle switch down here you will see it in English this is now in German doesn't matter if you downloaded the insta 360 app and your native language is English on your phone as well you will see the app in English doesn't matter for all the functions we don't really need um now a different language I can do do it also in Chinese because it's just symbols so to connect this camera if the camera is not connected make sure to press here on this camera icon and then it usually detects the camera from itself if you have turned on the camera if the camera is Switched Off you won't find it so make sure to turn on your camera I'm now in HDR photo mode I can switch between all the different modes by using these three bars down here I can do it also in this way so if I want to record a video I can simply push the record button right here if I want to stop that video I push it again if I want to take a photo I can easily do it by doing so I can use also a timer function I can do all the adjustments in manual mode like the shutter speed the iso or the wi balance this photo will be now recorded with 48 megapixels I can go also to 12 megapixels to save some storage here on my SD card because if I revert to 48 megapixels I can only take another 1860 photos and if I take my photos with 12 megapixels I can take another 7,161 photos I will take now my photos in raw as well or I can do it Al only in jpeg if I want to I can select an interval photo as seen before so all the functions that you have on the app are available from the camera itself so you don't really need the app however I can recommend to get the app because in here you can do so much for post editing like sharing the clips cutting the clips putting some new presets on the clips adding some music and all the nice features if I tap on these three dots up here I can show a histogram a grid I can enable GPS and here is a small icon this was the last clip or the last photo I took here's a night time lapse for instance which I took with the camera here are all the clips so if you press on album here are all the clips and the photos I recently took using this camera and I was out already to test out some cool features like a time lapse time shift and here's already a preset on it so we have like a zoom function already in that video which I can now export and you don't need to do anything in post this is also pretty amazing what the AI features here on this app are so you have so many possibilities stunning I can disable the zoom function for instance I can add more colors I can change the speed of the clip so if I want to have that just faster I can use 2X or up to 8X and or go back to my normal speed I can take a screenshot out of this video I can use all the nice filters that insta 360 offer uh without doing any color correction and post using um super expensive programs out there I can do that all from just a single app and if I want to export anything I can do it by putting by tapping on the export button let's see that was probably now a 12 megapixel photo I can share these photos or videos straight away with the 360 app my camera roll WhatsApp X and many more here's one video I recently took I can pause that video by just simply pushing once on the camera display I can cut or trim this video I can add some colors I can add some music I can change the volume off the clip I can change the speed I can take a screenshot out of this clip I can export this clip and this one was a 4K clip taken with 50 frames per second once that clip is on my phone in my camera roll I can share it straight away with all my friends using this button or this icon right here and that is the same applies also to Android phones that was my big tutorial about the insta 360 a pro thanks for your undivided attention if you think that tutorial was helpful for you make sure to get this camera using the link provided in the video description see you next time and cheers
