INSANE Underwater Footage! Ice Fishing NORTHERN PIKE with a DARDEVLE?

what is up everyone welcome back to our video back on the ice beautiful day today it's gonna be 40 degrees here in minnesota i figured i'd get set up on that shallow weed line again we're gonna do some jigging get the dead stick down hopefully we get some bass and pike coming through got the underwater camera so stay tuned let's get fishing all right first things first let's go ahead and get a dead stick down i'm using just a plain orange gamakatsu hook like there's some orange left on there and today we are using if you guys watched my last video sucker minnows today all right there's our dead stick i'm going to go ahead cut his tail off again so he can't be as strong as a swimmer down there let's go ahead and send him down the hole and he is set so for today on my jigging rod we are gonna cut this off right here check this out i am gonna bring back the daredevil ever remember this lure everyone's grandpa or everyone's used this lure when they were a kid so i figured i'd try it out ice fishing never really seen it out ice fishing don't see why it wouldn't work it's just a spoon like uh like all the other spoons we use so i'm gonna tie this on we're gonna get jigging and we're gonna see if the daredevil has a comeback in 2021. i mean look at this guys how can you not use this lure look at this i flipped this over does the distinct action of the original daredevil has consistently triggered aggressive strikes since 1906 i mean come on 115 years later it's got to still work right let's get it tied on there it is the secret bait of the day let's get into them let's go ahead and send this down i'll see you guys underwater oh look at this guys a northern right off the bat he's gonna go for my dead stick look at this oh look at it come on back come on back daredevil versus the dead stick what's he want i literally have been out here for two minutes i shot that intro got my lines down that was a nice pike it's a good start of the day oh here's a pike guys here's a pike oh where'd he oh spooked him well two pike 20 minutes another bad uh little uh spot i picked figured they would be on a nice prowl for food today we've had some stable weather and uh like i said 40 degrees it's noon about 12 30 now and uh they should be out looking for food let's keep at it here we go guys look at this look at this pike look at this pike i didn't even move come on come back come back did you guys see that pike holy cow that got my heart pumping here he comes he's back oh daredevil bait which one do you want oh my goodness my heart's pumping come back a third time maybe he's just analyzing everything making sure if he wants uh here he comes i wasn't kidding holy cow take it come on come on you came back a third time you know you want to eat unreal unreal my heart is pumping all right well it's going to keep grinding keep on jigging i mean we are we definitely have pike coming through daredevil's calling them in a bass we got pike we got what's going on down there oh my god guys we got a bass and a pike this is so cool i lost my lure i don't even know where it's at right now okay here we go this guy's gonna bite holy cow we got a fight here this is insane i bet that's that pike right before all right well that was insane my camera shut off for a second there and uh as i'm clicking on these freaking fish came in hot that is so cool that bass ate that daredevil too come on they literally fought over that guys that was insane that was insane this is crazy i have not hooked up with a fish but this has been a crazy hour of fishing i've only been out here for one hour this has been crazy here he comes again okay he's gonna eat i'm gonna let him eat that minnow look at him what is he thinking all right a little uh explanation there go figure the second i uh go to check my camera i look up and that bass had his lure in his mouth and missed him and looked like that bass and pike were fighting for it that was some of the coolest footage i've seen in a while just keep on jigging man they're down there this is crazy oh he just missed it he just missed it come back come back come back this day is crazy how many pike are coming through come back here we go he's gonna take it come on got him there we go there we go guys we are hooked up finally nice fish nice fish here we go guys we are finally hooked up that is a nice pike right there look at that [Music] it's daredevil one of the ones been circling around a bunch been catching fish since 1906. let's go ahead and let that one go all right that was fun on camera i knew he was gonna eat and came and shooting all right goodbye see you later all right that was awesome let's get back down there i'm actually going to re-tie because uh his teeth got on this one so see you in a second all right freshly re-tied up let's get back down there [Music] bring him back the daredevil baby bringing it back here we go check this out another pike coming in i think he wants it take it come on buddy let me wiggle it take it take it take it shoot here he goes shoot it's like i sometimes you keep jigging and you stop it it's like you almost wish you would have kept jigging the old [ __ ] of water cutter right there man hoof well that was fun another pike it's amazing how many pike came through this afternoon well guys all the fun today on the camera i would say the uh daredevil definitely uh called him in maybe if i would have tipped it with a minnow head i would have got a couple of those ones that came up and sniffed it but either way what a fun day on the camera even had that bass and pike fighting after it so i'd say it might be worth taking out of the summer tackle box and trying it out this winter either way stay tuned guys can be throwing a lot of baits at these
