Timothy Liang who will be working a little bit afterwards but he will be standing in the back afterwards with the camera and if God has touched your life and you want to share that testimony then as you leave just they'll put a little microphone on you really quick and and you'll share you can take a break just for just for this assistant this is not a real super spiritual announcement this is just me sharing and you and you'll you'll put on the microphone and mr. Timothy Lai will will share with you how to share your testimony then you'll share your story and we'll put that out on social media to help spread the word about what God is doing in these meetings and so this is something I want to challenge you to do maybe you're a little bit of a shy person that's good this will be good because God wants to help you break out of that she'll a little bit and this is an opportunity for you to become more evangelistic and bolder so as I said I'm going to be sharing a word about drawing closer to Jesus but before I do I want to share with you why it is we're gathering in Southern California several years ago God shared with me a powerful vision now ever since I can remember as far back as it goes at least within the days that I had known the Lord I recall having this burden for Southern California if you know the history of Southern California then you're aware of the fact that many if not most of the great moves of God that spread throughout this nation first began in Southern California and I believe this with all my heart church God is not done with the United States of America God is not done some will say it's too late some will say there's no chance some will say we can't stand against the evil that's taken over some say that it's the judgment of God that people have been put in power that really are pushing the devil's agenda but I don't know about you I believe I believe that there is no spirit more powerful than the Holy Spirit I believe [Music] that this gospel being preached can pierce the hearts of even the most wicked of men and women I believe that the message of the Cross is the message of the hour and that as we declared the cross of Christ as we declare the message of salvation that people will be transformed so for as long as I can recall I've had this burden to see revival in Southern California and I'm telling you this right now what you are seeing what you're watching right now online and those of you who have the privilege of attending tonight what you are sitting in is the beginning of the next outpouring of the Holy Spirit here in Southern California this is the holy spirits movement it's not mine it's his this belongs to the Holy Spirit God showed me a vision I didn't start this to try to start something God said start it and he did the rest this is not a work of man this is not a clever work of people coming together trying to make something happen this is a response to the voice of God and God is making good on his promises [Music] so God showed me this vision and in the vision I see as far as I was able feel and these fields went on for miles and as I looked into the fields I could see many different workers some of them were plowing the ground some of them throwing seeds into the ground [Music] but all of the workers every single one of them were tired hot Sun beat down upon them as they sweat and worked and toiled and did everything they could to bring about that harvest [Music] the ground was follow and dry with every movement that they made they kicked up more dirt making it more difficult for them to work and then I heard the sound of thunder / beyond the horizon I could see as a cloud began to roll in and as that cloud began to roll in those workers began to look up and as they began to look up I saw the rain beginning to fall and the rain began to not only fall on the workers and refresh them but every time a drop of water would hit the ground and these were not small drops these were big thick drops of rain every time a drop would hit the ground a plant would immediately sprout up I've asked for interpretation on this vision I think it's obvious the dirt that was being kicked up was the rejection of the gospel the workers that represents the church they represented the church with every movement they were sowing seeds that were plowing the ground and they were wondering where the harvest was and they said this is too difficult here's the thing about God God likes to wait until the very last minute to move so that when he moves you know who gets the glory he's our God he was always on time and so these workers are working this field and they they can't figure out how to make the harvest come about they did everything they could that was until Lorraine came and I heard that rumbling of thunder God told me it was the sound of worship and that the next great move of God will be announced with the sound of worship church have we not seen a great worship movement sweep our nation that's just the precursor to what's coming that's the worship service before the word is preached that's the worship service before the miracles happen that's the worship service before the power is demonstrated that is the precursor to what God is doing and so this word came into my spirit the Lord told me be forewarned and be encouraged everything you have sown will grow the rain is coming some of you have seeds in the ground and those seeds in the ground are what you have spoken to your unsaved loved ones some of you parents have sown seeds into the hearts of your children some of your grandparents have spoken seeds into the hearts of your grandchildren some of you sons and daughters have sown seeds speaking the gospel into the hearts of your parents siblings into siblings and cousins into cousins and friends into friends every single one of us have seeds in the ground but when that rain comes everything you have sown will grow everything you have in the ground will grow some of you have toiled and labored I'm talking to pastors who have pastored churches of 12 and 15 people who wonder when is the harvest gonna come I'm talking to evangelists who wonder when they're gonna start seeing the stadiums being filled and when they're gonna start seeing the harvest come the rain is coming I'm talking to the teachers and the prophets and the apostles who have taught the word who have established ministries who have foretold the Oracles of God and they're wondering God when is it going to take place let me encourage you Church the rain is coming I'm talking to the businessman I'm talking to the businesswoman I'm talking to those of you who have sown seeds into the gospel and you've sown seeds into the gospel sing Lord I'm ready for a harvest so that I can soar so more seeds into the gospel I have an encouragement for you to the rain is coming and everything you have sown is about to grow this is why we're meeting this is why we're gathering this is why we're holding these meetings because God told me to do it and this you can already feel it is in the atmosphere Church the rain is here those of you who've been praying those of you who've been sowing those of you who have been believing let me tell you something healing is here deliverance is here salvation is here revival is here the outpouring has begun the out Loring has begun so it's very simple you want to be a part of what God is doing I want you to text the number on your screen you're not just texting a number you're joining a movement you're not just texting a number you're jumping into the river I don't care if you're not even from California you can be from other states in other countries saying I want to be a part of what God is doing fly on in you're not gonna leave empty I promise you so listen to me you've been believing for your miracle you've been believing for your deliverance you've been believing for your ministry break through that portal of heaven is open over this move of God 2020 so is this gonna be everybody in the shot or do you need them to squeeze in are you sure okay he's doing it for free so I can't really get mad if he doesn't get everybody I have to after let's go ready what alright thank you guys god bless you this is as you can tell I don't really run things like a normal service I kind of just I'm like the wind wherever the Holy Spirit leads me you okay with that well you kind of have to be you're sitting in the service now but we love all of you and this is a word that the Lord has given to me I'm gonna share the word for about 30 to 45 minutes and then we're gonna get into believing for the miraculous and I do know that God will be faithful to his word so let's pray father in the name of Jesus we thank you for your word we thank you Lord that you're about to challenge us to go to higher heights in the spirit we look to your word Lord for it is the substance of Christ Jesus we thank you Lord for the privilege in Jesus name and everyone who agreed said talking to you about drawing closer to Jesus this evening I want to stoke the fires of your love for Jesus I want to get a of one of those pokers what are those call when you go to the fireplace a Prato and I think that's what you've brand a Cal worth what is what is what is one of those calls I want I want to get one of those and just to stoke the fires of your love for Jesus if maybe there's just a little bit of a burning embers in your heart I want to stoke those and fan those into flame there to cause uh an inferno to grow in your spirit that's what the Word of God will do your love for Jesus is the key to everything and I am praying that this word will intensify that love for Jesus that you walk out of here more in love with Jesus than ever before I want to educate you with holy jealousy so there there is this idea that all jealousy in and of itself is something that's negative or demonic when in fact it is not now when I say jealousy I understand that there are some people who are hearing me say that and for the it invokes remembrances of abuses but you have to recognize that unholy jealousy is rooted in fear and it demands what doesn't belong to it whereas holy jealousy is rooted in love and it demands what actually belongs to it which one of you married people today wouldn't be jealous if your spouse went on a date with someone without you that's a holy jealousy you-you-you demand what belongs to you you demand what is rightfully yours and that is what I'm talking about tonight when I say I want to agitate you with the holy jealousy in life your passion for Jesus does not have to ebb and flow we have kind of accepted this notion that our spiritual lives will always be inconsistent we've accepted this thought that we will find seasons of compromise and seasons of growth and that's just the way it is and while I do not want to preach a message of condemnation I do want to present to you this idea this truth that your spiritual life can be consistent and continually growing without having to waver stop shrink back or be disruptive in any way you can live from glory to glory to glory now never forget that it is the Holy Spirit who ignites the fire of your love for Jesus and it is the Holy Spirit who keeps that fire burning Romans chapter five verse five tells us the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost so I want to look at the circle that surrounded Jesus I want to look at the people who followed him and in looking at the people who follow Jesus we find that there are many different tears different levels of closeness with the Lord so first go to mark chapter 3 I'm gonna read verse 7 and then I'm gonna skip down and read verses 9 through 11 mark chapter three for those of you wondering I read most scriptures out of the New Living Translation and I know some of us don't necessarily like the different translations other than the King James if this upsets you just consider it a commentary so mark chapter 3 verse 7 and then we're gonna jump down to verses 9 through 11 so I'm gonna begin to read now Mark chapter 3 verse 7 it says Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake and a large crowd from Galilee followed because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him to keep the people from crowding him verse 10 for he had healed many so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him whenever the impure spirits saw him they fell down before him and cried out you are the son of God so first and foremost we see the crowds masses amounts of people a massive amounts of people would would follow Jesus because they had heard of the miracles that he had performed they heard he cast out devils they heard he could heal the sick they heard that he was someone who was teaching profound things and they knew that he raised the dead perhaps some followed him because of what he was able to do with the multiplication of food perhaps some followed him because many had witnessed the Holy Spirit descending upon him like a dove whatever the reason the crowd followed Jesus for what they could get from him the crowd followed Jesus for what he could do they heard about the miracles they wanted to experience his miracle-working touch and there was nothing wrong with this many of those people who came to Jesus to receive a healing touch he was gracious enough to touch them and heal them even though he fully expected in fact he knew which ones would ultimately leave him even after he performed a miracle on their behalf he was gracious in doing so some believers never leave the level of the crowd some believers remain a part of the crowd you know you're a part of the crowd when your Christianity is summed up in a commitment to Sunday morning attendance and maybe once in a while midweek service but that devotion never goes beyond church attendance it never goes beyond an adapted culture it never goes beyond a superficial belief it remains this thing that we do this this thing that we enact this religion that we've come to believe because we never really step out of the crowd and into the inner circle of Jesus we remain on the outside we love them we we adore him were blessed by him the problem is we surrender just enough to be blessed by him never enough to be inconvenienced by him we said Jesus I'll take what's in your hand never mind what's in your heart and this is the crowd moving closer now into the inner circle of Jesus come with me as we draw closer to the master in Luke chapter 10 we see that he has an even smaller circle which surrounds him now I'm gonna stay on this one for a while because it's something I need to address Luke chapter 10 verses one through three the Lord now chose 72 other disciples by the way he had 72 disciples not just 12 the Lord now chose 72 other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit these were his instructions to them the harvest is great but the workers are few so pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest ask him to send more workers into his fields now go and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves on a side note I found it interesting that the very ones who Jesus told to pray for the harvest were the ones that he sent out to go get the harvest this shows me that God will have us pray not so that we can pray that someone becomes an answer to that prayer because it's because that prayer causes us to become the answer ourselves prayer more than it will change anyone or anything else will change the one who phrase and so Jesus instructs these 72 trade in the Lord of the harvest they pray to the Lord of the harvest then they in prayer for praying for the harvest receive a burden to go and he sends them out and so I'm sure some of the 72 loved Jesus but think about this even the twelve among them was a betrayer Judas was closer to Jesus than the 72 were and he still betrayed him my conclusion is therefore that not every single one of these 72 were truly committed to Christ himself in other words whereas the crowds wanted Jesus for what he can do for them the 72 wanted Jesus for what he could do through them they followed him for how they could be used they followed him for the power they followed him for the influence they followed him because they wanted to be significant and they wanted to be a part of something that was significant here's the danger it's dangerous to have the power without the substance it's very dangerous if I were to just run electricity through this room I'm sure none of you would be thankful for that but in fact electricity is running through this room it's how you're watching online right now but that electricity is grounded in something if you have the power of the Holy Spirit it's like handling electricity if you're not grounded in the substance of Christ it'll fry you this is why many times you hear of preachers who get famous for what they're able to do or how gifted they are but they end up having horrific lifestyles that get exposed why because they touch the power but they weren't grounded in the substance and it fried them it's dangerous to have the power without substance I avoided at all cost I call it Pentecostal superstition in other words you come to a meeting all they do is prophesying really when are you gonna mention Jesus you you want to come to the meeting okay we we lay hands we we teach you how to heal the sick yeah but well what about Jesus don't just give me his power give me his presence don't just give me don't just give me the gifting give me the glory I want him and so so the problem is many in Christianity are becoming like the 72 they're chasing after the power but they're leaving the person and this is where you get into the weird things I mean I see so-called prophets prophesy about things that I know for a fact God didn't say Oh a leaf fell off the tree God is saying that it edited that know you're prophesying out of your head I'm just being real with you guys listen I'm preaching truth okay the Bible talks about presumptuous prophets who just preach the things that just kind of come to them and we've redeem these superstitious people as spiritual people when in fact they're just practically occultic oh you don't like this but I'm giving it to you anyway I'm trying to preach the truth guys this this is the reality this is the state of the church right now if someone were to give a State of the Union address they'd give the state of the country I'm telling you this is the state of the church there are people who want all gifts but no glory and so this is an issue because it's dangerous because it's people who want a platform not Jesus look at what the message translation says many of you won't have this but I want you to listen to him Matthew chapter 7 verses 21 through 23 we know is one of the most frightening portions of scripture you could ever read in the Bible but in Matthew chapter 7 verses 21 through 23 in the message translation it hits and I want you to hear this listen to this knowing the correct password saying master master for instance isn't going to get you anywhere with me which is required what is required is serious obedience doing what my father wills this is the message translation I see it now he says I can see it now at the final judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying master we preach the message we bashed the demons our God sponsored projects had everyone talking and do you know what I'm going to say all this we'll hit look at what he says you missed the boat all you did was use me to make yourselves important this is this is heavy stuff right here he says all you did was use me to make yourselves important you don't impress me one bit you're out of here can I just be real tonight you can't buy the anointing for the price of a registration fee you don't receive the prophetic or the miraculous from a seminar or a video series what would it say in Acts chapter 8 verse 22 when the disciples rebuked Simon the sorcerer said perhaps the Lord will forgive you for the iniquity and the evil that's in your heart what did he want he wanted to by the Holy Spirit not because he was interested in preaching the gospel he was interested in using that power to make himself important you're not going to register have hands laid on you and for the price of an entry fee walk out with the anointing of the Holy Spirit the power of the Holy Spirit is found in the presence of Jesus now I am NOT against Instagram and social media I use it that's the primary you know we use it brother there's nothing wrong with it but you'll be able to testify to this there's this culture that has taken over the preaching culture in many aspects of in many parts of the church I should say and it's the influencer culture everyone wants to be a social media celebrity I Got News for You preacher I Got News for You evangelist we're not celebrities we're servants we're not in this to be famous we're in this to serve if you're more concerned with how many people follow you than with how many people are going to heaven you need to repent there's an issue that is arising that needs to be addressed we cannot follow Jesus just for his power it's this influencer culture I'll tell you a selfie with the famous preacher won't give you his anointing or influence a selfie with the preacher isn't gonna make us go wow you're one of the but these they're people that do this because they're trying to gain importance I don't want to be like that I don't want to be one of the 72 I don't want to be the people who I know for a fact followed him for what he could do through them sure some of them loved him but remember my point many of them I'm also sure followed him simply because they were being used by him they don't want to be used by Jesus they want to use Jesus why do you come around Jesus why do we come around the Lord do we want him or his influence you want to know the real key to power the real key people ask me all the time brother David what's the secret what's the secret what's it there's no secret it's in the Bible some people think it's a secret cuz they don't open the Bible say what's the secret what's the secret what's the secret I can give it to you in one word one word the key to the power of God are you ready die you want God to really use you you have to die okay if I'm just being honest with you you know ministry in and of itself is not worth the hell you go through the end of the day these cameras are gonna be turned off you're all gonna go home and I'll have to go live with myself and if I haven't really followed Jesus I'll know it I want his presence because when the crowds are gone when the lights are off and the cameras are put away when there's no platform to stand on when my voice isn't amplified by a microphone I'm just speaking to the darkness if Jesus isn't there so let me tell you any any person who's in ministry are coming up in ministry don't fall for the trap of that influencer culture don't be among the 72 I want to move past the crowd I want to move past the 72 come with me now as we go further into the circle of Jesus Luke chapter 6 is this blessing you tonight Luke chapter 6 beginning at verse number 12 one day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray he prayed to God all nights at daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles here are their names of course we all know their names but I want you to notice something here Jesus prayed all night before making a major decision and then he goes and he chooses twelve to become apostles these were men who were to travel with Jesus can you imagine yes I understand Jesus is here with me through the Holy Spirit but can you imagine physically traveling with Jesus I get to travel with all these guys we love each other we have fun don't we we try to make we try to make our ministry trips fun to say I mean sometimes it means sometimes it's really difficult to even squeeze in a moment just to sit down and catch our breath but there are moments we have fun the camera crew travels with us we got a worship team and it's a good time my goodness can you imagine traveling with Jesus physical form like he says like well I don't even know cuz he said on that one outreach they were only allowed to take one change of clothes so I don't know if you needed you to carry anything for him but you go her you stay in the same the same places he stayed you eat at the same restaurants he ate at you you walk around the same and then after he's done preaching you said one of them grabbed his Bible no I'm kidding one of them grab you know one of them was able to add and they were able to walk in and they listened to his sermon and I the words they go hey Jesus what did you mean by that and he would tell him oh my gosh but still among the twelve there was one who betrayed him you realize Judas who cast out Devils was filled with the devil himself to be that close and miss it I don't know how you do that still some miss it these are the people the twelve to me represents the people who are for what Jesus is for they love him but it's a shallow love now I'm sure many of the twelve loved him even more than that but again I'm using Judas as an example he was among the twelve he was for what Jesus was for so the crowds they follow Jesus for what he can do for them seventy-two follow Jesus for what he can do through them the twelve followed him because they were for his cause and they had somewhat of a love for him but let's go deeper now let's go deeper into the inner circle of Jesus lift your hands they lord help me receive this Matthew chapter 17 this is this is one of my favorite portions of Scripture at least for this message sometimes it's hard to decide which ones are your favorite someone asked me what's your favorite scripture I said depends what day it is you like some more than the others on certain days what in Matthew I you know I when I had food poisoning when we were in Canada you can bet my favorite Scripture was I am the God that healeth II Matthew chapter 17 beginning at verse 1 let's set the context here this is Jesus about to reveal his glory it's what we want right we want to see more of him than we've ever seen before we want to see his glory okay so Matthew chapter 17 verse number one six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers James and John and led them up a high mountain to be alone as the men watched Jesus his appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the Sun and his clothes became as white as light suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus Peter exclaimed you were here the saying that a wise man speaks because he has something to say a fool speaks because he has to say something so Peter exclaimed Lord it's wonderful as for us to be here if you want I'll make three shelters as memorials one for you one for Moses one for Elijah but even as he spoke a bright cloud overshadowed them and a voice from the cloud said this is my dearly loved son who brings me great joy listen to him the disciples were terrified and fell facedown on the ground now here we see Moses the law Elisha the prophets and Christ the New Testament and God calls attention to Christ now this is the one you listen to now he fulfilled those and so the disciples see this tremendous display of the glory of God they capture a glimpse of him in a way that very few had ever seen now if you look later on in that portion of the chapter you will see that the disciples and Jesus Peter James and John the only three were who were allowed to go up at the top of the mountain with Jesus came back down and what did they find when they came back down they came to the other disciples trying to cast a demon out of a boy and they couldn't do it remember what Jesus said he said this kind comes out only through prayer and fasting why because it was a higher ranked demon the stronger demon than what the disciples were used to dealing with so when they came to cast it out they were perplexed that they couldn't cast it out the Bible says Jesus comes down from the mountaintop the people are standing in awe why were they standing in odds because he was still glowing glowing with the glory of God he was still shining with brilliance when he came down from the mountain here's my point only those who stand on the mountaintop with Jesus can cast out Devils in the valley which disciples couldn't cast out the demons the ones who weren't on the mountain they all had authority over demons but this demon was stronger again only those who are with him at the top were able to cast it out time with Jesus comes with power it's not something you can fake it's evident on your life when you have the presence of Jesus only those who've been touched by the glory of God can be used for the glory of God it's time to live your life on a higher plane Peter James and John were welcomed to come to the mountaintop and see the glory of God I don't know about you but I'm sure in fact that you have had mountaintop experiences with Jesus I'm talking about those seasons of Prayer where you lock your door and you don't want to talk to anyone you forget you have kids in that season your phone doesn't even interested you go you try to watch your shows you try to adjust it's like it's it loses its luster it's just it's also bland it's also boring and dull and dreary I don't even want it but these people on the mountaintop sometimes when I know I'm preparing for a service I'll go and I'll pray before service and I'll get in such glory I'm like Lord I don't want to go down from the mountaintop just send someone else to preach but the law is like I'm not giving this for you you got to take it with you but here's the truth only Peter James and John were allowed to come up to the mountaintop it's time to go to a higher level of living church I want the Holy Spirit to fill at home and mean the things you watch do they remind the Holy Spirit of things that break his heart when you're watching something or listening to something you're talking with someone your conversation your thoughts your actions your viewing habits whatever it is the Holy Spirit's right there with you what do you think he's comfortable with all of it I'm pausing because I want you to think about it do you think the Holy Spirit is comfortable with all of those things in your life if the answer is no my question to you is why haven't you removed it yet I'm not talking about your salvation I'm not preaching legalism here salvation is free but the anointing will cost you everything now [Applause] church in mark chapter 14 again this is this is substance for the believer who wants to go deeper mark chapter number 14 verse number 32 we're gonna see another side of Jesus now look up in me when you're there mark chapter 14 verse 32 now look up at me on the mountaintop Peter James and John each saw the glory of God they saw Jesus in his power and his might the same three Peter James and John are now with him in an entirely different moment they went to the olive grove called Gethsemane and Jesus said sit here while I go and pray he took Peter James and John with him and became deeply troubled and distressed now look up at me again to the crowds he told parables to the 72 he preached teachings even to the disciples he gave the twelve disciples he gave revelation but to Peter James and John he opens his heart look at what he says he told them my soul is crushed with grief to the point of death stay here and keep watch with me there comes a season in your walk with the Lord when you become so near to him that he begins to share his suffering with you see the crowds don't want that the 72 don't want that the 12 don't even want that Judas said Lord what are we doing let's establish an earthly Kingdom here he didn't want the cross Lord I'll take the blessings I'll take the influence I'll take the ministry I'll take my salvation but do not put your suffering on me but those who truly love him those who desire to go deeper into the spirit those who desire to know Jesus in greater depths they come to the place where they know him and his suffering Philippians chapter 3 verses 10 11 say this that I may know him the power of his resurrection and the Fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the Dead see the crowds said meet my needs but I don't want to share in your pain this is something that we must cross over into if we truly want to see the depths of God those are the three church Peter James and John can you imagine Jesus telling you that like you're the one with all the answers and now you're telling me your soul is crushed to the point of grief that you feel like you're gonna die what do you say to him in that moment they couldn't say anything there's nothing they could have told him that he didn't know there's nothing they could have showed him from the scripture that he himself wouldn't have taught them there's no miracle they could have performed there's no way they could have brought him closer the one thing could do for him was watch with him was wait with him was just be with him nothing God needs from us God needs you to this God no it's not true he is self-sustaining what he desires from you is your companionship now it goes even deeper than this I want to show you just one more key verse here John chapter 21 verse 7 stop for a second lift your hands and praying the Holy Spirit Church come on ask him to fill you ask him to teach you help us Lord help us Lord okay John 21-7 then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter it is the Lord as soon as Simon Peter heard him say it it is the Lord he wrapped his heart or garment around if we had taken it off and jumped into the water John knew he was loved by Jesus so the crowds loved what Jesus did the 72 loved what Jesus did through him the twelve loved Jesus's cause the three loved Jesus the one knew he was loved by Jesus it's a deeper way to walk with the Lord now you'll notice that John was the first one to recognize Jesus John had to tell Peter look it's the Lord because Peter didn't even recognize him Peter and James did not know was Jesus John recognized him before they did John was the first to recognize Jesus so many don't recognize him they miss him altogether or they follow another Jesus but those who know him those who stay close with the master are never deceived John knew he was loved by Jesus John's love stemmed from the love of God itself it wasn't rooted in his love for God it was rooted in God's love for him and therefore it was deeper some of you will catch that some of you won't some of you just have to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what that truly means but those who know truly that they are loved by God stand a much better chance effects than the only chance at truly loving God themselves now my generation doesn't like to acknowledge that there are levels to spiritual living we want to tell everybody nowadays you're all in the same level you're all just as gifted you're all the same that is not true let me I'll break it for I'll break that mindset for you quite simply here are you ready for this if you can grow in something then there are levels to that same thing if you have to grow in something it means that there is progress to be made in that something if you grow in faith there are levels to faith if you grow in wisdom there are levels to wisdom if you grow in the anointing there are levels to the anointing every believer has access to it but not every believer takes advantage of that access now fill these two seats please room every believer has access to that same power but not every believer taps into it so how do we get that I'll tell you this right now please remember this jesus loves us all equally but he trusts us in proportion to our obedience I'm gonna say that again and I want you to hear this this is this this entire message stems on this truth Jesus loves us all equally but he trusts us in proportion to our obedience Ruben you can put their chairs up here I had no idea they were still here my that's my mistake I thought those were just empty seats please get them chairs you're welcome to come right back up let's get them seats they came here early they deserve to sit up there I'm so sorry guys yeah come on back down now please no worries sorry I just I usually don't stop but that just wasn't right I died on it I had to correct my mistake there now I used to sing this song and I looked it up it's actually by Chris Tomlin when I used to sing this song my whole body would tense up you ever worship to God so much it just like you go home sore you feel like you got a workout this was the song it was called in the secret by Chris Tomlin I I was 13 14 years old I believe around that age teenage years singing this song the Lord in the secret in the quiet place in the stillness you are there in the secret in the quiet hour I wait only for you because I want to know you more I want to know you I want to hear your voice I want to know you more I want to touch you I want to see your face I want to know you more I am reaching for the highest goal that I might receive the prize pressing onward pushing every hindrance aside out of my way because I want to know you more how do you come to be in the inner circle of Jesus how do you get to the place where he trusts you well number one you spend time with him that we know and that's a whole different sermon for a whole other evening but the other thing is stewardship how well do you take care of that which he has given you this is something that is so key how are you handling the ministry God's giving you the third one as we walk in holiness walk in holiness carry your cross number four when God asks you to give something up just give it up you try to hang on to your life you're gonna lose it but that's not even really what I want to share those are four simple I'm a how-to type of guy so those are four simple how to's that I just gave you on how drawing closer but really I just as I said at the beginning I wanted to agitate so holy jealousy within you in Luke chapter 8 verse 18 Jesus tells us that we receive revelation based upon how we handle revelation so what you're receiving here tonight depending upon what you do with this will determine what God gives you next if you take this revelation and do nothing with it you're gonna he's not gonna give you the next one but if you take this and begin to walk with it and you begin to do something with it he's gonna take you deeper some of you will go even deeper than I went Paul the Apostle in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 verses three through four tells us that there was a vision he had of heaven and he didn't know whether he was in his body or whether he was actually outside of his body but he knew that God showed him something and he said that he went to the third heaven he said there were things he didn't even want to talk about things he didn't even want to share tonight the Lord has permitted me to share something with you God first told me this it showed me this when I was about somewhere around twelve thirteen years old and it's been almost 15 years and I haven't shared it up until I started preaching this specific message only this month I believe God just released me to share this month so I'm gonna share something with you something I saw and as I share it please don't stand up and leave you don't know how unpleasant that is to share something like this and have you leave not right now and no children making noise no solid just as I share this please reverence the presence of the Holy Spirit lift your hands say lord help me receive okay lord help me share this with a pure heart help me to rejects the flashes desire for glory as I share this only for your glory Jesus in Jesus name it's very simple vision I was praying suddenly I stood in the throne room of God now there was no great detail such as you might read about in the book of Revelation where he's describing the lightening and the colors and so forth I didn't see any of that I don't think I was ready to handle that in all honesty all I saw was a massive room that was so brilliant and so filled with light that I could make out hardly any details the room was massive before me I could see a large throne brilliant like it was this if everything was made of a light upon its at the Lord I saw his white robe brilliant I couldn't see his face frustrating but understandable brilliant and I began to walk toward the throne and as I begin to take steps forward [Music] I sensed within my heart this grief come on me and I thought this isn't right this is the presence of the Lord there's there's fullness of joy in his presence there's peace of mind that will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee and I couldn't I couldn't really understand why I felt sorrow [Music] with every step that I took closer every step that I took closer the sorrow increase the anguish increase [Music] then Church God as my witness I heard him weeping I know in that moment I felt his pain and there was no way that was all of it and I sensed all of it it would have ruined me for the rest of my life I feel like in that moment he just leaned ever so slightly with a little bit of weight on me my heart broke I felt I felt like my my heart was shattered into pieces deep grief deep sorrow like losing a loved one or being devastated with some life-altering event it was just this deep deep anguish I'm not saying that those who love the Lord will walk in English all the time no I'm simply saying that in that moment at that time for what God was showing me this is what I felt and I asked the Lord I asked the Holy Spirit what is that I feel and the Holy Spirit revealed to me that that's the father weeping over lost souls [Music] you want to know why I preached the gospel with such urgency you want to know why I preached the gospel with such passion and conviction it's because I know that every soul I win but for every soul I win I'm wiping a tear off the face of Jesus you know what drives me yes I care about souls yes I care about people's eternity but that's not my main driver what drives me is my Jesus what drives me is my Lord and my master is bringing pleasure to him he's giving him that for which he died winning the loss that he might reap the reward of being crucified that is my foremost driver that is what proved me to become an evangelist that is the passion that comes out of me that is why I get into the word that is why I pray that is why I'm out here doing these things in ministry you want to know what drives this ministry it's that passion for the things of God it's that desire to give to Jesus some level of comfort it's to stay with him while he grieves I can feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit in here lift your hand say Lord I want to know you now begin to pray and the Holy Spirit come on you want to get to know him you truly want to get to know him you're gonna have to come to know the Fellowship of his suffering you want to be on Jesus's inner circle well you gotta move past the crowd it's no longer about what I can get it's no longer about how God can use me it's no longer about being for his cause or wanting his way in this nation it's about Jesus himself it's about Jesus himself it's about loving him and knowing him and bringing comfort to his hearts and bringing comfort to the one who died on the cross Oh Lord that we might know you in the Fellowship of your sufferings precious Jesus we love you forgive us father for coming to you without wanting you forgive us father for floundering on the superficial let us go into the depths of who you are we desire you we desire you wake up glorify the name display keep praying in the Holy Spirit Church keep praying and the Holy Ghost he's doing something deep in you now he's working in you saintil mmm I sent talked to the Holy Spirit and he said he's so tired of our agendas he's so tired of our agendas our ambitions our excuses but today God is showing mercy Jesus take us in [Music] make us all about you for the sake of you we abandon ourselves in your presence we abandon ourselves in your presence come to him like little children come to him like little children I don't care if you're a pastor I don't care if you're an evangelist the business owners someone who's in charge someone who's important before him were little children all Jesus let us know you let us know your health and your home their diseases we know it's because you are the law are [Music] you're believing for healing in your body lay your hand on your sickness right now God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask a thing and as you lay your hand on your sickness I'm gonna pray pray with me in the spirit pray in the Holy Ghost in the spirit [Music] keep praying the Holy Spirit I'm seeing in the spirit now there's a demonic beam hovering over many of you taunting you I see it has large dark horns and the eyes of like a fly like an incense I'm not trying to bring glory to this thing I'm just saying what I see it's not all the people because it can't touch them it's it's hovering trying to just trying to stay really in the name of Jesus I speak to that stronghold of sickness and disease and I declare to you under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and in the authority of the name of Jesus I declare to you your power is broken in this place tonight [Music] your powers broken let God's people go Church of the Living God sickness has lost its power in this place that I now lift your hands receive your healing come on in the name of Jesus I command blood disorders to be made whole I command bone disorders sweet and made whole my command nervous systems and and and digestive systems and immune systems be made whole in the name of Jesus the Lord you created the body you formed the body now take your hand Lord and reform and recreates put tissue back if there's missing tissue bring sites to the blind eyes bring hearing to the deaf ears let the mute speak or and not declare your glory we wear glasses take them off you had hearing aids take it out if there was pain check to see if the pain is there at any party of your body if there was a growth or a tumor or a lock check to see if that lump is there skin disorders have been healed if there was a skin disorder I want you to look and you're gonna find that the skin has cleared up completely skin disorders are being healed in eyes are being healed in hearing you hominid were healed by the power of God let me see your head waving me waving me look at these people can we give the Lord a hand a raise for this people and touched by God's power let me see again wave at me God he'll just put your hand up what you're gonna mam what did God do for you in the red [Music] she said she tore her meniscus last year and your MCL complete terror did you come here in pain tonight come come come walk come on come on oh look at this church can we give Jesus an away [Music] has been healed let me see waving me waving me wait if you've got this is for you it's a good word for you what you saw here tonight was the Holy Spirit in action the word was preached you inspired how I can't even imagine how many evangelists will be raised because of tonight how many preachers of the gospel will go out now and then begin to preach the gospel because it would happen tonight our ministry is growing rapidly and and and and you can see guys I tell you just this group right here we mark it to a very small portion how many received the text or an email let me see your hand okay you know there's only like 400 of you on the e mailing list this is a very small group for now we're opening it up now for the texting but but we're not pushing this on all our platforms if we did this thing with there's no way this would hold it Ruben we were looking at the ni on Convention Center weren't we because the last event we did will be pushed in all in platforms there was what 700 people inside and then there was a line around the block and we had to turn many people away the building's cannot hold what God is doing the ministry is growing now so I'm gonna read something to you in Luke chapter 5 the Bible says one day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the Word of God so number one Jesus is doing what he's preaching the church he's preaching the word number two he noticed two empty boats at the water's edge for the fishermen had left there and were washing their nets stepping into one of the boats Jesus asked Simon its owner to push it out onto the water so he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there when he had finished speaking he said to Simon now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets to catch some fish Master Simon replied we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing but if you say so I'll let the nets down again and this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear a shout for help brought their partners in the other boat and soon both boats were filled with fish and were on the verge of sinking what happened here here we see fishermen that were up the night before they had done everything they know they knew to do yet they could not bring in fish now I fish sometimes mr. montezuma takes me we go out on a little boat that I always think is gonna sink because it's so small and it's like it's like writing in a foil a foil boat this this small little thing it's probably not even as big as two squares on this platform and we'll go out and fish and I can't tell you how frustrating it is that I'm on the boat for what how many hours six seven hours and I'll come back with something like this and of course on Instagram I'll hold it out in front of my face so it looks bigger and this guy will go in he actually dives in with the speargun and he goes deep into the ocean Spears him and brings brings up these giant crabs and fish I'm thinking okay whatever man-- show off right he's a diver you don't even going with an oxygen tank he'll go in just hold his breath and go like that's a whole different story you have faith man and then I stay on the boat like sometimes he'll be and I'm like is he coming back up but we'll fish and it's it's a frustrating job but but you know there's nothing you can really do to make the fish bite you have this there's techniques you can apply but it's really up to the fish whether they want to come home with you that day or not and and I found that interesting because that must have been so frustrating to be a professional fisherman and have Jesus tell you go cast your nets in the boat again all right go go go fishing in the sea once more if I was Peter I'd have been a little offended I said wait a minute let me teach you a thing or two I was there all night this is the middle of the day this is not really a good time to go throwing Nets in he thought he knew the best time to throw the nets in but Jesus had done something now that would cause the overflow of the fish Jesus had preached from his boat you see Peter allowed his boat to be used for the gospel and because he allowed his boat to be used for the gospel there was an abundance the scripture goes on to say that when the fish finally came their boat was so filled that they had to call for their partners and their partners were blessed when there's an overflow on your life it touches people it touches people still trembling under the anointing listen to me some of you have hit hard ships right now maybe you're a pastor and you're waiting for the abundance to come to your ministry maybe you're a business person you're waiting for the abundance to come to your business can I tell you the moment you align yourself with the Word of God Jesus will give you the words go cast your net again and this time there'll be an abundance this is biblical truth that I am teaching to you when you use your resources for the gospel you welcome the blessing of God this is the real deal the message you heard preached tonight was the real deal the power you saw tonight was the real deal people getting saved that's the real deal you see it with your own eyes our ministry now is taking steps guys to launch the sting to another level our new studio is gonna be done and just when two weeks Ruben Vargas said it two weeks he's overseeing all that is it gets crazy hectic isn't it right now there are so many moving parts to it you wouldn't believe we're building our new studio that's done the next step we see is two things we see the events growing two stadiums and we see building a a center here in Southern California where we can hold meetings like this not only meetings like this but other ministries can come and hold meetings we can build other sets that other ministries can use we're gonna build a world evangelism center here in Southern California so the studio's the studio is gonna be done basically it's gonna be like a church here but not like a regular Church I'm not a pastor I'm an evangelist so we'll have regular meetings anytime we want we just call it together you can come we don't have to worry about spending in fact we can turn an expense into a profit because we're gonna rent it out to other organizations and whatnot we're gonna use those resources they're gonna funnel them into the gospel so so these things take finances do you know our event costs we want to do events all across the nation next year in 2020 how many events do we have for 2020 Reuben off the top of your head quickly 15 to letter travel how about local another 10 so about 25 events 25 what you said more okay you didn't tell me anyway so so get ready to travel Steve you know that each event on average cost us around fifteen to twenty thousand dollars and the next year's budget for events is half a million half a million dollars and that will cover all events I'm not asking you all to cover tonight don't worry I'm on time what I'm talking to the people online I'm asking you to use your boat some of you have a small book some of you have a medium boat some of you have a big boat whatever the size of your boat is use it for the gospel some of your boat is five dollars and that really is the biggest your boat gets you know what God's gonna bless you for that five dollars some of you don't get all religious don't say well I'm gonna give five dollars to even though my boat's bigger no no to whom much is given much is required here's my challenge to you we don't preach the gospel to make money we give money so that we can spread the gospel what I'm presenting to you is very straightforward I'm not trying to guilt you I'm not try to gimmick you every penny you give to this ministry will be used for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and so I'm asking you in faith to use your boat I remember when I first started sewing I used to excuse myself I used to say well I don't make that much so I'm not I'm not really required to be a giver but I remember once I started sewing we started seeing the resources coming and it broke something so I'm gonna challenge you tonight some of you tonight can give certain amounts some even give other amounts but I want to challenge you to give an amount that a you've never given before or B you've rarely given and I'm doing this because I want to challenge you this is not your tithes and your offerings your tithes and offerings go to your home church I'm saying 4 big visions we need big resources and the people of God this is where we partner together and we say let's win the look Steve and I are not taking anything from tonight's offering I get a salary he gets a salary it's it's it's minimal and it's set it's fine we're fine whatever you do tonight we're gonna be able to eat what you're giving tour tonight is the ministry toward the television production toward that new facility facility things like 3/4 million dollars that we need if we want to build that thing out right the the studio is done because many of you gave to that it's done in two weeks and we're thankful for that but we got it we got to reach bigger those stadiums aren't gonna fill themselves guys we need to win the world so here's my challenge to you once again give something you've never given before even if it's one dollar more than anything you've ever given if you say I've only ever given $100 then give 101 dollars in it I want you to stretch your faith give something you've never given before or something that you've rarely done those seeds that kind of hurt you're like well I don't really know but I don't this is what God is doing if you wanted it in Southern California if you want it in Southern California we're saying we want this right this is what its gonna take because this thing's gonna get bigger this thing's gonna the the momentum is going to grow and you're going to be able to say I was there from the beginning I was one of the first people to give in to that if you want to buy a church building that we can use for church studio taping all of it it'll be a big deal in Southern California maybe you want to give toward the state of whatever it is all of it goes to the ministry and therefore it's all gonna eventually go to those things so you're giving a general offering tonight wait for it for unrestricted donations here but give what you can and again you fill that out and we thank you for this I can't promise you that if you give today that in three days you'll be debt free come on you know what I'm talking about 2:00 3:00 in the morning give $77 and in seven days you'll have seventy million dollars in your account okay we don't believe that that's all gimmicks right I'm just being real with you me honest you're just giving to the gospel so we can
