hi so uh my name is heish and I would just like to ask you to introduce yourself please yeah my name is f Chun I am uh 18y old today and I'm here to take the test okay thank you so Chi I'm going to begin by asking you some questions about your daily use of Technology all right so first things first how often do you use a computer I would say almost every day is corly an integrate part of my life I have never gone at day without using it I use it for almost Everything Entertainment school workor mostly for entertainment because my school workor is what school still haven't catch up yet it's also there's still some online class I have to take and doing alumin stuff posting session and all but yeah that's what I say I use my computer for okay thank you very much and do you prefer to watch movies on a computer or in the cinema um I honestly don't watch on both but if I had to pick I would pick the laptop because of privacy And the fact I don't have to deal with the public because sometime going out in public can be quite a mixed bag you say you yeah but I say I have to go with laptop privacy all right sure sure thank you and is there anything you don't like about using a computer uh is that I have to go be in one spot and I have I have this little problem with my legs I have to move around constantly and sitting at a desk for every hour like for however long it it get really annoying like my brain just like telling me to get up time to move time to move but I have to sit down to work up top I can't just bring that thing around just walk around the house with that yeah right nice and can you tell me how old were you when you got your first mobile phone I don't I would say 12y old it was a old phone passed down for my sister every phone that I had since up to now was pass down stuff pass me down stuff until I was 17 then I finally got my own phone I still had it now still using it but yeah nice thank you and do you have any plans in the future to get a new phone not exactly I'm planning to use this thing until it's completely offs sleep like completely unusable then I will consider switching it until then I'm going to use it until I break it okay nice thank [Music] you okay CH we're going to move to part two okay so I have a had few here you can use this penk and your part two task card is going to be this one here okay so you have 1 minute to take some notes I'm going to take the pen thank you and can you begin please okay I would like to talk to you about my favorite spot which is have to be my school teteria a weird place I know but I like it because uh the place there have a lot of food like they have a large diversity of food a lot of p p a lot of noodles a lot of rice based dish it's only feel like its own shop built into a school it also have its own like eating area like the shop is in this one corner but then the eating area also take the the rest of the joy of the SP it's cool because it's built right in the school so you can go down there at break time go down there buy some food hang out with friend you know hang out chat a little bit then go back to class it's convenient it's extremely convenient the decoration is nothing to be it's nothing to write home about it's just a classic School type OFA I mean there are some plant in there I don't know if they're fake or not maybe but overall it looked me Rich not something right home about but yeah that's all I have to say about the school T what fair enough thank you um so just tell me how often do you eat in there I was say twice a week nice and do you have any favorite dishes they serve um not particularly other than this one baked pastry that have eggs it's like it have hot Bo egg baked into the pastry there also have a bir base on top of it right yeah okay CH uh we're now going to move to speaking part three so my first question for you is in your opinion do people in your country eat healthily I would say yeah they eat extremely healthily because um fat foods over here is not a thing eating out in Vendor like on the street is a lot more healthy and it's a lot more affordable for the Vietnamese people and the food they sell there is honestly quite healthy a lot of vegetable a lot of like meat option I saying yeah it's really healthy for you because often not they're like fresh CU mostly homemade stuff it's not a lot of like Industrial Products so you can't think of any situations in which Vietnamese people might eat unhealthily no I would think at par it's definitely at par don't eat a lot of unhealthy food but also at I say that food vender is healthy but at certain spot the quality of the food is questionable but right it's may not be Health up to health standard all right sure um but as you can see the rates of childhood obesity are increasing not only in Vietnam but around the world so how can young people be encouraged to eat more healthily this one is a tough one I don't really have an answer for that one uh than via advertisement because via advertisement can really influence a lot of people to do certain things and I think with enough advertisement and enough endorsement you can get people to eat healthfully and also put regulation on unhealthy food like taxs right you can put tax on unhealthy food while lowering the tax for healthy food y absolutely sure and do you think there are any significant differences in the types of food that older people and younger people in your country gravitate to I would say yeah the younger people the younger generation often you know move toward more trendy food more more popularized by the internet whereas the old generation as you can probably guess gravitate more to traditional food like uh one that like far me that right but the younger people tend to Rait take something more trendy I'm not particularly well wor in that kind of topic so I can't really give you an example of a trendy food right now that's right inam but yeah okay fair enough and how do you think that eating habits in your country will evolve in the future this is quite a tough case because my people are quite diverse so it's like giving one straight answer is kind of hard I would say people in the city would tend to gravitate more outside food like uh foreign food like KFC Pap that thing unhealthy yeah but it's new it's the new stuff people tend to graphly new stuff than the old stuff yeah sure okay thank you [Music] CH and that concludes our test so of course now I'm just going to give you a little bit of feedback uh when I give feedback I'd like to break it into the four I areas so fluency and coherence vocabulary grammar and pronunciation I would say your fluency and coherence is probably your second strongest area behind your vocabulary uh the strengths of your fluency and coherence firstly are about your linking language uh it's a requirement of the test that you use enough linking language a variety accurately and flexibly and you definitely fulfill all those character uh all those qualities for example when you say things like I honestly or I finally or I mostly you're using your adverbs in a nice natural flexible position in part three when you're linking contrasting ideas using words like whereas and uh while again you're linking very naturally so I would say your linking language is fantastic the one thing that I could give you some feedback for the future to improve with your fluency and coherence is your part three because generally speaking in I not only in speaking but also writing we need to avoid overgeneralization so what you told me is essentially all Vietnamese people eat healthily I would recommend that if you believe a majority do then you at least give a contrast of perhaps a minority who don't likewise then you could use examples like for example many busy students nowadays are forced to go to convenience stores like mini stop where they eat instant noodles which are essentially processed empty carbohydrate dishes with no nutritional value you could also mention of course about how some deep fried dishes and salty dishes are very common in Vietnam salt of course being the main cause of cholesterol and heart disease so I would say in your part three your answers were very good and you kind of hit the nail on the head with some of them for example when you offered the solutions I thought that was fantastic but don't forget in iots we need to give uh different examples so if you're asked about people in your country always think perhaps of what you think of the majority but then maybe contrast it with a minority perspective okay coming on to your vocabulary I would say your vocabulary is your number one area because you have some wonderful idiomatic vocabulary like a mixed bag and nothing to write home about which you use beautifully you have lots of less common vocabulary like obsolete unusable switching to diversity regulations questionable Etc and you have nice collocation like pass down and catch up so overall I would say your vocabulary was amazing in part one and part two part three there is still scope for improvement because if you're talking about food then there's a lot of topic related vocabulary you could be using as I mentioned things like deep fried salty empty carbs uh nutritional value Etc but nevertheless I still think you did a good job I would just say part three is where you have the biggest scope to show a bit more variety okay yeah coming on to your grammar I would say grammar unfortunately on the flip side is the area you need to improve the most in the future now with grammar we can divide it into two we can talk about variety and we can talk about accuracy when it comes to variety you're actually fantastic you have lots of complex structures you're linking Clauses beautifully you've got evidence of past simple future simple present perfect huge variety of tenses and structures the downside is when it comes to subject verb agreement so for example you are often mentioning single nouns like pastry but using the verb form have for example pastry have rather than a pastry has okay so the the first thing with your grammar is you need to be very mindful of subject verb agreement for example not it get but it gets not my brain tell but my brain tells the second aspect of grammar you need to be aware of is your noun forms because you frequently used phrases like a lot or some and Then followed it with a single noun so examples of that would be a lot of dish rather than a lot of dishes a lot of vegetable rather than vegetables many option rather than many options so in terms of your grammar good news Okay massive variety of tenses and structure the thing to fix to elevate your eyot score definitely your basic verb forms and your plural noun forms okay finally coming on to your pronunciation I would put your pronunciation third on the list behind your vocabulary and your fluency the good aspects of your pronunciation are you've got beautiful tone you link your words together well when you're chunking so when you're putting together a sentence I can hear the strong words are important and I can hear that less important words are weaker so good evidence of sentence stress however there are probably two things to be mindful of okay the first is as I mentioned those final sounds because that relates to your grammar and your pronunciation although the good news is in IELTS they never double punish so they evaluate is that a grammar or pronunciation issue and they will only knock you down in one okay however there was one thing that you're a little bit inconsistent with for example you said twice a week and when you said twice a week I hear the twice linking together beautiful connected speech on the other hand when you mentioned years old which you mentioned twice unfortunately you lost that years old okay so like I said your pronunciation has many Fantastic features I understand 100% but one thing to keep working on is a little bit more connected speech okay making sure that Z links on to the or and then you have years old okay okay so in conclusion chi I think you did a fantastic job today and I would say that you know your score being the 7.5 or around the eight mark would be weighted heavily on your fluency and vocabulary being the stronger aspects and your Grammar being the one which requires the most Improvement okay okay there we go lovely to see you today good luck with your future studies and do you have any questions before you go no nothing so all right so you did a great job and good luck for the future Chi you're in a fantastic position and honestly like your English is good enough to work in any english- speaking environment to travel to any native speaking country and communicate very effectively and that's the main goal of language acquisition right yeah thank you good y
