behind me right now in the ocean are some of the toughest people on this planet and these people are navy's uh wait hold on technical difficulties uh yep okay here we go and these people are navy seals first established in 1962 navy seals were created to conduct unconventional warfare that no man could possibly do untrained and in order to become a navy seal candidates must take on some of the most brutal and soul-crushing tests to prove that they have the physical and mental toughness that it takes to be a navy seal navy seals have been one of my greatest inspirations to push my limits and to take on the fitness challenges that i do on my channel and one day my goal is to get to a physical state that is tough enough to complete the full navy seal training and after all the fitness challenges that i've done i finally feel ready to take on just one of the many tests that a seal must take the navy seal physical fitness test will i be able to pass this test and finally start making some progress towards my goal let's find out for the first event we headed over to the pool where i have to swim a full 500 yards which is 10 laps to one end and back the maximum time i can get in order to pass is 12 minutes and 30 seconds and to meet the competitive standards i need to swim it in 10 minutes and 30 seconds and the final rule is that you can only use breaststroke or side stroke i'm not sure if this is gonna be possible to be honest i'm not much of a swimmer i don't swim at all they used to call me phelps in high school i'm gonna act like i didn't just get a bunch of water in my nose on your marks get set go now as i get started i also want to mention that for every event that i don't achieve the competitive score i will give away one set of calisthenics equipment which includes a pull-up bar wrist reps and resistance band to one of you at the end of the video so hopefully i don't hit too many competitive scores you sure you swam i'm just not a swimmer like i said before i'm not the best swimmer i pushed myself as much as i could doing the breaststroke but i tired out very quickly and i knew if i wanted to get anywhere close to a passing score i had to change it to freestyle come on brandon two more laps you got this hey what are you doing man the concrete here is so nice cool finish strong just gonna push we're not stopping we're pushing hard i'm pretty sure we're really close we're definitely getting eight minutes dude he's already at like 13 minutes right now come on brandon last lap just gotta get to the other side and you're done it's time 13 45 13 45. really yeah that's pretty terrible i thought it was like nine or ten minutes so we already failed being a navy seal but we have push-ups we have polls we have sit-ups everything that i like so let's go do those we're only allowed about 10 minutes of rest between events so we're running a little bit over time right now we're about 15 minutes over so we got to get into this next event right now which would be push-ups i have to do as many push-ups as i possibly can within two minutes and the minimum knife to get to pass is 42 push-ups and then the maximum for a competitive score is gonna be 79 push-ups to be honest i am feeling some fatigue in my muscles especially in the last from the swimming so i'm hoping i can get to the 79 i don't know though it could be pretty close starting in three two one go [Music] [Music] keep it up man pace yourself you still have a minute and 20 seconds left [Music] that was 50 right there [Music] [Music] all right 77 6 5 4 3 2 no 1. nice i think i just barely got 80 right there yeah there we go baby i had to do something to make up for that swimming bro that was awful all right by the way brandon you got two minutes of rest time right now next up is sit-ups oh we can do sit-ups too i have two minutes to do as many sit-ups as possible and the minimum that i have to do is 50 reps and then the competitive standard is 79 reps again it's gonna be tough man it's gonna be very tough all right derek how much time do i have left for resting we got about five seconds left all right here we go we're gonna do our sit-ups let me know when the timer starts yep get started in three two one go [Music] nice take a break soon it'll burn out breaks here for please all right we're a navy seal here [Music] five four three two one last one nice oh that was way more than i expected dude really yeah so derek was counting as i was doing the sit-ups and he said i got somewhere around 65 reps so hey we passed the baby we can be a navy seal all right the next event is pull-ups this is my absolute favorite i love pull-ups i love muscle-ups anything pulling related on the navy seal website it says six pull-ups is the minimum you need to pass and that 11 pull-ups is competitive then on other websites it says 8 is the minimum and that to 20 is competitive but anyway there is no time limit on this one it's as many pull-ups as i can do in a row and that's it all right here we go let's do these pull-ups the chin has to go over the bar and have to fully extend out [Music] yep [Music] let's go 20 come on yeah we could do 20. yeah nice my muscles literally just gave out like so we got a solid 19 reps right there almost 20 super close to getting the top of the competitive standard all right time to do the 1.5 mile run we've got about one more minute of rest so let me explain the standards before we start the minimum i have to run is 11 minutes in order to pass this and then the competitive standard is 10 minutes and 20 seconds i don't know if i'm gonna get anywhere close to that but we're gonna do our best here okay we are callous on his gods we got some power within us all right brandon on your mark get set go this is it my final chance to prove that i'm worthy of being a navy seal i might not be able to swim but maybe if i run this mile in record timing then i'd have a second chance so i proceeded to push myself as hard as possible for this final event hey yo i got the fastest camera man on the planet baby whoa [Music] 952 953 come on last lap brit bridge it's the last lap right here a massive cramp right now 11 29 11 30. let's go oh my god dude that was pretty good i improved a lot on the cardio 11 30. okay so unfortunately we don't have what it takes to be a navy seal we failed the test but hey at least we're
