this is a penny oh and i need a manicure most people would see this on the street and walk right past it like this stupid penny when i was in high school i turned a penny into a thousand dollars by buying and selling stuff in my hometown and then i survived not a pity for three days in the city doing the same thing gum yummy yummy today i'm in a town where i literally don't know anyone i just have logan to help me film sometimes hi surviving on a penny for one week starts right now rule number one all profit must come from the penny for instance excuse me guys does anyone here want to sell had a podcast and so he's gonna email it to me i'm super stoked where's the nickel please tell me i got the nickel from that oh my oh no oh there it is i got the nickel regardless i think this was a good haul if it isn't it's a haul we had to make marketing baby dollar general haul so here's what we got for 5.95 you know i went in there really hoping to find everything i needed for like two dollars like a marker with paper attached for a dollar or a marker with paper attached with a basket attached for a dollar but that doesn't exist right that'd be the most niche product probably ever we had to spend over half of our money on marketing i'm not even sure if it's gonna be worth it but it's something we had to do i also didn't know if i wanted to go with the two for one rice krispie treats or the pack of 18 jolly ranchers i was sitting there in that aisle for like solid five minutes i mean i got tired i had to like sit down and i think what we're going to do is try to make this this basket you know as aesthetic as possible make it look legit because that was the issue of the peppermints let's be honest i look so strange look at that look how sketchy that looks so that's what we're going to do i'm going to make this and it's going to be great [Music] oh man this one was already open if all else fails it's the motto how do i look pretty enticing so we're down to five cents brings me to pretty much why i wanted to make this series in the first place basically this entire series every single video is gonna be a fundraiser and we're gonna be raising money the entire time you can see how we're doing on youtube which is really cool about two years ago around around the time i did the last penny challenge we raised 20 000 for front steps which is a local charity in austin where i live that helps people experiencing homelessness find permanent rehabilitation in their life also haley and i we've been working with central texas food bank and the stuff they're doing for our community is just so important and so basically after this whole series i'm going to be doing another charity stream on minecraft on this channel last time we raised 20 000 i hope we can do a little bit better this time but honestly every dollar is amazing and counts i just wanted you guys to know my motivation as i'm gonna continue making these videos and continue working my butt off for the next six days there isn't a clear end date to this for so many of our brothers and sisters out there that literally don't know where their next meal is coming from so i'd really appreciate if you
