I Survived 300 Days in Hardcore Minecraft... Here's What Happened

and the story continues [Music] it all started so simply spawning in on a world and saying that i would never allow myself to die seeing how far i can push and how far i can go what i could create in the span of a single life and the story that i retreated into to bring myself away from the quarantine we were all experiencing has become an escape for so many to venture out into a fantastical world where one person is just facing off against challenge after challenge some self-imposed some set forth by the universe and so many of you so so many of you have joined in anticipation for a third chapter in this saga the next 100 days and well the time has come so setting forth in a challenge that was issued forth by luke the notable i am going to be surviving another 100 days in hardcore minecraft and completing so many new adventures and i just want to thank all of you for coming along for the ride so let's get started spawning in on the world day 201 i started this day picking up immediately where i had left off now the time span between 200 days and 300 days was much shorter than 100 days and 200 so i knew exactly where i wanted to start finishing the switch back to my hobbit hole making my way up towards a second level which i want to start doing a few big building projects in day 202 it is back to the tried and true tradition of chopping down trees except now i have an efficiency 5 axe so it goes way faster than it used to i pulled up all the dark oak stripped it and set all of the decorations in the area to really make this part of my base instead of just a box day 203 it was time to light up and bury my hobbit hole because hobbit holes go underground they don't yet you don't see them except for the doors and it wouldn't be a 300 days video if i didn't start somewhat early on with an inventory management montage so you all can see what i'm working on i worked on that until early day 204 where i'd finally set up a valuables shulker a redstone components shulker and started placing a few of my trophies around the base i did some basic enchanting because i need new pickaxes and better tools if i'm going to continue and then took inventory on what i had it's going to get me far but it's not going to get me all the way through the things that i want to do this hundred days day 205 it was time to jump on horse number three to give you all anxiety i'm taking him out around my base and while i know there's nothing here that i'm going to be able to discover to create new parts of this adventure and new tools there is somewhere i want to go i found an ocean biome which would limit spawn rates and started creating a platform in the sky looking for a very specific kind of situation very few spawn areas and a lot of space to be able to build my own monster spawner i started laying down all of the things pop some water down and the design might look familiar the next day i was just building platforms out of smooth stone slabs to get the different areas and multiple tiers ready so i can start creating industrial amounts of gunpowder i have my elytra now i always want to fly there is no other way to travel if you drowned were wondering what i was building in the middle of the ocean but i handled that situation and then torched up an island so i'd have some solid ground to stand on which was relatively safe day 207 i was assaulted by a child but don't worry i took care of it and then i swung by the nether portal that cost me shelby don't worry i'm not taking horse number three through here i rode around the long way back towards my base and then started making some hoppers and dispensers which are the most annoying thing to craft ever before grabbing even more smooth stone and flying my way back to this platform i ended up running into a few mobs which i do want them to be here just kind of not yet so they blew up a bit of the construction that's going to cost me some time but the redstone components in the center of each of these platforms is what i was really here to do day 208 this is the kind of scale for the projects that we're going to be working on in this video and probably going forward i started working on the upper tier of this farm which is a larger platform basically designed to keep the lower platforms in darkness this was a lot of smooth stone and some redstone to have a basic clock setup to trigger and then untrigger all of the dispensers in the center of all of these platforms you'll see why in just a second and that led me into day 209 after having to run back to my base for some more smooth stone running all the way back to the farm to continue on construction which was into day 2 10 where i finally finished the upper platform and started setting up the redstone timings to be able to maximize the output of this farm the two ticks on the center repeater are observed which then causes all of the central dispensers to put out water which is exactly the correct size of the platforms which will make mobs fall off onto the campfires which i can then use to cook them and get their drops i might be treating my villagers like normal people but the monsters here i want them goodies day 211 it was time for the lowest platform of the entire mob farm which is basically used to catch the mobs and filter them all to the central bernie place however it was running above me and a few creepers dropped down to say hello i want the gunpowder but i don't want to be fighting about it just yet and i'm still going for aesthetics so glass around the edges so you can see all of the water now i've been building on this project pretty much for seven minecraft days in a row so of course the first phantom attack of the hundred days happened and i got a few membranes that's nice and a good flyby shows just how cool an industrial this thing is starting to look like plus it's all above cloud level so the spawns are pretty much going to be optimized as long as i'm here a 212 i forgot how water works in minecraft and accidentally made source blocks on all of the lowest level i had to break and undo all of it that is a fail plus it was starting to rain and i was starting to run short on rockets so i flew back to the base to get a couple more components and then headed through the nether while i want to get this mob farm set up i also want to make sure that we're continuing the adventure and venturing out because there are several different things i want to do on the checklist for this 100 days so i started flying around in the deserts far away and exploring underwater i found my way into a random desert village that was being besieged by zombies and did my best to save them before calling it a night here day 213 i destroyed an entire mountain for sand with an efficiency 5 shovel this basically is insta-digging and i can get as much as i want a shulker box of sand should make sure that i'm not going to need to worry about glass anytime soon and i'm probably going to be back here to decimate this desert at some point in time because it's just far enough away i really don't care but i wasn't just gonna head back with shulkers my inventory size is quintuple so i sailed around for a bit and found pandora this is just such a cool amazing mountain imagine if we had spawned here and how much different this story would have been and you knew i had to also see that from the air because it just looks amazing i still had one of the buried treasure maps though from one of the first sunken ships that i had found and had just never recovered so i quickly stopped by the island there and picked this one up decent loot the morning of day 214 i was flying back to base when i found yet another sunken ship this one almost not entirely sunken and a floating nether portal who knew netherrack was so buoyant for not finding villages in the first 60 some odd days now i stumble across them like they're everywhere it was almost like i was trying to avoid them in the first video this one was on fire and i did my best firefighting impression to try to save them headed back by air and then c and then land getting a few extra bits of gunpowder to just fly my way into the valley for day 214 to end day 215 i desperately need to expand the storage in my base why i didn't place this down as double chests from the beginning will forever be lost on me but since they were horizontal i need to break everyone which is the bunch of items go boo everywhere every time i need to upgrade one of these chests i was at that for a good chunk of the day just more inventory management to make sure i can store everything safely in my base and i renamed some diorite to be my filter item just to you know make this cow not want to murder me just a little a little bit more day 216 i'm flying back to the mob farm because i want to get this thing done i know we've been on this one build for about a quarter of the video so far but trust me once i can fly everywhere you all will appreciate it i learned my lesson and actually watched the redstone tutorials making sure the source blocks are one higher than the flow so that way i'm not going to be causing more source blocks some signs because i built it one platform too small and then set myself on fire for just a little bit to set up the central platform a wandering trader stopped by in the middle of the night and offered me stuff that i totally don't need but it's cool that he's hanging out here that's cool and on the morning of days 217 i set up a dispenser that almost goes as fast as all the comments asking when this video was going to be released and a glass tube and some hoppers to capture all of the materials that are going to be going through and looking up and seeing mobs burning on top of those campfires brought me so much joy because they gave me resources i spent about half the day here when then things just stopped coming down the tube and then oh my god there are so many spiders burn them burn them burn it all down day 218 it was back to the village to get the economy going a little bit again i walked into my base to be attacked by a zombie and set on fire which was not cool and then dropped off a bunch of the things that i collected from the mob farm my gear is not looking great so i'm gonna have to be doing some repairs pretty soon and you know what i really want to do that with mending books but manny is expensive so i went through with all of my farmers to try to collect emeralds to the point where i was just spamming potatoes in a one by one spot you know what this guy was really happy to buy them day 219 i found out that my sugarcane farm is also potentially an iron farm if i set it up the right way and when going down to save them i found a few villagers had fallen in here as well and one turned into a zombie and then a different one tried to explode to kill me which was not very cool i sent the iron golems back up to the surface and i'll have to figure out what went wrong there and then went around through all of my librarians to try to find manny and manny was gone i couldn't find them anywhere so i traded around for more emeralds to make sure that i could actually afford multiple many books in one go once ever i find him and a creeper snuck off on me and blew me up in the middle of my base down to about half health and broke a few of my villagers workstations what are all these iron golems even here for day 220 i finally found manny he was standing inside of his house which is the last place that i would completely expect looking at some of the tools that i had set aside my silk touch pickaxe was practically broken as well as forkey and a few other things i headed down to the abandoned mine shop for more iron and redstone and components and did a little bit of on-camera mining and collecting resources to get what i wanted i found my old monster farm the one set up on the zombie spawner and then just quickly killed a few just to make sure that it was you know feeling a little bit of love and then dropped off all the resources in the super smelter to be getting more iron on day 221 breaking bamboo was the most satisfying start to this minecraft day just one little punch and everything goes flying and then i grabbed some additional wood because you always need wood my elytra was the first thing to get mending put on it because like i said i want to fly everywhere and then i traded with my villagers some more to try to make sure i would be able to afford more books i made all the chickens and cows and traded with villagers and repaired my iron golems with iron ingots all in the name of additional experience to make sure my wings were good to go day 222 was more chicken breeding more trading and then flying back over to the portal i broke down the initial supports this thing can fly physics be damned and use that to make the upper area just a little bit larger to increase the darkness level then it was another overnight session here watching all of the resources pile in it's not the best but it's mine on day 223 i did a quick pass of the mob farm in action which just looks amazing and then headed off to the portal that took shelby i spawned in a new place not up in my nether roof which means she would have survived and then spent some time enhancing and building out the gold form just a little bit more before putting that to use to really get my materials repaired and start getting more gold i found one of my villagers trapped up in the bamboo but rescued him no torture for you and the next morning did a bunch of trading with my cleric sending gold and zombie flesh to him for more emeralds and more experience i burned all of the swords that i could for this and then just spent some more time hanging out with my villagers manny was my next one to get a visit i grabbed another mending book or two right now my resource trade basically seems to be farmers and clerics for emeralds and those emeralds go to manny he's gonna be the richest villager in the entire town pretty soon on day 225 centurion was the next item to get mending silky was next but i couldn't afford it on experience levels so i just popped the book aside and made myself a new set of diamond boots my previous ones had just recently broken i moved the dragoning from the lower area to this little end celebration trophy spot and then did a little bit of potion brewing to make sure that i wasn't going to die in the nether because i'm going to be heading over there very soon on day 226 i cleared out the spider blockages in my mob farm and then put down a few fence gates to get rid of the small blades of water that was allowing some mobs to escape i was attacked by skeletons and zombies and everything else falling down to kill me but i was really here for gunpowder combining that with the sand that i had had from the previous little trip and i'm gonna be able to make it oh no that's bad the mobs dropped down out of the sky from their death chamber immediately trying to kill me their captor i ran over and grabbed a few logs to build a couple additional campfires but on my way up was once again attacked this zombie got me down to half a heart at which point i yidded myself down into the ocean to recover my health coming back up i immediately tried to patch the holes to try to repair the situation but after not only one but two creepers blew up in front of my face on the platform it was time to go before i would end up dying here on day 227 i was heading to the nether because i have a few of my tools like centurion upgraded to netherrite but i really want them all to be looking amazing downing some fire resistance potions i dug a one wide tunnel in the nether and then set it all on fire so it would explode with tnt found a few ancient debris but not a ton just enough to do one upgrade and then with the experience on hand i set my diamond boots to be able to have mending no more shoes for me i'm good forever but both silky and nornfang were far too expensive levels are getting up into the 30s which means these two items are almost at end of life i gotta get mending on them asap on day 228 i crafted up some diamond blocks just to flex for a little bit and then pop the looter in for its repair and realize it was too expensive i wouldn't be able to take this pickaxe with me any further i named my shulker box for the valuables so that way i know which it is and i'm gonna be doing a lot more organization pretty soon for the things that had mending i popped over to the gold form to grab a few more resources as well as get everything repaired i love being able to do both at once i disenchanted and burned all the swords as is tradition pigmen i'm your number one enemy day 229 i have stopped by the unintentional iron farm and realized that there was just a one wide gap that they could jump through then it was time to take myself to church to get more emeralds this is pretty much how i'm going to be doing this as well as this guy who was stuck out of the back for some reason but was still willing to trade i grabbed all of the bamboo because i'm powering my super smelter by this now just because it's so satisfying and got forky and and got forky to be mending as well time for some trident hunting but i've got that dragon greed in me now i need more emeralds i need more gold so the morning of day 230 after crafting some more gold bars i started enchanting a new diamond helmet and with all of the books that i had this thing was getting pretty high here pretty quickly i made sure that i could breathe underwater and accidentally brought three respiration three books which is about two more than i'll ever need ever r.i.p those emeralds but i can always stop by the church to get more manny got a few of them to make this a respiration 3 mending prop 4 unbreaking 3 helmet and then i upgraded it to netherright so that way i can look like magneto i'm an awesome villain just ask my d d group but with over a stack of rockets and the urge to get flying i just picked a random direction and sailed off into the sunset i stumbled across you guessed it another village where there was not a lot here but just a few it's nice to know that there's other towns out there and slept here to get into day 231 where i found myself sailing across an ocean i found another desert village this one had a librarian and he was actually offering silk touch which is a great enchantment i don't have one of these back at home so i broke down almost all of my coal and traded it with their weaponsmith and then stole all of their hay and traded it back to their farmers to get a few silk touch books that's gonna be great i flew over another village that had nothing extensive to offer and then flew off over the desert finding another desert temple there's a bunch of diamonds here but what i was really after were the chiseled stones in the bottom ditto for temple number two that i discovered that day and then i continued my habit of couch surfing found a random desert village and slept in someone else's house day 232 i am still on the lookout while i found many villages what i really want is some pillagers specifically a pillager tower and while i did not find that i found this amazing double desert village this is the largest one i've seen outside of my valley and you knew i was gonna make a base here flying over it it's just about bigger than my town which for this to generate naturally was pretty cool i created another portal to hook that into the nether for faster travel and explored around their old abandoned nether portal potentially where those villagers all came from was pound half sunken in the ground with a gold block there that i just couldn't get yet but you know me i don't travel in the nether i travel in the void so i towered up found a spot where the barrier between planes was at its thinnest and ender pearled through making my way into the zone which by the way if you haven't seen seoul go watch it it's amazing i cried noting the coordinates for later i quickly returned home day 233 i crafted up a few more firework rockets to replenish the ones i had spent and then banked the tnt and other valuable items i also did some work organizing my inventory putting a bunch of things that i would need in remote locations into shoulder boxes i can actually use that to carry things around in proper hermitcraft style i sail back through the void to the exact coordinates that i had noted earlier and portaled my way back and it didn't quite link up i'm assuming i had done something wrong it was the middle of the night though so i had to fight off quite a few mobs including creepers so i just broke into somebody's else's house and goldilocks my way into their bed day 234 cleaning up the last bit of the stragglers i realized both of these portals linked to the one portal underground this was gonna get annoying so i broke one and then tried to ender pearl my way through the roof again [Music] that pause that pause is utter and total panic i'm concerned because i only had one ender pearl i'm at half health and i'm currently suffocating inside of a bedrock block i'm gonna let this play out with no commentary so you all can experience the same thing [Music] the mercy of minecraft to shunt me out of that block with just a few bits of health for mating i needed to take about five to ten minutes and take a very deep breath i returned to the village and took out that exhaustion and concern by demolishing houses honestly i don't know why i did that but i just did i chopped down a few trees to start building a house for myself but it wasn't finished so hey neighbor can i hang out with you for a bit day 235 still too nervous to walk through that portal i found a zombie pigman on my side hey what's up i created a little dirt patch and then started spamming trees for wood to be able to have resources i should really make that a little bit easier to do i'm going with a terracotta and oak palette for this build and i'm gonna be doing a lot of building in this village with these kinds of blocks basically switching them out from sandstone to something a little bit more colorful but it wasn't done so hey neighbor can i hang out with you for a bit day 236 my house is starting to look pretty good and i'm collecting all of the resources including leaves with my new silk touch hoe to be able to get a few things i flew around to the desert a little bit and found out i'm actually pretty close to pandora and i'm realizing how often i accidentally fly by or just miss some of these amazing points of interest in this world how much more we could have done or what would have been different with about 50 blocks in one direction or another just baffles me but in sailing around the desert city there were no pillager towers in sight unfortunately i flew my way back to the village fought off a few mobs just to get gunpowder and resources and then hey neighbor how are you doing something tells me he's not appreciating me sleeping in his house so it was time for me to leave again having grabbed one ender pearl from one of the endermen in the desert i'm like i can try again there's no way that that'll happen twice right wrong if i'm going to be going through i really need to make sure i have multiple thankfully i have a bunch of gold and there are a bunch of piglets here and piglens give ender pearl trades which there you go i'm set thankfully with my head suffocating inside a block all i had to do was pop another one and i had spawned up on the roof i re-linked the portal to the roof broke the one on the end and set a portal up some hundred blocks away in the nether flying through pandora i made my way back to the village just in time for a creeper to say no you're not leaving yet before i killed him with forky day 238 i condensed a lot of my resources into my house inside of the desert city which should really get a name maybe i'll name it in 400 days leave your ideas down in the comments i really really want to find a pillager tower i'm already over a third through this hundred days and i've yet to be able to trigger a single raid and i want some totems of undying for some of the higher tier things that i'm going to fight that could literally one-shot me i sailed out for another thousand blocks or so from the desert city before stopping somewhere and giving up i just turned to my compass pointed it towards home and started sailing some random torches caught my eye and i found myself back at the first sunken ship we had found back in the last chapter of this story from there i made my way to the mesa and realized i needed some more terracotta and some more gunpowder so i did a bunch of trident farming to just kill creepers with resources and mine out as much terracotta as i could as the sun rose on day 239 i had successfully decimated a few stacks of terracotta which was good but not great i'm always going to need more but i crafted up a few more rockets with the gunpowder that i had earned overnight and continued my flight back towards home i'm flying pretty much exactly as the compass needle points turning every now and again whenever i see land to try to find out oh my god it's a pillager tower i finally found one yes i immediately dropped to the ground and started murdering pillagers their crossbows could do nothing against my flame enchanted sword and bow i finally found one with a banner on his back and you know killing a hundred of them that didn't really seem to do much but killing that one dude that triggered bad omen which meant the next village i visited was getting raided i jumped in rockets and started heading home before realizing wait i can't go home my home is a village now i found a sunken ship suspended dozens of blocks above the water line in ice hollowed out an area and started collecting my resources and my thoughts day 240 i had a plan i had bad omen i knew roughly where my raid village was the one that i had already done and invested some time into building a wall around to be able to protect it i'm gonna combine the two and we're gonna beat a raid i sailed over the trees putting on some dnd battle music that i can't play for you because copyright but i have something appropriately epic running in the background aiming my compass just barely off to my left i knew that i would find my way to my raid village and then finding it and seeing it i sailed in and the raid bar started to grow i blockaded a few of my villagers inside of their homes to try to save them and then built some iron golems to protect the town on the interior area the wall and them would hopefully do their part but i was under equipped i wasn't ready to trigger a raid right away so i'm gonna have to run back to my base quickly i went into the nether and then rocketed my way through the nether highway collected all of what i could for resources for more arrows primarily because that's the combat i want to fight i picked off a few of the villagers on the outside of the wall and then built an interior wall because at one point they're gonna spawn inside of this wall probably the first few waves were simple but when the ravagers started to appear is where things got dangerous thankfully being able to set them on fire with bo fire from on top of the houses that sets me up well that was until wave 4 when they spawned inside wave 5 is where things got even more dangerous evokers powerful magic users that can summon vex that can phase through blocks and attack me from angles that there is no way to protect against as well as attack directly with magic if i happened to be on the ground at one point i was a single hit away from death so i downed a golden apple and held my shield trying to protect myself from these demonous little vultures i killed the evoker but this zombie stole the very first totem of a dying which existed in my world which they burned immediately when i killed them that feels that feels like i was cheated but thankfully there would be more more evokers and pillagers spawned on the next level and this one i picked up his totem but standing on the rooftops and firing arrows down is my go-to strategy as long as i have the high ground only a few of these enemies can actually damage me that is until there's a vex with a fire aspect sword and i'm on fire and burning and almost dead that scared me i grabbed a second totem from another one of the evokers and then continued pelting these attackers from over the wall i found a vindicator holding their banner axed raised ready to kill me i slayed them and the raid was complete [Music] while the villagers here were thankful i really wanted to get back to my home base to be able to collect all of the rewards see now i have hero of the village which means all trades are way cheaper as well as villagers throwing random items out at me and this is honestly a huge benefit i can collect a ton of gold and resources and potions and rare tipped arrows as well as a few maps that were thrown at me that at about the evening of day 242 after spending all day standing out in town square i finally inscribed them to get a view of my town from the sky this when you consider that this whole village was empty when we started is beautiful i threw one of the totems into my valuables chest and logged off at about one in the morning so high on adrenaline that i could barely sleep the morning of day 243 i continued trading with all of my villagers until hero of the village was exhausted i'll have to come back to that again after i've saved them once more i headed back to the nether to improve the collection on the gold farm with automatic sorting and item transport just to make that thing a lot easier to use i need a slime block though and i don't have one so after spending about 10 minutes at the end of the day to get the farm ready to go i went out to the closest swamp and i found a witch's hut but no slimes thankfully we had slime at home so i was able to get that in place to get the farm up and running using a slime block and an ice track you can send all of the items over multiple hoppers to filter them so that each vertical column of chests only has one class of thing in it basically i'm gonna have a gold chest and then a zombie flesh chest and it's gonna work really well except i am not good at redstone so despite setting up all of the filters and spending almost an entire minecraft day getting piglens killed to be able to recoup on all experience to repair all my stuff that had mending on it it just didn't work the redstone filters were non-functional everything was getting caught on the first hopper and just filtered down into the first chest i'm probably gonna have to come back and revisit this a little bit later but after spending you know 10 of the first 20 days on one farm i'm not about to do that again day 246 since looter is too expensive for me to actually be able to enchant it's time to create a new set of pickaxes both of the original ones got me this far but they're not going to get me any further i stopped by many to make sure that that would not be the case for the second round of pickaxes and luder er is the first one that i got fully set up then i went up to the upper level to do some more work on the upper vault and bookcases and get everything set up this base is starting to get a lot bigger and i put the new loot error pickaxe into work to make a large area for one of the biggest builds i'm gonna do yet i also put some time in to make sure everything was decorative embedding barrels and looms and other small decorative blocks inside of the bookcases and putting up different trophies from my playthrough thus far i ended this three-day marathon building session by accidentally putting the wrong block underneath one of my beehives and getting them all angry at me hopefully hopefully they'll forgive me soon day 249 i once again spent almost the entire day collecting wood except this time i actually put together a shulker box and i'm using that to collect all of the resources and to set up all of the different leaves this is something that i have to revisit about every 50 days or so and i need a heck of a lot of dark oak for the upper level because i want that entire area to just look like an extension of the village so not the most exciting day day 250 or is building this nice compass rose pattern in the upper level and i'm going to be moving my bedroom up here to just make myself a little bit further away from all of the working blocks i visited the gold farm which is still ridiculously broken just to get a little bit more gold and zombie flesh because i want to start getting golden blocks together i popped over to the sahara desert village and hey neighbor hey hey how you doing day 251 and i am totally not stalling for the wither fight don't you even dare say that time to do some work over in the desert base i want to create a central marketplace and condense this city down while it was large and sprawling i basically want all of the town to exist in a small fortress around and then have a bunch of aesthetic but non-actual villager houses further out not to make it for raids or anything i just want this to be a cool little build that i work on that's terra cotta and leaves and highly dense think agrabah day 252 i continued working on that collecting all of the oak and we're going to build all of the pathways out of wood as well i was going to use red sand but i just think that's even that much extra i continued converting houses from sandstone to terracotta just to make them really stand out against the ground and accidentally stabbed one of my new neighbors while fighting zombies at night that's gonna take a little bit to work on day 253 it was extremely important that i filled this hole in front of the nether portal because you can't just having that it's gonna be a danger okay okay okay i'm stalling let's go fight the wither but before that i'm very quickly gonna go ahead and link the pillager tower into my nether portal network this way when i die as part of the wither fight you all can make your way to the pillager tower still and continue on with all of the resources set there for you i explored the ravine here because even though i said i'm not stalling i'm still gonna totally stall for just a little bit longer and grabbed a few more diamonds to really improve my wealth but after a few creeper explosions it was time to head out and head home day 254 i fixed that one part of the base that has been broken since about day 80 because i had nothing to do with it and made what will become a new enchanting area as long as i survived i traded with all of my priests in gold and zombie flesh converting all of that into hard earned emeralds and using that with a few of the other villagers in town to grab a few books and doing some enchanting on some blank books in my base to upgrade my boots to maximum defense levels one final base edition before the training montage can begin however and i made an elytra landing pad to the upper area of the base so that i no longer need to touch the ground to really enter like i said i am flying everywhere it's the best thing in minecraft don't take this away from me when the phantoms attacked on the night of 254 however i took that as a hint and head inside to go to bed day 255 i originally wanted to fight the weather on day 250 but you know stalling so we have about five days to get ready to have this fight happen and i'm gonna spend all of them to make sure i am well prepared i know i could just kill the wither by wedging it into the bedrock portal in the end and that would be functional but not great for a video instead we're fighting this thing in an open field but i'm not gonna be fighting alone [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] all right it's time to risk everything i teleported over towards the pillar tower sailing my way across to an open flower field that i had found some time before because i kind of want to get some weather roses while i'm at it and this land is so far away it's not at risk of breaking anything while sailing over the open waters i stumbled across an ocean monument and took notes of these coordinates for later if i survive this fight we're gonna come back here and do this one as well this video landing late at night i prepared my allies constructing them in the middle of this field and allowing them to run rampant i grabbed my potions and the morning of day 261 the wither was unleashed on the world now the mechanics of the wither boss fight is whenever it damages something else that health is recouped back into the creature itself and it's hostile to all other mobs everything which means the snowmen that i had summoned were basically distractions and sacrifices but there were also normal spawning peaceful mobs around here that were totally gonna die and i'll collect their bodies and eat them later don't worry the first phase of this fight is best handled by bowing them from a distance but every time i was hit with one of those explosive wither attacks i flew away to be able to gain escape and recoup some of my health the wither effect will kill you if you are not careful and this is you know what it's named after flying through the sky i did a straight run and sword attacked it from behind angering it and dropping it into its second face this is where it drops down to the ground and prefers to say in melee range despite it still using its explosive attacks against you the wither effect was near continuous as every third skull would reapply it onto my body centurion at my side i spammed attacks which was probably not the most effective but with strength and the power of the sword itself the wither was vanquished dropping a powerful item the first netherstar in my world i spent a little bit of time running around to collect the wither roses because they are extremely useful for farms and other defenses for my base and then flew back over the ocean over the mountains and towards the portal to my pillager tower returning home and dropping down a bunch of the gold that i've been collecting and not trading a portion of every single time i visited that gold farm and i already have a tier 2 beacon in the middle of my base that beam of light cuts up in an infinite direction and now as long as i can see the chunk in which my bases are loaded i will know exactly how to find home this is for all intents and purposes a successful run we have done almost everything in the game but just because you've killed an evil demon god does not mean your chores don't get to not get done and collected honey from my bees and continued on the digging journey throughout the vault area i visited the gold farm with all of its broken redstone and attempted to change things up a little bit making this piston fire just a little bit less often i also reconfigured all the filters doubled up on all the chests and after a day of farming well it still doesn't work i have apparently a lot of learning to do i collected all of the spoils traded all the zombie flesh collected all the gold and some of the pillagers apparently followed me through the nether because they appeared at my base so i tried and killed a few and let the iron golems get a little bit of fun and eliminate the captain i made my second silk touch pickaxe the silkier version and had that with mending as well so that it will never break i traded with all my villagers to grab a few more emeralds just to increase my wealth and then stopped by the sugarcane slash iron golem farm i'm really gonna have to fix this day 264 despite not being good at redstone i did my best to release the iron golems from the farm and get them set up to the upper area and then i realized that the chest in front was probably how they were just walking in so i sunk that down into the ground and this problem is probably solved grabbed another mending book from manny so almost all my gear is set up near the end of the day i moved the beacon from where i'd initially placed it to on top of the mountain so that the haste effect that i have it emitting actually reaches me where i'm working and 264 had to call it a night pretty much there day 265 i popped on critical role and just kept digging a hole i realized this could be made in world edit in about 30 seconds on my minecraft server but this is my hardcore world and you gotta do it the old-fashioned way it wasn't completely boring though at one point i forgot to light it up so a bunch of creepers spawned and tried to attack me but other than that it was a relatively quiet day day 266 i made another ender chest because i had accidentally broken one so i spent some time naming all of my shulker boxes and then just watched as somebody walked his way through my base holding stuff i spent the end of the day moving my enchanting area from being right next to the storage space to this spot a little bit further down that i had made just before the wither fight because i now want to store my shoulder boxes right next to all of the other chests putting kind of all the storage in one place hopefully that makes sense day 267 the freeloader in my house was still here so i you know handled it and then flew back to the mob farm dropping down that ender chest just to have a spare to start collecting more gunpowder for tnt i had about a half a stack of tnt after the farm running for about 15 minutes which is most of the minecraft day but before going to bed this day i ran home and traded in all the zombie flesh and the string with my fletchers so this thing is going to be even more profitable day 268 i returned to the mesa biome to collect a lot more terracotta i have a few more spare shulkers from some shells i found while organizing my chests so i use them to get almost a full shulker of chests that is the scale which we are operating on for most of our builds i explored the above ground abandoned mine shafts and did some aerial and trident hunting to just get more used to using forkey but don't worry i just old fashioned stab some things in the face too day 269 why are you laughing i found a sunken ship and started the day with some light treasure hunting with fortune on a shovel you basically make infinite flint whenever you dig up a patch of gravel which is nice i can't complain but this chest took like 10 minutes to find it was not where that x said it was i spent some time collecting all the resources and then rocketed my way back to the base flying in and seeing this with the beam going i just love this valley spent a little bit more time organizing the inventories around here named a few more shulker boxes and then continued digging on the vault day 270 i was collecting all of the different kinds of wood to make sure that tree's shulker box was nice and well stocked and spent some times on re-upping all of the farms and pumpkins and melons and trading them with my farmers to collect more emeralds i'm at the point where i think all of my gear is mending so i don't need emeralds for that but i do want to be storing a lot of my valuables and i can't just have a measly little two emerald block pile what would luke think but i felt ongoing on a little trip since you know i can't in real life so i headed over to the desert village plopped down a bed and instead of sleeping with my neighbors i'm pretty sure they changed the locks so i'll sleep here day 271 is building more houses in the desert village i really want to go for a bizarre agrabah stacked houses sort of vibe for this place and with it all being terracotta on top of the sand it really stands out a lot more than when it's sandstone and blends in with the background i moved the villagers beds and work blocks so they would pathfind to new areas and start condensing down the overall size of the city i want this to be tall not wide i spent some time trying to fix the well and believe me the fixing water boss of minecraft is far harder than the wither could ever be and found that the zombies had infected one of my new citizens while i wasn't looking i did what i could to trap him into a boat to get him cured which would give me better trades by the way hmm maybe i should do that some more but a creeper popped in the boat which made this a little bit of a hostage situation and he loved to bite on my shoulders when i was driving the boat around so instead of risking a sneak attack from a second mob while this was going i went to sleep in the morning my new zombie villager friend was on fire because i'm an idiot and forgot how minecraft works i did what i could to try to steer them underneath some blocks thinking that that would cast shade but it wasn't enough and they disappeared i'm gonna just not tell anybody else about this and tear down his house like it was never here spend some more time on setting up trees and this monstrosity of leaves just looks ridiculous and put all the wood to use on building floors and details and doors and fences and all of my effort was going well see the economy is booming traders are coming to town again i worked through the night and made a little harry potter village house underneath the stairs to one of the upper levels and that was just a nice successful day finishing up on day 273 i was popping down all the beds and doors and my unintentionally ikea shulker box row before flying back to the gold farm to even though the filters don't work just to get a lot more gold and a lot more zombie flush i really want to finish this beacon if possible before the end of this hundred days god am i bad at redstone and these filters just don't work but i burned all the swords as is tradition or at least i tried to but my super smelter was basically out of fuel so i had a re-up on all of the bamboo oh so satisfying several times throughout the day and also set up all the gold bars into gold blocks to be able to increase the size of the beacon which allowed me to increase the bottom level from a five by five to a seven by seven but i didn't have enough to complete the pyramid all the way up on the morning of day 275. i once again sold body parts for money and then went over to the potion brewing area to finish off a hole in the floor which had existed for almost 100 days i grabbed a few specific potions strength and night vision as well as some milk from the cows and you might have an idea where i'm heading right now sailed off from the pillager tower down to night vision so i could see underwater and dove down it's time to take on the ocean monument first priority was somewhere to breathe there are multiple bosses in this area that prevent your ability to break blocks but if i could get in here quick enough i could make an air pocket inside of the structure before they would prevent me from breaking dirt and lucky for me i was able to do it just in time before the mining fatigue kicked in i was however boxed inside of a corner so i had to drink my first of three buckets of milk to clear the mining fatigue just so i could leave i mined into the vault and found that it was full of gold blocks which is an added benefit for increasing the size of my beacon also it has dark prismarine which is my favorite block ever trust me if you've been on my minecraft server you know as the day rolled over to 276 creating multiple of these air pockets is essential to make sure i don't drown i have a respiration 3 helmet which is great and greatly increases the amount of time that i can spend underwater but it doesn't turn me into a fish i still eventually need to surface and breathe in some air the laser beams of the guardians are no joke and do a lot of damage plus when you attack them with melee it does a little bit of damage as well doors also work to create air pockets that's old old-school minecraft right there but also now you know mario is trying to get so used to working with forkey tridents are not affected by the water and are perfect for long-range combat in an ocean monument i downed a few potions for regeneration and strength and then fought the first of three elder guardians these are bigger badder versions of the same mob that hit harder and are the things that imbue you with the mining fatigue potion effect they're also the only thing in the world that drops sponges and after circling my way around this column with the first one i took them down heading my way to the back forkie being just this awesome weapon i loved doing this so much throwing it over and over no reload just waiting for it to return i was able to pick off most of the guardians and then swing in with centurion to do a lot more damage the second elder guardian fell without much ceremony and then i had to set up another little breathing hole i used torches this time to just continuously make a bubble of air that i was able to breathe how that works i don't know but it's minecraft that's fun and briefly had a window where i was able to mine through a wall to shortcut my way around to the uppermost area the third guardian was at the highest point of the tower and through more trident spam and more sword spam it was also defeated that was right around two minecraft am so day 277 i did what i could once the potion effect had worn off to drain this upper area the sponges aren't dry yet so they're not usable so i used dirt to just build in and then dig away setting up all the water from top to bottom to make sure i had some dry ish land to stand on but i love sponges in minecraft just pop one down and all water in a 5x5 space is just gone it's just such a cool mechanic i used the combination of dirt scaffolding and sponges to set up a glass dome on the top of this tower so that i'd be able to see out into the water and just maintain the structure and the vibe while making a new base which took almost a full day and then on day 278 i was finally able to drain the last bit of water i set up signs and doors to hold the water back because physics so i could both rock it and swim out of this upper area then i spent some time collecting the eight gold blocks as well as over a full stack of dark prismarine to be able to use it for building by the time knight had rolled around i sailed over to what i thought would work as an underwater source of obsidian and then nah that wouldn't work and got a little bit turned around and found another pillager tower not the one i had originally escaped from and in landing on it there was a village right here i sailed over and it looked quite interesting so i slept here for the night when i woke up on the morning of day 279 i realized that the layout of this village was pretty interesting and that also i had been here before this ravine right through the middle seemed eerily familiar and something tells me i visited this place in 200 days how i missed that tower i have no idea but i did some light terraforming to make that upper area impossible to climb i think you have an idea what i'm about to do so i popped over to the pillager tower to see what was up and if they had an iron golem they didn't i swung around and grabbed a few creepers for gunpowder and was attacked by a child with a tiny iron spoon i ran away because i don't want to die like filza before finding the portal near the first of these pillager towers and heading back to my base i upgraded centurion for probably the final time to looting 3. grabbed a few more potions to prepare for a little bit of combat and headed back over and assaulted the pillager tower this time it only took like four pillagers to get bad omen something tells me they're gonna be angry and they're not gonna have to go far it was raid time without a wall this was a lot more dangerous but also i felt a lot more prepared this time around having been through the encounter a first time i used this tree and the upper mountain as my main areas of attack as well as the water that surrounded this town on three sides to slow down raveners and pillagers that i could just bow them from about 20 blocks away and be fine evokers i attacked from the upper areas and i'd made sure to clear my corners whenever i was moving around i stunted on them a little bit doing some different drive-bys but before some regular old zombies attacked me through most of the night and i couldn't find the last pillager turns out it was an indicator who had fallen down into the ravine and this isn't the last time this happened but before bowing the more dangerous enemies from on top of the tree and the dumber ones that had fallen down into the ravine this place felt pretty safe and when i killed the last of indicator hovering on a single block stuck above a ravine with nothing they could do i unceremoniously completed my second raid the villagers here were thankful but of course word travels faster than i can so i headed back home to enjoy hero of the village at my home base i dropped down a ton of beds to increase the number of villagers that will be spawning and use the iron to repair my iron golems who do hard work to protect the villagers who will trade almost anything for money i grabbed over a full stack of emeralds that night before getting attacked by a creeper while collecting all of my bamboo and then made a new chest in the base for all of the ocean monument goodies the 282 i walked out my front door and was once again attacked by a bunch of randoms with crossbows i feel like i'm playing rust but i gotta say watching the iron golems throw them up into the air will never get old but as long as i have hero of the village basically standing in the middle of the town and trading with villagers is the smartest thing to be doing right now so i spent almost the entire day working on that day 283 i want to actually start working on this place because we're getting dangerously close to the end and it's not looking good yet dropping in terra cotta and dark oak and building out all of the bookcases so that we can store all of our trophies and successes up here using the tried and true nature of look up place block i worked on all of the ceiling and started integrating the dark prismarine as well as some smooth stone because this big room is going to be a vault i started working on the overall structure of this breaking out all of the regular stone floor for smooth stone and prismarine with some sea lanterns to just make sure you know it's not also a mob farm in the morning of day 284 where i've set up four primary platforms for resources that i want to display here i used stone bricks to get the whole thing looking a little bit more secure and then was once again attacked by a bunch of random pillagers out front of my door i think they found out where i live and they're trying to send a message of me attacking multiple of their towers but you know what i'll take it to them heading off to the ocean monument to collect more dark prismarine i was going to make another portal inside of the monument itself but it just wasn't tall enough so i set up the island close by with a lot of torches and made another portal for this i didn't light though i made the coordinates and then headed back over to the second of the two raid villages to sleep there through the night no one lives in that house though so it's okay the next morning i was flying over and committed the cardinal sin of running making a bunch of obsidian so i could place another portal in the nether then dividing by eight i made another portal on the roof of the nether and portal through to end up at my ocean monument everything linked just nicely using sponges i cleared out all of the water in the area and then collected a lot of the dark prismarine that i could find you can craft this as well but for right now i don't have an effective way of farming guardians just killing them as i see them which i spent the whole day doing and then i headed back home to put these resources to work i started day 286 collecting all of the pumpkins that i have set up for trades as well as the bamboo to power my super smelter dropped off all of the gold blocks to make my beacon just a little bit bigger and almost ready for the next layer and then started using the dark prismarine to make my vault look awesome i'm making all these little alcoves in the corner and details that look like locks to combine the whole thing up set scaffolding on the ceiling to give it a more industrial look and just started working on the small details this isn't a huge build in area but the detail level is much higher than anything i've done yet using stone cutters and bashing out all the walls repeatedly i also started digging up on the ceiling to make sure that the scaffolding wasn't the top and there was actually space above it i ran downstairs to grab all of my resources then popped down a somewhat pitiful amount of diamond blocks and a whole lot of lapis like i need to make the roof even higher amount of lapis plus all of the gilded blackstone i just love the way that block looks even if it's not ridiculously rare and standing at the entrance to this vault it's starting to come together just 12 days to go in this chapter of the adventure though and i want to make sure we're leading up to something good i headed over to the nether with my golden cap on and then went to visit a few of my new piglet buddies i grabbed all of their gold blocks because stealing from your fence is fine but they noticed so i ran but thankfully they have a short-term memory grab that gilded blackstone like i mentioned cause i love to see it and a lot more gold blocks they're gonna be funding my beacon enhancements also silk touched all of the gold nugget ore that's available here in the nether and just flew around a little bit hunting all of the ghasts i could find using looterer to repair silkier on all of the nether ores that i had pulled out i was able to fully complete the bottom two levels of the beacon nice day 289 i flew over to one of the nether fortresses that i now know of in the nether this is the one that's closest to the initial spawn and has several different crossroads close together which means a very high rate of wither skeletons spawning with looting three on my sword these creatures dropping their skulls is that much more common so i spent the majority of the day hunting them around and doing what i could to make sure i didn't get withered while fighting them for a while there was nothing and then it was two skulls back to back on two different kills also doing what i can to attack gas to harvest their tears and kill all the blazes so they stopped setting me on fire once i had three wither skulls though it was immediately back home because i'm running out of time for this finale yeah this is gonna be good but i had mined out a ton of gold ore while i was also there which i built up in a vertical column to the sky and then realized that i should probably move this beacon however i used all the gold ore though to build a column pillared up to stand and look out on my valley i don't have anything this high up where i have this kind of vantage point and i would normally have to fly to do this so it felt good to just stand here for a second and take it in i'll tell you what felt equally as good mining all of those gold ore blocks to get down into a lower vault area which i'm starting to hollow out to contain the beacon inside the vault itself day 291 i was decorating that space because i'm a sucker for aesthetics even if we're tight on time the beacon is now hovering in the air because i wanted to make sure it fits in its nine by nine form when it's fully completed and i used quartz to make all the walls look nice to just complete the effect day 292 someone just randomly spawned in my house again how rude and i set up the beacon beam as my favorite color if you might not have noticed i also want to store some different things in this vault so i started making little alcoves in the walls and then went back for some casual chicken murder to grab a few more feathers and food and then fought some different endermen to be able to collect their pearls with looting three i really only needed to kill two of them which in all honesty is just really nice but the mobs don't like that i don't play with them anymore so they ended up blowing each other up but i headed back home and crafted all the end crystals that i had remaining day 293 getting more used to fighting in the sky i popped over to my mob farm to start collecting a lot more gunpowder again i want to fly forever but i also quickly needed to head back to base and pop over to the nether because i realized i was one gas tier short thankfully that was a quick visit i then dropped every flower that i've currently collected inside of the vault i don't know if i have them all but there's another small detail of a complete collection in the game that i want to make sure i have done day 294 i stood on my bed and looked out on the city that i had created because it's time for another finale this base is just something that i'm super proud of as well as this mob farm i built a little tree growing platform off the side of this mob farm while it ran behind me so i could actually have something to do i would usually check the chests compulsively crafting each individual piece of gunpowder into rockets as it would come through and i realized that was probably not healthy so this way i'm getting two things done at once i grabbed all of the potions that i had set brewing and started making additionals to make sure that i was fully equipped for the battle to come the 295 i fed grunts and gave him a little pet popped over to the gold form to repair all of my materials and then started crafting the finale of this video it's gonna be a good one whatever final resources i had gathered before this climactic battle were dropped into the vault and everything was prepared at the home base for you to visit when this video is done day 296 i grabbed as many arrows as i could spare portaled my way over to the stronghold base and jumped into the end dropped down the end crystals and set up the wither statue i grabbed all of my extra lives because i want to make sure i have them and then set the finale into motion spawning both a ender dragon and a wither at the same time it's amazing how well i almost timed that i immediately took to the sky primarily focusing my fire on the wither because it felt like the far more dangerous target as that was actually aggressive towards me the ender dragon really just wants to be left alone but as i was sailing around killing the end crystals i immediately broke my first totem and earned the postmortal achievement that's not a great start but i did feel like john wick as i took out four n crystals in a single rocket that was amazingly satisfying watching how much damage each of my bow hits do on the weather remind me of just how strong i have become over the last three centuries here in minecraft but my foes were equally as dangerous with their effect constantly knocked off my aim that i was unable to properly target them as well as their sapping of health from other targets around this world first time i got the wither down to its aggressive state it just flew away and targeted a bunch of endermen while i was fighting the enderdragon in the center of the island and then once the weather targeted on the dragon itself it basically healed itself up to full i made this a lot more complicated than i thought once both of my targets were completely immune to bo fire i jumped underneath the ender dragon and struck her from below getting thrown aside like i was not a threat she obviously didn't learn from her previous lives the ultimate goal is to have them both killed at about the same time so i didn't want to get the ender dragon's health too low i want to try to line this up as an awesome finale but in all honesty it feels like it could just go on infinitely so i readied my bow and eliminated the dragon from the fight now i just have one foe to worry about the first hit panicked me into eating a golden apple while i watched the dragon and vaporize into a cloud of light flying through and bowing the enemy as i made individual strafing runs once it was angry i grabbed a golden apple ran over to where it was and started swinging my sword filled with bloodlust and just swinging away i failed to notice my health continuously ticking downwards the wither effect slowly sapping me of my energy and in the last moment the totem in my other hand shattered saving me from an untimely death i'm really glad i have these but with both foes defeated i built a platform and threw a pearl through yet another end nexus day 298 i head off to raid and end city because i need just a few more resources and trophies to end this video off i grabbed a few more shulker shells because more of those is always a good thing and a dragon head from the bow of the ship there's almost a full block worth of diamonds in these chests which is nice for the treasure room and the elytro will look great named up in the base on day 299 i used the resources that i had just collected to light up the interior of the vault with an aesthetic that was appropriately grand i compressed the diamonds into blocks to make that pile look just a little bit better and named several different key items to commemorate my successes my first raid the first time i killed the dragon and my first time taking flight this upper level is a memoir to our accomplishments and hopefully we'll have to expand with time as we continue moving forward on the morning of day 300 i took grunts out from his perch and walked him around town said hello to most of my villagers and stopped by the church for just one more visit jumped on horse number three and rode around the city in a celebratory lap as night began to set and the day was nearly over i took to the sky sailing over treetops and soaring my way through mountains my world had survived yet another chapter in this fantastic story 300 days in minecraft all in a single life i landed on the upper platform dropped my items in a chest next to my bed and went to rest until i would be called forth again and that my friends is the third chapter in my story in hardcore minecraft we've accomplished so much in the last six months and three videos it's hard to think what we will do next but there's not a question in my mind that this story will continue if you've watched this video all the way
