I spent a week in darkness, here's what I saw

The original title of the video is misleading, he didn't experience anything out of the ordinary. At least nothing he was willing to admit. His intent was to benefit a charity (if I remember right, I watched this last week). He busied himself with doing ordinary things in the dark: playing the guitar, attempting to run on a treadmill, microwaving water for dehydrated food etc.

And thinking about what he would do when he got out of that dark space, I think he said he'd never turn the lights off again or something.

I consider this a piece of corroborating proof that without the right intent, even in prime conditions, nothing untoward happens. He never loosened his A.P. because he never silenced his monologue enough, or at all, even though he made a show of meditating during the whole affair.

One bright point was when he recognized the thought "what are you trying to do in here? why don't you just give up and go home" (or words to that effect), and said "BEGONE THOUGHT!"

That might actually work, at least for a short while. A very short while.

Also, if you want to move the assemblage point on a "bad day", where you have silence, but the colors are scrambled (barely visible, and filled with "pressures"), Tensegrity is the most reliable thing.

It's the flow! Along with visibly seeing the energy it pushes around, the flow invokes a deeper level of silence.

But Tensegrity can include just the systematic scooping of concentrated colors you can find. Fairy taught me that early on. Just look around and clear the air into your torso.

Such as in this passage of a long form:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt7n2273_PU&t=5m22s

It's at 5:22 if your browser didn't go to the right spot.

You DO NOT have to jump up into the air! I once heard Carlos comment to one of the inner circle women, that he just liked seeing the stiff Europeans jump up into the air. He felt it was good for them. But otherwise, the jumping doesn't significantly contribute to anything. You'd be better off with "mashing energy", if you wanted more of that component.

Carlos was a genius! Or perhaps, he could see really well.

He got criticism for the Tensegrity, and I've heard that off in the free for all subreddit they've decided Tensegrity is evil.

Anything to get out of work.

But in fact, it DOES redeploy energy, as long as you bring the puffs onto your torso.

It also lures out inorganic beings, who are intrigued by the possibility you're going to make your dreaming double solid.

You don't even have to stand up and walk around. I highly recommend that, only because you'll fall asleep after more than an hour, if you don't walk around.

Although, making circles with the feet on the ground also has a good effect. So the jumping isn't without some benefit.

Bottom line: When you get REALLY good at darkroom gazing, as in you look around and you're in an antique mall on the other side of the galaxy, don't forget your tensegrity when you're having a bad day.

New people in here: Yes, you can relocate to the other side of the galaxy! We aren't kidding.

It's called, "translocation" and you'll find examples in the wiki. Try the "Detailed Illustrations" section.

I used to use words only in my posts, then got some complaints my posts were too long to read.

And I then remembered, Carlos resorted to at least one painting at the end, when he had run out of time to teach us. He'd already explained that topic several times, but the painting got everyone excited.

(They still never put in the time to duplicate it.)

Well, darkness is only first attention at the ordinary position!

This guy probably didn't do anything else than non-stop thinking

- [Crowd] Four, three, two. - For the next week I will be in complete darkness, starting now. There are three rooms. The first room has a tent, dehydrated food, a microwave, and headphones. The second room has a treadmill. Third room has a toilet and shower. All light bulbs have been removed. Infrared cameras invisible to the human eye are streaming 24/7. My first reason for doing this is to raise money for the Atlanta Children's Shelter. (gentle music) My second reason for doing this is. The first thing I did was meditate. I forgot to start the timer. (laughs) Okay, now we begin. All right friends. I will see you whenever I wake up. (chuckles) I don't have a clock in here. I only know how long I've been in. (zipper zipping) Hello friends. I figure it's a good idea to create a schedule that may help for things to feel more stable. (treadmill whirring) (laughing) Conscious representations of pixels sent across the world via satellite. (gentle music) The rest of the day has been spent creating worlds and stories in my mind. It is the year 2029. Within the metaverse there are hackers. There are players. I think my body thinks it's night 'cause I'm extremely tired. (ticking) (soft music) I had my first thought for a quick second on the treadmill. It was like you miss seeing stuff. You miss your family. Get out of here. What are you doing, and then I just recognized it as a thought and I said be gone thought. Be gone thought. (upbeat music) I'm in (laughing) (upbeat music) (clears throat) In the grand scheme of things, this is a pretty good set up, so I have to keep that in check, like not to fall into like oh, woe is me, you know, but I got a bed. I got good food and I got a shower, right. That's really all you need. (zipper zipping) Is someone there? One of the office neighbors did not know I was streaming. That was my first human contact. I guess back in the dark I must go. (treadmill whirring) (guitar strumming) Today I wanna talk about the idea of cloning the brain. Is it possible? It's either three p.m. or four p.m. or five p.m. EST. It's one of those I think. All right, here's where I'm at, going through like ebbs and flows. Sometimes I feel content, at peace. Other times I dip into levels of like slight panic, like oh my gosh, I have so many more hours ahead of me. I can't do this, and then other times I'm like okay, you got this. Just take it one hour at a time, you know. (crunching) (soft music) (treadmill whirring) You lookin' at me? You lookin' at me? What are you lookin' at? You lookin' at me? (sultry music) (clinking) Oh no, oh no, where did I just drop that? (sultry music) Oh no. (sultry music) There was no differentiation between yesterday and today. Only present space. (sultry music) Then the stream went offline. My ethernet cable is not working anymore, so what I'm gonna do is put on a blindfold, grab the camcorder, try to go upstairs, grab the wi-fi adapter, and come back down without seeing any light. Recording, going in to the light, the remaining, I'm going into the light but I won't be seeing anything. Gonna try to find the wifi adapter. Okay, that's my desk, wifi adapter. (tapping) There it is, I got it. I got the wifi adapter. (chuckles) Yes. (chuckles) Okay, now I gotta not fall down the stairs. And we're back. Uranus Monkey asks what's the hardest thing for you in there? I think just being awake. The gap between sleep, the gap when I'm not, anytime that I'm not sleeping, it's like I just wanna be sleeping, you know, 'cause there's nothing to do. (chuckles) Then they informed me there was a mouse roaming. Is there freaking a mouse? Is there actually a mouse in here? I don't like this. (soft music) I guess we can talk about various waterbottle types. (soft music) Of course you got the Nalgene, sort of the standard. It is like night right now, it's, it is very dark. (soft music) No shiz Sherlock. Of course it's dark. (clicking) I think this is probably the high point. This is one of the high points. I feel content, you know. Feel all right, feel all right. Hopes are high right now. The goal is to go into the unknown, find something, whether it be finding something about oneself, or finding a piece of information that one can share. Looking forward to eating Chinese at a Chinese buffet mostly. (chuckles) I've been dreaming of an all you can eat Chinese buffet all week (chuckles). So I'm definitely gonna do that on Tuesday. (soft music) (zipper zipping) Last day. Oh man. I can't wait. I can't wait to leave. I think I'm gonna keep the lights on for the rest of my life. (rustling) Dang it. (beeping) (soft music) (chuckles) Dang it. So it's long hours or it's like, all right, it's two p.m., you know, what do I do now? I've already taken a nap. I'm not that tired. I've been listening to a freaking audio book for five hours straight. I don't think I can listen to one more chapter. What do I do for five hours until I can sleep again? (chuckles) I can see the finish line. Almost there. (soft music) Almost. (soft music) That's one thing I wanna, I wanna (soft music) take out of this is (soft music) the importance of that, you know. (soft music) Like finding the core of you. (soft music) Not worrying about the past. Not worrying about the future. Just being aware of the present. (soft music) That was very nice. (soft music) And the nice thing about that is you can do that anywhere, you know. Just close your eyes, man. (chuckles) It's that easy. Close your eyes. Focus on your breath. In and out. (exhales) One (exhales), two (exhales), three up to ten then back to one. If you do that for a few minutes (soft music) you'll be zenned out, man. If you do that every day, did I find the meaning of life in here? Yes. It's 42. What is it? 14, 13, 12, 11, ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, and one. Let there be light. Oh my gosh. (rustling) Oh my gosh. It's so bright. It's perfectly aligned. (chuckles) I can see the sun. (clanking) (dramatic music) Ah yes. The sun, the sun. It's so bright. (cheerful music) Colors are so vibrant, so vibrant. Like this, a fake plant looks so green right now. (cheerful music)
