time I'm going to bring it back to you guys because what I'm going to be doing today is I'm going to be judging your anime tastes in case you do not know know what a 3X3 is it is a panel of as it sounds three anime by three anime and I love viewing people's 3x3 because viewing people's 3x3 is a little bit different from viewing their my anime list or viewing some other form of list where you they've ranked all their anime cuz with 3x3 you only get nine places right every single place counts and with you having to make the choice of putting nine shows on your list or on your 3x3 you can normally get a sense of what that kind of person is what their tastes are and uh what kind of shows they gravitate towards I'm going to be judging your 3x3 and if your 3x3 intrigues me if your taste intrigues me I might have a look at you my anime list as well and see what your entire history of anime is like I want to see the real you you okay I don't want you to go to your list and get every 10 out of 10 that is on your list okay I I don't want I don't want you to go through your entire history of anime and go hm okay uh this was a 10 out of 10 I watched this 10 out of 10 I watched that 10 out of 10 I watched that 10 out of 10 because you have nine spots and I don't want you to pick the most critically acclaimed anime or highly rated anime that you've seen I want to know the shows and anime that Define you as a person the shows an anime that maybe you are your guilty pleasure maybe have changed you as a person maybe you really really like but you don't like admitting in your first feeling you're a newish anime fan and I don't say completely new I say new compared to someone like me I'm I'm going to guess that you got into anime at near the end of the 2000s that's what I'm going to guess maybe in the 2010s even you know every everyone has to have one basic show on there I'll let it pass cyber Punk Edge runners okay I'm seeing that you like a lot of sci-fi so you got the triple whammy of Steines gate cyber Punk and Gundam the witch from Mercury what really interests me weathering with you really really do you think that that is out out of all the shinkai films that was the best one I thought that was possibly his messiest film of all I would put weathering with you in like the bottom two shinkai films on my level to me it tried to recreate the magic of your name and it was like your name wasn't a masterpiece by any standards but this I thought was uh way Messier having said that maybe you just like messy shows in particular cuz Japan sinks really been watching since 2017 ah ah okay okay okay checks out checks out wethering you is the best anime ever made no no [Music] no okay okay that is an opinion so explain to me Japan sinks and high school DJ girls uh Japan sinks 2020 is absolutely amazing the scene that gets me every time is the track star racing the ocean all right one thing I will admit about Japan sinks is that it is four out of 10 show with 10 out of 10 moments in it and respect to you for being able to go move past the four out of 10 like most like 90% of the show because there are some scenes in Japan sinks that out of nowhere hit like a truck and most of that is based on I think the direction but some sometimes I thought it was just going to be a normal disaster movie and then sometimes it turned into a comedy uh one of the hardest I laughed in the year of 2020 was seeing a child die that's going to get clipped if you know what I mean the scene where just just it's so funny it's it's so funny the scene where the rock falls on the kid's head and and he dies was one of the most unintentionally funny scenes I've seen in a very very long time respect to you for being able to ignore some of like the other mess of Japan sinks agree with you the uh ocean scene was incredible and there are some absolutely Banger scenes in Japan sinks everything else on here makes absolutely perfect sense thank you very much avocado 2002 this honestly is a pretty respectable list um can I make an assumption if you're still on the line please don't be offended I'm going to try and guess your age from this all right because what I can Garner from this list that you like good anime you like good anime that's what I can Garner on this list I don't think you're below the age of 25 I do not think that you are in your 20s I believe that you're at least 30 and and here's the thing I think that you possibly grew up in the same era that I grew up in in terms of anime perhaps you got in through your cowboy bbops through your FY coonies uh all a lot of these are like the tunami era kind of shows not the tunami The Adult Swim kind of era shows and you watch The Adult Swim era shows and then you discover shows like Steines gate AA Fruits Basket which I'm guessing you watch cuz it's a remake of the original Fruits Basket Nana also amazing show as well and then these two shows are just kind of like the Wild Card of you going hm maybe I should look for something outside of my comfort zone and go explore uh to some older anime I'm going to guess you're older than me but not that much older I'm going to guess that you are about 35 a few moments later I'm actually in my 20s bro bro get the out no oh I was so wrong I was so wrong I watch M ikoku and mcross with my mom so that's why I have them holy cultured mom man
