most popular anime of all time I took the top 50 most popular anime from my anime list which you can see here the top ranking is even though it's on the most popular list it is not popular enough it should be even more popular uh the second tier ranking is deserved mid-ranking is you know slightly overhyped slightly overrated but you know there are some good things about that I can see why it got popular uh then we get to the really this is on the list why why is this on a list and then the last ranking is of course why the is this here so this this won't technically be the most popular anime of all time in like modern day culture but I think it's a good barometer about what people have been watching within like especially within the years of 2003 to now Dragon Ball Z Peak anime when he said I'm balling I wish Goku said that man I wish we need balls we are starting things off with Attack on Titan wa we're going to start things off with a hot take you know what this is the number one most popular anime on my anime list but you know [Applause] what guys calm down calm down let let me explain for a second let me explain okay if I could choose only one anime to like represent the anime community that I can recommend that could blindly recommend to anyone anywhere almost any age it would be a attack TP God this looks so fuing stupid this looks so stupid your name is deserved I think I think it's deserved I am faded but yes I'm F bro bro go to bed man your name I I have a big bias towards your name because it was the first anime film I saw in cinemas that gave me a bit of that Cinema magic that scene where you hear rad Wims for the first time before makot shinkai got rad Wims on like speed dial and started using that in every single one of his films oh that was like such aing magical experience just being able to see that in cinemas Stein gate Stein gate is deserve I will say I am only ranking Stein gate if we're going Stein gate zero or the [Music] movies they don't take this W ah thank you thank you very holy [ __ ] thank you very much for the $50 man yo I should just start rating everything deserved No Game No Life oh oh as the isekai trash man I enjoyed No Game No Life but really maybe this deserves to be higher maybe this deserves to be deserved if we had more than oneing season okay Jutsu kais um right now it is the 17th most popular anime on my anime list I just think right now it's slightly slight just just slightly just slightly I believe that season 2 is going to fix that I'm eug Dori I like girls like Megan the stallion a silent voice I'd say it's deserved I'd say it's deserved the only reason why I don't think it's not popular enough is because kind of just felt like a bunch of TV episodes stacked on top of each other you can very much tell that it is a manga adaptation I I think there is a lot of good in a silent voice I think it's a great story uh and yeah who doesn't love a little bit of depression every now and again but it is boring I'm going to respectfully disagree with you the average twitch chatter when uh there's not something blowing up every 5 minutes uh kind of boring guys one piece deserved come on guys come on come on it's it's one piece it's one piece guys the anime has not aged well especially considering the fact that the pacing is kind of like awful at times that wasn't as big of an issue as it is now it deserved its popularity back then it has one of the greatest worlds in fiction in my opinion and I'm going to be so fuing sad when it ends all right moving on to code yes no I got to go my G Note deserved I would still recommend Death Note to this day Netflix adaptation better I I feel like death note definitely had not a bad reputation but definitely the image kind of got a little bit cringe back when we were cringey teen teers and everyone was like look at me I'm quirky like L look guys I'm bringing a Death Note to school 3 Z if this was season 1 I definitely would have put this in slightly overrated do you ever get that feeling of deja vu shut up Tracer but season 2 sold me season 2 has sold me was it as fastpaced and as shocking as season 1 no but I actually preferred season 2 to season 1 and it gets me excited for the rest of rezero norigami really really guys really yeah has some good animation has some nice action scenes but uh but really L take L take man you guys are as broke as the god in norigami man come on it is no better than some anime that we just that I've just forgotten in every like seasonal grind the only the only reason I haven't forgotten norami is because of its popularity uh Angel Beats I'm going to put it as very overrated it's not slightly overrated it is at like at the bottom tier I don't think it's a really I think that's the problem with a lot of the what I call cry porn anime hey yo yes I said cry porn you know what the I mean okay some shows are just designed to make you feel like sad and what is what is the solution power fantasy when I see one but for some reason I couldn't turn off my brain when I was watching seven deadly sins I was like the biggest threat to any of these characters any of the core main characters are themselves God this this this actually looks like a meme list now that I'm looking this with Attack on Titan at the top but we are going to rectify that mob psycho 100 it's not popular enough baby we can get this higher man we can go higher with mob psycho 100 in in 10 20 years I'm we're probably going to have to be fighting for people to watch Mob psycho 100 in studio Bon the third season of mob is where all the content during a race time skip went but it feels like a lot of people didn't watch some of the later seasons of mob because a lot of people watch Mob as like uh oh it's the it's another show from the creator of one punch man and I'm like I think mob psycho is better than one punch man Mirai Nikki why why why why uh you know gas I have ruined an entire generation of teenage boys my [ __ ] God you know the worst that we can get was like an angry tnder and suddenly every teenage boy was thirsting over a Serial murderer look like uh but she's quirky guys she's quirky I love it I love it when my girlfriend is obsessed and tries to murder me it should have been me not him fing see this is the effect guys we are seeing the effect right now guys I swear to God me Hau like never got boring I think if I could pick one modern Sports Anime to get a spot as the most popular anime in the last like 20 years um it's highq promised Netherlands now uh can we are we allowed to ignore season 2 it's either deserved or why is this here and there is no in between I will give promise Neverland the benefit of the doubt I I I i' I'd say this that promise Neverland was deserved manga K in mid though oh okay did it fall off [ __ ] Kos deserved I'm surprised it's this popular actually it's uh 38 one of the few isekai that actually people have a positive opinion about I've had enough cute girls doing cute things I want terrible people doing terrible things if konosuba wasn't made I would probably want to write a sitcom like konosuba Blue Exorcist really Blue Exorcist is one of the showns of all time it is not as bad as let's say aam kill or Mir Nikki maybe it is actually I don't remember no I actually had a good time watching Blue Exorcist but I have generally not heard a single person talk about Blue Exorcist put it on that here then fam yeah okay you're all right you're right I I kept saying it I kept saying why is this here um Bach oo guys guys I'm going to get death threats I am going to get death threats I getting death threats fuing hell Bach was 686 chapters uh even though the uh Thousand-Year blood War Arc anime is absolutely killing it right now in the manga the beginning of the arc was also fing insane uh and then it also to me kind of fell off the more the more it went bleach has its place in nostalgia in my opinion parasite sometimes parasite gets brought up in conversation and the general Vibe is oh yeah I watch parasite that was that was that was an enjoyable show here's what I remember about parasite guys man gets an OP power with his right hand and out of nowhere dubstep that's what I remember about parasite look out that was so weird watching an 80s anime with dubstep in it it's surprising that parasite is on this list and one punch man is not on this list oh I must have clicked the wrong link okay one punch man is on this list uh I think I clicked the attack on Titan season 2 Link instead of one punch man godamn deserved season 1 especially I do not think it's a better story than Mob psyo 100 but it still delivers on the hype every single time at least according to the manga cowboy bbop a lot of people are going to say that cboy bwop is slightly overrated but I think it's deserved it's not so much a ongoing storyline it's a bunch of different ideas spliced into one TV series but that's what I love about it not every episode is a banger but it almost feels kind of like an anthology if code gas didn't exist I would probably say cowboy bbop is my favorite ending to all time in any anime wow this is giving me major Persona Vibes this is Spirited Away I would have to be a real [ __ ] hipster to say that it was a bad movie or that I didn't enjoy it I did enjoy it I can definitely say that in terms of the art of like film making and all that [ __ ] they're like great but I there's there's something about the charm of like something that feels anime that just drew me to it and I can't put it into words what that is but that was like that was like the big reason why I never got fully invested in a lot of gly films Neon Genesis Evangelion of course it's fing deserved I am not going to argue this I don't want to hear it chat it saw me it's saw me okay someone gets my depression all right are there stories at a better structure than Evan gon yes okay I don't care I don't get death parade I thought I was the only one that really fuing enjoyed death parade and still thinks about it to this day yes it is popular it is fing popular yes [ __ ] guys I'm no longer a hipster no people Online started at all Violet ever Garden I thought the best episodes in violet ever Garden uh were the episodes that focused on other people I get that that's the concept of violet evergarden like oh she is a doll she is finding emotions and stuff and like I I get that I just didn't really find that interesting cuz you know we we've we've seen that before I feel like violet evergarden is deserved it is one of the most beautiful anime I've ever seen in my life holy [ __ ] kyot animation you are the absolute goat Kill la Kill is a classic in my eyes and it's deserves its spot the perfect show no the let's say from episode I think from episode like 10 to 18 or something was a little bit slow but I don't think even in this day very few anime can touch the highs of killer kill and G gun bunny girl Senai I got to hold in this piss I think it's as popular as it needs to be bunny girl Senpai deserves popularity where the is monat man where I'm I'm just salty that monat is not here I think I said this in my bunny girl Senpai review uh I called bunny girl Senpai normi monat which all right now okay now it makes sense now now it actually makes sense kaga summer if there is one genre that I think not a lot of people watch it is romance anime I want to talk to a Shonen fan and it's and I want to be like yo okay you watch juy kaon you watch chainsaw man yo try out kagia summer man I don't want I I don't want the to say oh my God I actually watched Kio summer and it's actually really good Dr Stone really on paper I should fing love Dr Stone it's like shown in for engineers and I'm like this is great this is fing great I have tried re getting into Dr Stone four times now you know when you read a manga or watch an anime and there was likeing four or five seasons but then you just watch one and you're like that was fun I need to know more of that that's Dr Stone to me why the f is another here hello hello another isn't even a horror anime it's a comedy anime guys you know what it it's better than this he's it's better than this it he has it has some merits okay another is that show you watch if you want to get drunk and just watch a [ __ ] show food Wars I'm going to put it psychop pass psychop pass season 1 has just gotten better with age to the point where I don't even think it's popular enough makima to me is one of the most interesting characters in in anime period every time I rewatch psychopath I grow a deeper appreciation of what he was trying to [Music] do JoJo's Bizarre Adventure this is deserved my God if JoJo got more popular I literally would not be able to be a part of the anime Community I think it is a fing shame that Netflix killed part six of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure but at the same time there is a part of me that was kind of happy about it because for the longest time uh like a lot of the internet was uhing unbearable they they sucked all of the memes dry for like a good four or five years man it's I'm surprised that soer is on here the ending of Soler was really bad but it is still fun cuz I don't think Solita is overrated in the grand schem of things I think it is become slightly dated um but I still think there are a lot of Great Moments and a lot of great aspects of Soul Eater all right my hero Academia goding damn it oh yeah this this it it all go it goes hand in hand with jutu kaon we needed a fast get invested in it again what do we do uh uh uh add some Edge make make make decorate Edge Lord somehow it [ __ ] works uh I think one of the big problems with Mah Academia is that it's soing bloated with its characters okay let's fing bring Demon Slayer into this okay there are a few shows that can get me that fing hype oh but the characters of the story I don't give a [ __ ] the thing that separates something like Demon Slayer to my her Academia is that I know what I'm getting when I'm getting into Demon Slayer my her Academia there are so many characters and some characters I care about and some characters I really don't give a [ __ ] about but it feels the need to give like to give time to every single character and sometimes I'm really invested and sometimes I'm not we have run out of time I am very very sorry
