I inherited a 1984 Suburban and its been sitting for almost 4 years!

what's going on guys it's isaac today i'm on my property and i'm getting vehicles running that have been sitting out here for years that i inherited so the story is everybody thinks i keep inheriting from different people i've only inherited all this stuff from one person and he had a lot of stuff so what we're going to be bringing back to life today and has been sitting for about three years is a 1984 chevy suburban custom deluxe it's a three-quarter ton pickup truck it was owned once by the forestry service and it's been sitting a long time it has about a hundred thousand miles on it which isn't a lot and on the back of it is a chris craft a small block chevy in it it's weird the engine's backwards and it has a some sort of velvet drive system i don't know what's in it and it boy someone's getting down and the transmission's in front of the engine and then it's got a shaft going to the back of the boat so engine transmission shaft to the propeller it's a 70-something model chris craft but i'm not worried about that uh this is what we're messing with today so let me see it's been sitting for a while got mouse stuff everywhere keys are in ignition smells really bad in here so i already know that the battery's dead so i'm going to go ahead and hook up my battery or jumper cables oh i got to pop the hood so i got to hook up the jumper cables and give her a jump and i'm hoping it'll run because it has been sitting for a very long time she's got some rust popping out on her oh goodness there's a hole this is terrible it's pretty wet in there oh gosh all right so she needs some help but it's not terrible i've seen a lot worse so let's get this thing back in good shape because it's just too nice of a truck to let you know let go all right it's a good battery right there hopefully it'll jump pretty easy so now i have to wait about 15 minutes let this battery charge up and then we'll uh try cranking it up i like those suburbans they're pretty nice pretty cool i love the old square body trucks that one's an 84 it's been around for a while all right so it's been 15 minutes now i'm gonna go hit the key and see what happens i hope something's gonna happen good you know running oh we got something happening come on come on baby might need to might need a poor little gas in the carburetor do we have any gas in here anything oh holy cow i don't know if this is gas ooh it smells like gas it's in a little can i bet you it's like two-stroke or something it's two-stroke which is perfect that'll be great all right so i'm going to fill up the bowls that's an edelbrock carburetor on this thing that is not stock all right let's get that shot i bet you she'll crank up now contact it runs keep running sounds great all right so i guess i didn't uh mention that uh oh got an oil leak got a bad oily so i was about to say i i checked the uh the oil and uh well we have a hole in a line uh looks like it needs an oil change so i guess what i've got to do now is get some new oil line for this thing so uh gotta run to the store and it's gonna be raining by the time i get back so maybe i'll get to this thing in the morning so all right guys all right guys so i got what i needed to fix this leak i'm gonna put the truck back on charge and uh go ahead and see about swapping out that line all right so i got this uh tubing that obviously the mice chewed through all right so i need to get to the back of the engine and uh run the line through the firewall i see where it goes so i need to take the breather off because it'll give me a little bit better access there we go stick that thing right there don't go nowhere and right here on the back of the engine is going to be oh there it is right there i see it and it looks like a 3 8 wrench i'm guessing oh yeah that's a definite mouse that did that now i'm going to crank it up and see what it does all right oil pressure is coming up not very well because the plastic is stuck to the uh needle so i need a new gauge all right it doesn't appear that i have a leak there but let's see what we have over here okay i think we're okay i don't see any leak here it's showing 60 psi of pressure that's good i mean you know cold cold start up so i've come over to the house found a parking spot for the boat i'm gonna put it right here next to this other boat so i can unhook the suburban and i can uh see about getting the suburban on the road and having it having it drivable so suburban's warming up off in the distance um a lot of y'all are wondering about this boat or this uh it's a boat all right about this uh bus future video and i plan on driving it up and down the road too so uh this buick is coming up too in fact that one's going to be next after the suburban now these cars have been sitting for years ever since my friend had passed away he uh he had a lot of stuff he had a lot of houses a lot of property and a lot of vehicles counting boats so he's been uh he's been gone for about four years now all this stuff has been sitting for like four years everything's looking good let's see if the heat works heat oh there's stuff flying out i'm gonna need to put some gas in this thing oh oh it smells awful they're in the vents oh gosh it smells bad oh oh it's smoky too oh the mice got in the heating all right let's give her a shot roll down this window because it smells so bad in here oh so crusty well the brakes work transmission works time to try the four-wheel drive let's go to four low oh i forgot it's got locking hubs i've got to manually lock them all right now let's try i'm gonna try to move it forward and then i'll try to back it up before getting in the road all right let's give this a shot all right here we go four low all right it's moving let me try to back her up all right it's working let's get her in the road looks like i have air in one tire hmm for some reason it just doesn't want oh i got some i kind of got some air in that tire i think it's gotten off in a rut or something well i'll just keep it going all right keep on going so can't see anything on the other side let's try to make this turn mighty tight so far so good yeah we're good oh the steering wheel is so sticky it's disgusting all right let's see where we're at oh this is looking good yeah i think we're in a pretty good spot yeah this is it it's new home all right suburban you have done fine i love these old square bodies this thing runs so good especially for sitting for around four years this thing's been sitting for about four years let's see when the tag went out oh i guess i'll return the tags i don't remember returning the tag all right let's get this boat unloaded all right i would take the truck for a ride guys but it's about out of gas i'm i'm afraid if i go down the road that's where she'll run out of gas so i'm gonna have to get some gas for the thing and uh i'll see about taking her for a ride but this thing's pretty awesome it's a heck of a truck i
