I gave cocky players the rank they "deserve"... Here's what happened

you ever just look at your rank and go ew what if you have the magical ability to transform that rank into the rank that you so obviously deserve well that's what i did for some cocky rocket league players through the power of giving them access to a better player's account the question is can they win a match and prove it's where they belong we're about to find out so stick around after a video beat a diamond 2 in a freestyle 1v1 now i'm going to be honest i'm a little bit skeptical about this guy he says he deserves to be in blackberry but he's already got some distance his internet is saying otherwise his computer is clearly not happy about what is happening here it's not used to him playing on such a high level account but his teammate thankfully ice ice ac i have no idea how to pronounce that um apparently he's cleaning up the mess for him now he's getting back he looks like he's got some rotational awareness his teammate actually i think went for the wrong challenge and he's unable to save that ball knight does take away the score right there uh looks like they're actually talking in chat so i'm surprised that these plats ability to communicate effectively without toxicity uh that's definitely a big awareness for him okay decent pinch he's gonna go up for this ball and he scores uh his his account name which i think is hilarious um that he actually borrowed is rotate please that is this plat three's name so i think that's a perfect way to describe flat three and look at that he's actually scaring off his defenders i mean this man is a living legend if i've ever seen one so at the moment i hate to say it but our gold three is kind of proving that he might belong in plat if he can just get his internet fixed i mean this man might be an ssl it's kind of hard to say yeah there's that packet loss of dan he is struggling his teammate definitely over committed there looks like that might be costly yeah he does lose a gold okay knight once again has scored and this game is a one goal game it's really anyone's game all right the gold looks a little bit awkward right here he really should be cheating back to net and for that it's gonna be bad for both of them the flat three his teammate was unable to compensate and he looks uncomfortable with this kind of gameplay right now so even though he had a strong start i'm really not seeing the mechanics of the game sense from him but hey rotate please just scored again so we'll give him that was that an own goal i'd like to see what happened here wait is this what i think happened this is what platt three is all about okay all right we're we're back and that was an own goal that's hard to believe um he doesn't seem to be comfortable air dribbling i'm not sure if plat3s can typically do that i'm basically positive that they have a little bit better mechanics than that so yeah that ariel right there is not a good sign if he's really convinced he should be in plat3 i don't think his mechanics are showing him and right now we're running out of time but he is up if rotate please can win this match i am gonna be in disbelief this goal three will have clutched the unbelievable okay here he goes here he goes he's proving does he control it off the wall is he gonna blot the shot maybe not this is close this is close gets the touch you know what is this is this a w about to happen is this gold three about to win a flat three match it's kind of hard to say it might still keep up and there you have it our gold three has proved that he is at least capable in plat 3. i mean good not saying he deserves like champ one but it's already not looking good with the score out of the gate but that is okay that is what happens down in diamond two so this is very different than our first round where the gold three said he should be a flat three and then went and proved it so all right so the account he's on right now actually has a diamond decal so it's very obvious this is a diamond account and he is working his way back trying to work with his teammate um it looks a little bit awkward the strange thing is he's on actually the orange team but it's hard to tell because he's wearing a blue decal so don't be confused except i bet he wishes he was on the blue team because he instantly got started on oh what a save though he's he's definitely comfortable with his mechanics i can see it all right what's he gonna do in the solo play this is his option to really prove himself all right he gotta pass one defender that's definitely no small feat can he get this over that's another goal all right ex tommy the dude on the other team is uh cleaning up right now yeah he's got the absolute boomers in his dominus that is tough that's those diamond two mechanics right there okay okay all right we're moving on to the left side he got a party invite little does he know he's on the wrong account uh all right he's gonna pass it straight to the team that was not a good decision and he put his teammate in a horrible spot i don't like that decision and choice from our guy right here who thinks he deserves to be a diamond too it's not looking good so far but his teammate does save him he bails him out and he actually had a nice pass play so that's a good recovery does that a speedflip goal all right bk has recovered on his account and it looks like he is back in this game the game's not over yet there's still a minute left two goals down it's not looking ugly all right can he play aggressive here makes a nice pass teammate's there oh barely misses over the top that could have been a goal man i bet that feels bad when you're trying to prove you belong in a better rank all right can you see me make the save here doesn't look like it that would be an opportunity to challenge he looks hesitant his teammate's bailing him out i don't know he doesn't look comfortable but make it a free goal anyways can you believe that oh my this is what happens down here in dino 2. i can tell though the mechanics are significantly better than our gold match and everyone looks in general much more confident with their rotations all right moving on moving on this game is close it's only a one goal deficit with 30 seconds left that kickoff was very basic but actually served its purpose he leaves the first teammate they seem to be miscommunicating here a little bit uh hard he's going for the dribble play he's making his way back can he make this happen takes it up the wall oh he looks so awkward i don't know if this is his move gets it past one oh maybe maybe his teammate shoots no way his teammate whipped i can't believe you've done this maybe his teammate is the one who belongs in diamond one dang that is tough it's gonna be oh can they recover no all right that is a gg unfortunately the diamond one did not necessarily prove he belongs in diamond two but i won't say it's out of the question that was a close match all right we are back with round three and this time we have a champ one who truly believes he belongs in champ two and that once again is not a strong start he says he has great game sense but his teammates always suck and ball chase man i hope he doesn't get demoralized by these champ twos i'll say this as we go higher and higher up in the ranks the gaps actually widen like the skill gap widens between each rank so in theory getting champ two should be a little bit harder than getting like platsu if you're a plat one but either way our champ one is starting off confident and actually looks pretty solid to start this match his teammate is bumping away setting up the free net which he makes use of look at that disa has scored his shot on this alternate account that he is using maybe just maybe he's proving he deserves to be a champ too looks like he just got caught too far cheating up and he's going to get bumped out of the way and can't even make a save that did not look like a great rotation let's go back into another bump play that seems to be this other team's strategy in champ two to winning these kinds of battles so is he gonna be able to clutch it out he goes for the shot oh he misses just barely that is one of the worst feelings in rocket league his teammate may have made up for it with a weird pinch play so he's still in this game definitely not proving that he doesn't belong at this rank so far and that shot helps this case okay disa i see you i see you he's making just shots his kickoff was suss but now he's up two goals what was that what even is that kickoff i don't know what rank to even call that but you know what if it works it works all right he's on backboard defense that wasn't the prettiest player i've seen but his teammate is there and rotating well to support him but that is straight into the net they both get caught out is he able to recover quickly enough here he looks a little bit awkward he did a panic touch you can't be panicking in these higher ranks that is tough yeah it was also a good setup for their other team so they made that shot count all right here comes the ball back he's on defense once again not the best touches he's got to work on some of these mechanics but he looks just slightly intimidated by the other players maybe they're moving a little faster than he's used to maybe his teammate is doing things he's not used to doing but either way he looks a little bit awkward so is he gonna be able to make this up he's going up high going for the aerial maybe maybe he meant to pass it's hard to tell from that shot there but his teammate kind of bails him out here and takes the shot for him so is he gonna be able to hit the shot makes it on back is he can he control he looks awkward he goes for a boost he's scared is did that open a shot no once again his teammate bails him out all right he's going up for the aerial here a little bit slow his speed aerials don't look quick but this game is tied up it's really anyone's match for the time being all right takes it over shoots the shot doesn't get it teammate's there let's go lightsab makes it happen man if i didn't know any better i'd say this almost looks like a carry but hard to say i would say he's definitely contributing at least to the match so that's all we can really ask for from these challengers he's all the way back here making his making his shots and he wins the match no way we have another w for the day looks like this champion has proven he can at least hang in champ too and for our final match we have a champ too who truly believes he deserves to be a gc he deserves it because he legit stopped caring about ranks and it's not a good representation of skill so this is big um he's proving it this is actually a grand champ one account so we're about to see if he has what it takes to start to become one of the better players in the entire game the steel gap between champ two and grand champ one is pretty high as i said earlier the higher you do up in the ranks typically the higher the skill gap between each rank i remember my client from champ 2 to gc and it was a major battle but he seems to be hanging okay right now he's a little bit out of position there doesn't recover in time to make the save um that is definitely gonna hurt him but he's only down one goal should be able to recover as long as things go smoothly so his teammates got possession here he gets interrupted pretty quick does he shoot this oh man he's a little bit too hesitant and honestly a bit too slow hopefully he can speed up and start to hang with these grand champs but he actually made a mistake of going for boost earlier and got caught and scored on so let's see if he can recover here um he doesn't look like he's quite used to the pace so far yet yeah he wasn't expecting that touch thankfully his teammate bailed him out his teammate had a decent challenge there he's got control in twos it is all about control so if he can handle the ball right here and get it past that defender uh he doesn't quite get it past him his teammate is once being left in a bad spot he gets a good clear though does he stay back in net no he's not ready and his teammate votes to forfeit man that is a terrible feeling uh right now he doesn't look like he's proving himself to be grand champ worthy but he's at least handing his mechanics don't seem to be the issue it seems to be a game sense problem right now it doesn't seem like he's ready for the pace and just seems to be caught off guard hopefully he can at least score this 1v1 situation right here has a good fake okay that's that's a nice play we like to see that so the champs who's at least proving he's capable of at least storing on drain champs that's a start but we've only got 55 seconds left in this match can he make a miraculous comeback we're about to find out takes it up the wall got control out of boost his teammate sees it backs off that was actually smart by his teammate to cover downfield and he might have an opportunity here nice pass definitely not a bad touch and what a boomer all the way to the back that his teammate is forced to recover and try to make a controlling touch he might be able to take it to the wall here man unlucky he's getting outpaced pretty much everywhere on the field right now he's got boost does he waste it or does he keep it we're about to find out and opportunity doesn't quite get it tries again no it doesn't work out man that was super close he doesn't look awful in this match it just looks like he's getting a little bit outpaced and you know what a little bit outclassed in this gc1 match this is a high rank and you've got to be able to act super fast so honestly i'm not seeing a lot of potential i don't think he's proven at least today that he belongs in grand champ one amazingly we actually went two for two in these matches wow honestly i don't know what to say this was supposed to be a video making fun of
