I Built a 1500HP Hellcat Race Car In 2 Weeks

last year dodge invited us to event in detroit called roadkill knights to go drag racing with and last year they gave us a brand new hellcat car to build into the perfect drag car and we put twin turbos on it we gave it like 1300 horsepower and we turned it into the hell jet you might seen it it does really good burnouts it's really good at drag racing it's got lots of horsepower this year they're doing something a little bit different they sent us a 6.2 liter supercharged demon motor that we've already modified a little bit we've got a couple little secrets to you that i'll tell you about later but now all we need to do is find a car to put this motor into to go drag racing in detroit and that brings me to this bad boy this is our off-road hellcat now currently she has no engine transmission rear end front suspension nothing because we pulled everything out of it to build an off-road chassis for this car and uh i think she's got a quick side mission she's got to do real quick so we're going to put 1500 horsepower into it turn it back into a drag car after that we're going to bring it home and put 40 inch mud bars on it but we have 21 days until this event so we better get to work so here's what we're gonna do we're gonna roll the engine forward he's gonna go up with the k-member and then we're gonna just marry him together like somebody invades go go ahead bring her over this way just a smidge oh no come on hold on dude she just lined up perfect on my side going up a little more there we go we're good all right you shut that off we're good at building healthcare i'll tell you what it's like building legos at this point they're so easy though you can make them 426 hemis you can put ported heads do all kinds of stuff real easy not though not that we did that hold on let me put the car up in there and that way we slide the k member right under come with me hellcat you wrecked it watch we accidentally put it in backwards why is it carl we go in reverse he's going in there watch that freaking stretch yeah make sure that stretch don't get stuck on the inside of the frame rail i gotta come forward i'm way off my truck three two one move it there we go this is like a delicate dance when installing hellcat murder you gotta like you gotta feather it like you're just kissing your sister or something not hard you know easy oh yeah that went the right size okay so the engine should stay in the car right now we're gonna test it out and see oh my god we got a hellcat back in there boys there's another side damn look at that okay we got an engine in there now all right i guess we need to hook up the wiring and bam wires finished what's my cooling system oh my gosh oh we're good at this okay cooling systems in the car the engine's in the car the wiring is done and look we got boxes so anybody got a knife in the first box what all we got in here there's the ice tank that'll keep the intercooler nice and clean nice and cool on top of all of this we went ahead and got the same fuel system that's in the hell joe which means this thing will support almost 2 000 horsepower now we don't have all the wheels yet because wheels are really hard to come by right now but we got a hold of the guys over weld and they hooked us up real quick with a nice set of 18 by six front skinnies oh sheesh look at that they look good good dude so this is the same rear end suspension kit that we have on the hell jet this is an aad performance i think they call it like the wheel hop eliminator kit or something but if you want your hellcat to actually go straight when you try to hook it up and take it down the track you need some aad rear parts so we got a fuel system to go in it we got wheels to go on it we got a full hellcat rear end system right here with a 15 inch conversion so we can run 15 inch back tires so we'll throw all this stuff on it real quick and then let's throw the rear suspension in the car then we'll pull the fuel tank and put the fuel system pulling up all right so we got the complete aed rear suspension on this bad boy this is a hellcat rear end out of this car originally so it should be tough enough for the amount of power we're gonna put through it we just gotta get it back in the car dude this thing's gonna be so epic when we finally get 40 inch mud boggers on it i'm kind of sad that we can't take it to roadkill knights with 40-inch mud bloggers but that's against the rules notice that like whenever we're trying to do stuff they have like the most incoherent conversations over there it's like when you're watching tick tock or when somebody else is watching tick tock video yeah yeah you're just like would you just shut the up i feel like i think i'm having a stroke how's your shock look on that side you're shocked lined up oh god damn it what the hell i'm gonna take that out push okay god dang hold fast connor we need your big old muscle muscles over here he looks like a bigfoot getting ready to hide halfway behind a tree that's definitely cross-rendered that is definitely bad all right we got the front suspension in the rear suspension now let's go ahead and drop this fuel tank and we'll put the fuel system in it we don't got one fuel pump we don't got two fuel pumps we got three fuel pumps oh oh there we go okay there's the fuel pump out go ahead and plug this now guys this is a good time to tell you i need to spill the beans because the motor we put back in that car is not exactly come on plug-in it's not exactly stock the motor that we put back in that bad boy has custom ported texas speed heads on now texas speed don't actually do anything with mopars but we called them back hey you pour some heads like hell yeah we can so we got a big cam in there we got some big heads in there we have a different bottom end in that motor so hypothetically it might not be a 6.2 liter anymore it might be what would you say slightly bigger it's like slightly bigger than a 6.2 liter now but the rules just said it had to be a stock block and the block is stock everything else though everything else is not there we go good job fuel system practically in the thing is now i gotta mess with it for like three hours before it'll finally bolt in right there we go bam fuel pump is now installed [Music] dude i love these cars so much because they're so easy there's only four bolts and bam fuel tank is in it so now we just got to sit here and wait for the fedex man to get back with our transmission he should be here any time today though so we just sit and wait how are you doing and this isn't even the transmission that's like something else that i ordered and forgot about oh sheesh all right thank you dude i appreciate you later this is a fully built tr 6060 from calimer transmissions and i called these guys and i told them kind of what we're doing the short time frame everything so we overnighted this thing to him and they built it with a 2 000 horsepower g-force fleece i said that wrong face-plated gear set in it which means we can treat this thing as hard as we want to and it isn't going to break all right first things first we got to get the clutch on the back of the engine and then we can throw this bad boy right in the car where's the clutch oh i'm coming in clutch right now [Music] let's go transmission this car is going to be insane if we make every part of it work because we are going to be building one of the fastest freaking six-speed drag cars i've ever seen oh here went down let down on it all right push oh my god dude there's no way we could ever pull that off again in my freaking line okay transmissions in there dude she looks really good so we gotta get the ecm in it a couple other small things to do and then maybe we get this car started guys it's been a very long day but i think now the car is ready to go and we have the ecm back from hp tuners now the problem is this has a 6.2 liter tune in it the stock hellcat tune well this isn't a stock hellcat motor anymore so i'm not quite sure if this tune's gonna cut it and make this car even run right but regardless we're gonna try it and see ideally if everything goes great right now it just fires right up and runs but we'll see go oh ahead made noises you gotta put the clutch down all right start it pull the clutch pedal back up and push it back down again uh push clutch in try it again hitting put don't put your foot on the brake nothing no come on start car go you want to be alive we just put a goddamn big motor and you start for damn sakes never fails you can never just build a car you always have these stupid things that hold you up for three more days when you don't got three more days for it to hold you up the wire harness is all hooked up the ecm is in it's powering up because the dash and everything's working so why won't it crank i'm gonna go gander at the other one real quick yep let's go look at it ready [Music] on the tune i really didn't think it would run right but that was pretty good finally so we had the wrong ecu harness on it we was missing a ground and also the fuel system wasn't exactly right we had to kind of mess with the fuel pressure but look it's running good now we just gotta throw some tires and wheels on it because we gotta get the hell out of here because we're about seven hours late for an appointment for this thing to get um let's just say some cosmetic enhancements guys we are currently at parks motors this bad mamma jammer right here is gonna make our challenger look what you say a little bit better you wanna drive it out dude i'll tell you what last year i took everything out of the car this year i wanna stop and stop [Music] it's 4 46 on saturday and i need it done by monday so something you guys can do [Music] i can get her done and shop tonight or if we're out tomorrow if that's what you need oh my god dude this guy's a legend if that's what you need hey i can't do it we're gonna leave it here at parks motors let them work their freaking magic on it and the next time you guys see this car she's gonna look a whole lot better than she does that well guys we're back at parks motors they all right hey i appreciate you i got to get this bad boy to georgia so you can get two we are currently in dallas georgia we just drove all the way through the night 14 hours it's currently 9 00 a.m and we are at 10 bar shop to get this cartoon we left kansas at 6 00 p.m yesterday evening this camper did not stop except for fuel and uh that's it and we're now in georgia oh that looks good yeah dude you looks good don't you if it can run it's half as good as it looks everybody else is in trouble see it runs real good tim i wouldn't expect anything else [Music] guys since you've seen the car last time we put a cold air intake on it we put a different pulley on it and if you look right there we have a nos nitrous system on this car so now we just need to get a tuned on the dyno really a pain in the ass once you get it add a second to get it up to the right spot to get it over to third no just just let it go just let go of it yeah pull it back to second yeah i will watch it's in third you're gonna show me i'd do that what happens if i accidentally slammed into first it won't it shouldn't let you dude i can't even this up we're good okay hold on a second hold on a second oh wait come on you nothing man or god made that is western proof it's a tough transmission they said it was it was good for 2 000 horsepower we're not going to make that much just name one thing you couldn't a salad we got the black car in the dyno we did a couple test pulls on pump gas to see exactly what she's doing let me say she made a lot of power on pump gas which means she's gonna make even more power with this magic juice right here this is e-90 ignite racing fuel which is pretty much solid alcohol so we're gonna pour that in we'll make a couple runs on probably just fuel and then we'll hook up the nitrous system and really get after it no more fuel left it's all in the car half of it's over me go ahead and fire it up see what kind of power she makes everybody stand back i know him but tim's got a moon tune in this bad boy right now [Applause] man i don't know if it means a power or not but it sounded good it ripped oh that's what i love to hear oh god damn 941 941 horsepower to the wheels this time i'll drain about 100 lower than my other one so about 10 40 on a regular gun so it made over a thousand words part of the wheel just on blower no nitrous see this is why i say he's the hellcat whisperer because it don't matter all he has to do is type away on the laptop a little bit and bam there's a thousand horsepower right there if i twist them two wires together it's on you're missing some letters on that redneck time it should say dumbass rednecks hey i'll tell you what we get twisted together it's gonna work we got a fighter jet switch here we got the nitrous controller so if i did this right if i flip this switch which normally is made to like drop bombs this should come on which means if i did this wrong he's going to drop a bomb in our motor and blow it off the track oh okay okay so how's this work hit it it's on and turn it off it's off i call that actually cess if it blows up now we're just gonna blame tim hey if a rod flies out of the motor make sure you catch it [Music] [Applause] oh my god hey nitrous works [Music] holy dude oh my god now that's the power and this diner reads 100 lo so it's making 1250 at the wheel on nitrous that is a freaking oh my god well you heard it dude it sounded mad it sounded nasty it was pissed off oh dude well obviously we got it running we got to take it for a quick spin let's see how good [Music] man dude oh this is this is a good car that's a real good car oh god damn it's like rips okay yep let's get into the trailer before we break it all right guys it's been a crazy ass two weeks but we've accomplished it we have got a 1500 horsepower six feet drag cars in right there ready to go racing so uh thank you guys for watching i gotta get this bad boy back to kansas so we can go test it and see if it actually works or not
