australian burnout competition guys i've always thought i did epic burnouts but on the bottom of the world in a place called australia they do burnouts a little bit differently because for them it's not just something they do for fun it's a competition it's a sport it's a test of who can take and build the biggest baddest big block blowered cars in the world and who can burn rubber with the most style and here's the thing guys they're kind of putting us to shame and i just can't let that happen and that right there is where i bring this bad boy i bought another 2.3 liter ecoboost mustang now you guys might remember what happened the last ecoboost mustang we bought something kind of similar is going to happen to this one she's going to go from a meek and mild 4-cylinder that does i mean i don't know what it does it does something to being a absolute burnout master that's enough of that let's go tear this thing apart the thing is when we decided to do a burnout car we had to go back to the things we know we're working with we know how to make the power steering work we know how to make the rear end work and these are really tough cars so we're gonna throw a big block with a supercharger in there we're gonna have a lot of torque a lot of power we need something that's gonna hold up and these cars seem to do pretty good so dude this thing's gonna be good magic big old blower sticking out of the hood big old scoop on top of that making all kinds of big v8 noises for science we got to figure out exactly what this thing sounds like without the exhaust so uh got it okay here go over the car it sounds like a pissed off lawnmower oh my god three two [Music] i think we should put it down on the ground see if it does better burnouts with this oh yeah for sure oh no i think we blew it up oh dude we screwed the anybody want to buy a previously used 2.3 liter ecoboost motor it's for sale not on sale we'll pull it out for you guys it'll be on a pallet ready to go it's a good running motor hey put it apart give it a good round for the people okay back into the shop we got to go ahead and tear it apart i mean it's it's broken now we've got to turn well i will admit it's a lot more work pushing them in when we blow them up but it's a whole lot more fun blowing them up goodbye here box oh that's an exhaust that's hot drop the carrier bearing pull this bad boy out we're just pulling this energy right on out of here baby all right we'll have to go up pull it forward and then kind of go up with it go up with a smidgen hold on stop it's getting old it's not hooked on this go back down keep going go back up back up keep going there you go everybody stand back when i say you got to be really smooth with this you got to be really smooth or we might lose this thing off the end keep it nice and easy go keep going it was barely on yeah the same thing on that side like it was just like barely on there we was one little breeze away from dropping a goddamn motor on the front clip for a mustang all right so here's the deal we've got a big hole ready for a big engine now all we need to do is go find the big engine this right here is a 454 big block and uh all we got to do now is get it out of this rec truck put a couple parts on it make it all beautiful and then stuff it in our burnout car first things first let's go ahead and pull it to town get to the shop oh my god did i back into that guy back there hey hold the brakes okay what up springs here we go fire up oh my god shut up not even no exhaust weeks or nothing no whiff or tick she is ready for the burnt outness that she's getting ready to sprint dude it's actually really sad that we gotta tear this truck apart but she's got a bent frame so literally this is the end of this truck's life and it's okay you're donating your heart to a good cause all right where's the sauce up did you cut through the goddamn windshield wiper flood hey it was just in the way okay excuse me oh almost had it there we go everything is out of the way all we got to do now is unbolt the engine the transmission the drive line and get this bad boy pulled right on out of here here's what's happening right now if you didn't know chevrolet motors don't fit very good into ford cars now here's the thing i've got an engine motor mount four chevy i've got a chevy motor a ford car some plate a weld or a grinder i should be able to figure out how to put this in there with just a little bit of science here let me see your equation four plates to backaches like you already said it wrong you can't be screwing up science why can't you write it i do write you right you gotta read it forward plate to back didn't write that right now all i gotta do is measure everything cut everything weld it all back together and then put it in the car and see if i got it right [Music] i know what you guys might be wondering what is this big contraption i've built and what it is is an adapter plate to adapt the chevrolet motor mounts that go underneath our 454 like that into the mustang's k-member so basically all we got to do is drop this bad boy in just like that bolt it down and then we can throw the engine in the car we'll slam it in there drop it in it'll be perfect right in the middle right where it needs to be everything works like that every time yeah every single time it's not like we've had this in here like four times already trying to figure out and make sure the motor mounts are right i mean we know it fits now three two one oh we're hitting some things okay oh she goes right in baby oh keep going oh okay hold on hold on dude she might just fall right in oh my god almost like we knew what we was doing look it's not even crooked or nothing how'd i do oh she's even lined up baby we gotta make sure she's nice and high so we got a two inch spacer underneath the blower oh gosh this is gonna look so good boom she is landing baby so what we're gonna do now is we've got the blower on we're gonna take and put the hat on top of that we'll figure out all the fuel lines we gotta put the fuel pump on it gotta put the pulley on the front the belt and then she's basically ready to start up it's not it goes on like this right well i mean kind of oh she looks so good oh my god look at her so this is a completely different system for what we used last time because this gear is complete mechanical fuel injection so we're gonna run alcohol in it we'll probably push like 10 12 pounds of boost this poor little junkyard motor who's got a razor blade dude the guys over at alki digger you just handed me a three million sugar lakeies oh damn it's the key to this box too i don't know what that is is that's a throttle cable or the shutdown cable what is that what the hell is that does it go in there now don't make no damn sense how the hell does that work here does that go on there is it going this goes on there no no i don't know if it works sir this is a professional shop we know exactly what we're doing here my good friend is holding the ignition coil oh wait all right so i think we've got this figured out basically where to go this goes onto here which holds the pump then we take and put the pump so yeah we got this figured out [Music] look it fits we got the belt on there we got the pulley on the top the bottom the fuel pump fits the fuel pump belts is on it's a frostbite thing that holley sent out to us this thing's gonna be so cold that it's never gonna overheat so while i'm putting the water pump on he's actually pulling the studs out of the head so we can put the new headers on and uh everybody cross your fingers because there's a 90 chance we're gonna break at least five i'm pretty sure i'm just choking a cancer stricken duck [Music] well problem guys i think we got to take the motor out to get the trigger it took us a while but we got the distributor fit now we got to see if the cap will fit right there baby there we go she's ready to rock and roll get some spark plug wires on there put some spark plugs in it then we'll put the headers on it dude look at the long tubes we got hooker long tube headers in here and these are like a 69 or 67 camaro i'm not even sure but hopefully they fit 2017 ford mustangs it didn't fix we might have to take the steering out just to even get it in there thermal sensor oil filter steering all deleted now it should thing is once we get it in there we can actually put the stuff back just in there and no problem the brakes are hitting it do we take brakes off too we can try your we can try your thing like try the engine you know jack might be good oh wait a minute hold on now remember how i said them headers was almost getting ready to fit i was lying so we bought a complete set to make a custom set of headers from stainless headers.com it took a week but they're done and they work and they'll probably be perfect let's move on to better things because i just want this car to go oh look at that look at it it looks so good all right you want to weld it in we got all that done but now look at this holley sent us some shiny valve covers i don't know look we got shiny valve covers we're going to put them on the engine oh god they look so good i wasn't sure about them because they look like the vintage ones like from the 60s and 70s but they just look so freaking good all right guys here's the thing in the last week we've got a lot done on this car we got the fuel system done the wiring done the transmission's plumbed we got oil coolers on both sides now so we've got an oil cooler and a trans cooler so i guess all we need to do now is pour some fuel on it throw the front bumper on try to crank it and see if it either blows up or goes dude this thing's gonna look good snap on the sides dude we've completely transformed this thing it looks good before we start it up we got one more thing we need to put on to it okay bye-bye mustang wheel hello new shiny wheel oh dude look how good it looks dude this thing is chunky when i ordered it i wanted the back tire to be fat but look at that thing that's like oh oh damn oh maybe i got a little bit too chunky with the back oh my god we're gonna need a fender flare for this thing look how much it sticks out we're gonna have to put a freaking bushwhacker on this bad boy maybe i got a little bit wild with ordering the nittos oh it just looks stupid it looks so bad the front looks real good look at it the big block brings it down to the point just lowered almost the back doesn't look good i'll be honest the back doesn't look good at all holy alright you got the start button you got the fire extinguisher yes sir all right and micah just just make sure it doesn't blow up don't blow up oh she made a bang bang dude that's close bro that starter is not happy oh yeah she got something that's going the right way now yeah we're going the right way yeah you hear that all right there's power trying to escape out the exhaust you feel a lot let's hit the dance floor don't worry too hard my breaker backbone return to the mac the king is back though cleveland and cash i never liked those she saw the stone you know how that go fatality my diamond's that cold i think the thing is i have to touch the pedal just watch me [Music] it's not going to start but we're just going to try it one last time just to make sure we try it all we good got time [Applause] we messed with this thing for so freaking long and i told mike and he's like oh the timing's right it's right it's right it's right turn the distributor all the way around fires right up like a freaking beast did you hear that yeah brownie red's so good now we need ear muffs that thing is way too freaking loud here's the thing it is finally freaking time to pull this bad boy out and do a burnout it's been a long four months working on it and uh you're not gonna be able to hear anything i say after i get it started so just enjoy everybody might get out of the way because i'm not sure if the brakes are going to work good enough to stop this car [Music] hey old faithfuls and kansas oh that wasn't good at all hey everything was going great right up until that happened dude all i seen as i'm sitting there is i'm like doing a burnout and i'm looking forward and then i can't see nothing it looks like i just drove underwater that's not good the thing is it blew out right here wouldn't have been nothing for it to suck in a bunch of water right in the intake oh no oh no oh no oh no she's done dude that much blow by off just cranking like she's done she's done we spent four months doing this video and uh we just blew her up but that's okay because i've got a surprise for you guys next time for this car don't worry this might not be the original engine she sticks with my diamond's that cold besides i'm fired maybe not my smartest mom would hold me on
