Terraria Master mode is brutal enemies have three times as much health and deal triple the damage but to make things even more challenging I wanted to beat this mode without dying once I'm going to skip prior mode in this video because we use the exact same strategies that we did in the last attempt so feel free to check out that video if you haven't already being fresh into hard mode certain enemies can one shot us so to avoid losing 20 plus hours of progress again I played it safe and used the multiviant fishing setup to obtain a hardwood gear since titanium crates can drop both titanium and Adamantite I decided to save some time by going for the frost armor which makes use of both for a weapon I really wanted to obtain the daily stormbow for this run but it didn't seem worth risking a visit to the hollow biome luckily for us we had a workaround after reaching hard mode portions of Hell often turn hallowed by farming there instead we can take out the substantially less scary underworld enemies for our souls of light and for those worried about the Red Devil that only spawns after a Mech has been defeated so we're entirely safe and with that it was time to start our first boss site of hard mode destroy seemed like the obvious choice for a couple of reasons first the stormbow is excellent at taking down this boss since it deals considerable damage and it also prevents us from getting overrun by probes secondly I wanted to get my hands on the mega shark as soon as possible while despite isn't the most difficult there is still some risk if we lose track of the boss and suffer hit from the head there's a very real chance it's game over but by using the map in the background I was able to avoid it just fine some of you might be wondering why I cared about the mega shark so much and I don't blame you because on paper it doesn't seem that much better than the stormboat Biff at all but when paired with the Blessed Apple it becomes an incredible option by using the Unicorn Mountain speed we can easily outrun bosses while still dealing considerable damage from afar thanks to the shark's range inaccuracy this strategy alone made quick work of the remaining mechs and queen slime with access to hollow bars we made one of the most important upgrades of the playthrough by crafting the hollowed armor set the iframes from the set bonus are invaluable to run like this since there are so many enemies that can end it in just one or two hits with the max defeated was time to gather some chlorophyte and life fruits however we must do this in the safest way possible because even this late into the game the hardwood jungle still poses a significant threat fortunately I anticipated this problem before entering hard mode in the significantly less frightening prayer on the jungle I created a life root and glorify Farm plantar Arena and a town to drastically reduce the spawn rates at this point all I had to do was grab some chlorophy for the farm and then teleport to the Jungle every so often to collect the Life Fruit if you couldn't tell I really don't want to die to another tortoise after AFK for several days we found ourselves with Max health and enough chlorophyte for our shot though up next is Plantera which is usually a tough fight for me so I decided to try out a new Arena generally it's a bad idea to try and familiar boss strategies in a permadeath run but the arena looks really good on paper so I decided to give it a go dang we're doing some damage though that's a good sign when the mega shark's doing this much I think we'll be okay here I just want to be on the top side of Plantera when uh it transforms [Music] oh it's kind of fast it's a little a little fast this is working really well though as long as it doesn't despawn we should have this wow yes yes dude that feels so good I was I was very scared of Plantera but I shouldn't have been clearly for this challenge I decided against looting the post blunt era Dungeon Because the drops aren't worth dealing with all of this instead we made our way to the temple and since Gollum was such an easy boss I was more afraid of dying to the temple itself the enemies there pack a punch and of course one wrong step onto a pressure plate can be deadly but after slowly disarming all the traps of The Grand Design and dwelling of fairies behind us we reached the altar room safe and sound all right not bad not bad at all that is another boss to feed it for me I fired up some chlorophyte and some glowing mushrooms for shroommate armor while it certainly won't replace the hallowed set we'll be swapping them here and there whenever we could use some extra damage one such occasion is the Duke fishron fight I'm quite experienced with this boss so I felt that trading higher damage for survivability would be worth it especially since they'll be priming this fight for the fishron wings nice very nice did it as fish run down yes that's so good that's so good I can't believe we've got that first try I I still want to go for the wings but thanks tsunami first try is huge nice number two is it oh my God and and razor blade if we want to go dude attempt five is the Run boys attempt five is the run with our new weapon in hand it was time to take on the impressive light I'm a little rusty with this one and I've only fought it a handful of times oh God I'm scared Chad I'm scared 50 hours 30 minutes come on don't let this be the end oh God oh oh that's an issue there's a lot of enemies here oh I didn't buff I didn't buff I should probably do that yeah thank you chat I looked over a second that was good how do we take damage by the way oh oh no oh my God I don't like this I'm getting ready with the recall all right just calm down calm down these stupid gastropods comic potion work bro let's just work let me just do your job it's really not that hard ow oh God oh God I don't know what to do for this face I don't remember what to do I was really close that was so close and I think we'd go up right yeah oh this is bad this is bad this is bad this is bad this is bad everything's fine it looks fine oh I'm gonna teleport on me don't teleport on me okay I'm I was getting weak there damn I was getting weak there okay okay with Empress behind us I was feeling ready to finish this off but just to be safe I farmed for the rod of Discord as it will probably come in handy for the moonlord fight no no no no no no no no no no no no no no I had been purposely avoiding this event because everything about it is painful the lasers are super hard to dodge everything has tons of health and the Martian saucerbeam goes through blocks now which will most definitely one shot us but there was no hiding from this event now luckily I steal the storm but with me so there is a way up the plan was to hide underneath the surface while using the storm bow on the normal enemies until a sauce respawns from there I use the demon conch to teleport to Hell despawning the saucer and at that point it's safe to recall back and continue farming the easier enemies but if I make one wrong move a single mistake we might just lose everything but after a very tense 10 minutes of this event we made it out safe and sound I cheesed it but that's Gigi's we're still living chat most people would probably be afraid of pillars in a run like this I mean just look at these stats but we've got a few tricks up our sleeves to deal with them I started off with the starters pillar because it's the easiest to cheese and also gives us a Stardust Dragon staff a weapon great for fending off the hordes of enemies to do this you just have to wait until a stardust sell spawns and then lure it away from the pillar take down the initial health bar let the cells split off and go into large ones and then rinse and repeat until the red lines stop appearing which indicates that the pillar can be destroyed so now I think the plan is for optimal cheese yeah we do this and we do if your skill you know it dude oh big 63 that's big there is a way to choose the vortex pillar but I didn't know how during this run so I did it more or less by the book I briefly entered the pillar range to spawn some enemies and then retreated before getting overwhelmed it takes a while but it's one of the safer ways of doing this for the solar pillar I stood on a platform above the surface so that I could stay above the normal enemies but avoid angering the crawl to beat an enemy you do not want to mess with in master mode additionally I swapped to the Razer Blade typhoon to avoid the possibility of our projectiles of ricocheting and killing us and with that there was just one more pillar after we take it down there is no going back unlike every other hard mode boss thus far we can't recall away from this one if things get scary and we recall wound will chase us down and end us we only get one chance of this after nearly 60 hours of play I took down the last pillar and started the fight I guess I should probably try and move over to the side real quick uh I'll go around here oh Rob Discord hasn't been switched over after this face okay there's one eye I'm going to try not to turn around anymore I'm just gonna hit the eyes and then keep firing oh boy oh God that was the wrong laser come on iframes I need you I need you please go down yes let's go all right not too far now not too far now no I'm throwing I'm throwing I'm I'm too nervous okay it's fine okay okay uh what am I doing I should have died there I should have died there what happened literally what happened oh thank you all so much for watching subscribe for more hardcore Master mode but next time on the for the Worthy
