it's all you can vegas hey everybody it's derek and i'm here at paris las vegas and i'm headed to gordon ramsay steak this is the menu and of course at gordon ramsay's steak it's all about the steak they've got japanese a five wagyu they've got american wagyu bone in new york bone-in rabbi and a porterhouse 32 ounces for 125 dollars i think that's what i'm going to get i'm tempted to get the beef wellington it is one of his signature items at 59 dollars or the kurobuda double cut pork chops 49 there's even a shellfish platter for 165 i'm not big on shellfish myself so i think i'm going with the porterhouse steak all right i think we're going to start with the british style onion soup and the heirloom tomato salad yes please thank you here with a pistachio mascarpone cheese and a red one vinegar awesome thank you very much thank you very much all right this is the british style soup and this is the heirloom tomato salad oh it's beautiful look at the composition i know so if you are a vegan you you might have a hard time finding something here to eat even the you know heirloom tomato salad isn't vegan this actually is one vegan item on the menu though it is the mushrooms shiitake mushrooms with the soy glaze fried garlic and scallions and i'm pretty sure that's the only thing on the whole menu that's vegan 14 so it'd be pretty pretty inexpensive meal here at gordon ramsay's steak so let's take a look at this heirloom tomato salad my fiance is going to give it a try right we have some marinated tomatoes some baby gem lettuce and pistachio mascarpone underneath baby gem lettuce all right i'm going to go for this tomato here it's already cut all right so this is a beautiful salad it's a beautiful salad i like the composition very much try this right now all right yeah oh that's wonderful the dressing is on the tomatoes there's america oh right marinated tomatoes right that's really nice really creamy i really like it excellent i've got to try the british onion soup this is not french onion although it kind of looks like it there's i guess what makes it british is instead of like just bread under the cheese there's welsh rare bits not rabbit rare bit right which is like a cheese toast i think right yes so is there a cheese under the cheese is the cheese on top okay let's find out [Music] oh yeah that's a lot of cheese on toast oh that is like the i mean that that bread has absorbed all of that that flavor from the soup that deep oniony beefy flavor i think this i'm not sure if there's beef flavor but it sure kind of tastes beefy this is like one of my favorite soups ever all right let's dig into this salad what do you think of that soup oh wow yeah this caramelized onion broth yeah wow wow we have the martha bun very creamy thick cheese and the pistachios down here with the tomatoes great combination all right it's almost time for the main event my fiance has chosen the saffron risotto with diver scallops 54. and i'm getting the porterhouse dry aged for a minimum of 28 days the 32 ounce porterhouse 125 now gordon ramsay actually has five restaurants here in las vegas this one gordon ramsay's steak he has gordon ramsay burger at planet hollywood he's got gordon ramsay pub at caesar's palace he's got gordon ramsay fish and chips at the link and he's got what's the last one hell's kitchen how can i forget click that link right up there to see our review of hell's kitchen at caesar's palace awesome thank you very much thank you wow all right these are the scallops these are the sauces and potatoes and this is the meat oh yeah that is a big piece of meat i can barely get into it here oh look at that let's try to cut it from the other side like the fillet side because this is the porterhouse and it's got like two types of steaks in one oh yeah this is the much more tender side look at that just completely falling apart here let's try this one very very tender that side not as flavorful but definitely more tender so it kind of all balances out and i got a peppercorn sauce to go with it right in there with that peppercorn sauce yeah oh yeah yeah that takes it to a whole other level it is peppery and rich perfect for that steak it looks like pink peppercorns too mm-hmm no and i got mashed potatoes but let's see how the scallops are so we have it's a saffron risotto with seared diaper scallops crispy prosciutto tomato relish and ricotta salad with a dry ricotta here so i'm gonna try to get a little bit of everything in one bite all right you can see the scallops and diaper scallops are so just meaty and tender those looks like really nicely seared yeah somebody want to get a bite with some scallops risotto salad salad there's a little piece of crispy prosciutto as well looking for a whole mouthful just tuck that in okay here we go all right that is as good it's not better than some cuts of fish oh yeah it's just really moist and juicy i love the syrup too nice scallops this is some micro cilantro on top i just tasted it okay and yeah the risotto looks fabulous it's very yellow you're right it's like a nice meaty fish like very succulent then the risotto is like it's like it doesn't taste like rice it tastes like it's creamy like risotto i mean these scallops are so big i'm liking regular scallops all right back to the meat there's even there's a little bit of what looks like uh maybe a mustard down there taste that in a second as soon as we get some more of this meat okay yeah we've got a lot of that uh that whatever that is some kind of mustard or something right how was that yeah that's what it's like but it doesn't compare to this peppercorn sauce and i've got mashed potatoes so it's time to try those too definitely all right perfect these potatoes are like really potatoey like they taste like like more potatoes than like cream or butter or something like very potato-y so you really see how big this cut of meat is i mean that is a meaty meaty steak right there kind of some silver skin or something here a little hard to cut this part all right here we go you gotta try the peppercorn again that seemed to make it so much better yeah peppermint sauce okay so tell me what you think of the the steak okay i'm gonna try the fillet side right now all right yeah very tender this is the filet side over here that's really gentle yeah and yeah let's see i wanted to get you a part of this is like the regular uh the other side of the more like a steak okay rather than a fillet okay try to cut it with my regular knife here yeah okay there we go let me try this by it yeah okay no sauce just stick it's very different from the filet and i think when you try it with the sauce it tastes even different from that we have a pink peppercorn sauce okay here we go it's probably been tough yeah it still changes the flavor entirely it really does i don't think that the stick itself honestly doesn't have that much flavor like it doesn't really have any like crust flavor or even the meat it's like it's a big cup it's a big cut so maybe like all the flavor is still deep inside because i it's like i i i guess i just need to keep eating here just keep eating with the sauce yes with the sauce and the mashed potatoes all right let's give it a further try let me cut from this end maybe i cut it wrong maybe i don't know how to properly cut me that's very likely [Applause] it is better kind of cutting it from this end maybe that's what i was supposed to do okay like it depends on whether with or against the grain i think that the more i get into this steak the more the flavor is deep inside because now i mean this is a really beautiful looking meat right here and i just it just takes a little digging into yeah i think that if you look on the underside here there is definitely a lot of nice char and flavor to be had i should be should have gone in from this side bottom side you can definitely see all that crispy crust yeah you can see that you can see this nice melty tenderness of the fillet side when you really can get all that flavor from the from the crust my peppercorn sauce how is that crazy why the tenderness of that second beast i had from the other side yeah it had the texture of almost like a sushi yeah yeah it's like fantastic right thank you thank you hey can we put in order of the sticky toffee but absolutely thank you thank you and we're done because of course it would not be complete to eat at a gordon ramsay restaurant without getting the sticky toffee pudding every gordon ramsay restaurant here in las vegas has a slightly different take on sticky toffee pudding so we'll see what it's like right here and this is it this is the sticky toffee pudding with brown butter awesome ice cream ice cream it looks like butter it's like a stick of butter but that's ice cream that's this great presentation and this is the sticky toffee pudding all right and he said normally that they will pour this sauce over the stinky toffee pudding but they're asking the guests to do it themselves right now so let's pour oh yeah that's the that's the sticky part of the sticky toffee pudding mmm this smells like toffee it's like all right we'll split it and we'll both give it a try of course the knife now that's split into the ice cream it's covered in liquid toffee so okay here we go uh still good okay hold on thank you you're welcome i got it all over my ice cream ice cream all right let's just cut it here yeah so i'm going to plate this for myself making this half of the cake with the sauce and this is the ice cream if you can see so i'm going to cut this in half cleverly serve like a stick of butter which i think is very cute and charming yeah and the rest of your sweetener oh great i'll just eat off this plate yeah right with a little bit of ice cream the butter on there like that like buttering the bread oh wow that is amazing this makes it all worth it i mean this dessert is a must maybe just come here just for this dessert i would gordon ramsay steak at paris las vegas i mean this is definitely a special occasion restaurant the prices are pretty astronomical but the meat is pretty big it just depends on how much flavor you want in your steak it depends on what cut you order what sauce you order but you really can't go wrong with the soup and salad they're some of the best that i've had hey
