right Danny here from the wandering wedlock's you might be wondering why I am pulling out one pound propane containers from my freezer it's because I'm going to show you guys how to refill these little one-pound containers here which are empty right now and I'm going to fill it with the big tank of propane that we have using the adapter and a scale and I'll show you guys how to do that in just a little bit now in order to do this you're going to need needle nose pliers and you're going to need the adapter you're going to need a big bottle of propane it could be the 20-pound tank or whatnot this is actually the seven gallon tank you'll see the the 20 pound gallon tank so you have only have about maybe four gallons in there so if you're getting the little tanks and you're exchanging them in you're paying the most for propane so what we're going to do is we're going to weigh these babies first you can see that it's right at 13 13 ounces so what we're going to do is these bottles take a pound so I'm going to let all the air out okay you guys can hear it come out there go ahead and weigh this baby again and it is right at 13 ounces which means that when this is filled to one pound it will go from this 13 to this 13 right here right under 2 pounds so I'm going to show you guys how to do that first you're going to take the adapter I bought this one online on Amazon for like seven bucks the thread is the opposite so you have to hand crank it to the left side and then now what you're going to do is you're going to flip the bottle over so that the liquid propane is closest to the hose and I'll show you in just a second okay now I have turned the propane bottle upside down the nozzle is sticking out on the edge right here and I've got the adapter sticking out on the I'm going to go ahead and crank this baby in like that you want a hand hand-tighten you don't want to go too far in because if you go too far in then the whole thing is going to turn and it's going to loosen itself over here so once you tighten it in you want to use go I'm going to hold on to it and hand tighten it there you go and now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and take this nod we'll see if you guys can see it that you know I'm going to go ahead and turn it up and hopefully you guys can hear it come in okay hopefully you guys can hear this baby here okay so it's starting to slow down I don't know you guys can hear it but it almost sounds like a like rain falling from a tin roof on a tin roof when that starts to slow down what you want to do is you want to take it out but before you take it out you got to turn this baby off first because they'll just keep shooting out again so you turn this thing off then you unscrew this it's going to be a little bit there's gonna be a little bit of gas we're going to weigh it it doesn't seem like there's much on there it's only went up about one so what you want to do is watch to relieve the pressure now a lot of people will tell you to go into this valve here and you've got to have a needlenose plier that's small enough and you lift it up but what I do is I just go straight down this way first the reason why I go up this way is because then this thing does not get camford with and it doesn't because a lot of people sometimes when you mess with this it starts to leak and you don't want to do that so I just go it go directly on here screw it back on fill it up again it takes a lot of people say it takes a minute it takes me with this tank more than a minute to fill it up release the pressure a little bit twist it back up and then I'm going to turn the valve again when I turn the valve again you'll hear the same thing go off because the pressure is now gonna be a little bit drive the wrong way so you're going to hear the sizzle all over again and you're going to repeat that staff step until this scale goes all the way up to here all right I'll show you guys in just a little bit and I just turned it on again hopefully you guys can hear now the reason why you put these in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before to chill them is because the pressure if the pressure is colder on one side than the other then it's going to take longer for this tank to fill up and it's going to take longer for this tank to pressurize you can see it's showing it's coming out of it so it's going to take some more time to pressurize this smaller container here you have to let out less air so I'm going to go ahead and continue waiting for it it's still going off there and I'll just keep repeating the process until this thing gets up to one pound you don't want to overfill it and if you overfill it you can just let some of it out like this and just let all of it out this one is empty now but you just let it out that way and again you don't have to use this and mess with this if you don't want to you can just directly go and release the valve from right here so you have less chance of messing messing things up okay this is my second time taking enough I'm going to weigh this baby and it is about half full so when the pressure when the pressure equalized it doesn't mean that it's full so that's the reason why you need to scale you don't want to overdo it because then there is fire risk and explosion risk and stuff like that so you want that scale on there but you want to do this a couple more times relieve some of the air some of the pressure and then go ahead and do it again sorry about the shaky camera guys I'm doing this by myself so there you go and you can hear it going again and you just keep doing that until it is completed so that is how you refill the propane bottles from Danny from wandering wedlock's we'll see you guys later bye
