[Music] sup guys it's Travis traveling day outdoors so on today's how-to video I'm gonna show you how a rig a tight line for catfishing so the first thing you need for cat business is the next so I'm using a chip finger for the purpose of this video do not take your it's good for typical River at normal pool level with normal current flow for higher current flow you definitely might we'll look at using three ounce for ounce five reading stick down depending on the price but typically for most circumstances a two ounce weight would be free hook I'm using a curve coat right here I like using the curve folks for catfishing just because a lot of times when I go a catfish in there could be rocks you could alleges the curve hook help staying hook a lip a little better on the catfish so I recommend these enough so what we're gonna do that we'll go through show you how to put sinker on and then I'll see tie the hook on first step you want to do is the sinker as most people know they've made outlet sometimes when they're made there's a little bit excess metal right here now so I always like to take the hook put it in there stop a little pressure and just round it out right there kind of do that let's make sure there's no little pieces of metal left in there it's happened to me many times where I put a finger on didn't do that and I throw it out and snap off because there's a little pizza sharp blade there's something left in there so definitely your first step so next thing you wanna do obviously get fishing line the time or not I use for thinkers and for the hooks is actually a polymer or not so what you don't do is you're gonna pinch it make like a loop give yourself plenty of room so I got bow light that month right there so take that loop right there take your sinker run that loop right through the hole there all right pull it up guy that right there now you're gonna tie basically your granny knot so run that loop through there pull it down alright so you got an extra you got your loop right there to pull you enough line out right there that can go all the way around the sinker you're gonna pull it around and then pull up on it right here and that's parlament on you guys think it's hat on again just like all the other night I like to put a couple granny knots in there just give a little extra strength to in there.put in ther there we go so got your sinker tied off again cut that excess off all right so you gets pick her up now the next step you want to do is you want it to tickle so I like to go up so from the sinker just go up a little bit make a loop and want to try to get it to hang about an inch or half inch above the sinker later so make your loop let's come back here and tie the line to itself and do this twice so I made a little loop I took the loop here from this run it through they go back and run it through pull tight pull down on it right there so I got my line you got hanging up fouled and then above that sinker so I made my loop now it's time to put check on hey tuck take that loop you just hide we're gonna write to the hook come down loop this loop around the hook pull it up and pull it down like that and there you go you now have a tight line rigged for catfish the reason you want to rig it like this is your sinker will float down to the bottom just sit there at the bottom your hook will flow with the current like this so and as a current ill ball up and down and whatever about you is so whether it be a lot of a like worm tomatoes whatever it'll flow right there ain't no really entice to come in in it I hope you enjoyed this how-to video on how to do a time lapse of catfishing until next time guys keep it real [Music] [Music] you
