it's so good to be back with you this week and this is part 2 so just in case you haven't watched last week's episode on how to prepare for a pandemic I hope you take the time to watch that because it's going to be addressing what you need to go out and physically have purchased to have on hand in your home to prepare yourself and your family if you happen to be out and exposed to this particular corona virus that's going around at the time of this filming but even if you watch this ten years from now and there's a whole different pandemic going on you're gonna need that so go out and watch last week's episode then gather back here with us because we're going to talk about today the ways that you can boost the immunity of yourself physically and all of your family and as naturally as possible so that you're prepared for any pandemic scenario that comes your way don't go away [Music] first of all the three things that we're all recommended to do to boost our immune system so that when we are exposed to it and even perhaps contract it we don't want to die is load up on vitamin C as natural as you can get load up on vitamin C you want to get lots of oranges and limes and lemons in your house you can even order online if you need to vitamin C keep in mind that it does only keep for it just depends I don't even want to be quoted on telling you because once it's exposed to air and warmth it kind of goes bad after a couple of months relatively quickly but if it's sealed and in a good airtight container it should last a lot longer but you need to be having vitamin C in some form so you get it in the powder or you can get it through your natural fruits and vegetables there are lots of vegetables that you can grow in your garden to get that vitamin C but also remember and I'll link it above you can get vitamin C from pine trees so in case you happen to have a good pine tree in your backyard go out and learn how to make pine needle tea because it has like five times the amount of vitamin C that you would ever get for a daily dose like out of oranges and such so that's a really good thing to keep in mind know where the pine trees are around you okay I know that kind of sounds crazy but it's really important in any situation that you find yourself also one of the things to keep your immune system high is by having a low intake of sugar that's another reason why it's good to know about pine needle tea versus oranges because if you try and just double up and triple up on drinking orange juice and eating oranges you are really taking in quite a bit of sugar with that vitamin C that you're getting in your system so keep that in mind next zinc fantastic for boosting immunity and you can get it in lots of different forms I do know from personal experience you don't want to take zinc on empty stomach because oh it's hard on a heart on a belly if you take it on an empty stomach so make sure you take it with a good full meal but this is going to help immensely not just with your hair and nails and skin but it is going to help a lot with your new immune system getting boosted up also vitamin D they say that absolutely just getting out in sunshine outside everybody needs at least ten minutes of sunshine on their skin so if you go outside and are completely covered that's not going to help you so much you need to get out there and let that Sun warm you up and help your body naturally produce that vitamin D that it needs to boost your immune system if you can't though go out and purchase vitamin D and take it internally that would be the as a last resort of course you can also get it from a lot of fruits and vegetables but you want a high amount of that in your system to boost that immunity I want to talk about other things there are so many things you can do naturally like growing your vegetable garden out your back I just want you to think strategically that there are more reasons to have vegetables on hand than you ever realized but if you were to grow your own that's going to help you so that you don't have to go to the store and be exposed to other folks right it's also going to help with the vitamin content because you're going to have organic wonderful vegetables that are growing on your own and you can be strategic and specific like garlic is extremely high and so many of the good things that boost our immune system you can grow your own garlic and onions and even ginseng now I don't have any well no I don't have any fresh ginseng here with me today but you can order ginseng and this is one of my favorites this little red panax ginseng extract that you can get a little 30 30 bottles 30 vials I've used all of them but they come in these little tiny vials and they come without their own little straw and those are fantastic for boosting your immune system but you can grow your own ginseng as well you're going want to learn how to make fermented foods because any kind of fermented foods and vegetables are going to be very good for boosting your immune system also if you've watched our episode on how to dehydrate the like the carrot tops and the beet tops and all the extra things from your garden all that green foilage that you don't generally throw into the pan and eat in your stew go ahead and learn what you can do right and powder up and make your own version of probiotic Yule prebiotic excuse me probiotics are super good for boosting your immune system but prebiotics prepare your body to even respond to the probiotics like like kefir or yogurt prebiotics are really just a whole bunch of dehydrated ground-up vegetables and you can make your own free of charge but if you don't have the ability to do that go ahead and buy some online this particular one I have is from Gundry MD and this is pre bio thrive and if I look at the ingredients it's just a whole bunch of bite of green stuff from the garden really I want you to get whatever you need though they are not a sponsor or any kind of affiliate that I'm trying to promote just get whatever works for you you need to have greens in your system to be able to respond to the yogurts and the Kieffer's that are those probiotic rich foods that are going to help boost that immune system okay you're going to want to get in shape I want you to think about this right now currently what I'm addressing specifically is the corona virus that that jumps on a person kind of in the form of what we know is the flu so you're immediately going to feel your lungs kind of get tight and have a cougher cold symptoms come up and pretty soon it constricts enough that you're not getting the oxygen you need to run your body so right now ahead of time think strategically this is the time to be exercising such that you can get those lungs at their very best capacity to handle taking an ox I want you to just one of the simplest things is just learning how to take deep breaths and hold it for about four seconds and then slowly breathe out about four seconds breathe as deep as you can so that you're feeling out all the way down to your belly learn how to do that that's something simple all of us can do but that's not enough you actually need to go out and do some sort of cardiovascular exercise that's going to make those lungs really work hard and every time you do that that's going to give them the opportunity to actually expand and be able to hold more oxygen and pump more oxygen into that blood system of yours and get healthier and stronger so in the event that they are infected they can handle that infection without skipping a beat and that's what I want for all of you get eight hours of rest for you and everyone in your family every night don't scrimp don't go way over that amount but somewhere right in that sweet spot of seven and a half to nine hours of really good sleep are needed for our immune systems to be at their very best second drink lots of water your grandma said it and your mama probably did too this is when you need to make it a practice of drinking a lot of good clean water every single day also there are essential oils that are going to be valuable to you and I'm gonna say do your own research because everybody's gonna give you a different answer but I know that there are specific essential oils like oregano oil and tea tree oil and clove oil that are excellent at being antibacterial and antiviral and antifungal those are the types of oils that you want to learn the most about and get yourself a little supply of those because you may be thankful for learning how to use those in the future and you're going to want people to keep good oral hygiene so brush your teeth every morning and every night if you can wash your mouth out with Listerine or some kind of salt water that's going to be something you can gargle with and doubt those kind of practices put into place right now on the front end are going to be very valuable to you later and some people like me you don't have to be convinced that this is right for you but some people like me enjoy taking at least one or two tablespoons of vinegar every morning and every night on an empty stomach I think it helps boost my immune system immensely but that is personal opinion now there are some people that are throwing out all kinds of naturopathic things to do and I want you to be very cautious listening to those because currently at the time of this video being made we do not have proof there have not been enough studies to prove that say colloidal silver if you can inhale that or have it ready is going to do anything to counteract this virus so don't bank on all of the naturopathic hopeful remedies that we might want to have on hand the ones I've heard most commonly are that colloidal silver they're saying and kind of an aerosol version of breathing that in is going to help you and I have no proof or have no experts that are giving me proof that that's going to be helpful so I cannot recommend that though it might be good to have on hand another one is the hypertonic saline that's great dab on hand I'm gonna let you do your own research but I have no proof that that's going to help in this situation and also things like elderberry syrup or those heavy-duty tinctures of the garlic and the onion and the ginger and ginseng and turmeric and all of that those are fantastic for boosting your immune system but they are not known to cure this or to keep you from getting this virus so don't listen to all the hype on those and don't buy into somebody trying to sell you some sort of expensive syrup that's going to keep you from getting this corona virus because we have no proof on any of that just yet personally in my home I love to have vitamin B on hand because whenever I do get sick I very much like the boost that it gives sort of like when you can go to the doctor and get one of those vitamin B shots that makes your immune system go up and gives you a whole bunch of the energy so I usually keep a vitamin b-complex that has multiple versions of it on hand and then I actually love these little and some of you are gonna tell me I'm just terrible but these are actually an Ender the energy shot of just b12 it's 10,000 percent of the b12 that you need for a day but boy it sure does give you a boost of good healthy energy without having caffeine and a whole bunch of other stuff added to it this is stuff that I just keep on hand for when I do happen to get sick also you're going to want Clorox wipes but I'm going to talk to you about that a lot of people have read on the back of older versions of Clorox wipes that actually has the word coronavirus as one of the things that it defends against but Lysol and Clorox have both been approached about this specific Co vid 19 that we're having as app endemic go through the world right now and they say look we don't think it fits in the 99.9% of stuff that this kills this is a special version and so even though it's similar to SARS which this has been learned this has been found to actually kill the SARS virus so that's good but there's no proof that it's going to be effective against corona virus also it's only effective on very flat smooth surfaces that are non-porous so keep that in mind it's good to sterilize your environment your your home but this is not the cure-all that's going to protect you so don't be relying heavily on that no matter what you hear I think it's interesting if you go and even buy from one of those medical supply companies the the ramped up version of Clorox wipes they have these Santa cloth wipes that you can wipe down all the really yucky services in the hospital where people have feces and blood and things that are just very offensive this is what they use to get rid of any kind of bacteria and germs and that might be in there but it's interesting that no matter how expensive you buy these because the more expensive the better they are usually but they often mention the different things that they kill but they have an amount of time that is required like this one that I'm reading this says the three-minute germicidal wipe and I have another one here these are super Santa cloths these say that they take two minutes and what that means is that whatever you're wiping down that might have a virus on it needs to be kept wet for two full minutes before you can be certain that it has killed that virus I think that's really important for us to know and it might be good for you if you're just wiping down with Clorox wipes which is what most of us do keep it very wet keep it saturated for a couple of minutes before you have confidence that you're ready to move on and clean someplace else all right a lot of folks have gone out and bought alcohol or hydrogen peroxide thinking that's gonna help and I do want you to go up and make sure that you've gotten several of those from the store but get the strongest that you can you'll notice that the cheaper versions like I have here are not the strongest this is a 3% which is the most common hydrogen peroxide that you can usually get but you can get it up to 30% and I would recommend if you are trying to use it for this kind of pandemic stuff yeah get the stronger and then this isopropyl alcohol you'll notice I got at the dollar store it's just 50% and so though it's great for disinfecting wounds and such this is not going to be as strong as I would like it to be you want it to be 97 percent or whatever really high percentage of alcohol when you're trying to fight something like a pandemic virus keep in mind if you live in an urban area and happen to have pets that you do want to be watching them closely if you happen to go out to a dog park and expose them to someone or some other pet who might be the coronavirus on them they can not only be carriers themselves then that bring it back into your home but they can also contract it so you know in a pet or a dog you're gonna notice that their symptoms look a little bit different they have kind of loose bowels on almost like a stomach flu going on in their situation which is a little different than the respiratory symptoms you'll see in humans lastly let's talk about water because a lot of folks have a lot of confusing information coming at them about water it is a little bit scary and disconcerting that they have said that over in China right now that the the virus has gone through the pipes in the water systems and through the vents in the air-conditioning so you can be very exposed to this virus even just turning your faucet on that's scary so there are a couple of things you can do some folks are getting the most expensive big berkey water filters and I think that's great and there's a certain micron measurement that it filters out and is to be pretty effective at that but it's also very expensive I will say that the LifeStraw and the Sawyer straws that are so popular they actually are not rated to to filter out the small size of the corona virus so you can't just rely on those it would be my strongest recommendation that if you are in doubt at all that your water system would be in some way compromised from a virus or a pandemic type thing that you would just start boiling just let it be a routine it's my routine here at my house because my water doesn't taste very good out of the tap anyway I just go ahead and boil it and then always have a pot on the stove that is ready to go and I let it cool down and drink it cool over ice when I need it but always have boiled water available for your family that's going to to be the very best option for you I want to mention one more thing hand sanitizer is something that we're all relying heavily on for any situation like this and the doctors and experts are saying look just keep yourself clean wash your hands with good nice hot soap and water for 20 full seconds and you'll be just fine but if you are carrying around hand sanitizer and I do pick them up every chance I get these little purse sized ones this is a promotional item from my dentist clinic and so I'm thankful every time I have the opportunity but they said that this is what most of us do we get a little tiny bit and we rub our hands together and think we're good to go right that's not nearly enough to cover and to get everything we need off in fact there are parts of the backs of my hands that haven't even been touched with this you need to really get into it I'm telling you use a very big helpful portion about a quarter size there on your hand where you've got it about dripping off and covering every bit of those hands and wrists and as much skin as being exposed that's what you want and you want to rub it down completely until it's entirely evaporated that's the correct way to use hand sanitizer right now when you're going through a pandemic situation all right there is absolutely no way for us to cover everything or to assume that any of us are experts on this topic this is something that's unfolding daily with new details with more information with more studies that are going on so definitely comment down below with what you are doing to help boost the immune systems of your family and the more natural you can give us the better we love hearing what you have to say but I want to encourage all of us to not only go easy on the other people that have completely different opinions than ourselves but also look carefully with discernment at what comments are added because some folks claim to be complete experts on this and none of us are right yet also it's important that all of us do our own research listen to who you need to listen to that's an expert in the medical field or in the natural field that knows these things from a lot of testing and a lot of research not just all the neighbors and the people on YouTube that are telling you what they think that is the right thing to do all right we love you I can honestly say I pray that the Lord keeps you safe and well and that you all survive and that we see each other one day and give each other big ole hugs but for right now will you take the time in the next week to go out and find somebody that needs blessed and be a generous and gracious blessing to them and we'll see you back here next time we're even good bye for now [Music] hey before you go I want to share with you a quick word of Scripture this is out of Psalm 62 verses 1 & 2 it says for God alone my soul waits in silence from him comes my salvation he alone is my rock and my salvation my fortress I will not be greatly shaken now be strong seek God's wisdom and let's meet at the banquet table and swap adventure stories [Music]
