okay so here's how to play Jinx in season 14 and let me hit you with the Ugly Truth first the new season has not been kind to crit Marksman in any way while ad carries who can build theity or on hit items got a lot of strong tools right now crit builds are overall nerfed quite significantly when Mythic items were introduced back in the day Riot nerfed crit damage and crit value on full items to take some of their power away to make up for the strong Mythic effects now in season 14 the Mythic item concept has been removed again but the crit Nerfs that had been put in place for compensation are still there crit is quite weak as a result needless to say and Jinx must build crit to scale and function she cannot take advantage of The lethality Buffs and Marksman who can will give her a hard time in theory but here's the good news League of Legends solo que has very little to do with the meta people often use op Champions and strategies as an excuse as a shield to not confront themselves with the harsh reality that they are in in fact losing their games because of skill issue League of Legends at its core is about knowing your power spikes baiting the enemy allowing them to make lethal Tempo presence of Mind Legend bloodline and cutdown with absolute focus and Gathering storm secondary lethal Tempo is the perfect Jinx Keystone it just does everything for this champion ion you can stack it very fast and consistently in minigun form dealing lots of ramping damage with the ramping attack speed and you can also take full advantage of the bonus range with your high ranged rocket qes once this Rune is fully stacked and you have enough points in your que and switch to Rocket form to Auto attack there is no champion in the game who can threaten you just kite at max range and the team fight is easy it is a really strong Rune very strong in the late game indeed and Jinx wants to play for the late game anyway so it's a perfect match now a lot of jinx's Team fighting she is an immobile crit Marksman who is easy to oneshot will come down to fighting in Q rocket form so presence of mind is mandatory Rockets cost Mana per Auto attack and you have a lot of attack speed so you will pay a lot of Mana for them but you want to keep going with your passive as soon as that first Target Falls and you don't want to be forced a minigun form with presence of mind though you can keep attacking in rocket form if you have to so you can freely switch your play style according to the situation in the next slot we have Legend bloodline and that's also set in stone Legend alacrity is nice for ad carries who want to make plays early and and who also have life steal in their build but Jinx has neither Legend bloodline also only comes live in the late game but Jinx plays for the late game as I've said so it's also a perfect match it frees up your item slots from more aggressive options while still keeping you healthy during team fights now cutdown is usually a fringe option for ad carries allowing them to cut down tanks faster as the name implies but it's also the best scaling Rune in this slot quig grass is very consistent at all stages of the game but the early game for Jinx is not as important fighting wise you want to farm for the most part so taking cut down instead of kudrass makes your late game even stronger and the late game is where you want to be on Jinx you just want to scale as much as possible which is also the reason why you want absolute focus in gathering storm all the bonus ad will scale greatly with your attack speed and crit making each Auto attack hit even harder a very straightforward and streamlined Rune page that you can just copy and play right away without needing to worry about customization and your item build on Jinx is almost as streamlined as well but there are options for a little bit of customization about about which we'll talk right now but a full standard cookie cutter build that you can just play every game if you want to is bazara griefs Kraken Slayer Infinity Edge then rapid fire Cannon Lord Dominic's regards and guardian angel getting berserker's gaves early is a very important power Spike for Jinx also keeping you safe due to the extra movement speed but just the attack speed from bazara gaves in combination with your minigun form allows you to stack lethal Tempo very consistently should you be forced to fight early which by the way is generally something you want to avoid on this Champion your first real item is Kraken Slayer which importantly builds out of the component noon quiver noon quiver is just the best component item for crit Marksman in the game so getting an item that builds out of this is very important it makes your lane phase less abusable and the full item Kraken Slayer is also perfect with jinx's game plan Jinx always wants to play Team fights front to back so you will Auto attack the same front line Target over and over and over stacking lethal Tempo maybe also stacking your Q minig gun form but most importantly dealing damage with Kraken Slayer which ramps up if you keep attacking the same Target and and now that you have sufficient crit and attack speed you can also build your infinity edge for your second real item it is just mathematically speaking the best damage option you have and you need to be able to deal damage it's all Jinx is designed to do the reason crit is so important by the way is that your AOE explosions on your rocket form Auto attacks also scale with crit if that wasn't the case and Jinx had instead more power budget in other aspects of her kits she could also work with different builds but due to that crit scaling crit is just too important on her so now that you have berserker's gaves Kraken Slayer and infinity edge you can start customizing the build a little bit I suggested rapid fire Cannon for your next item but in reality it's a choice you either go rapid fire Cannon or Run's hurricane or phantom dancer in that slot all of these items accomplish a similar thing giving very similar stats but they all have different accents rapid fire Cannon is a good combo with your long Q range while also being the preferred options during Siege situations Run's hurricane is the best for team fighting because the extra bolts also apply your AOE rocket explosions making for massive AOE damage and phantom dancer finally is the best for 1 V1 dueling because of the ramping attack speed and also in general a nice combo with lethal Tempo here you can either pick whatever you like best or you can just default to Rapid Fire Cannon or you can try to feel out the game what your team's trying to do if they're sieging if they're team fighting or if they're split pushing or whatever and then make your choice according to that but in reality it's personal preference and you can do what you want here now Lord Dominic's regards as the default in the next slots but of course if the enemy has lots of healing and your team refuses to buy healing r ction you can also get more to reminder here Guardian Angel is the most common choice in the last slot because death timers are very long in the late game and a dead ad carry can lose your team the game so the passive is really valuable but in games where you're not as worried about enemy burst damage or where you just don't need the armor blood thirster or Shield bow are que significantly increases the range of your rocket Auto attacks which are your most important tool in fights So the plan is always to farm to upgrade your Rockets which then allows you to play more aggressively as the game progresses this means that you ideally start looking for fights from level 9 onwards but the power increases gradual of course so even with just four skill points in Q you can already do a lot of damage should a fight Break Out near the bot Lane as long as the target poses no direct threat feel free to attack in minigun form to stack lethal Tempo faster and also to deal more damage of course but as soon as the enemy starts paying attention to you you instantly go into rocket form and attack from max range and as soon as the first enemy Falls your passive just does the rest super simple front to back fighting but very effective on Jinx of course this is not only true for fights the more powerful your que gets the more aggressive you can be in Lane as well due to your passive play earlier in Lane your opponents might even be conditioned to consider you a pushover so they keep looking for engages without realizing how much you've already scaled but don't rely on this too early you should be at least level seven AKA Four Points in Q to start playing like this anyway this naturally means that in the mid game Jinx is a very threatening bully way past a level 9 Tipping Point you still don't want to run in head first of course because you're immobile and easy to catch but the threat of your max range Auto attacks is definitely there especially when you can acquire more and more items just stay near the center of the map without overextending so you are always ready to strike whenever any member of any team starts a fight that anti- Synergy between maoka and Oriana was really hard to look at but keep in mind had Jinx been the initial Target of the engage this could have ended poorly yet when you avoid getting engaged on you can freely Zone with your W and your rocket range to ramp up your damage and the later the game goes the better for Jinx your combination of range and damage is truly oppressive as it makes you both threatening and hard to
